  Comments: The apartment has a good central location near the hospital. It provides a very convenient outdoor private parking place on the building's backyard. This flat is equipped with virtually everything you'll ever need, including a mixer! So everything else, like toaster or boiler, one might ned in the kitchen is there. In fact, the place is better equipped than my own house! Good kitchen appliances, electric heating, good TV, cable and internet and so on. Fresh towels, fresh bed sheets, fruits, some food and even Port wine... And all this within a space so nicely decorated. The places just looks and feels good. What's not to like however, and this is why I award them only 3 stars, is the noise and the bed mattress. These two are of such an importance to me that, and even do the renting price is very competitive, I have to drop a star for each one of them. The road in front is just very very noisy. With cars running all night long on a cobbled road. The windows should really be improved to provide better sound insulation. If one is prone to trouble falling asleep on noise environments, he is definitely going to find it hard to fall a sleep in this flat. As for the mattress, it just is a cheap foam mattress, you're bound to sink on it. I wish there was a spring mattress there, made me miss my own bed at home.

  Comments: The apartment was fully furnished - groceries and all. The parking was perfect and safe inside the back yard. The furnishings were top of the line, and functioning perfect. Carlos greeted us in person, even though we revived a little late. He brought a jar of fig jam to welcome us to Porto. He gave us lots of tips and directions. The apartment is not within but within walking distance of the very center of Porto and the waterfront. We could hear some noise from the street overnight but manageable. We would recommend Carlos's apartment and Carlos as a host anytime.

  Comments: Carlos received in person at the agreed time and gave us all the information needed about the apartment and some more about the city of Porto. The apartment is excellent, clean, very well located, complete and well equipped. Some people have commented here any problem with noise near the building, but I must mention that to us it was not a problem, instead, we had moments of tranquility at night. The apartment is well heated, and still enjoy the courtesy of a few doses of port offered by the host. Enthusiastically recommend to friends and people who want to know the port stay in this excellent apartment. Thank you Carlos.

  Comments: Carlos´ house is perfect. It´s very well located in Oporto and you really have everything you need in it. I really can´t think of anything missing. We´ve even had some oporto wine on our reception! It´s spacious and full of light, noise isolated and really close to every attraction in oporto and little great places to eat. Carlos is very kind, he helps great information about oporto, and provides plenty of guides and books about the city. In summary, would absolutely go back there when back in oporto.

  Comments: Nous étions reçus par Carlos dans une ambiance chaleureuse, avec des muffins savoureux préparés par sa femme et une bonne bouteille de porto ... nous avons passé une semaine dans son bel appartement, situé dans une position stratégique pour visiter la ville et découvrir des coins inoubliables. Dans l'appartement, tout était propre et parfaitement confortable. En outre, Carlos a suggéré de très bons restaurants et des voyages interessants à vivre près de Porto. C'est donc le point de départ idéal pour connaître vraiment une partie du Portugal.

  Comments: Nuestra estancia en el apartamento del Sr. Carlos Sobral ha sido extraordinaria. El recibimiento fue maravilloso. Teníamos fruta fresca a nuestra disposición e incluso unas riquísimas magdalenas caseras hechas por la esposa del Sr. Sobral. Su atención y amabilidad han sido insuperables. En cuanto al apartamento se puede resumir en tres palabras: "No falta nada". Es realmente increíble. Es que, de verdad, no falta nada, pero nada de nada. Lo tiene todo. Tiene televisión por cable, wifi, cadena musical. La cocina esta absolutamente equipada: sartenes, cazos, aceite, microondas, lavavajillas, lavadora, calentador de agua (kettle), horno normal, tostadora, cafetera para hacer café italiano y cafetera para hacer café americano. Por supuesto, mantel, servilletas, platos, vasos, cubiertos, cubre manteles.., Si por tener hasta tenía vino, café, té e incluso media docena de huevos en la nevera. Mayonesa, kétchup... Es que es increíble!!! El baño impecable de limpio. La habitación, sencilla pero correcta y limpia. Y tiene garaje privado, en un patio interior. En resumen, es un apartamento de 10 sobre 10. Lo tiene todo. Está amueblado con muebles de IKEA, moderno y práctico. Sencillo pero muy acogedor. Aún encima está situado extraordinariamente bien. A 3 minutos andando de la rúa do Carmo, a 4 minutos de la Torre de los Clérigos y de la librería (de Harry Potter) Lello e irmao. a 6 de la plaza da Liberdade. Es un auténtico lujazo. En cuanto pueda volveré y se lo recomendaré a todos mis amigos, sin dudarlo!!! Sr. Carlos Sobral, muchas gracias por todo. Muito, muito obrigado!

