  Comments: The north shore location is awesome. A perfect spot to getaway and just relax. The loft was nice, and more than enough room for the 2 of us. There's a W/D and BBQ outside downstairs, and Dish TV. There's no WiFi, but someone in the neighborhood has an unsecured router.

  Comments: The Northshore Loft is near to the sunset beach, where you can watch the surfers. It was the perfect start of our Hawaii holidays! The house is in the death end of a small street and you feel you like a inhabitant! The loft was clean, with beach towels and snorkelling equipment.

  Comments: The loft was very nicely furnished, and Rainey had stocked our refrigerator with some bagels and juice:) The kitchen worked well for us in that we cooked most of our meals. The location was good relative to the beautiful beaches of the North Shore. The only problem had to do with the internet and the DVD/player TV, for some reason they worked for only one day out of the 5 days we were there. The loft upstairs has a very low ceiling and I bumped my head too many times.

  Comments: We had a great time at Rainey's on the North Shore. Located perfectly, away from the hustle and bustle, but still conventiently close to grocery stores, Starbucks and food ( about a 5 min drive). The place was clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. All kitchen utensils, including toaster, microwave, coffee maker, blender etc are provided. There were also bath towels / beach towels and snorkel gear. The beds are comfortable. The washroom could use a little updating, but overall the house was great! Unfortunately the Internet wasn't working during our stay, but if that's not an issue for you I would definitely recommend staying here! We had an amazing time! The beaches are gorgeous and not too "touristy". Thanks Rainey for making our stay so pleasant!!

The lodge was very nice and very central in the north shore, quite a drive though to the main central centre of Waikiki.   Comments: a pleasant stay--great location and beach within short walking distance. check-in was very smooth. with two beds and a futon (although it's more just a futon mattress than a futon since the frame is broken) it'll sleep a lot of people!! rainey was also super accommodating with a later checkout. minor and may not matter to most people, but from a home maker's perspective, the house didn't feel quite lived-in. kitchen was stocked with utensils but without any condiments, and it was a little dusty in places. but all in all, a great hassle-free stay.

Raineys place was perfect, peaceful and a pretty good bargain.The Place was very clean and Organized.Great beds, pillows and blankets, no problem with the low ceiling upstairs, as I have lived in a loft very similar for quite some time. next time I hope to stay longer, maybe we might actually get to say hello to our host .

  Comments: The loft is in a perfect position, just a couple of minutes walk to the fabulous beach, and close to the bakery and supermarket. It was well equipped and comfortable, but I think that it would be a good idea to replace the futon frame! Rainey responded quickly to our emails and calls, and was very helpful. The fresh fruit left for our arrival was a nice touch.

  Comments: the North Shore apartment was great. Beds are comfortable & the Location is the best on the island, at least for our needs. And we really loved that small sandwich oven! We wish, we had stayed there for the rest of the trip and not switched to Honolulu. We directly came back to the north today and are planning to do the same tomorrow again. Not everybody might rate the apartment with 5 stars, but for us it was just perfect, comfy and convenient! Anyway, thanks for these great two days.

  Comments: We stayed at Raineys Place at North Shore for 7 nights and it was just great. it was four of us and the house was just perfect. everything we needed was there. its a great neighborhood and a real short walk to the beach, the Stay was very comfortable. The closest town is Haleiwa which is a surfers paradise with the famous Sunset Beach and Pipeline.Oahu’s North Shore means one thing: surfing! World-famous Waimea Bay and the Banzai Pipeline are sacred sites to surfers the world over, and some big-name surfing contests are held here. Several restaurants, a couple of markets and farmers markets, good coffee at the Coffee Gallery, and plenty of shopping. We can recommend it to everybody who wants to go on a unforgetable vacation .   Comments: Had an amazing week long stay! We traveled with 3 adults and 1 child. Loft is quite spacious and has all the kitchen utensils you need to cook your own food. There is a grocery store right down the street to pick everything up. Beach is steps away from the property. Parking space on site keeps things simple, no need to look for street parking. Fresh basket of fruit upon arrival was a great touch. Boards and Snorkeling gear are all available in the little backyard under the loft (BBQ and Washer/Dryer are also located here). WiFi is also fairly quick, 2 of us were able to work remotely for a couple hours each day. It was my first trip to Oahu and first time using airbnb, I was a little nervous at how it would pan out. I read the previous reviews and went for it. Everything went perfect, felt like we were at our own home. Would def stay here again for a future trip. Rainey has thought of everything you would need for a comfortable stay.

