Comments: We had a great stay at Erin's place. Even though we did not have the chance to meet with Erin in person, he was a great communicated and answered rapidly to all our inquiries. The studio is big, perfectly located and well equipped. We particularly enjoyed relaxing on the private Lanai (outdoor terrasse). There were towels and beach towels available which was very convenient. Hardly recommended!

Comments: My niece Jia Lani and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to beautiful Kauai and our stay in the Princeville condo. The neighborhood was lovely and Dan, Erin and their nearby neigbors were friendly yet not overbearing, giving us our space and privacy. The studio is cute, clean, modern and though small, it has a light airy feel and been set up in such a way as to maximize space and comfort. We really enjoyed the nearby hot, bubbly jacuzzi and pool as well. It is a great North Shore deal for budget minded travelers who want their own space. Mahalo, Dan and Erin, we hope to see you again soon!

Comments: We stated at Erin's for 3 days: the space was very private and cozy and had everything we needed. The layout isn't typical of an apartment - there was no kitchen per se, but there was a full sized fridge, along with a hot plate and other kitchen supplies if you want to cook in the suite. Alternatively, there is a BBQ in the pool area which you can use. The lanai was large and furnished, and a fan kept the room cool at night. There were also beach chairs, a cooler, towels for guest use, which was excellent. The suite itself was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The only downfall was the parking - if you didn't get there early enough all the non-reserved spaces were full. We got a warning for parking on the grass, with a message that we'd be fined and our tires booted if we did it again. Re: location - Princeville is a super posh resort area and you kind of have to drive to go anywhere cool (e.g. Hanelei) so we didn't love it, but it definitely depends what you are into. There are restaurants, shops and groceries nearby, and the suite is within walking distance to Queen's Bath and Anini beach (long walks, but walks nonetheless).

Comments: Everything about the studio in Princeville met our needs. Erin was in contact with us before we got there, and was available for anything we needed once we arrived. The studio was clean, and all the essentials were there for us. We appreciated the beach towels, and chairs, as that cut down on things we needed to bring/rent. Also, the pool area was a huge plus, having a hot tub and bbq to use at night was a real positive...and having a wireless connection was key for my wife to keep up with her work needs. We also loved the lanai, very relaxing and comfortable.

Comments: Small, cozy, comfortable and affordable little studio. The Airbnb description of the place is spot on with what you get. Place has a small kitchenette where you can cook basic meals for breakfast/lunch. A big dinner may be tough to do since you only have 1 hot plate to work with but there are a couple of grills at the pool that you can use to make a feast if you want. Location also is very good. It is less than a 10 minute drive from Hanalei Bay and just a few minutes from Princeville Shopping Center. You can also drive a few minutes or walk 15 minutes to the ocean, in particular Queen's Bath, which is a beautiful area - just be careful if surf is up and waves crashing high on rocks. You definitely need a car to enjoy the area, though, unless you're willing to wait for bus or good at hitching a ride. Overall, we were very happy with the place and would stay here again.

Comments: Room was exactly as described. Private entrance, plenty of towels for beach/shower, great location on north shore, very soft bed, parking lot fills up fast, was forced to park in a reserved spot and woke up to a nasty note, luckily wasn't towed tho, enjoyed the guide books in the room and the sea shells that welcomed my arrival. Only complaint was a broken alarm clock. Would def stay again.

Comments: Dan and Erin were wonderful hosts! Our unit was exactly as described on airbnb. It was clean and comfortable. The wireless internet was fast! Princeville is such a wonderful place to be in! The lanai was spacious and the pool and hot tub were an added bonus! Had a great time staying at Dan and Erin's place.

Comments: The condo was as described and in a perfect Princeville location! The community has quiet hours that were respectfully observed, which made it a peaceful place to unwind at night. The pool & hot tub area are beautifully done and just a few steps from your door. The condo is a great deal for seeing the beauty of the north shore...convenient to charming Hanalei & Queen's Bath.

Comments: The studio was as represented in the photos and description. It was self-sufficient, well equipped, had towels and a small cooler for the beach. We did not meet the hosts; we had no need to ring them as everything went smoothly. The location is convenient and located in an apartment complex with families and children. We always found parking available in the lot near the studio without a problem. Thanks.

