  Comments: Over this Semana Santa, I travelled to Oporto with a couple of friends and we had the pleasure of staying in Joana and Rui Maia's flat. When we arrived we immediately received help from a neighbor who let us inside (the Portugese were very nice in general) and Joana and Rui Maia came over promptly. They gave us a lot of good recommendations, many of which we utilized, and they were very nice in giving us an explanation of the city. The location couldn't be better. The house itself is quiet and secluded, but you walk out the front gate and you are right in the heart of the nightlife. The house was great and we kept commenting on how cool the decoration was and how comfortable. We had everything we needed once in the house and in the end we felt we needed more time to explore Oporto. It was a great experience staying here, I would recommend it to anyone

  Comments: Acabo de hacer un viaje a Oporto con un par de amigos y ha sido una experiencia muy buena, alojarnos en ésta casa. Joana fue una anfitriona fantástica; cuando llegamos nos esperaba con un detalle. Nos hizo muchas sugerencias en cuanto a la zona de restaurantes y para tomar copas en Oporto y estaba en contacto con nosotros a través de wassap, para informarnos de cualquier duda que tuviéramos. El alojamiento estaba muy bien situado, cerca del centro histórico, ya que teníamos muy cerca una parada de Metro, restaurantes y bares . La casa era nueva, decorada con mucho encanto, estaba bien equipada, y nos sentimos muy cómodos los días que estuvimos. Si volviéramos a Oporto, nos alojaríamos aquí de nuevo, sin duda.   Comments: Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Joana & Rui were so helpful. They provided an overview of the area and what there was to see. This place is within walking distance of so many of the sites, restaurants, bars and shops. The house was spotless with extra pillows (usually don't have enough of those) and blankets. Everything we need for our stay was provided. I would highly recommend this place.

  Comments: Joana and Rui welcomed us with great hospitality (a bottle of port as a gift !) The apartment is newly renovated, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and very welcoming. The apartment description written by Joana and Rui is exactly like the original. The location is central to everything you need to see in Porto. The metro station and train station are less than a 5 minute walk; the bus stop is in front of the apartment. Joana has been truly delightful throughout our stay; it is always concerned that all was well. In a forthcoming holiday in Porto will certainly be in contact Joana and Rui, highly recommend to use their apartment!

  Comments: We were absolutely staggered by how well decorated this amazing apartment was in the centre of the thriving Porto 'night quarter'. It was a pleasure to stay here and we were able to fit four people in the double and two single beds. The complimentary bottle of Port and amazing recommendations from Rui at the beginning of our stay was a real bonus and we felt very comfortable here. I'd absolutely recommend this stunning, cosy apartment to anyone visiting Porto :)

  Comments: Vielen Dank für diese tollen vier Tage und die super Gastfreundlichkeit. Die Unterkunft entsprach genau den abgebildeten fotos und unseren Vorstellungen. Das Haus ist super ausgestattet und alles sehr sauber und ordentlich. Zudem war die lage perfekt, um Porto von dort aus zu erkunden. Man ist schnell sowohl in der Innenstadt als auch am Wasser und hat eine Menge toller Restaurants, Cafés und Bars in der Umgebung. Wir haben vor Ort noch einige Tipps von Joana und Rui persönlich erhalten und wurden sogar vom Bahnhof mit dem Auto abgeholt. Also nochmal vielen herzlichen Dank für alles!!! :-)

  Comments: The Back-to-Back House ll is a very nice accommodation. In the center from the old city..but totaly quit. I' havent sleept that good in the hole 2 weeks holiday :-) good beds also and a very clean place. Rui and Joana welcomed us very nice. We god a lot of tipps from them and Rui signed everything in a map. I always would visit this accommodation again.Thanks to Joana and Rui

You have everything you need and more to have a nice stay at their place. The location of the house is at a walking distance from the city centre and is very quiet for a good night sleep.   Comments: Joana's place is really nice. It is a whole house and it seems to be recently renovated, because everything is new. It is in the bar-center of Porto and you have may cafes, bar, pubs and clubs just around the corner. Nevertheless at night you can't hear anything and it is really quiet for a good nights sleep. From the house you can easily explore the city by foot. Nothing is far away. The house has a great kitchen and a really nice bathroom. We haven't used the living room and the TV, but I'd you need it, it is there. Joana is very friendly and she gave us may tips and recommendations. She grew up in Porto and knows all the cool places. Thanks for everything Joana.