  Comments: Our group of three stayed at Rainey's loft for 7 nights while attending a friend's North Shore wedding. The loft was very comfortable, conveniently located just a short walk from the beach, and had loads of amenities (wifi, beach towels, snorkel gear, cooking and grilling equipment). Foodland is a short drive away so you can stock up on groceries. Would definitely stay here again!

  Comments: Great place to stay and amazing location! Have a friend living in turtle bay and wanted to stay close and this location was perfect. Only a 2 min walk to a beautiful secluded beach area and house had plenty of room and loved the full kitchen. Also has a great terrace out front and being on the 2nd floor you get great sunsets. Ceilings are pretty low upstairs in the loft/bedroom but wasn't much of an issue. All and all a great place and excellent value! Will definitely return.

  Comments: We had a terrific stay on the North Shore at Rainey's place. The house is snug for 2 parents and 2 kids but we never felt cramped. We felt welcomed by Rainey and the fruit bowl we found when we arrived and never had a reason to contact Rainey during our week in the house. Our favorite kid beach ended up being a little drive north - Hukilau - and we loved the drive from this part of the island to Kaneohe. Rainey was especially gracious when we were confused about our timing and late in checking out. Rainey's aloha spirit was abundant and we were grateful. Our vacation was restorative and super fun and this house was perfect for our paired down needs.

  Comments: Me and my family stayed in mid July and absolutely loved it! Very clean and well kept space, the surrounding neighbors were very gracious and friendly. The beach was beautiful and very accessible! The location is perfect if you really want to connect with island living, a bit of a drive to the other side but can't beat the views on the drive! The condo was a little smaller than expected but still worth it! Our two teenagers stayed upstairs in the loft and my husband and I used the sofa bed, would definitely recommend to friends and family...hoping to return and possibly stay again soon!

  Comments: North shore loft was excellent! Downside was there were no places to eat out for dinner in the vicinity. Made a short trip by car further north and found a few places which we liked. Rainey was thoughtful and provided beach towels and some fruit upon arrival. Everything in the loft was easy to handle. Fullt equipped kitchen and good beds. Would recommend this place to anyone who likes to hang out at the beach or go on daytrips around north shore. Lots of surfers in the water but as Rainey said there was also a spot that was calm so we could bath with our kids. We had a good stay!

  Comments: So glad we decided to escape the madness of Waikiki and Honolulu and head to the North Shore instead. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rainey's loft and even though we didn't meet her, communication and check in was hassle free and smooth. The loft is well appointed and amazingly close to the beach. Beach mats, snorkel gear and boogie boards provided was a big plus. Low roof in the upstairs bedroom but didn't really worry us. A tight spiral staircase up to the bedrooms - fun for the kids but not for those lacking mobility!! Highly recommended stay for anyone contemplating a visit. Thanks for sharing your loft Rainey!!

The beaches right around the house are awesome for swimming, surfing and laying out. Plenty of empty beach space to be found. The house itself is great. The neighborhood is quiet day and night. Rainey was extremely helpful and made arrival super easy.

  Comments: The Loft is spartan, but clean and sunny. You can't beat the location, just a few minutes to the lovely town of Haleiwa or to the Turtle Bay Resort, and a block from the beach. If you're tall (like me) watch your head upstairs. The sleeping area is fairly low, and there is a beam running through the middle of it. You'll enjoy bringing your loved ones to the North Shore of Oahu, and the Loft is a solid choice to stay in.

  Comments: Rainey's Loft was just perfect for us. Having the two areas for our family of four gave us the space we needed. The Loft was well equipped and very comfortable. All four of us love to surf and the easy 200 m walk to Freddy Land and Velzy Land made surfing easy, we didn't need to get into the car. Sunset Beach, Pipeline and Foodland store were all an easy bike ride away. Rainey and Hector were excellent hosts. We look forward to staying at Rainey's Loft again in the future.

She is a great host - the Loft is ideally located at the beautiufl north shore, just a few minutes from the beach, close to a great jogging path leading to all those big wave spots and very important to Ted's bakery - only 4 streets away. You can great breakfast, sweets, lunches/dinners and the famous chocolate cream pies. The loft is actually a free standing little house, has all the amenities including a small balcony. The house was super clean and is an ideal set-up. We enjoyed using the snorkeling gear and boogie boards - brief, we had a great time at Rainey's North Shore loft and would go back any time.

  Comments: We had a wonderful time visiting the North Shore and could not ask for a better location and host. All the nice beaches are nearby! The condo itself was very clean and spacious and is definitely well maintained. All the amenities were great and Rainey was kind enough to welcome us with a fresh bowl of fruit! She is also very attentive to her guests and will happily answer any questions. One of my favorite things about staying here was that we were free to use the beach supplies (snorkels, fins, boogie boards, etc...)!