Comments: I loved the space! The studio did not feel small at all with the soaring wooden ceiling and the airy windows. The shower had great water pressure and actually got hot. A perfect location to explore the North Shore, I wish we'd had more time here. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Comments: Erins apartment was an excellent and safe area of Princeville. Great for our cousins wedding, which was just a mile down the road. Erin was communicative before our stay to recommend sites and places for us to visit. Apartment was a good size with all you need. Definitely keep your screen door closed to avoid getting bitten by mosquitos.

Comments: What a great place to stay! We went surfing, explored the Na Pali coast, ate amazing food, and went skydiving. All great location to this space. Exactly as described on the site. Had a little outside porch that we used at night to wind down. The hosts were very responsive and helpful.

Comments: Our host Erin was present when we arrived. She was helpful when we asked for a second set of pillowcases. We expected a kitchenette as the property was listed as a studio. We were only able to heat water for tea in the coffee maker. It would be nice to have a hot plate . We didn't like washing dishes in the bathroom sink. The place was pretty noisy with noise from neighbors and the parking lot at all hours.

Comments: Simple, comfy unit, just as described. My husband and I stayed for two nights at the tail end of a week long visit to Kauai. Honestly, we weren't there at the unit much, we just needed a place to sleep, shower, and maybe cook a little bit of breakfast or dinner. Who needs more than that in beautiful Kauai? There is so much to do and see! We left the unit early each morning, and always managed to be back to by 7 PM, so we didn't have any trouble with the parking. If we needed food after that, we just walked to the market or restaurants in Princeville. We couldn't get the electrical outlet near the sink to work (The most convenient for cooking, or hairstyling devices), but it wasn't important enough for us to contact the owners. It's an apartment complex, and just as you would expect, you can hear people talking and shouting to their friends and kids. Although we never met, directions from Dan and Erin were clear and easy, and all communication was friendly.

Comments: The studio was comfortable. There is no air conditioning so we were a little to warm, especially sleeping at night. The studio was clean and there were plenty of towels. There is an outside deck to sit and relax.

Comments: This place was perfect! Good location. Only a ten minute drive down the hill to Hanalei Bay. Super close to Princeville shops for supplies. We cooked in the unit a few nights and had everything we needed. The place is way nicer and newer than the photos suggest. The bed was really comfortable and nice clean sheets and towels. We used the pool which was great and the lanai was also awesome to hang out on. Didn't hear a peep from the owners. Only their extremely well written and informative guest book. Would definitely stay here again. These guys have a awesome place!! Thanks for having us!!

Reviewer: Meytal
Comments: The studio is exactly as listed on the site. Comfortable and fairly convenient as long as you have a car. Parking is easy in the lot and the pool is right down the stairs and didn't seem to get too busy. We were able to use the grill there to BBQ one night and eat at one of the tables by the pool - although, there isn't really enough lighting and it gets buggy, so I can understand people cooking out and carrying back to their flats to eat. There isn't really any space in the flat to sit or eat though - that is one downside. For breakfasts we ended up perching on the sofas outside and using the corner of the table that is out on the lanai. Also the condo management seem quite strict so be careful about leaving your towels out to dry -- we ended up having to go home with a bag full of wet towels and bathing suits because there is no place suitable to hang them to dry. Other than that, this is good value for the money and you can drive easily into Hanalei (which is much more laid back than Princeville). Erin was a good hostess - generous and easy to communicate with, and the flat was clean.

Comments: The studio was homely and comfortable and well-located. We didn't meet our hosts but access was easy via a code on a lockbox on the door. The studio was clean and the pool area was fantastic. We wish we'd found this place before staying at an over-priced hotel for a week!

Comments: Dan and Erin's place did the trick for its price point. Not a big place but had all the basics you needed for a relaxing vacation. Towels, pool/hot tub, and lanai were nice touches. Kitchenette, sliding door, and freezer door were a lil janky. Prime location for the north shore.

Comments: We were not looking for anything super fancy, as we knew we would be out and about on Kauai during our trip. This studio was clean, comfortable and in a nice group of condos in Princeville, minutes away from Hanalei Bay and beaches. The bed was very comfortable with warm blankets for the cooler, rainy weather at night. The owners were incredibly helpful and responsive with questions and directions. The neighboring units were quiet (we never even heard anyone!) and it was a very nice vacation for an incredible price! We will definitely come back again!

