Summary: This is the biggest room in the house. It has 2 windows and 2 doors (one to the living room and one to the hallway). It's very bright and with good air circulation. Besides the bed, guests can rest on a hammock or on the sofa. There are two bathrooms available, both with showers. A big one and a small one. We offer guests a great breakfast with self-made bread, many fruits, yogurt, cereal, jams, different types of cheese, ham and more. It also changes from time to time so you won't get bored!
Space: We live in an old two store house on one of Santa Teresa's hills. Very close to all the bars, restaurants and shops, but still in a quiet street. The tram station is also nearby. Parking is also not a problem, if you come by car you can park it right in front of the house for free.

Neighborhood Overview: Santa Teresa is an unique place in Rio. It's full of charming old houses, has a tram and lot's of street art. It is known as an artistic neighbourhood since many artists have their ateliers here. Santa Teresa is on a hill, so be aware that you will have to walk through some steep streets but as a reward, it offers unique views over the city. It is also very close (walking distance) to Lapa and the city center.
Notes:
Transit: We live close to the tram station, so to visit other parts of Rio we suggest taking the tram (for free) to the subway station in the city center or walking about 15-20 minutes down the hill to get to the closest subway station. Uber is also a cheap and practical option to move through the city.
Access: The house has fast wi-fi internet, a fully-equipped kitchen and a washing machine.
Interaction: We live in the upper floor, that has a separate entrance, but we're available most of the time since we work from home and also prepare and serve the breakfast every day. So if you have any doubts, issue or just want some advice, we're available. We like to give guests space but we are available when needed.

Comments: My girlfriend and I stayed at Ewa's and Davi's house in Santa Teresa, Rio during the new years holiday of 2013/2014. It was a very good experience. Rooms are confortable, wide and clean. The house is also well decorated and breakfast is tasty. It is well located in Santa Teresa (which is my favorite neighborhood of Rio) in a quite street that is close to bars and restaurants (less than 5 minutes walk). I definitely recommend, 5 stars!

Comments: We had a very nice stay in Ewa's house, in the lovely area of Santa Teresa. Welcoming host, comfy house and bedroom, good breakfast. The area is also well connected by bus to other districts of Rio, and 10 mins walking from the vibrant neighborhood of Lapa, full of bars and nice restaurants.

Comments: The house is centrally located in the charming neighborhood of Santa Teresa. From there it is easy and cheap to explore the city's attractions by bus. We felt safe in the area, even if we have came home after sunset. We spent one week at Ewa and Davi’s house and were very warmly welcomed. Both were glad to assist us in any possible way and gave us a lot of helpful informations to the city. Great was as well the small guide, written by Ewa, containing small walking tours through the quarters of Rio. The rooms are located in an old building that has been affectionately renovated by the two. The photos in the profile give a realistic impression of the accomodation. The rooms and the public areas were clean of great amenity value. Convenient for us was the fully equipped kitchen that we could use at any time. The highlight of the day was the excellent breakfast. We could not even make it better. It contained the best home-baked bread, fresh fruit juices, french cheese, fruits, cereals, eggs, ... And even though we were there for one week, some individual components of the breakfast vary, so there was always something new to discover. We would warmly recommend this accommodation to each of our friends and can not wait to come back ourselves.

Comments: My boyfriend and I spent a memorable weekend in Rio, hosted by Ewa. The house and room are gorgeous, located in the beautiful neighborhood of Santa Teresa. The breakfast is full of all good things, like the homemade bread and the fresh fruit juices. We used all the time the small guide printed by Ewa, containing walking tours in every neighborhood of Rio. Hope to be back soon!

