  Comments: Sheila and Manny are the types of hosts who make you not only feel at home, but also like family - from inviting us to their local pub with their delightful friends, to having a meal at what must be one of the most authentic Chinese restaurants, not to speak about introducing us to Rocco's which must have the best canneloni outside Italy :) A wonderful spot for those who want to be part of New York life and still have a peaceful place to retire to at night :) The apartment is exactly like on the pictures - charming, newly renovated, clean and well-equipped. It is in a lively neighbourhood with a great cafe for brunch (Cafe Orlin), jazz and good French food (Jules Jazz bar) and some of the best pizza slices right on the corner at Stromboli. There are also some amazing little shops and parks in the area. The perfect location in all aspects. We loved it and we will be back!

  Comments: Spend a very very nice time by Sheila and Manny. The studio was exactly has expected and advertised. I've been travelling with my wife and our 20 months old daughter. The location was perfect for us. Quiet studio in the middle of East Village. Just a few minutes away from the subway station and Greewich village. Everything needed was available in the studio: wifi, kitchen, washing machine, dryer, ... Sheila and Manny were really helpful at all time. We will definitely stay again there during our next stay in NYC.

  Comments: Shelia was great! My parents came to NY for the second time and stayed at Shelia's place on St. Marks Street. The place was so cute and very clean. There was a lovely little outdoor space and my parents couldn't stop raving about the apartment. Sheila was so accommodating and was there to answer any and all questions any time my folks had any. Thank you Shelia for making their stay in the city so stress-free and wonderful!

  Comments: The stay at Sheila and Manny's was great! They are very thoughtful hosts and provided everything we needed, including necessitites, information and a most warm welcome. The apartment is large (we stayed there with four people in the large main room and didn't mind a small bathroom) and cozy and equipped with everything you could wish for, including coffee maker, washing machine, a large gas stove etc. It is located in the centre of the vibrating East Village with its many restaurants and bars. The apartment is in the back so you hardly notice the bustle outside. It has a small backyard where you can sit outside to have breakfast before walking around Manhattan or taking the Subway (which is very close). We will love to come back and highly recommend staying there!

  Comments: Sheila and Manny were the best hosts we could have imagined. The apartment is perfect and roomy with its own private entrance and access to an outdoor patio (grill and all.) They have thought of everything you could possibly need including a full list of food, coffee, and sites worth checking out. The location was even better than I thought as we were a matter of blocks from most of our main NYC food destinations and merely and hop and a skip from everything else you could possibly want to do. We had the pleasure of meeting Sheila for a round at her local watering hole and highly suggest to pop by to meet all of her neighbors and friends! These two hosts have really made a home for themselves in their neighborhood and welcomed us with open arms. You have to stay at this St Marks gem! Unfortunately for any other prospective hosts in this city, we will always have Sheila's studio as our first choice. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer, but we will be back soon. -Shannon and David

  Comments: What a perfect place to spend some great days in New York City! Sheila and Manny are very welcoming, helpful, and generous hosts. We really enjoyed staying in their charming studio, which is clean, cozy, and very well organized. It is also very conveniently located in East Village, which made it easy for us to get to our destination during our NYC trip. Sheila is extremely responsive, and I highly recommend her as a host. We went out one evening together in her favorite bar just around the corner and met some of her friends. It was such a nice evening. Thanks, Sheila!   Comments: From the minute I contacted Sheila the first time on Airbnb, I new I had met someone special! We became (website hidden) friends right away to get to know each other, better. My last day in New York I posted this on my(website hidden)wall: "Normally I don't post this kind of personal stuff, but I felt I had to. This week I met the most incredible woman and his husband. Sheila was our host during my visit to New York and she made this stay the best ever. She is the most affectionate and funny person I have met before. Smart, cute and so open minded.   Comments: Shelia apartment was more than what we expected. The apartment was much larger than anticipated and fully stocked with hygiene products, coffee, extra linens and towels and even some milk and other food products. She also had plenty umbrellas handy which were needed on our trip. I stayed at the apartment with my two cousins and a friend and we were comfortable in the apartment. More importantly, one of my cousins had a sudden accident and was in a wheel chair during our stay. The apartment is very handicap accessible with limited stairs, spacey hallways and living space and also a detachable showerhead and tub railings. This is a huge plus because we were worried she would have a lot of trouble getting around but it was no hassle at all. The apartment itself is very clean and modern. We really loved the garden area which had a full set of chairs and table for relaxation and was also very private. Shelia and her husband were amazing hosts and helped with any questions we had. Honestly, our experience was amazing and I am so glad that we had the opportunity to stay in Shelia's apartment.