  Comments: We loved staying in Rainey's North Shore Loft! The location is excellent, and it's in a nice, quiet neighborhood 2 blocks from great beaches. The loft was clean and comfortable - with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the basket of fruit on arrival - what a treat! We also used the washer and dryer and gas grill just downstairs from the unit. If you stay here, you really should make sure to hit Ted's Bakery (just 4 blocks away) at least once. The pastries and pies are fantastic. The only warning - watch your head in the loft bedroom (and try not to sleepwalk). The ceiling is low (as others have noted) - but we didn't have any issues - you learn quickly. ;-) Lastly, Rainey was a wonderful host - pointing us to several great beaches, hikes and restaurants (Luibueno's was fantastic - thanks Rainey!). We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when we come back to the North Shore!

We took full advantage of the proximity to V land & Teds Bakery.   Comments: Great location on the North shore. Be sure to use the beach and to visit Ted's. Cozy place with all the gear you'll need. Narrow staircase to the sleeping loft for those with big luggage or physical limitations. Rainey is very responsive and great.

  Comments: We arrived late at night to Rainey's abode, but her directions were great and got us there just fine. Rainey communicated very well and we had no questions, she was proactive in letting us know everything we needed to. We honestly did not spend much time at the house because we were off adventuring during the day, but it was always nice to come "home" to this cozy place. She even left a bow of local fruit on the door step when we got back from the beach. As for cooking, there were plenty of utensils/plates/pots/pans for us to use AND she even had basic condiments in the fridge, which I thought was grand. We ended up leaving a bottle of champagne in the fridge because we ran out of time to drink it haha, so whoever was after us I hope you enjoyed it! Thanks for the place, Rainey.

  Comments: Rainey's beach house was a great place to stay and was surprisingly able to accommodate 6 people (although there are only individual beds for 5). The beach across the street is quite nice and not crowded at all, Banzai pipeline is just down the road and there are several places to eat by the Food Land north of Waimea bay, I highly recommend the thai food at the Elephant Truck! Would definitely recommend this house for someone looking for a place to stay on the North Shore for a few nights.

  Comments: Rainey is a great host, very responsive, very helpful and made herself available for anything we needed. The place was very quiet, comfortable and had what we needed. It was loa relaxing street, with walking access to the beach, maybe a 5-10min walk. You'll probably want a car if you stay here so you can get around the island. Although you *can* get by without there is very little to eat or do nearby other than walk down to one of the local beaches. My only *very minor* gripe is that the description somehow gave me the impression that this place was right on the beach, and that you could sit and watch the waves from the balcony. This isn't the case as the house is set and the end of a street a couple of blocks from the beach. Otherwise everything was great!

  Comments: We had a great time at this place. We were right across from the water, in walking distance to Ted's, and away from all the tourists. We loved sleeping with the windows open with the beautiful north shore breezes and the sound of the birds in the morning. Rainey was so quiet that we never knew she was there. The bed was comfortable and the rooms are all well equipped with fans, making it all very comfortable.

  Comments: After our previous Airbnb experience, in a beautiful home in Nuuanu Valley, Rainey's place felt like something of a disappointment, initially. Here, you are clearly paying for location and not for the quality of the home itself, which is a very modest 70s/80s-era structure. That said, the place was true to its locale and, after realizing how close it was to walk to Ted's Bakery and Sunset Beach, we enjoyed our stay. We definitely prefer to be closer to windward side / Kahuku so, again, location is good. The beach photo in the ad is a bit misleading though - this home is not on the beach - but is a relatively short walk away down the street, across Kam Hwy, and through a public access lane. So, while not luxurious, it's a clean, relaxing place, near some of the most beautiful beaches on Oahu, and close to good food at Ted's (and the fabulous Brazilian food truck down the road AND Fiji market in Kahuku).

  Comments: It's all about location here... Within walking distance to Sunset Beach, Ted's Bakery etc., Rainey's place is exactly as shown in the pictures, clean enough and in a nice local neighbourhood. Small balcony overlooking the neighborhood, but you can spot the ocean from the upper bedroom. (Watch your head when coming up there at night ;) ). We needed all of the fans as it was REALLY hot in September. We didn't meet Rainey in person but she was helpful via Email. Thanks a lot!