Comments: The hosts were the hosts that EVERYONE wants! They responded to messages promptly, made sure that we arrived safely, helped us order tickets for events/sightseeing on websites that were in Portuguese.... they really went beyond the duty of hosts, and I must mention, they are just kind people. The house was awesome...clean, comfortable with a minimalistic and artistic flair. The big shower with the window followed by the perfect latte is the perfect start to anyones morning. The breakfast menu consisted of homemade bread, cheese, hard boiled eggs, meats homemade muesli, yogurt, tropical fruits, juices, pao de quejo...DELICIOUS! When my girlfriend and I go back to Rio, we know exactly where we're going back to stay!

Comments: We arrived early in the morning and were greeted right away by Ewa. She offered us breakfast and a chance to shower even though we had not stayed there the night before. The place looks exactly as it appeared in the photos. The design is perfect and you can tell Ewa and David put a lot of thought into it. David designed and made almost all the furniture in their place. Our room was a good size, had a hammock that we used every day, and two big windows with amazing views. There are two bathrooms, both with brand new fixtures, and great design as well! Breakfast was amazing! It was the best I have had in Brazil. Homemade bread, fruit, meats, cheeses, fresh juices, and other things that kind of vary day to day. Ewa also makes an amazing cup of coffee with steamed milk that she offered to us throughout the day. She also hand made books and maps highlighting cool things to do in Rio De Janeiro and Santa Teresa which we used every day we were there. Her husband David is from Rio and gave us lots of good tips and ideas about what to do as well. This was our first time using Airbnb and weren't quite sure what to expect but were more than satisfied with our stay, in fact, I can't even imagine there being a better place to stay in Rio. We will definitely stay there again! The house is located at the top of a hill in Santa Teresa. It is quite a climb to get there, but that didn't stop us from wanted to go out and do stuff. We walked around the neighborhood quite a bit actually and really enjoyed the location. We felt pretty safe too, which is a big plus. Can't say enough good things about Ewa and David's ace so I will just leave it at that!

Comments: Among our 30 nights in Brazil, the 3 nights at Ewa's place were THE BEST! Firstly- super welcoming and friendly hospitality! The room itself was very clean, inviting and beautifully designed (Ewa and Davi designed and built most of the furniture). Blankets and towels were super comfortable. The Soaps were the best we had in Brazil and we took them with us and used them during the rest of our trip very carefully that they will never end... Every morning- Delicious and NEW brekfast + New collection of Fresh Juices+ Brazilian music "playlisted" by Davi especially for us. Also, Ewa prepared a variety of small tour guides-handbooks with 1 day trip suggestions including maps and places handpicked by her and some of her beautiful photo-artworks the neighborhood is amazing- quiet, friendly and inspiring.

Comments: Beautiful place built with love and the best breakfast in Brazil. Add the trendy area and this Ewa and David's bnb, a gem. We stayed for 5 nights and used it as our base to explore rio. They make sure you have a great stay and have suggested trips for each district and always offer tips. We felt safe in Santa Teresa and enjoyed walking around and the cafés a bit down the street. There is even a bus that goes by that you can take to the base of the Christ statue mountain and walk up yourself. They've built out the entire place themselves with four rooms for guests and have done a great job. The pictures do a good job showing you ;) Highly recommend and hope we can come back.

Comments: Ewa and Davi have just the perfect place in Santa Teresa. We felt very welcome and for us this was the ideal place with a feeling between a B&B and staying with family or friends. Every morning a delicious breakfast with a huge variety of food and drinks was served; the perfect start of a day! Too bad they could't arrange better weather, but as they provided umbrella's they made us make the most of it! We'll definately come back to these great hosts.

Comments: We went for a long weekend in Rio from Sao Paulo and got the chance to meet Ewa and his husband, in their home, which they restaured by themselves. They are charming and very helpful - they even gave us a ride to see the Christ Corcovado. The home and room are very clean - and the breakfast is just MARAVILHOSO - home made bread and juices, all kind of cheese and dried meat, fruits... all that is needed for a fresh start in the morning! It was safe to go around and visit the area of Santa Teresa, full of nice bars, restaurants and old historical houses. If I had to go to Rio, I'll definitely recommand it!