Comments: HIGHLIGHT: It is a full studio apartment with a hottub. You cannot get this kinda bargain anywhere else. LOCATION: great location in the heart of quiet Princeville. A really short drive away from Hanalei and Kilaeua, which is nice because these streets (with their lack of streetlights) get pitch dark at night. THE SPOT: Hot tub, which we took full advantage of. A private, comfortable and clean balcony complete with a couch (that is totally nap-able) and surfboards. NOISE/CLEANLINESS: Clean (even cleaner than things look in the photos). Walls are a bit thin and your host does live right next door, so no loud shenanigans. Pretty quiet apartment complex (with the exception of the roosters)

Comments: Great place. Location was superb. Most of our time was spent on the road visiting destinations. If parking, try to get home early as after 8:00pm parking is scarce. Erin was sweet and accommodating. The pool on site was very convenient as well. (Just remember no glass by the pool) Tip: if this is your first stop on your trip make note that they have items to borrow on site during your stay. (Cooler, boogie boards, some sunscreen and towels) Cheers, Brad and Katheryne

Comments: It's a nice little room with a private bath in an apartment complex. It's right near the pool but you can't hear it from the room. I wouldn't say it's a studio, though, as it doesn't have a real kitchen. It's more of a hotel room-like kitchenette, although they do outfit it with some hotplates and whatnot. It was very clean and Dan and Erin were kind and helpful. Although they had a baby, as did we, I didn't hear much from next door and we all slept well.

Comments: This was a small unit, well-located in a quiet group of condos. It was comfortable for two with a nice bed and pleasant roofed porch overlooking the parking lot. It is perfect for someone looking for a convenient location and a good place to sleep at a low price. A pool, gas grill, and jacuzzi were on the premises. It is not a place for people who want luxury, to entertain guests, or cook indoors.

Comments: This rental was perfectly comfortable for two people. In fact, it seemed larger in person than I initially thought. Dan and Erin were very nice and welcoming. Also, the location is awesome, as we discovered the North Side and Hanalei Bay to be our favorite location on the island. Everything you could need (towels, silverware, a cooler, etc.) for your stay is already there, otherwise It's an easy walk to shops, restaurants, and a grocery store. Queen's Bath is nearby and fun to see. There's a pretty cool waterfall on that trail as well. Although to see the best waterfalls you'll need to hike a ways or take a ride in a helicopter! We really didn't hang around the rental during the day... We would leave early to beach it, hike, explore and come back at night to sleep. But for less active people, I think spending more time around these condominiums would be extremely easy. The noise level is fine, the pool is quality, the grills are brand new, too. Whether you spend lots of time at this rental or not, its extremely affordable and livable for two people. I give our stay five stars!

Comments: An ideal place to stay for vacation! The town of Hanalei is only a short drive away with the beach and many places to eat and hang out. Room is clean and comes with towels, beach chairs, WiFi, basic kitchenware, and beach chairs. Comfy couches outside on the balcony, too. I never met the host, but contact via messaging was speedy.

Comments: I felt very welcome and comfortable in this condo. The neighborhood is excellent -- very safe and close to many good beaches, restaurants and stores. It was well-equipped with all the kitchen utensils, beach towels, sunscreen, beach chairs, brochures about activities in the area. Although the condo is a small studio, it is well-appointed and feels spacious, especially with the sliding door open to the porch. I would highly recommend this condo.

Comments: Both of our hosts were very friendly and Erin made sure we had everything that we needed. The highlight of this studio was a nice warm shower and more kitchen gadgets than you could ever need. The location was good and their extensive directions were easy to follow in finding the place. The unit is up a large flight of steps and due to the arrangement and island style construction its not very sound private to other neighbors or the weed maintenance in the morning. Really appreciated the hosts.

Comments: Dan & Erin were amazing hosts! We saw them a few times while we were leaving or coming back from our adventures on the island and Erin always checked to make sure all our needs were being met. As a side note, as with everywhere in Kauai, there are roosters and they can be a tad bit loud in the morning but this is nothing against our hosts! The room is actually quite a bit larger than we were expecting and was well appointed. There are enough kitchen gadgets to make any food you'd like and there are really nice grills out by the pool (which is literally right out your door). The stairway wasn't any longer than any other apartment stairway but it is a tad narrow if you have really large luggage. You do get very nice trade winds coming through and at night we actually found we needed to close the windows as it would get a bit chilly. There were a few days that the trade winds were gone but it didn't make the room unbearable. You are about a 5 minute drive from a Foodmart and about a 15 minute drive from Hanalei! The neighborhood is high end and you are right next door to a gorgeous golf course! We would definitely stay again!