  Comments: The place is absolutely great! It is located downtown, not far from all the nice bars and not too far from the public transportation. Although there is a nightlife right outside the door, the apartment is very quiet. It is also gorgeous inside. We enjoyed it being quite spacey for the two of us and very clean. Also, all the necessary kitchen equipment and cute home accessories made us feel at home. We have met Rui, who has provided us with interesting "insider" tips on where to go for dinner and recreation. He has also helped us with questions that arised during our stay. Overall, great place, great hosts. We would definitely stay here when we come back to Porto next time. =)

  Comments: Our stay at Joana & Rui's appartment was really nice! We were welcomed by Rui, who gave us lots of useful recommendations on what to see, where to eat etc. Also, there was a bottle of wine and two 'pastels de nata' waiting for us. Both Rui and Joana were very helpful before and during our stay. The apartment is beautiful and really clean. Everything you need is there. The only thing we missed was a little heater in the living room (or perhaps we just didn't find it) since it was starting to get cold (beginning of December). Other than that it was great! We would definitely come back here.

  Comments: Fuimos un grupo de 4 personas para visitar la ciudad. La casa es tal y como sale en las fotos. Muy ordenada y limpia. La ubicación realmente buena, céntrica. Los anfitriones te hacen sentir como en casa. Nos tenían preparado un detalle de bienvenida ;) Al llegar nos explicó toda la ciudad con un mapa que ellos mismos nos facilitaron. Durante nuestra estancia cualquier duda o problema era solucionado de inmediato. Sin duda los anfitriones se merecen un 10! Recomiendo este apartamento.

  Comments: Joana and Rui´s apartment is exactly as in the pictures. Everything is very clean and tidy. We really enjoy our stay because the location is perfect. It is in the very center and we could walk everywhere. Joana was very helpful, although we didn´t met her because she was working, there was someone waiting for us to deliver the keys. Just very easy. In any case Joana contacted me a few times to ask us how we were doing and if we had any questions. For those ones that go to Porto by car I highly recommend to rent her parking space because it is very convenient since Porto's streets can be very busy. It was a great weekend and Porto is a wonderful city! Thanks Joana!

We were particularly pleased with the area - central without being in too touristy. In fact, the area around her house has many fantastic restaurants and bars. Joana was also very flexible with the check-in and check-out hours which was very much appreciated. The price/quality ratio can't be beat.

  Comments: hôte très sympa. accueil excellent avec une bouteille de vin et des Nata (dessert local). petit appartement mais bien équipé pour des petits enfants (lit, chaise haute,poussette) quartier bien situé tout le centre peut être fait a pieds. un meilleur chauffage sera le bienvenu (il y a un radiateur qu'il faut mettre a fond pour qu'il chauffe les 2 étages) ainsi qu'une bonne aération car ça sent un peu l'humidité. les back to back houses tiennent vraiment leur noms car ils sont collés l'un a l'autre donc on entend les voisins quand ils parlent ou quand ils passent. les hôtes étaient très gentils et très réactifs. c’était un agréable séjour

  Comments: Très bon accueil de Luis et Joana a été très rapide à nous répondre par mail avant notre séjour! La petite maison est très bien située, en plein centre, on peut vraiment faire tout à pied sans aucun problème! Petit bémol sur l'unique petit chauffage, au mois de mars il ne fait pas très chaud et une odeur d'humidité pas très agréable quand on arrive... Mais sinon, la maison est très mignonne, très bien décorée et super calme!

  Comments: Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour à Porto! Le logement correspond parfaitement aux photos et la décoration est réalisé avec beaucoup de goût! Il est situé dans une rue calme et le centre historique est accessible à pied en seulement 10 à 15 minutes. Rien à dire au niveau de l'équipement, on y trouve tout le nécessaire pour un court séjour.