  Comments: No tuvimos la suerte de conocer a Carlos, pero en su lugar nos recibió un familiar suyo llamado Hugo, y hemos de decir que el trato fue magnífico y muy cercano pese a que el pobre nos tuviera que esperar durante dos horas! Somos una pareja con un bebé de 2 meses y hemos estado de lujo. Para empezar el apartamento tiene parking privado (gratuito). La casa está al detalle: decoración IKEA, WI-FI, cama de matrimonio muy cómoda y hasta cuna de viaje para el que la necesite. Además, está muy pero que muy bien localizado, en pleno centro y con restaurantes y monumentos a escasos minutos a pie. En definitiva, da gusto que te reciban con tanta cordialidad y en un lugar tan agradable. La ciudad de Oporto es una maravilla y la casa de Carlos es un sitio ideal desde el que descubrirla. Sin duda, volveremos!

Destacamos la amabilidad y disposición de los dueños para ayudarnos en todo lo necesario; el contenido de la casa, pues no falta de nada; la ubicación: caminando llegas bien a todas partes y tienes todo lo necesario en los alrededores, frutería, minimercado, carnicería, restaurantes, parada de taxis y bus, además de tener aparcamiento privado sin coste adicional.   Comments: Notre séjour en couple du 29 septembre au 3 octobre 2013 À notre arrivée nous avons été accueillis sympathiquement par Carlos qui a pris en compte nos souhaits pour nous conseiller, en français, pour les visites, déplacements et restaurants. La documentation, le plan et de beaux livres sur Porto sont à notre disposition. Nous le remercions pour les délicates attentions gourmandes !!! Face à un parc, l'appartement est très agréable, bien équipé, super clean, ambiance douce et harmonieuse. On vit à son propre rythme. Bien situé, il est proche du centre historique. Porto se visite facilement à pied, il faut quand même marcher !!! En bas de l'appartement, taxis et nombreuses lignes de bus qui permettent de sortir du centre et aller à la Casa Musica pour écouter de la musique ou visiter le musée contemporain et son parc. Une adresse à retenir et en faire profiter ses amis !!!

Cruzas el parque y ya estás en el centro, a 5 minutos de la preciosa torre de los Clérigos.Los detalles de bienvenida son de agradecer.Todos los comentarios que he leído se ajustaban a la realidad.   Comments: This is an exceptionally comfortable and superbly equipped apartment with absolutely everything you could possibly need. It's really nicely designed, with plenty of space and lots of natural light. Everything is brand new and Carlos has provided modern equipment, including a washing machine, dishwasher, TV and hifi! The location is also superb. Perfectly placed for exploring Porto on foot. We never needed to use the bus. There's a garage for your car, and if you are travelling without a car there are key bus routes right outside the flat as well as the open-top tour bus. Good local shops for food, and brilliantly placed for key sights and bars and restaurants. The park and duck ponds outside are a pleasant bonus and makes the apartment feel calm and relaxing. Carlos is friendly, easy-going and helpful. A pleasure to meet. He was there to show us all the main features of the apartment and then left us to enjoy our stay. This is the best airbnb expereince we have had, and I highly recommend Carlos and his apartment if you are thinking of visiting this beautiful city.