Comments: We had a great time in Kauai and Dan and Erin's place was a good place to recover after hiking the Na Pali coast. The pool and hot tub were wonderful for our aching feet. It was a good launching point to explore the rest of the island - we drove to as many parts of the island as possible and were glad we chose to stay in the area we did. It was close to the things and places that we enjoyed the most during our stay. The space was comfortable for us, even without the A/C - there was a good cross wind that kept us cool enough at night and we were usually out and about during the day anyway. The only trouble we had was the neighbors dog - they must have had a new puppy or something but it didn't sleep through one of the two nights we were there, so neither did we. It would have been totally manageable except we needed to leave the windows open to keep the cross-breeze, so we couldn't shut it out by closing them. Someone left a note on their door, so apparently we weren't the only ones disturbed and hopefully it will be figured out soon. Despite that issue, we still give it 4 stars. As many others said, there were plenty of kitchen items to use, and we put them to good use with the amazing fruit available from the fruit stands around, and we enjoyed sitting on the lanai one evening as the rain fell and in the mornings with our tea as the sun came up.

Comments: Great little studio in Princeville. Simply can't beat it for the price. The location is good, and there is a nice pool. No full kitchen (i.e. no stove) if you're into serious cooking (which I'm not), but it has a fridge and some kitchen gadgets which is plenty for me. This was my first time using airbnb and Erin made everything very easy. Would recommend!

Comments: We spent Two nights at Dan & Erin studios and it was ok. Is in princeville, next to Hanaley. It's quite big with a nice lanai , clean and well equipped. You can buy your own food and cook it if you want. There is just one missing amenity ... Hair drier but the rest is very good. They are very responsive and the let us check out a little bit later. In my opinion the north shore is the best part of the island, if you want to hike remember to be equipped and well trained, the trails are not for everybody. So Kauai is north shore and the studio is a right place to stay.

Comments: We were here for 8 days and had a great stay! This studio is definitely cuter in person than the pictures give away. Even though we were constantly driving across the island for certain activities, we were so happy we chose to stay in this area. It is absolutely beautiful and this location is a short drive away to some of the best views and beaches on the island! I imagine it might feel a little weird trying to do much cooking in the room, as it's not really an actual kitchen, but I was surprised at how many utensils were available if needed. There is a cute pool with bbq's if needed. If you're a light sleeper, I'd suggest bringing earplugs. You will definitely be hearing roosters at odd hours and the neighbor kids like to play outside in the mornings. If for some reason the power were to go out, there is an LED candle by the bed that's got some pretty major power, just an fyi. haha! Our hosts were pleasant, the price was great, and we would definitely stay here again!

Comparable condos in Princeville can be much more expensive, and we found that this condo served our purposes very well. 2) COOKING FRIENDLY: We like to cook, and that’s why this was even better than staying at a hotel. There are conveniently located supermarkets in Princeville and Hanalei that made it very feasible to cook our own meals. At the condo we used the community BBQ (there are two) and within the room we used their hotplate, full-sized fridge, and microwave. They have plates and cutlery, but don’t expect any common household basics like oil, paper towels, and seasonings. 3) BEACH ACCESSORIES: They also have a small cooler that we brought to the beach and three beach chairs. They have two sets of towels for both beach and bath. 4) OTHER AMENITIES: Even though there is no AC, there is one ceiling fan that kept us comfortably cool. We also made use of the community pool and the room’s lanai/porch, which has a couch, multiple chairs and a table. 5) NOISE LEVEL: It’s a family friendly area and close to the pool, which means it’s not uncommon to hear children and neighbors through the window. On the other hand, this area had very few roosters (which in Kauai, is a rare find). We stayed at other places on the island and had many roosters wake us up, but this was not the case here.

Comments: The perfect place when exploring the North Shore! Comfortable bed, great use of space and the perfect balcony to enjoy a few drinks in the evening. The photos don't do it justice. There isn't any air con but the fan did the job with the breeze from the balcony. I would recommend renting a car when staying on the island as there isn't much public transport and taxis are pricey. We loved it here!