  Comments: Joana und Rui haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen, sogar eine Flasche Portwein stand bereit. Die beiden haben sich für uns viel Zeit genommen, alles gezeigt und uns viele nützliche Tipps gegeben. Außerdem waren sie die ganze Zeit über ansprechbar und behilflich. Das Häuschen ist geschmackvoll renoviert. Es ist Bestandteil einer kleinen Hinterhaussiedlung und ist dadurch ganz ruhig, obwohl es in einem wunderbar belebten Stadtviertel liegt. Man hat gleich alles vor der Tür: Die nette Bäckerei/Cafeteria Europa, wo man gut frühstücken kann; das Restaurant "A'Taska" (liebenswert von einem Ehepaar und einer Oma geführt), weiterhin gemütliche Kneipen, Trödlerläden usw. Auch als Ausgangspunkt für alle Stadttouren ist die Lage ideal. Alles in allem waren wir dort genau richtig am Platz, haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und würden die Unterkunft jederzeit gerne wieder mieten.

  Comments: Apartment is in a good central location, in a cluster of attached apartments inside a gate. Joana met us and explained everything and gave us a nice bottle of Port. Bedrooms are up a narrow staircase so not ideal for those with mobility issues or large luggage. Bed was very comfortable - very cute place.

  Comments: Quel accueil ! Nous sommes arrivés le jour de la fin de l'année universitaire. La circulation à Porto était saturée et nous étions totalement perdus, Joana et Rui sont venus à notre rencontre à pied pour nous guider dans la ville après être monté avec nous en voiture. Rui nous a ensuite indiqué les lieux importants de Porto à ne pas manquer (en les signalant sur le plan de la ville). Une bouteille de vin de Porto nous attendait à la location. Cette location est très agréable, au calme et à 2 pas du centre historique. La visite de la ville peut sans problème se faire à pied. Nous avons eu l'occasion de croiser Rui durant notre séjour et là encore, nous avons passé un excellent moment. Nous recommandons cette location, idéale pour 4 personnes. Propreté irréprochable, décoration de bon goût. Si nous devons retourner à Porto, ce sera sans hésitation chez ces hôtes d'une gentillesse exceptionnelle. Un grand merci à Rui et Joana, les quelques instants passés avec eux ont largement contribué à la réussite de notre séjour.

  Comments: Logement tout à fait conforme aux photos et descriptions. Récemment rénové et très propre, le logement est spacieux et bien entretenu. Il est en plus dans une cours très calme et bien situé. Tout le centre est accessible à pied. L'accueil a été sympathique (effectué par la sœur de Joana) avec différents conseils de choses à faire. A recommander !

  Comments: The house is exactly how it looks on the photo's; really tidy and modern. Joana welcomed us with a bottle of port wine and an extensive explanation about all the highlights on the map. We used it all week! The location of the house is perfect. On top of the hill, so the only way to go is down. At the end of the day we often took a taxi uphill, wich took us only around € 5,-. Porto is lovely and so is Joana and the house. Highly recommended!

  Comments: SUPER ! Merci à Joana pour ces précieux conseils sur le quartier (restaurants et supermarché) ça a vraiment contribué à faire de notre séjour un super moment. La maison est très bien située dans Porto (prés du métro direct de l'aéroport), nous avons tout fait à pied. La maison est très calme et super bien équipée, c'est parfait avec un enfant. Nous conseillons vraiment la maison et le quartier.

  Comments: Great house, clean, fully equiped and rather well decorated. The balcony on the second floor is very nice for a morning coffee. The neighbourhood is great, closer to the city center than I anticipated (10 / 15 minutes walk) and with lots of nice bars and restaurants around.   Comments: We had a great stay in Joana's house. She met us at check in and took the time to show us on a map the main places to see, including the closest supermarkets. The house was as described and very comfortable. A lot of care has been taken with the decorating. The location is perfect to get around and close to the main attractions but still quiet and peaceful. Joana messaged me part way through our stay to check if everything was ok, and made herself readily available. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

  Comments: The house is well located at centre of city with 5 minutes walking distance to Lello bookstore and Clerigos tower. There are many good restaurants and convenient stores nearby. You can easily catch Metro and bus just out of the house. The house is clean and well operated with everything you may need. Joana and her friend Paula are very nice and helpful. They responded to all my requests very quickly. If I got chance to travel in Porto again, definitely I will choose to live in the same house.

  Comments: Modern and well designed/decorated apartment in a great location close to some great (and cheap) bars and restaurants, but away from the tourist areas so you had a more local feel to the neighbourhood. The apartment was also off the street in a cute laneway. Joana made check in/out easy and provided some useful tips on where to go and what to do. The apartment was really clean and had all the amenities you could need for a short or long stay. The city is walkable but it is a long walk uphill from the river.