Planning our trip and coordinating with Rainey was very easy and her responses were very timely. Checkin and checkout was simple and went smoothly. The home was clean, comfortable and in a great location and was as shown in the listing pictures. The beds in the loft were comfortable with views of the ocean down the street. The small deck allowed for a nice place to relax and chill after hot days on the great north shore beaches. A nice small kitchen and onsite waher and dryer made it very convenient . A short walk to the beautiful Velzy Land beach, we stayed on week days and enjoyed a nearly private beach experience. A short walk to Ted's bakery where we enjoyed nice local plate lunch meals and fabulous pies especially liked those Macadamia nutcream pies. Short drives to the fabulous North shore beaches : sunset, pupukea, Waimea Bay and the turtle bay resort and Kahuku shrimp trucks makes it a perfect spot for a north shore getaway.

  Comments: The North Shore Loft was exactly as described. Rainey left special touches for us like crackers and jam from Ted's Bakery, fruit, and macadamia nuts. There were Christmas lights on the circular stairway to the loft. Shampoo and conditioner in the shower with lots of other little extras. The stairway can be a little daunting in the dark but there were plenty of night lights to make it comfortable. Since we were there only one night and the weather was a bit stormy, we weren't able to use the beach equipment available to us. Next time! Overall, we had a lovely stay.

  Comments: It is hard for us to make a review of this place, since it has all to be perfect, yet it is not. Location wise is fantastic, steps away from a beautiful beach, quiet area, easy access. However, the loft itself is not in the greatest conditions, cleanness was very poor and yes it does have beach towels, snorkeling equipment and some nice books to read. We barely saw the owner, in fact the only time I saw her was when my husband insisted on going to knock her door to greet her after being there already 2 days. Nevertheless, she was very kind to us by allowing us a late check-out when my husband requested it.

  Comments: My husband and I arrived late at night, so Rainey could not be there, but she gave us precise instructions on how to get to the place, and how to find the keys. The place was ready for us when we arrived, and she had left an impressive list of notes on how to find our way around the house, the neighbourhood and beyond. The place is quite impressive, it is a very roomy loft with a direct view on the waves (from the upper level). It is about 100m from the beach, in a very quiet and safe area. We were mostly here for the sea and the waves, and this place turned out to be perfect for us. There is no better motivation to get up in the morning than to hear/see the crashing waves in the distance (it has been difficult to sleep without them since we came back home). It could easily accommodate 6 persons, although we wouldn't recommend it for more than 4 if privacy is an issue (it is a loft after all). Rainey was a very nice and thoughtful host. We are a young couple, so she respected our privacy, yet she made herself available when we asked to meet her to thank her in person. We would definitely recommend the North Shore Loft for a visit to one of (if not THE) most impressive surf spot on the planet!

  Comments: The North shore loft was an excellent choice for our family's first vacation. It's located away from the hustle and bustle of busy Waikiki with a beautiful beach just a short walk away. We loved the location. The loft was equipped with enough stuff for us to feel comfortable there. We were able to wake up, make some coffee and breakfast and plan our day instead of getting up and going to find a good place to eat. That was helpful since we have little ones. Being from Alaska, we don't have to worry about bugs too much so I was nervous about being in a tropical climate. We were very pleased that we didn't have to deal with bugs in the loft either. It's a fantastic location from which to walk to stunning Sunset Beach and/or to watch the surfers at Banzai Pipeline, and the neighborhood is quiet. Rainey was great to deal with - wrote back to all communications right away and had everything set up nicely.   Comments: We enjoyed our week at the North Shore Loft--the space was clean, the neighborhood was very quiet, there is a dedicated parking spot, and there are some items in the bathroom and kitchen just in case you forgot anything. I really appreciated that coffee and filters were there! The only drawback was that I had trouble opening the lockbox when I arrived, but to be fair, I was exhausted and it was dark, so that might have been pilot error. Being able to walk across the street to the beach was amazing as was being able to see the waves from bed.

The house is pretty centrally located (in north shore terms) and it was really easy to get around. The local food trucks are great and the beaches are super nice and super close. Ted's Bakery is a must (5 min walk). The house was really clean and comfortable, it had a ton of extra stuff we didn't even have time to play with. This was the tail end of our trip and really put the icing on the cake. Great times, great place.