Comments: Our stay here was very nice. Great location, Queens bath is blocks away and Hideaway Beach is just down the street (def check out both if your are in good shape!). We ate in several nights after some grocery shopping at the super close Foodland but also dined out a few times. Hideaways Pizza was AMAZING. Super fresh food and fantastic service at the bar top. We were up early and out exploring all day long so the hot tub was very nice to have in the evenings for our tired bodies. The only downsides to this unit are by no means the owners fault. Be forewarned Kauai has lots of chickens! This goes for anywhere you stay. Bring earplugs to sleep with if you don't want a 4am wake up call from the dumb rooster who thinks its sunrise. This was to be expected, however the neighbors here have LOTS of children. If you are not an early riser be prepared for squealing and screaming at 7 am sharp. We used it as our alarm clock and didn't mind so much but they are LOUD. Everything else is amazing, lovely balcony clean bathroom tons of cookware and utensils. Would absolutely stay here again, you can't beat this price at this location! I fell in love with the north shore of Kauai 100%!

Comments: Nice simple studio with kitchenette. Comfy bed, fridge, wifi, ceiling fan. Easy parking and central to north shore activities. Hosts were responsive to questions and provided all the details for the stay in advance. There were a few items missing I expected, like a kitchen sponge and (more than half roll of) toilet paper. No biggie.

Comments: This was a perfect place for our trip. The studio was spacious and very comfortable, the bed was large and had a great mattress. While we only made breakfast there, it had everything we needed if we wanted to do a lot more cooking (Glad we stopped at Costco right off the airport so we had very little food shopping to do while we were there). The balcony provided a lovely place to relax outside. My husband went to the pool and said it was great. The complex is very quiet. The parking is right off the unit. The location on the north shore is ideal, lots of trails to walk to, good beaches to relax and the St Regis Hotel right next door. Will rent there again if we go to Kauai. Thanks to the owner for making this place available and comfortable.

Comments: I loved the location of this condo. The pool and hot tub were great bonuses to my trip. The room was spacious, the lanai was relaxing, and everything was clean and ready for my arrival. The chickens can be heard in the morning, they're part of the experience of Kauai. No complaints at all! Perfect for a solo traveler like myself, I could see it being great for a couple too.

Comments: This is tropical living. I truly felt like I belonged on this island after my stay at Dan & Erin's! Although I never met with either of the two, communication was efficient enough and the directions to get to the property and inside the building were simple and easy to follow. The apartment itself was clean and had the basic amenities. No A/C which was no problem for me, as i had all the windows and doors open to get a nice breeze throughout the place. It's in a big neighborhood with lots of families throughout. Safe and clean and quiet. You need to drive a little bit to get anywhere like a restaurant or a hiking trail or the beach but that was well worth it; the sights on Kauai are unbeatable.

Comments: We had a slight mix up with the key to get into the apartment but once we called Erin, the neighbour came to let us in and after a few hours the apartment was cleaned. Princeville is a good area to stay and the apartment is good for a couple, although if you plan to cook, it would possibly be better to find somewhere with a proper kitchen as this is better suited to making hot drinks rather than food. There is only one sink in the property which we found a bit odd, as you need to was your hands in the same place as you prepare food, but otherwise it is fine.

Comments: The place was amazing, well furnished, large, a great temperature with just the fan, and very close to amazing views. Overall, we absolutely loved the place. As other reviewers have mentioned, be prepared for the chickens and other birds to wake you up early. They start crowing between 4-6AM and though it's possible to sleep through it, it's hard. I'd recommend earbuds! The apartment has an amazing porch with an okay view of the jungle, but a very comfortable and nice place to eat meals. Large bathroom, and living room. We had some issues with the hotplate (wouldn't work in a couple of outlets, so we had to cook on the floor), but other than that and the noise, it's a great place. Thanks for the great place!

Comments: Nice and clean space that looks like the photos. I'd been traveling for a while in Hawai'i and appreciated the fast wifi and Erin and Dan's clear directions about getting to their apartment and navigating the area. It's also a great location. For other travelers, I feel obliged to I note that it's a pretty lively community so between the chickens and the kids leaving for school, it's not a place that you can easily sleep late (though the bed is very comfortable). And while I appreciated having a fridge and many other small kitchen appliances provided, though found the lack of garbage cans (I realize it's to prevent pests, but having something I could put stuff in and then bring it to the dumpster would have been nice) and a drying rack a bit limiting in being able to use all the kitchen supplies.