The apartment was really nice and clean and stocked with everything we could have needed, as well as having super wifi! Carlos was a great host and left us plenty of information and was also kind enough to meet us early in the morning to open the flat for us and give us a tour.   Comments: Je vais pas redire ce qui a déjà été dit par les autres.Tout est vrai. Tout est parfait ici, l'appartement est exactement comme dans le photos. Aussi joli. Je vais plutôt finir de vous convaincre de aller chez Carlos; Suivez les indications de Carlos, prenez le bus 601 à l’aéroport, si vous arrivez par avion; le bus vous laisse devant la porte. Il est d'une amabilité extrême et répondra à toute vos questions. Appartement très bien situe; la torre dos clérigos, la librairie Lello et d'autres très beaux magasins sont à trois pas. Le quartier bars, restos boites de nuit, c'est le même (autour de dos Clerigos). Il faut savoir qu'à Porto ça grimpe tout de suite; Nous sommes de bons marcheurs, sans plus, mais nous sommes rentrés à pied du pont san Luis I et allées à pied vers le parc de Palacio de Cristal ( très belle vue sur le Douro à cet endroit, je vous la conseille) et casa de la Musica. Très central. Les bus touristiques passent juste devant, vous pouvez les prendre d'ici. Surtout allez à Matosihnos (metro ligne A) si vous aimez les poissons grillés. Au niveau des commerces: qui sont vraiment pas chers. Un marchand des fruits et légumes juste au pied de l'immeuble. Vous trouverez un dépôt de pain ici. Très bonne qualité. Un peu plus difficile de trouver un mini market (seul un DIA pas loin) ou boulangerie. A Porto ce sont plutôt des petits commerces. Pensez à faire le plein quand vous trouverez un. Bon séjour au pays de l'amabilité!

  Comments: Really nice apartment in a great location at the city centre and a fantastic host. Really flexible with check out time and helpful at all. The apartment is close to a supermarket and everything is in walking distance. I stayed there during a few really cold winter days but the apartment was warm and cosy. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for cooking and even has a washing machine and dishwasher. I definitely would stay here again and can recommend it to everybody!

  Comments: It was fantastic to spend my time in Porto in Carlos' flat. It was really clean and perfect to be in. Close to everything just a small walk distance. It was perfect and I could imagine myself living there :). Carlos was a really good host. He received me with a big smile and it was really nice showing the flat around. Flexible check in and out hours, which is a big plus. Furthermore, outside were a lot of taxis in case of need. This flat made my Porto experience to be amazing.

  Comments: Carlos his son, Miguel waited for us when we arived, he explained everything about the appartment and about Porto. We liked the appartment very much! Every thing we needed was there! Its close to the citycentre, the old town is within walking distance. When we left we could just close the door and leave the keys in the mailbox, perfect!

  Comments: We had a great time in Porto, the apartment is located 5 mins from the centre of town and it was really easy to get around on foot. We had a hire car and the off street parking provided a safe location to store the car. Carlos' son greeted us and provided us with a local map, highlighting sights and recommending places to eat. We'd definitely stay here again!

The apartment was furnished with every little thing we needed, there was a lot of information about the neighborhood too, where to go, where not to go, perfect!   Comments: Carlos nous a merveilleusement accueilli malgré le gros retard d notre avion. Il a pris le temps de nous donner toutes les informations nécessaires sur l'appartement et la ville dé Porto. Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour. L'appartement est très spacieux et fonctionnel pour 2 personnes. Il n'y manque rien. Bien situé nous avons pu explorer facilement cette belle ville.

  Comments: We were met by Carlos' son Miguel for the check-in. Miguel was very flexible with regards to our check-in time, and showed us to a parking spot within the courtyard of the building, which was unexpected but welcome. Miguel was extremely kind and attentive and really took the time to explain to us where to find the best spots in town - known and less well-known - for exploring as well as dining. The apartment was clean, spacious, light and quiet at night. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom very well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed. We explored Porto on foot from the apartment and didn't need to use any public transportation. The only potential downside to the apartment are the construction works that are ongoing next door, which started at 8AM during our stay. For us this was not a problem, because we intended to get up early anyway, but if you intend to sleep in then I recommend bringing ear plugs. Overall I really recommend staying in Carlos' apartment.