Comments: I have only great things to say about Ewa and Davi’s BnB. I stayed a full week while doing some research in Rio, and Ewa and Davi were very helpful and fantastic hosts. They are restoring a circa-1918 house in Santa Teresa, which is an artsy neighbourhood with several bars and interesting restaurants. If you love historical Brazilian/Portuguese architecture as I do, you will feel in heaven. I really enjoyed wandering the streets nearby, and there are some excellent views overlooking the city. What’s more, as other guests have noted, the included breakfast is fantastic. It includes home-made rolls, fresh juice and good coffee, tons of fruit, pao de queijo and other items. Ewa makes sure to add some variety if you are staying for longer than a few days. Ewa and Davi were happy to offer suggestions, practical advice, and any assistance really, during my stay. Ewa has produced her own mini-guides that list suggestions of sites in several of Rio’s neighbourhoods. They are doing a nice job with restoring the house, and each of the rooms look comfortable. The large living room is also inviting. I have used AirBnB in several different cities, and this has been my best experience. I would like to come for another visit!

Comments: Ewa's place was great! My boyfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves. We'd definitely recommend staying here and getting to know their pet cat, "El Nino"! We opted out of the breakfast because we had seen some interesting restaurants the day before. The morning we tried to go find these restaurants they were all closed! So we'd also recommend Ewa's breakfast accommodations.

Comments: We loved our stay in Santa Teresa at Ewa's place. It was extremely clean and cool. Wonderful, big shower with lots of pressure. Lovely, fresh, plentiful breakfasts. Very comfortable beds that they made with recycled timber from their own place. Ewa and her partner David were extremely helpful, showing us good places to go around Rio (Ewa has even made her own handmade travel guides). We needed to get a taxi to the airport during the first game of the World Cup - it was difficult as every taxi driver in the city was watching the game! David kept calling and calling until one came. Thanks for making our stay in Rio so comfortable.

Comments: Our stay at Ewa's place was great, the neighborhood was nice and will give you a workout too. It's an old area with lots of historic features and not far from all the great places in the city. The breakfast that Ewa and her boyfriend prepared every morning was delicious and extremely fresh.

Comments: Ewa and her boyfriend have a beautiful home that they take great care of. The breakfast is excellent (homemade bread!) and though the neighborhood is a bit of a hike from the beaches or Sugarloaf, it was our favorite area in Rio with amazing views and lots to see/do. I am an old lady at heart so it was also nice to get away from the chaos of the touristy parts at the end of each night. Having said that, Santa Teresa has a good nightlife scene as well :) You will be staying with very kind and helpful hosts (plus the most charming cat). Ewa also has little guidebooks for different areas around Rio with recommendations and public transportation info - we used one for Urca and it was awesome. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Comments: Ewa and David were lovely hosts. Their house in Santa Teresa is just as beatiful as he pictures make it seem -- and the breakfast is even better! The house is located within walking distance to many fine restaurants, Lapa, Centro, and a host of museums. We enjoyed the heck out of our stay.

Comments: I really enjoyed staying at Ewa and David's house. Their house is incredible, beautifully renovated and the area of Santa Teresa has a lot of history and is a great place to wander around, worth visiting some of the local bars and restaurants. Ewa and David were super welcoming and laid back, spent time giving me recommendations and suggestions for how to spend my last day, with the help of their printed guides to various areas. Ewa made a delicious breakfast spread that I didn't want to leave and we chatted while I ate so I got to know Ewa a little. I would highly recommend staying with Ewa and David and I will definitely be going back when I return to Rio.

Comments: Ewa's place in Santa Teresa is absolutely lovely! Even though we booked at the last minute and also had last minute changes to our check-in time, Davi and Ewa were extremely flexible. We were even greeted with juice and cake! Davi was extremely helpful with our day to day plans as well, helping us with taxis and giving us brochures for the different neighbourhoods in the city. Our short stay was full of unexpected obstacles, but Davi and this location made our visit extremely enjoyable. The breakfast itself is worth the rent, especially if you love cheese! I would highly recommend this place to everyone who wants a taste of Rio!