  Comments: Rainey's lovely loft on the north shore is a short walk from an awesome surfing beach located in paradise....i mean O'ahu. Just up the street from the world famous Waimea bay, the vibe here is mellow, and very family friendly. The upstairs loft bed area was a lot of fun for our two young boys, and the spiral staircase was a highlight for my little one. There is a great kitchen, ample supplies if you want to cook or grill, and a really peaceful porch where a sunset drink is de rigueur.....pardon mon Français... For the kids, there are boogie boards available, and a nice outdoor shower to rinse off the sand before you come in. Check in and check out were very easy, and Rainey was extremely helpful and responsive to all our needs. I woke up early in the morning, to the sound of roosters crowing, and took a nice walk out to greet the day and watch the surfers. We only stayed here for one night, but we think we found a new destination on the north shore for when our boys are bigger and better surfers. Life is good here, I'd recommend Rainey's place to anyone who loves the ocean and is seeking a wonderful place to stay on the north shore.

Having a parking spot right next to the studio was a blessing as parking in the area appeared limited. The house was clean and came equipped with everything needed for three days at the beach (towels, sun umbrella, bodyboards, snorkels and even flip-flops!). We loved having full access to a washer/dryer and the gas BBQ. The beach is two minutes walk away, offering gorgeous sand and surf for both beginners and experienced swimmers alike. The apartment works perfectly for those on a surf safari or for a family looking to enjoy the beaches on the North Shore, we being the latter. We enjoyed a take out meal from Ted's one night, but be careful walking the busy road to the bakery at night. A great place to stay, with access to Waikiki Beach (sixty minute drive) if you want it.

  Comments: Rainey's loft was the PERFECT way for us to start our honeymoon. We wanted quiet, peaceful, and relaxation, and that was exactly what we got. Everything Rainey described about her home was accurate and even better than we imagined. The walk to the beach was short, and it was amazing being on such a beautiful beach with no more than 5 people on it at a time. It was paradise. There were also other beautiful beaches a short drive away with more people, but we loved being so close to such a feeling of a "private paradise." Rainey's house was also a short drive to the infamous food trucks, Food Land, the Coffee Bean, and about a 20 minute drive to downtown Haleiwa. Renting a car is definitely a necessity, but we did walk to Ted's Bakery many times and walked to the food trucks (about 3 miles) when we wanted a little more exercise. Rainey's house is also right by the bike path (about 4 miles long) which made for beautiful morning runs. Rainey provided everything we needed - beach chairs, towels, cooking utensils. She was also an amazing host as she gave us our space, but responded quickly to texts when needed! This was a great spot in a beautiful location, and we would go back in a heart beat.

  Comments: Best thing was that Rainey texted us to let us know the place was ready early. That helped so much as we were navigating two children across the island and trying to figure out where we would be in the middle of the day. The place made all the North Shore sites accessible and provided necessities. It was hot when we were there but Rainey provided many good fans and the place catches the breezes nicely. There are a few quirks. The screens don't all fit perfectly and rain comes in the side windows so you have to leave them closed. We used some duct tape to close up the obvious holes and then had no problems. As someone mentioned, the sleeping area has a low ceiling and even lower beam running the length of it. Didn't bother me but it makes the space just for sleeping, not hanging out. Loved that there was a gang of about ten children that gathered in the evening in the cul de sac and played. Sandy's sandwiches (the little green truck nearby) is sometimes not there on Sundays, in case you're looking. With young children you won't likely use the beach that you can walk to (V land?). We drove the few minutes to Waimaea and Sunset for wonderful beach days. We had a lovely stay.

Rainey graciously offered us a late checkout without us even asking for it, and had plenty of information to give us both in direct messages, as well as a binder full of information waiting for us when we got there. The apartment is in a great neighborhood close to a lot of great beach/surf spots. I'll definitely look out for her listing next time I'm in the area.

The place is well stocked with all the cooking gear you need. We enjoyed making breakfast and sitting on the front lanai. Lots of beach gear (boogie boards, towels, umbrella, buckets for sandcastles and more). Lots of windows let the wind through along with the lovely sound of the ocean overnight and then the local chicken population in the morning. Make sure you duck at the top of the spiral staircase it's a loft up there for sleeping. Great access to lots of North Shore and around to the east locations. Would stay here again.