Comments: Nice studio. Good location. Comfortable. Fairly well appointed with plenty of towels, including beach towels. The place was clean & spacious. Erin was easy and timely to work with. There is limited indoor lighting in the living area, so if you want to read it is a problem. Parking is a major issue. We never found a real parking spot but managed to find small corners to wedge our tiny rental car into except one night. I would love to see a small dining table with a couple of chairs rather than a single large easy chair and ottoman. The porch has a sofa, easy chair, & rattan chair upon which to lounge. This is where we had to do reading, as there is lighting there. The multi-use sink/food prep area was nice, although small for any real cooking. There is a full size refrigerator, microwave, rice cooker, toaster, electric skillet, hot plate, coffee maker, and toaster, plus a couple plates, cups, glasses, tableware, and cooking utensils. We had to use an extension cord hanging down from the outlet high on the wall because the lower one didn't work. But everything worked out OK. There are two large frying pans to use, so plan meals accordingly. One pan is a badly torn up teflon, which I would never use, so I opted for the badly burned stainless steel. It cooked fine, just looked bad. The downstairs children are a great 7:00 AM alarm

Comments: Dan & Erin's condo met our needs, staying on the North Shore of Kauai. The location threw us off a bit, as it is nestled in a very nice community surrounded by golf courses and beautifully manicured lawns. While beautiful and convenient to much of the North Shore attractions, it had the feel of a retirement community therefore recommend this space to an older crowd or avid golfers, not necessarily young to mid age travelers. Contrary to other reviews, the kids and chickens were not a problem, as we were up early and stayed during the week, while the kiddos were in school however parking was definitely a thorn in our side as mentioned by a few reviewers. Additionally, the neighbors were less than friendly, as we overheard a couple unwelcoming comments (seemingly unaware that the room was an airbnb?). The actual space was great. Clean with some dishes and basic appliances and the porch was a great space to enjoy the morning cup of coffee.

Comments: We truly enjoyed our stay at Dan and Erin's place. The apartment was exactly as described and everything was organized so well. We did not get a chance to meet the hosts but they arranged for us to get into the unit very conveniently. So everything was self sufficient. In our opinion the apartment was even better looking than the pictures here on Airbnb. We especially enjoyed the lanai and the small kitchen space. Even though it is not a real full kitchen we could always prepare our meals conveniently which saved a lot of money. Also the amenities like the hot tub or the swimming pool were great after a day of hiking. The location in Princeville is very convenient to explore the whole island with a rental car (in our eyes you definitely need one here on Kauai). Beautiful beaches such as Hideaways and Ke'e Beach are just a short drive away. Dan and Erin also provided beach chairs and enough towels which was very nice. Be aware that it can rain a lot on Kauai. However, we always found a way to enjoy our time anyway (for example on the nice lanai). All in all it was a perfect week in the private little apartment. We would definitely recommend it. Mahalo Dan and Erin.

Comments: Dan and Erin's place was a good homebase for driving to the various sites on the north shore. Princeville is very different from the impression I got from other parts of the island. The accommodation itself has everything you need and even more. Others complained about noise (children, roosters) we did not hear such noise at all, only some children during daytime. Comments: My wife and I spent one of two weeks of our honeymoon in Hawaii and wanted a place off the beaten path that was affordable and in a picturesque Kaua'i setting. Erin's second floor place had a cozy tropical cabin feel with a beautiful lanai (covered porch), and we opened the screen door to allow for a cross-breeze when the place got hot. The listing was exactly as described, including a full fridge, coffeemaker, utensils, towels, a huge shower area, Internet, and we had a great conversation with Erin about the region and Hawaiian lifestyle. We'll keep Erin in mind when we visit Kaua'i again to hike the NaPali Coast.

Comments: All in all, we thought it was a very good value. The room was accurately described, although it should be noted that it is a second-floor studio with access only by stairs. It was clean, reasonably spacious, and well located on the north shore, although not within walking distance of much, which is true of pretty much all of Kauai. It is relatively close (about a mile) from the only shopping center in the area. The hosts communicated well, and everything met our expectations. In particular, it was very fairly priced, which is important for someone on a budget. The lanai was very nice to sit out on. There is also access to a pool, which we did not use. The room includes a refrigerator and microwave, but there really isn't a kitchen (there are lots of kitchen utensils, including plates, glasses, cutlery, a coffee maker, etc., and a hot plate which we did not use). There also really isn't a table at which to eat. There are grills next to the pool which we believe can be used and would probably be better than trying to cook in the room. There is a single sink outside the bathroom. The bathroom itself was fine, with a good shower. The hosts supply four bath size towels (two for the bath, two for the beach), but they are getting old and could be replaced. They also supply two beach chairs, which were very much appreciated. There is no real closet, but there are hangers and hooks on which to hang things. There is adequate drawer space for things that don't need to hang. Our only real issue is that several slats were missing from the vertical blinds on the door to the lanai, reducing privacy. Also, there is limited parking -- if you expect to be out late at night, it may be a problem finding a space when you return. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