Comments: The room was great - exactly as pictured, with a cute hammock and couch for hanging out! The decor around the house was also super cool. Davi was there to greet me as I arrived, and had towels and soaps all laid out in the room. He also was extremely helpful with finding me a cab to the airport when it came time to leave -- he woke up early so he could make sure the car came! The breakfast is really great -- fresh bread, cheeses, cold cuts, fruits, juice and coffee! Santa Teresa is a cute neighborhood, and the house is only steps away from Armazem Sao Thiago, which is a great neighborhood hang out.

Comments: We had an amazing stay at Ewa's place! The house is situated in a perfect area of Rio, central enough to reach anything you want to see of the city during the day, and in a perfect neighborhood at night for bars & restos... Ewa and her boyfriend made of that house an amazing place, fully renovated with taste. You'll have the chance to take every morning a (huge) breakfast with both of them while they will give you all the tips you need to travel the city. Also Ewa made all those little books & maps to help you finding your way ect... A service you wouldn't have in any fancy hotels :-) Visit them and enjoy Rio !

Comments: We can't say if it was the simple yet stylish & clean bedroom, the perfect breakfast or the gentle welcome of our hosts that made us feel at home instantly, but we'd surely recommend this place to anyone looking for a very good value for money. Santa Teresa might not be close to the beach, but it's a lovely little part of Rio with a few hidden gems to eat or drink at night. The house is a steep walk up but on the other hand, there's not a lot of traffic which makes it pretty calm. Definitely a good choice!

Comments: I’d been in Brazil for about a week and a half, traveling around Rio state, before coming to Rio to spend the end of my two week trip there. I chose Ewa’s place based mainly on the beautiful pictures of the place (image culture forever) on the airbnb website. I want to talk about a few things in this review: 1) Santa Teresa (aka, Ewa’s neighborhood), 2) the House (capitalized!), 3) Ewa and Davie. 1) Santa Teresa. Different people who'd been recommended staying here, even though it’s much closer to the city center (Centro) than it is to Ipanema/Copacabana. It’s a beautiful neighborhood and there are small shops, restaurants, galleries, and bars, but people LIVE there, making it vibrant. It’s also VERY hilly and walking around in that neighborhood gives you a new appreciation for what I imagine taking walks in the (US) Midwest is like. But the views! Every corner there’s a new one, there’s wall-art everywhere, houses are gorgeous. Gloria is (I believe) the closest metro station and it’s a little bit of a hike ~25 minutes of leisurely walk and uphill on the way back. It’s also kind of easy to get lost because the roads turn into different roads, double back on themselves, and just in general, hilly terrain isn’t the easiest for finding your way. That being said, getting there and away was always an adventure in map-reading and you develop a feel for the directions VERY quickly (because you have to), which feels like what exploring other places is supposed to feel like. Loved Santa. 2) the House. OMG THE HOUSE. It’s so beautiful, Ewa and Davie have spent so much care and time on decoration and design. The place is one of the most beautiful, thoughtful living spaces I’ve ever seen. Sounds like hyperbole. Isn’t. Both of them MADE (WITH THEIR HANDS!) the tables in the common/kitchen/living space, and Davie taught me a lot about the different types of brazilian wood (there are so many). Oh and he made the beautiful bed frames. The love that went into this place is palpable and makes the house an above and beyond great place to stay. Hammocks and fans in every room, but no AC. Not a deal breaker, just good knowledge to have going to Rio (say, if you’re sensitive and can’t sleep if the ambient temperature isn’t down to your needs). 3) Ewa and Davie. So friendly, so helpful, made delicious, delicious breakfast (freshly baked bread!?). Told us lots of stories, gave us advice when we needed it, were hands-off when we wanted to fly free or just pass out in our room hammock. Basically, the perfect hosts. We weren’t the only guests while we were staying there (they have several rooms on airbnb) and that was awesome too. We chatted with the travelers over coffee at beautiful tables hand-made out of reclaimed brazilian wood. It didn’t get much better than staying with them, I’d love to do it again!