  Comments: Wir haben zwei Wochen bei Rainey verbracht und können diese Unterkunft weiterempfehlen. Die Unterkunft war sauber. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet. Die Betten / Matratzen waren von hoher Qualität, 1+! Waschmaschine und Trockner waren sehr von Vorteil und jederzeit frei zugänglich. Die Außendusche ist ebenfalls sehr praktisch und vor allem notwendig, der hawaiianische Sand klebt immens. Rainey stellte viele Handtücher und Strandtücher zur Verfügung. Ebenso stellte sie z.B. Strandstühle, Boogie Boards, Schnorchelausrüstung, etc. zur Verfügung. Der Strand (baden, surfen) ist in drei Minuten zu Fuß erreicht. Wir fühlten uns sehr sicher in dem Haus. Die Nachbarschaft gibt typische Geräusche (Hunde, spielende Kinder, Gartenarbeiten, Müllabfuhr, etc.) her. Für uns war es fremd, dass auch am Wochenende laute Geräusche wie flexen, sägen, etc. normal sind. Nicht gefallen haben uns der Aufgang und der Balkon. Der Balkon sieht nicht mehr wie auf dem Foto aus. Er war sehr dreckig (spackig), die Boogie Boards, Strandstühle etc. nicht aufgeräumt, sondern ein Wirrwarr aus Sachen. Ein zerbrochener Stuhl nahm dort ebenfalls Platz weg. Die Treppe und der Balkon waren extrem rutschig, wenn es nass war! Keine Gummimatten oder Stopper, auch nicht auf den Stufen, das war fast schon gefährlich (die Gummimatte, die auf dem Foto zu sehen ist, gab es nicht (mehr?)). Man muss beachten, dass der Balkon bei Regen nicht benutzbar ist, da er kein Dach hat. Nach dem Regen dauerte es, bis die Bambus-Stühle trocken waren.

Perfect ocean breeze and nice place to relax after a fun day. I'm 6'2" and the loft is shorter so if your tall just watch your head when going to sleep but it's no issue. Great place and comfy bed! Plenty of pots pans plates and silverware.

Very responsive with texts, and provided recommendations for getting around the neighborhood. The North Shore was/is my favorite area in Oahu - so lush and green and the people are so friendly. The Airbnb itself was well-stocked (though 4 girls went through TP pretty quickly :P ) Overall a great experience!

  Comments: The home was spacious and comfortable four two, easily could have had a few more too. There is a large living area and a full kitchen with everything you could need. Wifi connection was good. We loved hanging out on the lanai. The beach gear that comes with the place is great as well. The only small complaints I had were the low ceilings in the loft (we bumped our heads a few times) and no closets. The location was ideal and walk-able to two Velzy and Sunset beaches and a very easy drive to Turtle Bay, Pipeline, Waimea, Halewia or any of the other North Shore destinations. It's very nice that the house comes with parking as well. Be careful pulling in and out of the spot so as not to bottom out. Rainey was friendly when we briefly met her and otherwise had great communication. Check-in was super easy. I would highly recommend this house as an affordable option on the North Shore.

  Comments: Staying at Rainey's loft was an awesome experience! I was there with my 2 friends for our last two nights in Oahu. It was the perfect place to relax and really take in the beautiful ocean views before heading home. The area is quiet and safe. I was able to walk to Velzyland beach at the break of dawn on a Sunday morning and it was a quick 5 minute walk! The bathroom was clean and the kitchen was well stocked (we were stoked to see that there were wine glasses, a coffee maker, and a toaster!). The beds upstairs were soft and comfy. The only thing that my friends had a slight problem with was that the wiFi was a bit spotty at times, but I never seemed to have a problem. We did not see Rainey during our stay, but she was very accommodating and was responsive to our questions. Highly recommend staying at this North Shore loft. Can't wait to come back!

Desde esa playa y caminando unos metros se puede ver el mejor atardecer de Hawaii. La casa es genial. Muy completa, tiene hasta artículos de playa. Lo único que hay que llevar es algo de ropa y ya. La casa es amplia y cómoda. Rainey fue siempre amable, desde antes de alojarnos hasta su saludo posterior. Además de envirte indicaciones clarísimas sobre la llegada y acceso a la casa. Minutes walk from Sunset beach, which as you would expect, is a great place to watch the sun sink below the horizon. A few more minutes walk and you are at Ted's bakery for all your breakfast/lunch and snack needs. the pineapple and coconut turnover is delicious!

It's walking distance from Ted's bakery (those pies, deceptively simple but so more-ish and the BBQ chicken and steak sandwiches are quite nice too), not to mention the gorgeous Sunset beach. Raineys place is lovely, airy (especially when you open all the windows to get the breeze) so didn't need the fan at night), filled with light, and contains everything you need for a holiday stay. Just remember to watch your head in the loft, as well take care when you climb the little, windy metal stairs leading up there. Otherwise, a relaxing place for a getaway. Definitely recommend to others

  Comments: We loved the loft. It was really well equipped and very clean when we arrived. Although not air conditioned, it wasn't need as there is a beautiful breeze. Rainey always answered queries when I sent them. The only other thing that might makes things a little easier for those without a car is perhaps some info on the local bus - a timetable if possible. If you intend walking to Foodland to shop it takes about an hour, so would recommend if you are not a walker to catch the bus or hire a pushbikes. Very close to beautiful beaches. Beds were very comfortable. Thanks Rainey!

