  Comments: Melanie is a really nice person. She helped us with everything we needed even if she wasn't in the city. The apartment is big and really nice, location is super. only 2 cons, sofas are good looking but really uncomfortable and some old and stinky food left in the fridge probably from previous hosts. I definitely come back to Melanie's apt next time I will be in NYC!!

  Comments: We had a wonderful stay, the apartment has everything you need & was very comfortable, for 2 girls travelling it was wonderful to have 2 bedrooms. The apartment was clean and neat and easy to find & access and very safe/secure. Melanie was always quick to respond if we had a question and very kind and obliging. The highlight for us was the location. The East Village is a crazy mix of people night and day, tons if personality and character. There are so many restaurants & bars to choose from. Additionally we were able to walk to many parts if NYC easily and the subway was also nearby & easy to access.

  Comments: My friend and I felt at home at this apartment. The apartment is beautiful, very well-equipped, clean, and in an excellent location. It is accurately represented in the pictures. I did not meet Melanie in person but we were in contact via sms. She was responsive and gave us all the practical information we needed for our stay. A good and reliable host. I needed to stay a few extra hours after the official checkout and, even if I could not stay until the time I wished, she tried to accommodate my request. The East Village area where the apartment is located is full of small restaurants, bars, cafes, shops etc. It is great for anyone who likes going out. On the downside, it can be a little noisy so perhaps not ideal for someone who prefers a quiet area.

  Comments: The apartment was very well located near to lots of restaurants and bars as well as a short walk to great shops. The space was clean and comfortable with everything you needed for a good stay in New York. Melanie was responsive to queries and was very accommodating allowing us to leave our bags at the apartment until our evening flight.

  Comments: Awesome place! Pros: - Great place. Spacious and clean. - Amazing location, there is ton of stuff all around the building. Was super fun to explore the area. If you like walking, you can walk to many places from there – Greenwich Village, SOHO, Chinatown, Little Italy, Union Square, etc. Subways stations are close. - Melanie was an attentive and accommodating host. Even though she was overseas would check in to make sure things were going well. Cons - Can be noisy at night, particularly on the weekend. People in NY like to honk and yell it seems. - The apartment is well maintained but It’s an older building. The floors are squeaky in some places so could hear the people above walking around sometimes and we tried not to stomp around too much especially at night. - The chairs in the living room are a bit uncomfortable. - For people mostly interested in things around the more touristy areas like Times Square the location is probably not so convenient. Loved the place and the location and would stay there again.

  Comments: Melanie's and Marco's apartment in the East Village is perfect for people who want to stay in a more organic and less gentrified area of NYC but still be close to all the tourist and non-tourist attractions that Manhattan has to offer. The accommodation is on one of the main avenues and located on the fourth (third for UK folk) floor of an attractive older block served with a lift, giving it a genuine NYC apartment feel; it is clean, airy, well lit and beautifully furnished with relatively spacious rooms, making it a great place to hang out between venturing outside. Just as the hosts describe, the apartment can at most accommodate two willing to share a double bed with additional 'one and a half' bedding in a separate room. The area is abundant in many non-chain restaurants and bars for travellers that do not want to venture too far from their accommodation in the evenings; Katz's Deli is definitely one to add to the list! As other reviewers have pointed out, the area can be a bit noisy especially on the weekend evenings, but if you were hoping for a quiet and relaxed vacation, why choose beautifully manic NYC at all? Melanie was not around but kept in touch by email/airbnb and assisted as best she could at all times, leaving the numbers of her housekeepers who greeted us when we arrived and who we could contact should we have needed anything which we didn't.

  Comments: Three of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Melanie's place. It was clean, well provisioned and larger than the photos suggest. I slept comfortably on the bed set up with full linens in the office space. Melanie was more than gracious in her communications and was really really prompt when responding to questions. East Village is a great location with plenty of culture. Our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood was Il Buco, an Italian place that we dined in on our first and last nights stay. All in all a very positive experience that I would love to repeat. Thank you Melanie!

  Comments: My husband and I had an amazing stay at Melanie's apartment. It is super spacious, in a great old NY building that is in a wonderful location. The apartment had everything we needed to feel like home - including an incredibly comfortable bed and plenty of closet and drawer space! Close to the subway, Wholefoods and surrounded by loads of great cafes, bars and restaurants. Melanie was a fabulous host. Quick to respond, easy to communicate with, very friendly and welcoming! Highly recommended!

Natalia greeted us with the keys as planned and was very friendly. We would highly recommend staying here. The only negative of the location is that it is quite noisy but you expect some noise in NYC!

  Comments: Mélanie repond très vite aux mails et nous aide à préparer notre voyage et elle parle français! L'appartement est très confortable et bien situé. Proche du métro avec des commerces à proximité. Quartier branché, ne convient pas à une famille avec des enfants en bas âge. Nous vous recommandons cet appartement !!!