  Comments: Pequeno, mas conveniente. A casa é em um terreno com várias casinhas, algumas reformadas, outras bem velhas. Parece que Rui e Joana têm mais de uma casinha nesse espaço. A que fiquei (casa 3) era toda reformada, bem limpinha. É pequena (menor do que aparenta nas fotos), mas adequada a quem vai passear em Porto (afinal, ninguém viaja para ficar dentro da casa/hotel). Como avisado no anúncio, realmente a casa não é adequada a quem tem mobilidade reduzida porque a escada para os quartos é muito estreita (mais estreita do que a foto deixa transparecer) e, também, dificulta levar malas maiores para os quartos. Os quartos são pequenos (não há como deixar malas nos quartos), bem como o banheiro. O banheiro é sem banheira (ainda bem: sem riscos de escorregar durante a ducha). O banheiro de baixo é um lavabo (sanitário e pia – esta muito estreita) sem ducha (não há espaço para tomar banho). A cozinha tem os equipamentos necessários, a TV é boa e o Wi-Fi funciona muito bem.   Comments: Wir wurden sehr freundlich von einer Freundin von Joana und Rui empfangen und in das Haus eingewiesen. Das keine Back-to-Back Haus entsprach der Beschreibung und den Fotos. Alles war sehr nett und sauber eingerichtet. Die Lage des Hauses ist zentral in einem Hinterhof. Der angebotene Parkplatz für unseren Mietwagen wurde auch durch die beiden organisiert und lag in circa 5 Min. Entfernung vom Haus. Es ist wirklich unbedingt erforderlich einen Parkplatz zu mieten, falls man mit dem Auto in Porto unterwegs ist.

  Comments: Porto fut une magnifique découverte, le logement de Joana & Rui est idéalement placé, à quelques minutes à pied de la station de métro Trindade (pratique lorsqu'on arrive de l'aéroport) en plein cœur du centre historique et de ses lieux touristiques, nous avons pu explorer la ville à pied de long en large. C'est une mignonne petite maison parfaite pour un couple et 2 amis qui correspond tout à fait aux photos. Le plus est qu'elle est située dans un passage privé au calme, à deux pas des bons petits restaurants et de la pâtisserie du quartier. :) Nous avons été très bien accueilli par Paula qui nous a indiqué les emplacements de l'épicerie et des différents lieux à voir dans le quartier. Joana quant à elle s'est toujours montrée très réactive et fut vraiment adorable. Je recommande vivement de séjourner chez Joana et Rui lors de votre séjour à Porto. Moi j'y retournerai sans hésiter!!! Muito obrigado pour cet excellent séjour.

I recommend not having more than 4 persons in the apartment to keep some level of (personal) space. Also, there are only 4 chairs at the dining table. Paula waited for us to hand over the keys, and despite our late arrival because of a delayed flight, she took the time to kindly explain where we could things like a supermarket, local restaurants and the highlights of (Website hidden by Airbnb) recommenddation is to share the cell phone number from Paula, as we couldn't let her know that our flight was delayed. I really felt bad for her and her son, who were waiting very late in the evening. The neighbourhood is fantastic, very upcoming and close to the city center. I'd highly recommend this apartment!

I believe there is a bar close by, because we could hear people yelling through the hours of the night. Overall, a great experience!   Comments: Fantastic apartment, well located and clean. The apartment is in a safe compound surrounded by other apartments and quite close to some prettychilled out bars. Joanna herself is very quick to respond to requests and queries and was the perfect host. Apartment is also well equipped if you feel the need to cook and beds are comfy. Only thing is it gets cold upstairs so you would need to bring the portable heater upstairs. Also, Car parking is located in a secure space 5 min walk from the apartment. Would stay here again.

  Comments: Beautifully appointed apartment. Photos are very accurate. Great location with a fantastic cafe right down the street. The bed in the master bedroom was superb!!! Plenty of pillows as well, something we found as a rarity in many homes we've stayed in. Easily walk to downtown Porto and even Gaia. Communication was very quick. Our check-in was very late due to delays at the airport, but Joana friend was helpful getting us settled. We booked a parking spot with Joana as well and it was very close to the apartment. Visitors may wish to use Best Western Inca Hotel as the GPS waypoint, as our GPS and phone did not pull up the listed address. Already looking forward to a trip back!

