  Comments: My husband and I stayed at Chris and John's apartment under their house for a week. This is located in a quite neighborhood, butless than a five minute drive to a coffee shop and a grocery store. We were provided beach towels, beach chairs, sun screen, boogie boards and there was a hot tub for our use. This place was very clean and Chis and John had lorts of suggestions on things to do and see. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Great place great hosts. Phyllis

  Comments: John and Chris’ place is clean, peaceful and quiet. Close to many amenities, cute and local coffee shops and restaurants. Their hospitality will be one to remember. They treated us like family! Definitely recommend this place to stay for a great home away from home.

  Comments: The Perfect Hawaiian Getaway! John and Chris are amazing hosts and the property was neat and clean, well-appointed and offered a beautiful tropical garden setting. It is located in a quiet cul-de-sac close to the beach, town, shops and restaurants. Truly an ideal location away from the touristy spots, offering a more authentic Hawaiian escape. A fresh fruit basket was provided as well as Kona coffee along with other condiments and basic staples. Fresh flowers from their garden filled the place with a fragrant tropical scent. If a relaxing and convenient place is what you are looking for then look no further than this property. You will not be disappointed.

  Comments: John and Chris were extremely generous, thoughtful, communicative, helpful and pleasant to talk to. They gave us great tips about where to go and even took us to an awesome swimming hole. They provided a lot of things we wanted and would otherwise have had to rent or buy. The space of our home away from home was huge and lovely, and it even has an awesome hot tub for private use!!! I couldn't recommend this place more. :)

  Comments: John's apartment is in a quiet residential neighbourhood. The apartment was very well furnished and equiped, except for being a bit light on kitchen pots/pans and utensils - however as soon as we mentioned that, John arranged for them to be delivered to us VERY quickly! The apartment is very high quality, immaculately clean and very comfortable. Of particular mention - the king-size bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on! Although he was away from Hawaii at the time of our stay, John was readily available via Airbnb and had also arranged for a local contact who we met and was also very charming and helpful.

  Comments: Thumbs up for this place - one of the best Airbnbs I ever had. The flat was very clean, well equiped and with a nice garden to sit outside. The hosts have been super friendly and gave us a lot of toys for our little daughter. The place is in a quiet neighbourhood. Supermarket and other stuff is around the corner but steep up. You have to drive to go there and to the shoreline.

  Comments: John and Chris have the most beautiful place - one bedroom condo with everything you ever need in your tranquil stay at Big Island. Wake up and meditate in the garden or jump right into the private hot tub. They have tips and books about the best places, lots of beach equipment and some of the softest towels on Earth, probably. The kitchen is very well equipped and you even have your own barbecue. If you have the chance of meeting them yourself - you are in luck! John and Chris are the kindest and warmest hosts we have met. We ended up having many meaningful conversations and spent lovely time at the beach with lava tubes. Would go back there any time!

  Comments: The apartment is very well equipped with all you need and has a lot of nice details. We appreciated the huge size of the bed that we never saw in other rental apartments. The place is surrounded by a beautiful garden with lots of places to sit and rest. Not to forget the hot tub, where you can chill out while admiring the sunset! The location is very quiet, but at the same time close to lively Kailua-Kona and the beaches. Chris and John are lovely hosts, with whom we had a lot of enriching discussions and exchanges. They also provided a lot of information for activities and visits on the West Coast of Big Island. Thanks to both of you for the great hospitality and the delicious goodies!

If you are driving, their house is located in great neighbourhood and good access to coffee farms and famous touristic sites.   Comments: Chris and John were fantastic hosts. We loved their aptly named 'tranquil garden' with the peek-a-boo view of the ocean. The space was well appointed with many thoughtful items available for our use such as beach chairs and beach towels. Chris and John are knowledgeable about the island and were very helpful to our explorations with tips and suggestions. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them. Only wish we could have stayed longer!

  Comments: John and Chris provide a 5 star experience in the fully equipped apartment with a lot of extras. They were very helpful with suggestions and interacted only as much as we desired. The garden apartment was extremely comfortable and fully equipped with top of the line linens and appliances. Fresh fruit and gardenias from the gardens were a treat. The garden was a delightful place to sit in the morning listening to the birds and smelling the gardenias. Sitting in the hot tub viewing the spectacular Hawaiian stars was a real treat in the evenings. We could watch the sun set over the ocean from the property. The listing is very accurate and we highly recommend this B&B to anyone wanting to stay in a area that cools nicely for sleeping and is out of the touristy hubbub. There are good restaurants nearby and it is easy to get to any other part of the island.

  Comments: Great experience and value. John and Chris are gracious hosts and we enjoyed getting to know them. Their home is centrally located- 15 min to the heart of Kailua Kona, 10 min to Captain Cook in a cute neighborhood. Loved the garden and hot tub. We snorkeled, hiked, took a nighttime manta ray trip, visited a coffee plantation, zip lined. and had authentic local food all within an easy drive from their spacious one bedroom apartment. If you want to truly experience the Big Island-you will not be disappointed.