  Comments: Le logement de Carlos et sa femme Lourdes est fidèle à la description et aux photos. Mon conjoint et moi-même y avons passé un superbe séjour. L'appartement est propre, grand, et idéalement situé (à deux pas du fameux Clerigos). Ceux qui apprécient la marche pourront tout faire à pieds : découverte de la ville, de ses musées, du centre national de photographie (un must), visite des "caves" de Porto, balades le long de la ribiera, excursion sur le Douro... C'est une ville magnifique où il y a beaucoup à voir et à faire, vous ne serez pas déçus ! Le petit plus : Carlos et Lourdes ont même pris soin de laisser sur la table du salon une note en français pour nous donner quelques renseignements pratiques, nous dire de ne pas hésiter à nous servir dans le frigo, et nous souhaiter un bon séjour. Ils avaient également mis à notre disposition des guides de la ville, des captures d'écran (Hidden by Airbnb) Maps des meilleurs restaurants dans le coin, etc.

  Comments: Séjour à Porto très agréable, Miguel le fils de Carlos, nous a accueilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de très bons conseils et bonnes adresses. Il a pris le temps de nous fournir un plan de la ville et nous a laissé des guides touristiques à disposition. L'appartement est idéalement situé, très confortable et conforme aux photos. La place de parking est un petit + très appréciable dans une ville comme Porto! Nous reviendrons chez Carlos avec plaisir!

  Comments: Miguel, Carlos' son, met us at the apartment, provided us with a map of Porto, explained the lay of the land, and gave us great tips for restaurants. The apartment is as pictured, spacious, clean, modern, and very comfortable. It was especially nice to have good counter space in the bathroom. The location is very convenient for access to the Old Town section of the city--the place to be in our opinion--an easy walk away. The neighborhood is very busy so having a parking spot was essential and appreciated. One thing to be aware of is that construction is going on next door so Mon-Sat morning, don't expect to sleep late.

Arrumado com capricho, muito limpo e organizado, o apartamento tem tudo necessário para deixar os hóspedes sentindo-se em casa.   Comments: El anfitrión fue fabuloso con nosotros, a la llegada nos recibió con vino de oporto y un pastel que había hecho su mujer como regalo a nuestro aniversario. La descripción de la casa era aún mejor que lo que se reflejaba en la página. La casa estaba muy equipada, a menos de 10 minutos del centro de la ciudad, con tiendas y restaurantes cercanos y el barrio muy seguro para poder pasear de noche tranquilamente.

  Comments: This appartment was our favorite during our trip to Portugal. It was super well located, we could walk to the historic Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia was walking distance, it was super confortable and luxurious compare to other places we have stayed and we had a parking spot! It had all the commodities that we needed to ensure that our trip was great and the host, Carlos, was an amazing, convivial and warm host who gave us all the information that we needed to spend a great time in Porto, and in the Douro. We definitely recommend that aparmamento, and if we go back to Porto, we will definitely check with Carlos if it is available.

  Comments: Appartement tres propre et confirme aux photos et descriptifs . Et également à proximité du centre de Porto et des différents sites touristiques a visiter . Attention Par contre bruit incessant des voitures , ( même la nuit ) . De plus immeuble cousin de l' appartement est en teavaux , donc des huit heures du matin " marteau piqueur ... ) .   Comments: Para describirlo en breve una estancia PERFECTA. Un apartamento con todas las necesidades, bonito, muy limpio y sólo a 5 minutos del pleno centro. Carlos y su hijo Miguel, increíbles, nada más llegar consejos sobre que visitar y donde comer, una botella de vino de porto y un bizcocho exquisito de chocolate, que más se puede pedir. Por desgracia tuvimos un pequeño percance con la puerta del garaje, otro de los aspectos que consideramos muy importante, y Carlos, personalmente se ocupó de solucionarlo, insistiendo en que no nos preocupásemos, que disfrutáramos de la ciudad, que no era problema. Lo recomendamos plenamente y si volvemos no tendremos dudas de donde alojarnos. Muchísimas gracias por tu ayuda y amabilidad.