  Comments: Sheila and Manny were great hosts in every way. Met us and briefed us on the place and offered much information about events in the area. The roomy ground floor apartment has dishwasher, washer/dryer, and all the kitchen appliances you'd need, including our favorite Keurig coffee maker. Closet space, beautiful floors, stylish modern furniture, and a bed to gladden the heart of the traveler. This block of St. Mark's Place is peaceful enough during the days, and the area around it throbs with activity especially on weekend evenings. Classic Lower East Side digs and exceptional hosts.

  Comments: De bästa värdpar man kan önska sig! Vänliga generösa och hjälpsamma och flexibla. Lägenheten är jättetrevlig, fräsch och förvånansvärt tyst för att vara NY. Bakgården är verkligen en tillgång med blommande buskar och träd och morgonsol som sipprar ner mellan husen.

  Comments: L'appartement est joliment aménagé et bien situé dans Manhattan, à moins de 20 mn de métro ou de marche de la plupart des lieux majeurs de NYC, du quartier des affaires à central park, en passant par soho, chinatown ou little Italy. L'aéroport JFK est à 40 mn de taxi. La quartier East Village est vivant, très représentatif de l'idée qu'on peut se faire de New York, cependant la rue et l'appartement restent paisibles. Nous y sommes restés au jeudi au mardi et on y dort bien, même le week-end (cela dit, c'est tous les jours le week-end ici). Sheila et Manny sont très sympathiques et accueillants, il s'agit d'un vrai BnB et les hôtes sont attendus et bien reçus. Merci à vous pour ce séjour agréable, nous reviendrons.

  Comments: Sheila was a fantastic host. We contacted her 3 hours before we arrived to book the apartment, due to a mix up with our hotel. She went above and beyond to help us out, literally pushed the boat out for us to accommodate. The apartment was immaculate and ideally located in the east village.   Comments: Our experience staying at the apartment was great! Sheila & Manny were both very helpful and so friendly. Sheila met us when we arrived & showed us around the apartment & where everything was. Looks just like the photos! She went over and above and helped book us some transportation to the airport for a day trip we had & then again for the day we were flying out. The beds were comfortable & everything worked well. The only thing we had trouble with was the hot water in the bathroom but once Manny explained it to us it was easy (you have to let it run a few minutes for it to heat up). Would definitely stay here again & recommend it to everyone :-) thanks for a fabulous time & all your help & recommendations!!!

  Comments: On a scale of 1-10 this is a 20. The accommodations, the hostess and host, and the neighborhood allowed us to not just visit but to live "NYC". The pictures of the apartment did not lie. Plenty of room and a quiet and comfortable place that provided us with everything we needed. Sheila became a friend for life and her family and friends were the icing on top of the cake. The neighborhood welcomed us into their inner circle. We loved every minute of it. We will return !!!!!!

  Comments: One of new yorks great neighborhoods with restaurants cafes shops and handy to subways. The place is quiet and private and newly remodeled and clean. Its got washer/dryer, dishwasher and every kitchen thingy you need. The hosts are terrific. Sheila is a super ny lady who can assist with any issue within minutes of a text/call since they live in the building. The final secret, a private little outdoor teagarden out the back door...wonderful. Because I hope to stay here on future trips to ny I hesitate to encourage you but I must be honest.

  Comments: Sheila is one of the nicest people I've ever met. I stayed here three nights and four days with my boyfriend and my dog during our vacation and we felt so welcomed. She provides towels, soaps, fruits, some staple foods like coffee and some condiments. The place smelled very clean when we walked in. There were fresh flowers as a center piece of the table. Location is right next to the many restaurants and bars in East Village so we only needed to walk a block or two to get some good food. The dog park is just 2 blocks down so it was very convenient to walk our dog. the place is also very private and quiet surprisingly since it is so near a busy street. I highly recommend staying here if you want great service (Sheila really is the best) and a great location.