Comments: This is a nice little studio at the heart of Princeville. The location is all one could ask for. Hosts have provided most of the amenities including every little thing one might need for cooking meals but there is really not any space to make use of all that. There isn't a dedicated parking spot. We were a little disappointed with the cleanliness. There was dust all over, couple of unclean towels, utensils, dirty shower floor and curtains. The place missed few basic necessities like hand soap, kitchen towel, tissue paper. We were informed of missing toiletries when asked so we were prepared accordingly. Shower is low for tall people. There isn't any closet space in the entire studio.

Comments: The stay started on a bad note as we had a check in time of 3pm but were unable to get ahold of the hosts and couldn’t actually check in until 6:40pm which changed our plans for the evening/night. This was unprofessional and disappointing. When we did get the access code to check in we arrived to a lovely studio apartment with a nice balcony area. The studio was very small but had everything we needed. We ultimately enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others. I hope the communication issue is taken as constructive criticism and they fix that bit.

Comments: Dan & Erin's place was perfect. The price was fantastic for what you get and everything was clean. Loved chilling out on the furnished lanai after a long day of exploring. Princeville is a nice area as well. Very close to the fantastic little town of Hanalei. I would definitely stay here again. Mahalo Dan & Erin.

Comments: Great place! The studio itself is perfect! The only draw back is the complex has a lot of people and they were loud at times. We also had no luck getting into the hot tub because it was being heavily used or closed for cleaning. But overall we had a super positive experience and would definitely come back!

Comments: We appreciated having access to the space for the duration of our stay. It was adequate for our needs and was mostly "as advertised". There were, however, a few things that would have made our stay more comfortable (ie, sufficient enough toilet paper, clean towels [towels smelled of being wet in a washing machine for too long], more hooks or racks to hang things on, sharpened knives, a dish sponge/brush, dish soap, shower soap, a deck of cards etc.). The hosts were responsive when we asked about the toilet paper and clean towels; the neighbor brought us one more roll (three rolls for a nine day trip for two women) and washed/dried the towels for us. Overall, the space was sufficient for our needs and accurately advertised, but certainly didn't provide any extras to make it more comfortable/homey.

Comments: Erin's place is a great self-contained studio in a residential area (the pictures don't do it justice)! It is an ideal spot for exploring Hanalei, the Napali coast and the occasional trip to Lihue. We loved having breakfast on the covered balcony each morning!

Comments: Dan and Erin's was an A+! Huge bang for your buck in terms of what you're getting for going rental rates on the island on AirBnB! If there is any downside at all it's that the location is a bit of a drive from the airport on the South Shore end, otherwise everything was exceptional. Pool/hot tub area on site is far nicer than even the pics posted in the listing give it credit for! Relaxing spot to wind down each night before heading off to sleep. The shower area is spacious! Very big advantage when washing all the sand off from our beach adventures each day! Hot water availability was never an issue. Porch area is a nice amenity, unfortunately it's not screened in so mosquitoes were plentiful out there at night given the time of year we visited (early April) as things were rather damp outside all trip. All necessary amenities were exactly as listed (if not better). Beach chairs and beach cooler were an added bonus that we got full use out of every day. Place is fairly easy to find and parking was never an issue. Cannot beat the price for those looking to get a taste of the North Shore life, as it was only a 5-10 minute drive up to Hanalei Bay and all of its little store fronts/restaurants. Very outdoorsy, more scenic part of the island compared to the other parts and we explored it all! We would stay here again and certainly recommend to others looking for a nice place to simply lay your head at night at an affordable rate!

Comments: Great location, can walk all around Princeville down to Hideaways beach, Queen's Baths and the St. Regis for a sneaky sunset cocktail. Basic in terms of amenities but otherwise everything needed for a convenient Kauai pad! Dan & Erin were great communicators and hosts.

Comments: Excellent place, great location, can not possibly beat the value. Not ideal if you have a car because parking can be unavailable unexpectedly. But if you don’t, this place is absolutely perfect and a gem.