  Comments: We had an amazing stay at Carlos' apartment in Porto. Carlos was super flexible with checkin and was waiting outside the apartment on amour arrival. The apartment was easy enough to find via (Hidden by Airbnb) maps. One of the best things about the apartment has to be the off street parking, as parking in Porto can be a nightmare! The parking spaces were secure out the back of the building accessible by remote control. Carlos was an absolutely amazing host providing some excellent food recommendations which made our stay in Porto all the better. He obviously has a passion for food as well! The apartment itself is a walk up with lots of space, modern and completely furnished with everything you could need for your stay (washer, hairdryer, iron, lots of towels, full kitchen etc). The space is big and the apartment has a really nice feel to it with wooden floors. On first entering the apartment it did smell a little damp, however we soon realised the whole city of Porto can be like that (hence the need for tiles). But after keeping the windows open for a while on a hot sunny day it was fine. During the time of our stay (early June) there was also some construction nearby which commenced daily at 9am, but luckily we were always up before then, so it didn't impact us. The location of the apartment is great and wishing walking distance of most of the major sights, although not in the centre of town so still nice and not overly touristy. Overall we loved our stay in the apartment would definitely stay again if we get the chance to go back to Porto!

  Comments: Absolutely great place to stay in Porto! Our family stayed in Carlos's place for 3 nights and we loved it. Very good location - surrounded by good cafes, 5 minutes walk from Porto University, Clérigos Tower, and famous Livraria Lello bookshop. Porto's "hop on hop off" blue bus stop is just around the corner (in front of National Museum Soares dos Reis). The apartment and entire building is newly remodeled, very clean and comfortable. Windows overlook a small park with large platanus trees and a small pond. P.S. Checkout Crystal Palace Park nearby - it is bigger than it appears on tourist maps (it continues west) and provides nice evening stroll after you spend a day exploring old part of the city.

  Comments: My parents and I stayed at Carlos' apartment for three nights. Everything about our stay was perfect. Although we did not have the pleasure of meeting Carlos, we were able to meet his lovely wife. She was so helpful in getting us settled and making sure we had everything we needed. The apartment was just what we needed for our stay in Porto. It was clean, safe, and had everything you might need. The location is perfect, you can walk just about everywhere from it. If you prefer to take transit, it is easy to located transit from the apartment. Overall, we had a great stay and I don't think you will be able to find a better place to stay in Porto! Estuvimos cuatro personas (dos de ellas niñas), y no tuvimos ningún problema de espacio. Está realmente cerca del centro histórico, lo que sin duda es una gran ventaja para optimizar el tiempo.   Comments: Best stay, best host ever! Carlos' flat is very spacious, clean, cozy, safe and fully equipped, located in a tranquil neighborhood. A private parking lot is another merit! He offered us some good advice for traveling Porto and even generously gave us a Porto wine and chocolates to enjoy. You can reach almost every main attraction of Porto on foot from the flat. There is a taxi stand right across the street as well. I think you will not be able to find better place to stay. I will definitely choose this flat when I visit Porto again and highly recommend you doing so. :D

  Comments: L'appartement est bien situé en bordure Nord-Ouest du centre historique : on peut faire toutes les visites à pied. Il est grand, propre, agréable, bien équipé avec les produits de première nécessité. au pied de l'immeuble, un marchands de fruits et un boucher (fermés le samedi après-midi et le dimanche) mais un peu plus loin un mini-market est ouvert même le dimanche matin. On entend un peu le bruit de la circulation et parfois les chauffeurs de taxi qui discutent tôt le matin mais ça ne nous a pas vraiment gênés car il y a double vitrage , nous avons bien dormi car le lit est confortable. Carlos, qui parle Français, nous a bien accueillis et nous a donné un plan et diverses informations utiles. Le bus 601 de l'aéroport s'arrête près des urgences de l'hôpital à 150 m de l'appartement. Pour le retour, on peut prendre le 602 dont l'arrêt est juste à la porte. Pour ceux qui aiment les visites guidées, nous conseillons celles de Jorge Dias ( (Website hidden by Airbnb)