  Comments: L'appartement est tout à fait conforme aux photos et commentaires. Le quartier est vivant, très agréable et il y a une multitude de restaurants possibles pour se restaurer. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Sheila qui avaient prévu quelques attentions à notre arrivée : fruits frais, nécessaires pour le petit déjeuner... Sheila et Manny sont très chaleureux, disponibles et de bons conseils pour les visites à faire ! Je recommande cette annonce sans aucune hésitation, l'appartement peut tout à fait convenir pour une famille de 4 personnes (nous étions en famille avec 2 ados). Les stations de métro sont facilement et rapidement accessibles depuis l'appartement. Il y aussi des supérettes ou l'on trouve tout le nécessaire. Un grand merci à Sheila et Manny sans qui notre voyage n'aurait pas été aussi parfait !

  Comments: Vi blev mødt af Sheila og hendes familie ved døren til ejendommen, meget søde mennesker. Shiela fulgte os til lejligheden som var lige så fin som på billederne og beskrivelsen, en helt perfekt "rede" for et besøg i byernes by New York.   Comments: Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Shelia waiting for us in the rain, we were made to feel like family from the word go everything about the apartment was as we expected , including the personal touch of flowers wine & fruit making us feel at home right away. The village atmosphere was more than we expected felt safe to wander around at night, comfortable walking distance to Astor Place for metro for both Uptown & Downtown lines. There were many restaurants & supermarkets for food choices everything was so easy as Australian's we feel it was good value for money.

  Comments: We had an amazing time staying at Sheila's listing! The location was perfect for us since we spent most of our time around Soho. Upon arrival Sheila's son let us in and soon Sheila stopped by to let us know where everything was. The day we arrived was my birthday and she left cupcakes and flowers for us!   Comments: Sheila's studio is perfect! My boyfriend and I stayed here for two weeks over Christmas 2014, and were super happy with the apartment. Its cozy, clean, quiet and in a great spot! Upon arrival, I was welcomed by Sheila and immediately felt at home. There were flowers, basics in the fridge and cupboards (like eggs milk and cereal) and extra towels/sheets if you need. The subway station (we walked to Astor Place) was just at the end of the street- about a 3-5 minute walk. The neighbourhood is buzzing with bars, restaurants and feels young and hip. The apartment itself (like other guests have noted) is at the back of the building, so it is super quiet and easy to sleep well in. Sheila was easily contactable throughout our whole stay, and kindly invited us to her annual Christmas party- which was a lot of fun! For Josh's birthday we received wine and chocolates- Sheila really is the perfect host! Thank you Sheila (and Manny!)- we honestly felt like the luckiest people in NYC staying at your place.   Comments: I’ve been back home for a week after spending four (4!) wonderful weeks in New York at Sheila and Manny’s airbnb. This was my first airbnb experience – and it couldn’t have been better! Sheila and Manny’s airbnb may be the best secret in New York City! It’s so incredibly quiet, comfortable, convenient – and it has all the amenities (including washer and dryer!) – plus it’s in one of NYC’s most fun neighborhoods. And Sheila and Manny are wonderful, generous hosts. Sheila and Manny’s was recommended to me by my friend Ulrika W. from Sweden who usually stays there when she travels to New York with her family. I’m from New York myself and lived in this neighborhood in the East Village many years ago. Now I live in Europe, but I’m so happy to have found Sheila and Manny’s – which really felt like my own home away from home. I can’t wait to stay there again!