Comments: Staying at Ewa and Davi's house feels like having the chance to enter someone's dream made concrete by their own hands - literally, including the tables and the photo+illustration frames. For all that they have used 'pinho de riga', a kind of wood that is rare to find nowadays in Brasil, but of which there was plenty in the original structure of this house. The windows restoration is quite impressive, and I feel that like that, with no painting, showing their simply beautiful veins, they get to be prettier that ever - and also make a good symbol of the concept there seems do be behind every decision made to make this house rebirth. During our 3 days we had the sensation that Santa Teresa is a good travel destiny on its own, and spending some night and days just there could be refreshing even for a carioca.

Comments: Ewa and Davi were the most wonderful hosts. When we arrived a lot later than expected on Friday night trying to figure out the address in the dark, Ewa came out onto the street and welcomed us. She offered us water and cake, we really felt right at home. The breakfast in the morning was everything we could have asked for - fresh juices, coffee, home made bread, cheeses, fruit, cereal, yogurt... amazing. Right away, Ewa was very friendly and extremely helpful with her advice. She has made special brochures for every neighbourhood in Rio worth visiting with personal recommendations of places to check out, eat at, etc. We ended up using them on daily basis and they sure came in handy. The house is a colonial jewel, bright, clean and spacious rooms with a touch of contemporary design. So pleasant to chill at, it must have been one of the reasons we had really long breakfasts. The location -Santa Teresa is a true find for anyone with appreciation of art and architecture. There is a myriad of local shops, bars and restaurants around that are really worth checking out, during the day and in the evening. We originally booked for five nights as we thought it'll be sufficient for Rio, but then we liked it so much we stayed five extra nights. Ewa and Davi's home and company was definitely part of the amazing vacation feel, and I'm really thankful to them. They truly care about their guests having a great time and leaving with the best impression and memories of their magnificent city.

She was really kind with us, explaining us different routes in Rio, best places to have delicious Brazilian plates or which buses to take to move all over the city. In addition, the breakfast she prepared was delicious and with many different choices. The house is a dream, very nice, so good taste in there. Natural light and a nice gift she leaves a soap with the towel. Thanks, Ewa!

Comments: My partner and I stayed one night with Ewa - we wished we could have stayed longer. Ewa is a wonderful host and the accommodation is absolutely stunning. The accommodation is in a renovated colonial building where you feel homy within seconds. Ewa and her partner created a piece of art within that building and we would have moved into their place right away as it was that beautiful. They are also very good in giving advise on where to go, which areas to explore and which restaurants, cafes, museums etc to visit. In the morning, Ewa prepares wonderful breakfast with self-made fresh bread rolls, fresh juice, yoghurt, eggs and everything one could hope for - honestly the best breakfast we had in a long time. Santa Teresa itself is a beautiful suburb of Rio de Janeiro, with nice little cafes, restaurants and bars. There is loads of graffiti art, colonial buildings and beautiful gardens to explore. The view of the city is amazing and the suburb is a nice change to the more traditional and more touristy attractions in Rio. If you are looking for a beautiful accommodation in a funky suburb in Rio don't look any further!

It's close to many famous restaurants and a big supermarket. 10 mins walk to metro and connect with beach easily. We stayed there for 9 nights and could say the breakfast itself was worth the stay. Eva and Davie are wonderful host. They gave us great advice and provided helpful guild book by area. During New Year's Eve, they even gave us a ride to subway station. Strongly recommend!!! You have to stay here to try the Great Breakfast! You have to stay here to experience the REAL Rio!