  Comments: La petite maisonnette ainsi que le quartier sont vraiment top. Décorée avec goût, très propre et moderne, elle présente un emplacement idéal pour visiter Porto. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour en ce lieu. Toutefois, la capacité d'accueil n'est pas de 6 personnes. Il y a effectivement deux chambres, l'une avec un lit de grande taille et dans l'autre deux petits lits dont un accessible par une échelle. De plus il n'y a pas deux salles de bains, la description est fausse. Il y a une salle de bains à l'étage et au rez de chaussée, il y a un WC ainsi qu'un tout petit lavabo dans un réduit de moins d'1 m2. (Les photos sont trompeuses) Cette maisonnette est idéale pour un couple avec 1 enfant ou 2 maxi.

Il ne peut cependant pas accueillir 6 voyageurs dans la mesure où la 2ème chambre est équipée de 2 lits d'une personne. Nous avons subi une disjonction d'électricité (partie éclairage du living, cuisine et 1 wc) pendant 2 jours dues à des pluies importantes et certainement des infiltrations dans le faux plafond, non résolue à notre départ. le logement est bien situé dans une impasse calme

  Comments: We had a lovely stay in the house. The house looks like on the photos. It is in a small alley hidden behind a gate from the main street. The place was clean and cosy, if a little humid downstairs. It has been decorated with love and has some quirky and tight corners and a narrow staircase that might be a challenge for some people. The second bedroom is a bit small but perfect for children. Once the ladder is set up it is however a bit difficult to open the door. The main bedroom leads to a lovely terrace on which you can have a drink after a day of walking around in downtown Porto. The recommended restaurant A Tasca three doors down is a typical Portuguese place where we had a lovely and cheap dinner. A supermarket is only a block away. The communication and key handover worked as agreed.

  Comments: Nous avons été trés bien reçu par Paola. Joana et Rui n'étaient pas là. Mais tout c'est trés bien passé. Le logement etait le reflet des photos qui sont sur le site. Il est trés bien situé et trés calme. Joana a été trés réactive lorsque que nous avions besoin de quelque chose. Juste une petite chose, je pense qu'il aurait été plus judicieux de mettre un lave linge à la place d'un lave vaisselle. Nous sommes restés 2 semaines et ce n'est pas évident pour laver le linge car pas de PRESSING. Et pas assez de vaisselle pour faire tourner un lave vaisselle. De plus au PORTUGAL on mange au restaurant, c'est tellement bon !!!! et il y a tellement de chose à découvrir. Autrement Il n'y a rien à dire, nous avons passé un agréable séjour (2 semaines) nous y retournerons et le recommandons sans aucun probléme.

À notre arrivée nous avons été très bien accueillie. Joana was great to communicate with. The place was well-stocked and in a great place for walking around. Just a few doors down is a wonderful, authentic restaurant.   Comments: Our visit to Porto was amazing - the city, the culture, the people. Joana and Rui's place for us was in an ideal location, a lively quarter of Porto surrounded by lots of great bars and restaurants. We were a mixed group 2 sisters in our late 30's/early 40's and our Dad who is 70. Once we had navigated the city on our first day we realised that everywhere was so accessible. The map Rui sent to me prior to us arriving was great we easily found our way from the Trinidade Metro station to the Back to Back House. Our welcome was great too - the house was spotlessly clean, comfortable with everything on hand you could ask for. All in all we had a very special trip to Porto to celebrate or Dad's 70th birthday. We would all consider visiting Porto again in the future and possibly staying at the Back-to-Back House II

  Comments: Joana and Rui's place was an excellent launching point for exploring downtown Porto. Within walking distance of all major attractions, it provided a good home base for storing bags during the day and sleeping when back at night. While the tiny apartment is off the main street, and only minimal late night noise filtered through from people leaving the bars, there was a very loud neighbor throughout one of the mid-week nights that made it somewhat difficult to sleep.

  Comments: Nous avons été accueilli par Paula, la voisine à notre arrivée. Elle nous a montré tout ce qu'il y avait à savoir dans l'appartement et nous a conseillé quelques visites. L'appartement est confortable, dans une impasse en retrait de la rue. Le quartier est calme, un excellent restaurant , le "museu d'avo" est à deux pas. L'emplacement est idéal, près de la station de métro Trinidade. La découverte de la ville à pied se fait idéalement à partir du logement. La douche fuit un peu, et l'espace paraît plus exigü que sur les photos mais sinon, il n'y a rien à redire; nous conseillons cet endroit pour passer un séjour agréable. Barbara et Valérie

Lo único malo es que sólo había un calefactor y hacia frío en todo el apartamento, sobre todo arriba en las habitaciones. Nos dijeron que podíamos subirlo pero las escaleras eran bastante estrechas y además siendo sólo uno y dos habitaciones tampoco era una solución.