Comments: Nice neighborhood (neighbors were a bit loud at times but not constantly) , pool/BBQ area was a nice plus too. The studio itself was falling apart in places/dated. Coffee maker didn't work, screen door and a few other things didn't work properly. It was clean and they did have a blender, toaster, fridge, pot and pan which made it helpful for eating in. Nice outdoor deck where you can eat and watch the rain. :)

Comments: Dan and Erin are were quality hosts. They're both relaxed and offered good advice when we talked with them about local spots, issues, and everything in between. Their kids were adorable and brightened our day every time we saw them! My wife and I found walking and public transit to be an awesome way around the Princeville and Hanalei areas (we enjoyed slowing down; Princeville shopping centre, Queen's Bath, Hideaway Beach, and a bus stop were all within a half our walk of their place - albeit in different directions). Be prepared to wait for the buses. Any other adventure you are looking to have will likely need a rental car.

Comments: ***STAY HERE*** You won't find a better value for such a beautiful place in Kauai. This was my third visit, second time staying in Princeville. This studio is in a gorgeous area! We loved that there was a full sized fridge so we had plenty of space for all of our food/drinks/frozen items. (We made a trip to Costco right after the airport). We used the coffee maker everyday. There were sugar cubes there for our use as well. There is a hot plate which we used several times, another plug in skillet type pan as well which we used multiple times. There was a blender, toaster, I think a rice cooker as well. We cooked at home everyday, it was awesome and definitely a money saver. There is a pool/hot tub/bbq area just steps away from the studio. You MUST bbq! The bbq's are really nice and the pool was awesome. I reget not spending more time in the pool. Hideaway beach is my favorite place on Earth and it's just minutes away from here. The lanai (patio/deck) is amazing, it was a major added bonus. We really enjoyed spending time out there everyday and it's an awesome place to eat breakfast. There wasn't AC which surprisingly was not an issue for us at night. You can keep the sliding door open (with the screen door shut) and there are shutters beside the bed as well as a ceiling fan. We had no issues sleeping! I struggle with sleep normally but I can honestly say I had some of the best sleep in my life here. A couple of tips - bring your own bar soap/soap for washing hands because there was only a small dish soap. I read previous reviews very carefully so that I could be fully prepared for our stay and someone else had said there wasn't soap. I packed dish soap, hand soap, roll of paper towel, some ziplock bags, and a dish sponge (I didn't see any dish sponge for doing dishes in the studio so I'm glad I brought one) You can easily buy stuff when you are there too, but nothing beats hitting the dollar store and just packing a few things. If you enjoy cooking as much as we do AND if you are checking in some luggage at the airport, I highly recommend packing a couple of your go-to chopping/pearing knives. The ones in the BNB are very dull, but we made it work! I could go on and on about how awesome this place is. I've stayed in Princeville down the street at another studio and it didn't have nearly as much to offer as this place did. I can't wait to come back to Kauai and I would 100% recommend staying here. Mahalo!

Comments: The apartment is clean, spacious, and in a great location close by to Hanalei. We loved that there is a BBQ, pool, and hot tub available. It is a bummer that the apartment complex requires guests to leave the pool area at 8:45pm because we would have liked to use it later. Overall we’d recommend Dan and Erin’s at Sandpiper Village.

Comments: Wow! Great place to stay in the northern shore of Kauai! The appartment is big en the patio was great for breakfast. The swimmingpool was a surprise, it was better than the online pictures. We left 4 beers (2 glass + 2 cans) in the fridge for the next guests. We’ll stay again in sandpiper village if we go to kauai! We had lots of fun! CC

Comments: Lovely studio with balcony in the quiet and green heart of Princeville. Near to Hanalei Bay and Na Pali Coast. Comments: Dan and Erin's was just as listed, a simple studio with basic amenities for a great price. There is no AC but the fan was usually okay- not sure how uncomfortable it would get in summer though, especially if you get hot easily. Otherwise they were very communicative and helpful, and gave lots of recommendations for the island.

Comments: The location was great. The lanai was relaxing. The pool/BBQ area is great and even had wifi. Check in was very easy and for the most part the place was very comfortable. We did not sleep well on that bed and the pillows were very thin. We had to buy a wine opener and toilet paper so hopefully the next people get to use it.

Comments: Good value for money. We didn't use any of the amenities at the location. Check-in was easy. Hosts were responsive when contacted. The oft-cited parking issue was not a problem for us since we were out early and back by 8pm during our stay. No air conditioning but the ceiling fan was sufficient for our January stay. Overall good value for the money.