Comments: We had an excellent stay, you made us feel so welcome. We would definitely recommend your place, excellent breakfast, juices, nice bathroom, hammocks and above all very friendly and helpful hosts :-). Thank you very much to you both, we really enjoyed meeting you. Ewa thanks also for guides to each area which really helped us navigate and see the variety Rio has to offer! There are also several rooms so if you are travelling with a small group and want separate rooms this would be a great option.

Comments: We had a great stay with Ewa. We booked for one night but would have loved to have been able to stay longer. The area of Santa Theresa is very cool, arty, pretty and several nice cafes /bars/restaurants. It is definitely one our favourite areas in Rio that we have visited. The house is beautiful, open space, high ceilings and offers great value for money. Ewa herself is very friendly and helpful with tips and guides of what to do. The breakfast lived up to other peoples reviews and was incredible too! We would definitely recommend staying here.

Comments: What a great find this was for me. I arrived relatively late but was made to feel most welcome in minutes. This is a great place to stay with an interesting drive to get there. Eva is a brilliant host and given local knowledge I manged to make the most of my few hours in Rio. It is a lot easier being given tips on how to get around by those who know rather than looking though the pages of lonely planet. The room was spacious, clean and with 2 bathroom options. I love a good breakfast and this was exceptional. I will definitely be back if I get another chance to visit Rio. I enjoyed the rides on the back of motorbike taxi's, the bar at the end of the road and the fact that Ronnie Biggs used to live around the corner.

Comments: The place is great! The location, the house itself and mostly the owners, Ewa and David. Santa Tereza is a totally different Rio de Janeiro. Nice place to walk arround and great restaurants, for every pocket! You are far away from the beaches, but very close to the cultural life. Right now there is big construction going on there (the rails are being changed) but it means a little discomfort. There are great views of the city and many hidden surprises! I would come back!

Comments: We loved staying in Ewa’s bed-and-breakfast in Santa Teresa. Ewa and her husband were ideal hosts: friendly, attentive, accessible, and flexible. They have a series of homemade brochures/guidebooks for their guests and were always ready to answer our questions or provide us with suggestions. The bedroom was beautiful and has a side door that leads to the main bathroom. The common space feels homey, while also maintaining the cleanliness of a well-run bed-and-breakfast. The breakfast is everything we could ask for and more. I would strongly recommend this for anyone looking to stay in Santa Teresa. Whether you stay for a night or for a week, this is a great location and fun place to be.

Comments: We had a wonderful stay at Ewa's in Rio! The room was just as described in the pictures: very clean and cozy with lovely decor, clean towels and fresh bars of soap, and even a hammock! The living room/common space is also very inviting and we felt very comfortable. The Santa Teresa neighborhood is quaint and walkable, and this particular street is pleasantly quiet even though it's close to casual neighborhood bars and good restaurants. Ewa's breakfast was definitely a highlight, not to be missed! Would have loved to stay longer and would come back in a heartbeat.

Das Frühstück war der Hammer: Jeden Tag frische Weckle, frisches Obst, selbstgemachter Fruchtjoghurt, Wurst, Käse... Kurzum: Alles was das Herz begehrt. We highly recommend this place!!!