El inconveniente fue al abrir el sofá cama, pues no estaba limpio; las sabanas estaban limpias pero no las colchas ya que había bastantes pelos que no eran nuestros y eso deberían comprobarlo antes. Otro de los inconvenientes fue el baño de arriba, se salía el agua por abajo y algún enchufe que no funcionaba. La cocina está completamente equipada.   Comments: Nous avons passé 4 jours à Porto dans cette maison-appartement qui très bien situé pour avoir tout à quelques pas: restaurants, épiceries, souvenirs et les sites touristiques essentiels. C'est assez petit mais bien conçu, mais faut pas être obèse pour passer dans l'escalier. De nature très positive, je ne suis pas très exigeante surtout en vacances. J'aurais préféré faire part de remarques à nos hôtes, mais personne n'est venu donc voici les points qui m'ont bcp dérangé : L'accès au lit enfant en hauteur est vraiment dangereux (échelle mobile non fixée) il manque 1 voire 2 vis aux chaises qui sont branlantes, avec mes 80 kg je n'ai pas oser m'asseoir dessus ! Plusieurs prises électriques sont cassées, ou arrachées du mur laissant apparaître les fils. Et pour couronner tout ça, une odeur d'egout très présente et persistante. La literie est vraiment très très ferme, en fait trop, y compris le canapé ou mon fils avec ses 40 kg tout mouillé avait très mal au dos. Dernier reproche, quand on loue pour 4-6 personnes on laisse plus de 2 verres et 2/3 tasses dans la cuisine. Malgré de nombreux points forts (prix et emplacement), je ne retournerai pas dans ce logement avec les enfants et je ne le recommande pas non plus pour plus de 4 personnes.

Le logement est bien placé par rapport à sa proximité du centre ville et de lieux de restauration de très bons rapports qualité-prix. La plus petite chambre donne sur une cour qui peut être bruyante le soir en raison d'une auberge de jeunesse proche. La fenêtre fermée isole heureusement bien du bruit. La petite terrasse n'est pas idéalement placée et peu pratique en raison de sa taille et du vis à vis. Dès notre arrivée il manquait des vis aux chaises de la salle. Il faudrait absolument les réparer.

  Comments: The apartment is cozy, but very friendly. It's located in a hip area and a short walk to the waterfront. The living room was large and inviting and the master was comfortable. The smaller room with the bunk beds was not enough room for two people and had ants, and the room was very warm (warmer than the outside temperature, particularly on the top bunk). If you opened the window, it helped a little but you then heard all of the loud bar noise. In the morning, we faced loud construction noise. If you are traveling with 2-3 people, the space works well but I would not recommend any higher numbers. Also, bring a fan with you.

Alles te voet kunnen doen en liggend in een fijne wijk met leuke eettentjes en barretjes. Het appartement zelf is klein (smalle trap en gangetjes) maar heeft wel alles wat je nodig hebt. Met 2-4 personen prima te doen, 6 zou wel erg vol worden met twee mensen op een slaapbank. De wifi deed het goed en keuken en bedden waren schoon.

The house is nice and cosy and is well equiped. The area is central, but quite silent. The tight stairway to the upper floor where the bedrooms are might be an issue for very big or handicapped people. We enjoyed the little balcony very much.

  Comments: Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in dem Häuschen - die Lage ist super, ruhig gelegen in einer Art Hinterhof, aber trotzdem ist man innerhalb weniger Gehminuten in vielen schönen Ecken Portos. Und es gibt einen süßen schwarzen Kater in der Nachbarschaft, der ab und zu mal vorbeischaut :-) Die Zimmer sind alle zwar eher klein, aber clever & hübsch eingerichtet und man hat alles da was man braucht und es gibt sogar diverse Extras wie einen Balkon, eine Spülmaschine etc. Der Kontakt war immer superschnell und zuverlässig, wir hatten immer das Gefühl uns jederzeit an Joana & Rui wenden zu können. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen :-)

The kitchen is fully equipped, I do not know why you’d want to cook with so many excellent restaurants around but you could. Beds are good. I would not recommend the house for 6 people though, that would be too crammed. The location is great, in an off street alley with small local houses. We felt very safe there at night. Bars, restaurants, sights are in walking distance. Joanna and Rui are kind and stayed in touch during our stay. If you want a real local experience, stay here!