  Comments: Hello, Carlos est un Hôte vraiment génial. Problème de ventilo qui à été résolu très rapidement, donc très bonne réactivité. L'appartement est dans le centre de porto donc vous pouvez tout faire à pied, et les transports sont vraiment très proches. L'appartement est légèrement bruillant quand on ne ferme pas les doubles vitrages, mais ce n'est pas gênant, et c'est tout a fait normal pour un emplacement dans le centre-ville. Sinon, appartement très très propre, avec toute les commodités et tes sécurisé. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermées. Merci Carlos ! Bon séjour

It faces a park and a taxi-parking space so it's quite loud at night, but that is the only issue we had and it was resolved by getting earplugs.   Comments: I was met by Carlos's daughter in law who was very friendly and she kindly showed me around the apartment and went through the map of Porto with places to visit & local restaurants , bars and hidden gems. She gave me some good local tips and Carlos kindly left a nice bottle of port which was a lovely gesture. The apartment was lovely, new, modern and well equipped with everything I needed. Porto is very compact with good transport links and very walkable. I throughly enjoyed my stay in Carlos's apartment and would visit Porto again.

  Comments: We hebben een fantastische driedaagse in Porto achter de rug. Voor het grootse deel te danken aan het prachtige verblijf. Het begon al bij de boeking. We kregen onmiddellijk reactie van Carlos en die snelle respons op al onze vragen bleef tot de laatste minuut van ons verblijf. We werden op he afgesproken uur warm ontvangen door Miguel ( de zoon) die ons een duidelijke uitleg gaf over alles in het appartement en ook vele nuttige tips over de bezienswaardigheden, restaurants en winkels in Porto. Het appartement is voorzien van alles wat nodig is en voldoet volledig aan de beschrijving. Het is op wandelafstand van het centrum en openbaar vervoer is letterlijk voor de deur. We waren met de wagen en de afgesloten privé-parking was niet alleen veilig maar een absolute meerwaarde in een omgeving waar parkeerplaats zeer schaars is. We zouden dit appartement aan iedereen aanraden die op zoek is naar de ideale uitvalsbasis om de prachtige stad Porto te verkennen!   Comments: The apartment is nice, 5 minutes by car from the highway and 10 minutes walking from main city attractions (Lello bookshop is at 5 minutes). The car park is inside the courtyard. Basically is the perfect location in order to visit both the city and its surroundings. The space inside the apartment is enough for 4 people but not very large. The kitchen is nice and we cooked for 2 dinners. The host was really nice: he gave us an overview about the most amazing places in the city as well as the best restaurants frequented mainly by locals. We recommend this apartment an our host Miguel.

  Comments: Já há algum tempo viajo alugando apartamentos pelo Airbnb, mas o que o Carlos e sua família oferecem aos hóspedes merece destaque. O apartamento é ainda melhor do que aparece nas fotos e tem tudo de que se precisa para uma estada confortável - importante ressaltar que todos os equipamentos funcionam perfeitamente. Tanto a chegada quanto o check-out foram muito tranquilos, e o anfitrião nos deixou um pequeno relatório de tudo que precisávamos inicialmente saber (como localização de mercados e a senha do ótimo wi-fi). A localização é um capítulo à parte: em frente a uma aprazível praça, a dois passos da rua da Cedofeita, das igrejas do Carmo e das Carmelitas e da Torre dos Clérigos; cinco minutos andando até a beira do Douro. Fácil acesso (até a pé) à estação São Bento e à estação de Campanhã (uns dez minutos de ônibus). Valeu a pena escolher este apartamento!