Comments: The listing description reflected very much the reality of the place. Clean, well kept and cosy. It is placed in one of the nicest neighbourhoods in Rio. We always felt safe and there are some places where to eat and drink that are worth to visit. Pay a visit to Cultivar Brasil for a refreshing Açai and granola, or to Rustico restaurant for dinner (one in front of the other). The overall experience was great, the host was really kind, ready to help and offer advices, the breakfast was super-healthy and delicious. 5 deserved star. The place was beautiful and my room was perfect. And the breakfast she made every morning was delicious! Best way to start my day. And the breakfast is amazing. Her place is charming, decorated with taste and very welcoming. Santa Teresa was by far our favorite neighborhood in Rio with its steep and winding streets, the old tram and the views of the city. She answered on time and gave us directions to her place. Once there, we were greeted with fresh pineapple juice and Ewa handed us a selection of personalized Rio maps that helped us to find hidden gems of the city. In the evening we found a fresh baked cake, which was a little taster for what followed the next day. Forget mediocre hotel breakfasts, Ewa's place is breakfast heaven. the pictures dont lie. Comments: We've stayed in many great air bnbs but Ewa's place is our best-ever air bnb experience, and we can't recommend her wonderful home and her amazing hospitality highly enough. Where to start?! The house is in Santa Teresa, a beautiful and bohemian enclave of Rio on a hill overlooking Centro and Lapa (near to all of the samba bars and clubs). Exploring the neighbourhood was fantastic and it's close to the famous Santa Teresa tram (bonde). Ewa's place itself is a beautiful converted townhouse, with designer touches throughout. Amazing ceramic tiles, cool furniture and light fittings with Ewa's own photography on the wall. She lives upstairs so is always available but also gives you space if you need it. Ewa was super helpful throughout; she's designed and printed her own guides to each area of Rio which were a great local's way of exploring the city. She kindly did some laundry for us at no extra cost and printed off bus tickets. Nothing was too much trouble! The room was clean and comfortable with a hammock and pretty wooden shutters. There's a fan which made sleeping no problem. And then there's the breakfast! Truly unbelievable. Each morning Ewa would put out freshly baked homemade bread, cured meats, cheeses, fresh fruit and yoghurt with coffee and homemade juice. It saved us a lot of money and was truly delicious! As you can tell I could gush about this place all day. The touristy areas of Ipanema and Copacabana are full of faceless tower blocks; staying here will give you a real taste of old Rio at a very reasonable price.

Comments: Ewa & David were excellent hosts, sharing their beautiful, quaint home in the heart of Santa Teresa, Rio. They provided some great tips of what to do in the different neighbourhoods of Rio & even a cleverly self-designed intro package (tips, maps, etc) upon arrival. I'd definitely recommend their place for a short stay in Rio & would return myself in future. One thing to note is that Santa Teresa is a bit removed from the rest of Rio. But UBER & the close proximity of a taxi rank & public transport negate this fact.

Comments: If you want a truly fabulous intro to Rio culture then stay here! So impressed with everything that Ewa and Davi had to offer us. Their beautiful home is located in Santa Teresa an area full of old architecture, character, art and culture. The room was spacious, well ventilated, clean and comfortable. Ewa prepared the most amazing breakfasts which were fresh, tropical, broad in range and with alot of thought. There is alot of space in this floor with Ewas own personal styling touch. We thought Ewa was very attentive to our needs, she had great knowledge of different areas within Rio and we were impressed by the suggestions of fabulous places to eat and go that were not touristic. Ewa and Davi are welcoming and also respectful of our privacy. Thanks for an awesome week, we highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Comments: We stayed at Ewa's place for 4 nights. It was a perfect spot up in the trendy spot of Santa Teresa with close proximity to bars and restaurants. The breakfast was fantastic every morning (the bread especially). Ewa is very thoughtful, friendly and accommodating to every need. We'd 100% recommend this place and look forward to returning soon. Thanks Ewa!

Comments: This was one of the best Airbnb’s I have stayed at to date. Everything from the communication to the thoughtful touches was superb. Ewa has such great taste and the house is designed with style. Aside from the aesthetics (which were incredible), the location was fabulous. Santa teresa was my favourite neighbourhood. Whenever I left the area, Ewa provided me with wonderful maps and recommendations. Finally, the breakfast was the best I had had the whole time I was in South America. I’d love to return here and will convince my parents to stay here when they visit Rio! Thanks Ewa.

Comments: Ewa is a thoughtful and generous host and her guesthouse is in a charming part of the city. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, and providing you are aware you'll be sharing a bathroom (there are 2) and managing without aircon, the breakfast with home-made bread, fresh fruit and good coffee will ensure you have a great stay here.