  Comments: Sheila, What a delightful getaway you offer for the weary traveler! This apartment truly offers everything one would need and more! We found the space to be just as you have advertised...clean, modern and quiet! I couldn't believe the building was on such a happening street as quiet as it was inside!   Comments: Sheila and Manny have been wonderfull hosts. They were very active in the commmunication. What was also al plus was that they could us great tips about the area, a nice diner, restaurants. And even a tip for gospel also we were not fit enough to make it. I thank them for their tips. The apartment was reallys nice. Everything besides the bathroom is in one space. The only thing was that there is not much light since it is in the basement. We had a great time there. Thanks

  Comments: Soggiorno perfetto, casa pulita, accogliente e con tutti gli accessori necessari. L'appartamento è a pochi minuti a piedi dalla Metro, situato in un quartiere molto carino, pieno di vita e di locali diversi, ma comunque molto silenzioso.   Comments: My family and I stayed at Sheila and Manny's studio for a week and we absolutely loved it. It's just as described, super clean and with everything you need. We appreciated very much the little extra touches such as the beautiful flowers, the coffee, wine, fruit, etc. Even though it's located a very busy street with lots of bars and restaurants, it was really quiet at night because it leads to the back yard.   Comments: We have highly appreciated our stay in Sheila's apartment. We spent one week with our childrens. Sheila and Manny are really nice host guest, we had a very good welcome. They were very reactive to all our request ( reply in less than 2 minutes with (Hidden by Airbnb) -:) ) and always ready to help you. The appartement was fully compliant with the description and pictures, clean, and very well equipped ( all is new ) with more than all you will need. It is perfect for a family of 4. It's also important to say that it is very quiet, with absolutely no noise from the street, what is rare in NYC. The area ( Saint Marks Place in East Village ) is very nice, close to many restaurants, bars and shops, you will love it if you want to live as a New-yorker, far from very touristic areas. At the end of the day, we fully recommend this address.

  Comments: A beautiful, quiet apartment in a great, vibrant and lively neighbourhood! Over 7 days, we enjoyed restful sleeps, our first coffee of the day in our private little garden space, and the use of laundry facilities and kitchen (stocked with condiments and more - like the great coffee and fresh milk!). On the street and throughout the neighbourhood, food and drinks and parks and art and culture abound, sometimes making it difficult to stray too far away in the day. Greenwich and SOHO are also great neighbouring areas within easy walking distance. Thank you, Sheila and Manny, for your great company and generous spirit (and for the wine - and the beautiful flowers which began to wilt and fade only in the last hour before we left ;)).   Comments: Just came back from a week's wonderful stay in NYC - much thanks to Sheila and Manny and their lovely quiet apartment right in the center of East Village. Great funky neighborhood and a very functional apartment that was very quiet - we woke up in the morning from bird song from our little patio outside! Didn't think that was possible in Manhattan! And Sheila took really good care of us and made us feel both welcome and comfortable - info beforehand, chilled wine and fresh fruit when we arrived and tips on things to do and see while we were there. I would definitely stay there again on my next visit to NYC. Also a short walk to subway stations so you easily get to where ever you want to go - but it is also a nice walk up and down Broadway to get to Battery park or to Time Square. I would rate this a 5 star stay :-)

  Comments: Siamo stati ospiti di Sheila e Manny per dieci giorni durante il mese di maggio 2015. La casa è esattamente come nelle foto se non meglio. Al nostro arrivo Sheila ci ha mostrato come muoverci nell'appartamento e ci ha fornito di una guida con i consigli utili sulla zona. La dispensa per la prima colazione era ben fornita. E' stato davvero comodo avere a disposizione lavatrice, asciugatrice e lavastoviglie. Da non sottovalutare il piccolo giardino sul retro che regalava momenti di relax circondati dal canto degli uccellini. Potremmo continuare ad elencare i lati positivi della casa, dalla posizione ai servizi locali ma questo si può tranquillamente trovare nelle precedenti recensioni. Preferiamo invece dedicare delle parole alla gentilezza di Sheila e Manny. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di incontrare due persone davvero straordinarie. Ci hanno accolti come amici di lunga data e così hanno continuato a farci sentire per i giorni successivi. Capitava a volte di incontrarli davanti casa tornando dalle lunghe giornate e subito ci invitavano a bere qualcosa di fresco per fare due chiacchiere. Abbiamo iniziato a consigliare l'appartamento ancora prima di rientrare in Italia e nel caso dovessimo fare ritorno a NY sarà sicuramente questo il nostro punto di riferimento. Grazie di cuore!!   Comments: Sheila and Manny’s apartment is located in vibrant East Village where you’ll find plenty of small shops, restaurants and lots of bars. The pictures accurately represent what you’ll find in the apartment: it has everything you need and the bed is very comfortable. The streets can be noisy at night, but you won’t hear any of it inside the apartment which is very calm. Instead, you’ll wake up to the pleasant birds’ songs coming from the backyard. We were very pleased to arrive and find fruit, chocolate and wine at our disposal. Sheila and Manny were great hosts in every way: welcoming, generous and very helpful! L'appartement correspond parfaitement à la description de l'annonce, situé en demi sous-sol et en arrière cours donc à l'abri du bruit de la rue. Il est un peu juste (un canapé lit peu confortable) pour 4 sur un long séjour (10 jours) mais parfait pour 2 personnes. Le quartier est très vivant (pleins de petits restaurants), a proximité de nombreuses lignes de métro et bus permettant de profiter pleinement de Manhattan. Encore merci pour votre accueil.