  Comments: Although we didn't meet them in person, Rainey and her husband were very sweet and accommodating. Rainey wasn't even in the state and she was texting me occasionally to make sure our stay was comfortable and fun. When we had a slight issue with the shower, Rainey had her husband contact me to figure out a good time for him to come fix it, which he did, and it was fixed by the time we got back to the house that afternoon. The location was also primer, seeing that turtle bay was a short drive away, and Ted's bakery was also so close! Overall we had a very positive experience and are thankful to Rainey and Hector for opening their home to us.

  Comments: This seems like a great home base for visitors looking to spend their time at the North Shore doing outdoor activities. There's only one major road in and out in either direction, so expect traffic. Fortunately, there's plenty to do nearby, including snorkeling, rock jumping, surfing, and of course, swimming. The food options are of the truck and shack variety, but that can be charming. The loft itself is modest, but simple things like separate rooms and a w/d combo were much appreciated. There's no A/C, as the listing indicates, but all you have to do is open the windows and let the sea breeze take care of things. The neighborhood was very much local, ending in a cul-de-sac with neighbors in their yards and on their porches each evening. The vistas were gorgeous - the brightest rainbow I've ever seen greeted us on our final morning.

  Comments: Petit loft bien sympatique qui offre assez d'espace pour une petite famille. Il est bien situé et on accède facilement à une plage ( on y est pratiquement seul !). On y a même vu des tortues. Les foodtrucks et l'épicerie sont à proximité en voiture. Le quartier est tranquille. Je sentais bien que Rainey serait disponible pour toutes demandes (elle a d'ailleurs pris la peine de nous écrire alors qu'on annonçait des orages). Nous avons aussi bien dormi malgré le fait qu'il n'y avait pas de AC, les ventilateurs font le travail ! Mon fils a bien aimé l'armoire de jeux et de livres.

Although you aren't right on the beach, it is a quick walk! Because the unit has no air conditioning we appreciated all the fans available which made the temperature very comfortable. The loft might be a challenge to for anyone that is 6+ foot tall because of the low ceiling. The bench was within a few minutes walk from the loft.   Comments: Came to this house with my wife for 3 nights. great location to explore the north shore . Walking distance to the beach (5 mins ) , just crossing the street was great for our morning walks and swimming at the beach. Close to all other famous beaches at north shore with only few minutes drive . Also conveniently close to foodland and a bakery . The house is at the back of a quiet street. House itself very simple with basic furniture for the basics. Beds are located upstairs with rather clumsy access by spiral metal stairs and ceilings are low so have to bend to walk about . Not a lot of wardrobes and furniture too. Only thing really bothered us was the fact the house had no AC units anywhere which made temperatures inside considerably hot during afternoon ( house gets afternoon sun). At night we opened windows and let sea breeze in which was rather nice . Overall good cost benefit. Loved seating at front porch at night to relax after spending many hours at the beach .

  Comments: Rainey was an amazing host! Check in was straight forward and simple and we were able to find the place very easily. The loft on the top of the studio is really fun unique space. There is a full kitchen with a stove, oven, toaster oven, and fridge so we were able to cook a late night snack :) lots of beach and bath towels were provided which is a great plus since the beach is near by. There is a little patio with some chairs to relax in as well as a great place to hang towels and clothes to dry after a day at the beach. I called Rainey a week before check in because another Airbnb cancelled on some of my friends who were also staying in the area for a wedding. Rainey was kind enough to allow all of us to stay at her place and even provided us with an extra futon. Thanks for saving our trip, Rainey and letting us stay in your home!!

  Comments: The place was great for our needs. We knew it did not have A/C, so it was hot. There are a number of fans, but a screen door on the sliding glass would have helped a lot. Don't mind cleaning up after ourselves, but sponges and scrubbers were no where to be found. Hole in the wall and crack in the toilet seat in the bathroom needs to be repaired, but didn't interfere with our stay. Having paper towel and tissue available would have been nice. Never met the host but check in was easy. Key was in lock box and under the mat. Fit our needs since we were out and about most of the time.

  Comments: This is a garage apartment with a deck and loft area up a winding staircase. Loft has a lower ceiling and two double beds, downstairs has a pull out bed. The pull out bed is not very comfortable, even with the extra pad, so maybe good for children, less so for adults. The house is equipped with coffee pot (BYO coffee and filters) and a large selection of pots and pans. There are some spices and food items. There is also a soft cooler and beach towels which is nice for the beach. There are ceiling fans and extra fans to help cool it down for sleeping which is also nice.