Restaurants and mini markets are just steps from the apartment. The private and secure parking is great if you travel by car. Carlos and Maria were always very responsive before and during our stay.   Comments: Really reactive contact. We asked for baby bed, it was provided fully equipped with linen. We also got a baby chair which was really help full. Easy explanation on how to get there.   Comments: With easy parking in a secure courtyard below, we found the apartment very convenient. There is a dishwasher and washing machine for clothes and drying rack provided. It is a short walk to some of the tourist areas, shops and restaurants, and 20-30 minutes walk to the river and the nearby shopping and tourist areas. We loved that it is very close to the art district. There is a nice view from the windows ( one floor up) of a small park with a small lake and mature trees. We were welcomed with a bottle of port and some cheese for our visit! We recommend!

  Comments: Great, spacious 1 bedroom apartment. Was clean and great location about 10 mins walk to the river front. Cafe next door had good pastries and coffee for breakfast as well and a lovely small park opposite where you can sit to enjoy them. Carlos and Maria were easily contactable if we had any questions about Porto and advised on how to get to and from the air bnb- the bus from the train station was easy to use and stopped close to the apartment. Their daughter in law met us when we arrived and helped us work out what to do for our short stay and how to use the public transport which was a great help.   Comments: We had a very good stay. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the living room well organized and comfortable. A bonus perk was how good the view was from the windows. It was nice being next to a park and within walking distance of all the tourist hot spots without being in the centre of them and having to deal with excessive noise. The apartment is near a shop too, which made buying food very handy. Would definitely stay there again.

  Comments: Appartement idéalement placé pour découvrir Porto à pieds, mais : -situé en face d'un grand hôpital donc bruit de sirènes fréquents à toutes heures, -station de taxi au pied de l'immeuble et chauffeurs très bavards parfois jusqu'à 3h du matin, -circulation dense toute la nuit causant beaucoup de bruit, même fenêtres fermées. Selon moi, cet appartement convient bien pour des jeunes lors de courts séjours ( 3 jours maxi ), au delà, l'espace et le manque de linge de maison se font cruellement sentir ( serviettes, draps ).

  Comments: Carlos was very helpful and gave us tips to travel from airport to the apartment. Our flight got delayed and he was quick to respond to help accommodate our new arrival time. We were given home made biscuits upon arrival and free bottle of port wine! Location of the flat was great, easy access to city centre and about 20 mins walk to the river front.   Comments: Maria and Carlos' apartment in the centre of the old part of town is wonderfully comfortable, well equipped and so well located near to many of the things visitors to Porto will want to see and do. Having off-street, secure parking right next to the apartment was a great bonus, and we left it there for the whole stay, as everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. There is a mini-mercado a few doors away, and cafes and bars very close by. There is great dining down by the water, and it's an easy walk to the high bridge, then down the chairlift on the Gaia side for some port tastings. Don't miss the photography museum (currently housing an exhibit of Frieda Kahlo works). We thoroughly recommend Maria's apartment - very comfortable, super clean, and you'll likely receive the same warmest of welcomes as we did. 110% !!

  Comments: This was the best Airbnb we stayed in on our 2 week honeymoon in Europe. It felt so homey and comfortable, and the location couldn't be better. It's in a great neighborhood with a lovely park across the street, and is very quiet at night. We walked everywhere with no trouble. Plus, we were able to park our rental car in the lot during our stay, which was so helpful. Maria's son Miguel met us at the apartment and gave us so many great recommendations. We ate at two of the restaurants he suggested (within a 5 minute walk of the apartment) and they were some of the best meals we had on our whole trip! Being able to do our laundry after traveling for a week was a huge perk as well. We hope to come back to Porto someday, and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

  Comments: The house overall is pretty up to dated and clean. And both Carlos and his wife did a very good job communicate with us. The only disadvantage with the house is it is on the 3rd and without elevator, so it is pretty hard if you have some heavy luggage to carry.