  Comments: Sheila and Manny made me feel very welcome and it was great of them to stay up until midnight to show me the studio when I arrived late from London. Sheila left a bottle of red wine which was a lovely touch and one I enjoyed over the course of my stay. The Studio is really well located in walking distance to great restaurants and great local stores that seem to stock everything: Soho is a 20 minute walk away and it's really easy to get everywhere else too. It's also presented really nicely and has everything you could want including a washer/dryer and the most comfortable bed. I stayed at the studio for a 4 day business trip so unfortunately my schedule didn't allow much time to get to know Sheila or the neighbourhood but what I did see, I loved.

The apartment is comfortable with every toiletry you could ask. The kitchen cupboards are well stocked too- everyone leaves things for the next guests, as well as the wine, nibbles and flowers that welcome you. The garden is a little haven and the neighbourhood is vibrant and full of supermarkets, restaurants and bars.   Comments: As soon as we arrived Sheila and Manny welcomed us with open arms. They were easily accessible if we had any questions and were happy to give us tips on where to go around town. We couldn't have asked for better hosts in Manny and Sheila. The unit was absolutely perfect. After looking at what we would be paying for a hotel near Times Square at this time of the year, then deciding on this, we could not have been happier. It was twice the size of what I expected, and was fully stocked with everything we needed. Even though it was warmer than expected, the studio was warm, and the little yard out the back added a nice touch. Overall, the place was perfect for a week's stay in the Big Apple and, when we return, I'll certainly be in contact with Sheila and Manny again!

The apartment, exactly as it looks, perfect for a couple and even a few kids, all the amenities of home. We took one or two suggestions as a trial and then quickly tried to check out the rest because everything is spot on, nearby, and incredible. It's really in the middle of Eats Village, but not so noisy even in the evening. I did not have to walk long to get to 24 hours super market, my kind of bars and restaurants. One of my friends who lives in this neighbour hood for a long time, visited this room and told me "I want to live here!".

Im at a loss of words when it comes to describing how lovely the apartment is, how thoughtful and generous her accommodations were (she has truly thought of everything in terms of stocking the apartment), and how friendly and courteous she and her family are. It was my birthday and she even went as far as to buy us a bottle of wine and 2 cupcakes! She is incredibly respectful of privacy, yet there when you need something. Staying in this super cozy, yet spacious apartment and having the pleasure of getting to know Sheila was definitely the "icing on the cake" in terms of our vacation. Perfect neighborhood, perfect apartment, perfect host. Absolutely ZERO complaints, which is utterly amazing in NYC when you always seem to have to sacrifice something! (Noise level, outdoor space, indoor space, walk-up building, etc). We've already said that we can't imagine going back and not staying here-- as anywhere else would surely be a letdown.   Comments: Après avoir échangé avec Sheila et Manny sur notre voyage à l'occasion des 10 ans de notre fille cadette, nous avons été accueillis avec cupcakes, bougie, fleurs, bouteille de vin... Sheila et Manny sont des hôtes extrêmement chaleureux et attentifs, qui ont à coeur de rendre votre séjour agréable et enrichissant. Manny nous a emmenés le dimanche matin dans une église de Harlem pour assister à une messe gospel et nous avons eu avec eux des échanges très agréables et intéressants. Ils se sont tous deux montrés très attentionnés avec nos deux filles, qui les ont adorés ! Le logement est très bien situé, au coeur d'un quartier très vivant d'East Village. On peut s'y restaurer à toute heure du jour et de la nuit et pourtant, l'appartement est incroyablement calme. On n'entend pas un bruit de l'extérieur. De plus, le logement est très bien équipé. Il ne manque rien. Il y a même une machine expresso et des produits de base à disposition. Nous recommandons sans réserve cette adresse. Sheila et Manny sont les meilleurs hôtes que nous ayons rencontrés jusque là.