  Comments: 3.5~4 If you are on honeymoon, skip this house. There is no AC so house gets very warm even at night. Lots of house rules tho so feel like living in a camp and not that welcoming. Location was good. Oh parking was horrible. It was a sloped gravel by the stairs, with slight potholes and big boulder. So parking with a sedan was difficult especially at night as we have to backup the car, to prevent front bumper damage. 4x4 will do. First night we decided to park at the road side since the place the gravel was dark, and dont want to risk flipping the car on the slope. But guess what.. We got a fine.

Your place is very comfortable with all the necessary amenities and it's super family-friendly. My kids thought that the loft area was so cool! It was terrific that you wrote down some local tips and we enjoyed walking across the street to the easily accessible beach to watch beautiful sunsets!   Comments: This place was in a nice and quiet location, decently close to the beach and grocery store. It was beautiful, however there were many ants everywhere in the loft even before we got there, which was a little unpleasant. Make sure you keep your suitcase/belongings closed, otherwise they will be crawling out of everything Nonetheless, Rainey was excellent at communicating important information regarding the loft, and pleasantly left useful amenities.

Mould on side of hide a couch / stains on couch/layers of grease and dirt on light fixtures and fan. No smoke detectors/ all removed. We just had to purchase paper towels but there was enough toiletries in the bathroom which I think previous guests had left. Bring some bath soap & shampoo. The place is in a cul de sac. It’s a nice neighbourhood. The beach is walking distance supposedly but we always drove to other beaches. The area is close to the grocery store & the historic Haleiwa town. Very close to the famous Ted’s bakery. Try their delicious Haupia pie! They also serve breakfast, lunch & I think dinner as well. At times, the lineup is very long. Rainey replies right away if you have questions or need advice. We like hearing the waves at night when it’s all quiet. You can see a view of the beach from the loft.

  Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed Rainey’s place during our stay on the North Shore. The space was great and Rainey was very quick to respond to any questions we had. A few notes: 1) There were clean beach towels and a mat available for us to use. 2) It’s a pretty quiet area, which was something we certainly appreciated after spending the first part of the week in Waikiki. 3) Only a short drive to some of the main attractions on the North Shore. 4) For food: Ted’s bakery and food trucks are only a short drive away. Foodland is also nearby (and sells pies from Ted’s bakery... for less). 5) Be careful if you’re above 5’ in the loft, the ceilings are quite low and there is a covered beam that drops down. 6) As others have said, it can be a bit warm, but Rainey has provided quite a few fans to help keep it cooler. 7) Everything was as promised and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rainey’s place. Thank you again and we look forward to our next trip to the North Shore!

  Comments: Perfect Loft just 5min away from Ted's Bakery (Which is amazing and a must if you come to the North Shore) and some great food places or just a short drive to some amazing beaches. The Loft was perfect for my family of 4 that consist of two kids. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, nice patio with a fantastic view of the neighborhood, and a washer and dryer provided as well. The neighborhood is nice and safe with friendly people greeting you with a smile. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again soon. Rainey was a great host who made our first AirBnb experience wonderful.

We LOVED the short walk to the beach (it was great because there was hardly anyone there), the walk to Ted's Bakery (breakfast and pies were delicious), so much to see and do just minutes from the house. Rainey was absolutely wonderful to communicate with and very accommodating. Everything in the house was very clean, which made the stay even better. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and look forward to going back to North Shore. Staying in North Shore was the best decision ever and picking Rainey's place was a great choice too. Mahalo!

The deck facing sunsets was a bonus. The kitchenette/studio/2nd floor loft were all perfectly suitable for meals/relaxing/sleep when we were in the space, but otherwise we spend as much time as possible outside exploring the many natural wonders of the beautiful island of Oahu.

  Comments: We stayed 2 adults and 2 kids and the place had all we needed, and the kids loved it, with all the board games and the special layout with a loft made it kind of cosy. There was no ac but there was a ceiling fan and plenty of fans and the place was very well ventilated and always seemed to be a breeze, so ac was not needed. Location is really great. We snorkeled in nearby sharks cove and saw sea turtles on a beach near by. Really amazing!

The location is great in terms of walkability to a lovely beach just down across the street, and to Ted's Bakery and Sunset Beach. The beds in the loft are very comfortable. You would need to be able to access the spiral staircase in order to sleep upstairs, but there is a sofa sleeper option on the main floor.
