  Comments: James was very accommodating to special requests. James condo is very nice and comfortable. He thought about everything which someone would want during their stay. Location is very good for Lahania and other locations around Maui. Parking can be an issue though. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on my Maui visits. Thanks

  Comments: James is a very nice host, the apartment is charming, very well decorated and full of delicate details and thoughts, it is very very comfortable and very clean. There are 2 swimming pools on the complex. the city of Lahaina is quite touristic but at a human scale, no big hotels or high rising buildings, you can walk to the main street or to the grocery stores. We have been able to visit most of Maui during our stay and have been inside the volcano crater which I do strongly recommend to anyone visiting the island. you can go in the early morning to the top of the island at 10,000 feet and finish the day at any of the magnificent beaches for a swim and to assist to the always wonderful sunsets.

  Comments: We had a fantastic time in James' apartment. Although we didn't meet him in person, James was very communicative and helpful, and had loads of really useful tips and advice. The location was perfect for using Lahaina as our base for exploring Maui, the place was clean, the air conditioning and shower worked perfectly (both very useful out there!) as did the washer/dryer. A perfect stay on a perfect island.

  Comments: James is an excellent host and you can tell he cares a great deal about his apartment he rents out and for your personal experience on the island. His place is conveniently located right in the heart of Lahaina and is a great central location for all your Maui needs whether you want to chill out in Lahaina or Kaanapali, or make the long trip to Hana or Haleakula (sp?), amongst many other attractions (go to Paia and eat at Mama's Fish House, you won't be disappointed). The Aina Nalu also has two really nice pools if you just feel like chillin around the apartment and some seriously nice staff that are most helpful. We spent a great week here on our honeymoon and I'd recommend his place to anyone coming to the island.

  Comments: The location can not be beaten! Walkable to grocery stores (Foodland & Safeway), art galleries, restaurants, Banyan Tree, ... Great beaches for swimming are within 10 min. driving distance. James is a wonderful host, and communications with him is quick and easy. Kitchen is truly fully equipped, and pools at the complex are great! Two minor downsides are 1. Noise from the complex easily gets in (cars park right outside the bedroom window, and kids run in the hallways) 2. The front desk staff are very rude and uncooperative because they don't get any profits from owners like James. We asked if we could leave one luggage with them for 1 hour, and they said they will charge us $75, and rambled on for 15 minutes on why they'd have to charge a rediculous amount. This brings me to my 3rd minor downside (I know, I said there were 2, because this is apparently everywhere on Maui, and not necessarily Old Lahaina area where James condo is at: It is not safe to leave any belongings in the car. We saw a car with a shattered window on the street in front of the complex, so leaving your luggage in the car if you arrive earlier than check-in time or leave later than check-out time is not wise.

  Comments: James has done a nice job making this a very comfortable unit. Especially the wide variety of condiments. My wife got food poisoning in Seattle on the way over and wanted some apple cider vinegar and turmeric as a natural remedy. Guess what you had it. The proximity to town is very convenient. The grounds are very well kept and the pool and BBQ areas were very nice. Thanks again for a great stay!

  Comments: We enjoyed our stay at this unit! It was a clean and well organized condo and had all the amenities (hair blow drier, shampoo/conditioner/shower gel, picnic basket, beach towels, ice chest, iron, etc.) that we needed. Host was responsive and provided clear and timely response and information on the check-in process and the surrounding area. Fresh flowers greeter our arrival and filled the unit with the perfect island smell. Wish we had same taste in mattress firmness with the owner (we prefer it to be more firm than the unit's airy and pillowie mattress), but we adjusted. Thank you for making it a comfortable stay for us!

  Comments: This place was perfect as it's not to crowded like resorts, it's quiet, and everything is in walking distance. We had a chance to meet James and he told us awesome snorkeling spots. His place left like home instantly, and it was clean and had everything we were needing. We left planning our next trip to stay again!

  Comments: We had a great time staying at the condo. Great location not more than a couple of blocks from ocean front, shopping and restaurants. Condo is in great condition and has everything you need to enjoy your stay including a washer and dryer. We couldn't be more happy to stay there and definitely will again. James's eating and recreational sugestionz were great and helped us enjoy the area even more.

  Comments: Location was perfect for us to walk everywhere we wanted to go in Lahaina. We would drive to beaches during the day and then park back near the condo early to ensure we had a spot on the street. Then in the evenings we walked Front street to find dinner or a massage close by.

  Comments: A compact and stylish condo with basically everything you'd need! We appreciated how close it was to Front Street - where all the action is - without being too close to all the crowds. Communication with the host was frequent and helpful. This unit has jalousie/louvre windows which aren't the best at keeping out noises, like neighbors or groundskeeping crews and their leaf blowers... We had a great stay.

  Comments: Top Three Reasons to Stay at James's Place: -Killer location. It's literally a five minute walk to the beach, grocery stores, and great eateries -Great amenities. Kitchen, washer dryer, dish washer, great bed, and french press. What more do you need? -Great host: James not only made it completely clear how to get into the place, but offered great tips for novice Hawaii-goers. Five stars!

  Comments: James’s place is amazing and he is a fantastic host if I could give more stars I would! Lots of little touches such as the snorkelling gear and 2 sets of beach towels, and tips for things to do made for such a memorable trip. His place is fantastic and it’s location is perfect the harbour is just down the road and so many places to eat, drink and shop nearby and we didn’t drive so was a perfect location. Highly recommend and will be advising all friends and family to stay and looking forward to when we can come back again.

  Comments: I enjoyed my stay. My unit was exactly as advertised. I found the bed especially comfortable. The pool area was nice and relaxing, although busy at times with lots of children. I enjoyed being walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. The complex was much quieter than I expected, given the number of units and guests. I slept well.

  Comments: We LOVED our stay! James’s place was beautiful. The location was fantastic and the apartment was really well appointed. Perfect for family with a 18 month old. Best value in Lahaina! James was so helpful and even came to our rescue when we left an electronic behind! What a prince :) A few highlights were the two pools and pagodas; comfortable living room; fantastic king bed with excellent linens; washer / dryer; sleepy laid back complex. Couple of notes if you’re staying: - Baby Beach is a 15 min walk north! Beautiful, calm waters if you’re there with young kids. Easy to get to with an umbrella stroller! - Local supermarket is an easy walk for essentials. If you’re there for a week it’s worth the trip to Safeway or Costco en route as their produce and options are better. - 1 min walk to the bus. You definitely don’t need a car when staying at Jame’s place. The bus loop to Kaanapali is a 1 min walk. $2 and runs every hour (30 min trip). Try the Hula Grill in Kaanapali - the food is fantastic. - Fab coffee shop 2 min walk from the apartment called Banana Bread and Coffee Co. Great coffee and excellent breakfast sandwiches and wraps. Jame’s place is an exceptional deal and won’t disappoint! Thanks again James :)