Once we got inside we were delighted to discover that Sheila had gotten us a gift card to a nearby coffee shop for our anniversary. The apartment is the perfect home base for New York. There are multiple subway stations close by making it simple to get around the city (we took the subway everywhere including back to the airport when heading home). We were able to enjoy the sites of NYC, but able to escape the craziness by returning to Sheila's place at the end of a very busy day. Shelia was so friendly and accommodating. She gave us tips on places to eat and things to do. We would return and stay at Sheila's place again.

It was surprising to us how quiet the apartment was given how bustling the street outside was and its proximity to bars and restaurants - remarkable. All the furniture was clean and comfortable and the hosts Sheila and Manny that perfect mixture of helpfulness without interfering. The location makes it easy to explore this vibrant area locally (don't miss out on the Tenement Museum experience), Chinatown for Dim Sum and is near to the subway to go further afield. It is a basement studio, but it is dry with no mustiness. The studio has its own entry from the street. The studio is placed to the back of the building, so it's surprisingly quiet for sleeping. A notre arrivée , pourtant tardive , Manny nous attendait et nous a expliqué tout ce que nous devions savoir. Le logement est très confortable dans une rue animée (bars et restaurants)ce qui plaira aux noctambules et pour les autres pas de panique il est en retrait de la rue donc pas de nuisances sonores et cela même pendant la Saint Patrick...Sheila a même eu la gentillesse de nous inviter ce soir là mais nous étions malheureusement trop fatigués pour en profiter. Une station de métro se trouve à 5 minutes à pied et beaucoup de taxis sont dans la rue ce qui est très pratique nottament pour se rendre a l'aéroport. Manny et Sheila ont toujours étaient disponibles pour répondre à nos questions ce qui était vraiment agréable. Nous vous recommandons vivement ce logement pour le lieu ainsi que pour les hôtes qui sont vraiment adorables. Nous y retournerions sans problème.....

Seeing that Sheila was a super host as well is what sealed the deal. I knew that she must have met the high standards Airbnb sets to obtain and maintain super host status. Let me say that she did not dissapoint!!!! My best friend and I had never been to NYC before and really had no idea what to expect. Sheila was very communicative and even checked in via text a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. We had lots of questions and she was more than happy to help in any way. The apartment was spacious and well appointed. There was fresh fruit, nuts, pretzels, milk, butter and other condiments in the fridge which was nice since we arrived in the later evening. There were groceries right around the corner at a small market which was a 3 minute walk. The entire street was lively and incredibly beautiful, filled with shops and bars and restaurants. Plan to spend some time there as it's equally cool as the rest of Manhattan. The back outdoor area was a definite treat and a charming place to relax. We sat on the front steps on Friday night and watched all the people come home from work. I could really feel the sense of community once Sheila and Manny joined us and the neighbors came around with hugs and we all shared some laughs. I felt so comfortable and safe there at all times. We slept very well every night, even when the street was pumpin, because the apartment is the basement level and towards the back so it's surprisingly quiet. There is private access to the gardens in back and above ground windows so it doesn't feel basement-like at all. The ability to do laundry was so great - the fact that you provided detergent, and I did not have to go purchase that after a long day walking around as a tourist was amazing! These extra touches are what make staying with you such a treat. I was traveling alone with 3 children and I felt safe in this location. We traveled primarily by subway and the 3 block walk was easy each morning and night. As you said "we did it all from baseball to Broadway " having a great place to stay made it all so enjoyable. It was quite and we slept fine without issue. It should accommodate most have but I’m sure they would do their best for whatever you need. They even let one of our guest keep her luggage at their place after checkout so she could enjoy the city before her late flight. Location of Shelia and Mannys place was ideal. We bought subway passes and didn’t use them because everything we did was walkable. We were having a girls weekend full of eating, shopping, and adult beverages! If you’re planning on shows and sight seeing you’ll use the subway more than we did. The neighborhood is lively and full of good food. Check out eater for recommendations, I’ve yet to be disappointed. Shelia and Manny also supply a list of suggestions. I would recommend this location to anyone! I’ve stayed a lot of places in NYC and this by far has been the best location for what I enjoy doing. Subway is about 2.5 to 3 blocks away which should take you anywhere you’d like to go in the city and beyond.