  Comments: Van donderdag tot zondag in het appartement geweest. Het appartement ligt een beetje in een achteraf straatje, maar is daardoor heel rustig en je hebt geen last van geluidsoverlast. Prima locatie midden in het centrum (op 5 min. loopafstand van de populaire bibliotheek), goede bedden, schoon en sterke Wi-fi. Met z'n tweeën was het goed te doen, maar met meer personen wordt het wel erg krap.. Enige minpuntje was de douche: de boiler raakt na 3 minuten al leeg en dan sta je onder een koude douche. Maar de prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding is zeer goed! Ik zou het zeker aanbevelen!

  Comments: L'endroit est super mignon, fidèle aux photos. L'escalier vers l’étage est étroit mais une fois la valise montée c'est parfait. L'appartement est situé sur une petite ruelle cachée et tout prés d'un métro, aller vers les attraits et le Douro se fait très bien a pied aussi . Durant notre séjour il y a eu un voisin saoul bruyant mais il parait que c’était exceptionnel, l'endroit est réputé calme sinon.

  Comments: The Apartment was prepared nicely for our stay, especially the babybed for our 7-Month-old son was decorated lovely! The Location is Perfect, Bars all around, shops and bakeries and a few very nice Parks! The Apartment is located in a backyard, which is very quiet. But there are also some other air bnb Apartments - in our case it was very lively around there. Also we were a bit unlucky that we had extremly hot days and the Temperature was very high in the bedroom at Night (but there are two fans which made it a Bit more comfortable). The Communication with Rui and Joana was very friendly and quick and everytime we had a question they answered immediatly! All in all we enjoyed our stay a lot! :)

  Comments: A nossa estadia foi ótima! Fiquei por cinco dias na casa com minha filha e meu marido e nos sentimos muito bem no local. O Rui é um host muito atencioso e quando chegamos ele nos deu boas dicas sobre Porto. A localização também foi muito conveniente para realizarmos nossos passeios! Eu só colocaria dois pontos de atenção: a casa fica bastante quente no verão; e na época da nossa estadia a casa passava por pinturas, então a casa tinha um pouco de pó de reforma (mas imagino que isso tem a sido ocasional por causa das pinturas). Mas no geral, saímos de lá com uma ótima impressão da casa e do host e memórias maravilhosas da Cidade!

  Comments: Cutely designed apartment in a great, hip location of restaurants & shops. We are a family with an infant - the space is a bit smaller than we expected for our family (small rooms & bathrooms). Bed was comfortable. Rui was very helpful & responsive in giving local recommendations. Provided a baby bed & linens. Everything we needed for a weekend stay. Things to keep in mind: - Loud neighbors (we heard neighbors partying and drunk people) and thin walls, so if you're sensitive to noise, you might want to consider this. - Staircase has small, steep steps so you have to be careful and bringing heavy suitcases up/downstairs - 2nd bedroom has a bunkbed (better suited for younger kids rather than an infant) - 2nd bedroom can get quite warm. Open windows & fan but mosquitos. Overall, a pretty decent stay for a weekend.

  Comments: Great house with a very good location. It is in a nice area with lots of restaurants and shops. You should definitely eat around here because if you go downtown its get more expensive and the quality doesn't get better. The house is great with two bedrooms and a cosy living room. Everything what we needed was there. Communication with Rui went very smooth and checking in was no problem. I would recommend staying here and would like to come again when back in Porto!

  Comments: This is a cute quiet little courtyard with native Porto families as your neighbours. The area is very boho and cool. Porto University is nearby so a lot of great bars and restaurants without a lot of tourists. In fact we saw very few till we walked the 10 minutes it takes to get to the centre. Great dinner in Mundo and lunch at Brick. Reservations should really be made if you're travelling at the weekend. The house is perfect for three, four at a push. Clean, comfortable and well kitted out. We didn't meet our hosts but they stayed in contact to make sure we had all that we needed. Excellent value too.