Being a bottom floor apt, the space doesn't get super bright light either, so if you want to sleep in, you won't have to deal with aggressive sunshine. Perfect for my tastes. The kitchen may the be best appointed AirBnb kitchen I've ever experienced. Fresh flowers, fruit, plenty of Kurig coffee pods, creamer in the fridge, even some beer and wine awaited us. Impressive closet/storage space, plenty of bathroom toiletries for your convenience, and I made use of the satellite music channels on the tv while hanging out. Once you leave, you're minutes from everything. Manny and Shelia were super helpful and communicative and friendly. I try to visit NYC once a year and would definitely stay here again for another Village Adventure.

  Comments: Everything about this place is fabulous! Such a cozy, perfect apartment in a great area close to absolutely everything. Sheila was great at responding to all questions etc right away and was super accommodating. Lots of thoughtful touches in the apartment like fresh flowers, snacks. So clean and comfy. Highly recommend this gem of a spot to anyone visiting NYC!

  Comments: Wer Sheila's Airbnb mietet, kann sich auf eine super freundliche, aufgeschlossene und hilfsbereite Vermieterin, sowie ein schönes, sauberes Appartment freuen! Die Kommunikation zwischen uns und Sheila verlief immer schnell und reibungslos. Falls es Probleme gab oder wir Hilfe brauchten, konnten wir uns jederzeit bei Sheila und ihrem Mann melden und uns wurde sofort geholfen. Auch mit Tipps und Ratschlägen stand uns Sheila jederzeit zur Seite, egal ob sie mir und meinen Freundinnen ein gutes Restaurant oder ein schönes Stadtviertel empfahl, mit ihren Tipps lag sie immer goldrichtig! Das Appartment liegt in einer ruhigen, aber dennoch interessanten Gegend, von welcher man, zum Beispiel mit der nahegelegenen U-Bahn, jeden Winkel der Stadt erreichen kann. Wir sagen noch einmal Danke an Sheila und ihre Familie für unseren unvergesslichen Aufenthalt in New York! :)

  Comments: Hervorragende Lage in Manhattan, sehr lebendiges Viertel, in dem man trotzdem ruhig schlafen kann. Unzählige Bars und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe, und wer gern läuft, erreicht alle Klassiker zu Fuß. Wer nicht, findet die nächste Subway Station zwei Straßen weiter.

  Comments: Abbiamo soggiornato nell'appartamento di Sheila e Manny dal 19 al 27 dicembre 2018. L'appartamento è esattamente come si vede dalle foto, la sua localizzazione ottima, nel cuore dell'Est Village, ma in una zona comunque residenziale e tranquilla. C'è tutto e, per chi come noi viaggiava con una bimba piccola, assolutamente un valore aggiunto si è rivelata la disponibilità della lavatrice e dell'asciugatrice. I proprietari sono davvero disponibilissimi: rapidi nelle risposte, pronti a soddisfare le richieste, attenti ai bisogni degli ospiti!

The studio is spacious and clean and has everything you need to have a great stay. There is so much to do in the area within walking distance and other means of transportation are available close by, like the subway. I felt like I was at a close relative's home during my 4-day stay here and will surely try to book again if I should be so lucky as to have the opportunity!
