  Comments: It was easy to connect with the checkin folks. The apartment was what we were expecting. It was a really cute little place near les ramblas. The only thing was that the washer and dryers were not working at the time and we spent part of one day getting to a laundry mat. Much thanks!

  Comments: We (young family with two kids) had a nice stay in the R2 Apartment next to ramblas. Perfect situated at the George Orwell square in the middle of the old town. It is not a design or extraordinary type of apartment but clean and all you need. Everything was as descripted and the handover of the key was very friendly and uncomplicated. The apartment is at the second floor and the stairway is very narrow and steep (no elevator) – but we were informed about this and even with two small kids it was no problem. A baby cot and baby chair was provided without additional cots – what is a very good service!! It can be noisy from outside (weekends) but this is always the case if you live in the old town of BCN and the bedroom is located at the quiet side of the apartment – just for the person(s) sleeping on the coach-bed (what is a good quality of bed) it can be a bit disturbing. We can absolutely recommend this apartment for a short stay.

  Comments: We arrived Friday night and our flight was running late. We called right away to inform the host once we landed (23:00). Our host was very kind and understanding and waited for our arrival. We had a great taxi driver as he knew that area quite well. The only fall back is that the taxi driver had to drop us off a few blocks before our building because the garbage truck was blocking the way (one-way street). We finally arrived and our journey was just starting. We still had to walk up several flights of stairs -58 stairs to be exact in a very small narrow walk way (about 30 inches wide/ .75 meters wide ) to reach the 2nd floor. We had 4 suitcase and our host so was so nice he helped by taking one up THE SMALLEST suitcase of them all!! By the time we reached the 2nd floor we were sweating like dogs. The apartment itself and the décor was run downed. The pictures definitely fooled us! The black plastic chairs drove me crazy, especially when you slide them out to sit. Its like nails on a chalkboard. The walls of the apartment are very, very thin. We could hear our neighbors above and below playing music, talking, and I also believe they have they same plastic chairs as they dragged them across the floor. Warning! Be careful in the shower not to touch the cylinder spout, (it is where the shower handled sits on to turn on/off or hot or cold) IT WILL BURN you. Also there are no shelves in the shower to hold hygiene products which was unpleasant. Keep the toilet lid closed as much as possible because the water smells like urine. The host only left one extra roll of toilet paper which was not enough for our stay so, we just went to the supermarket to buy a pack. The beds were stiff but we managed. The one nice amenity was the washer and dryer, but again we had to walk up another 50+ stairs to reach the top floor. All and all, other than the apartment the location was good. It was walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do. I love the placas where you can enjoy a nice dinner or take a break for a cappuccino. From all my travels…no matter how much research or pictures you look at to find the perfect place, you really won’t know until you actually go and experience it for yourself. Everyone has their own preference and expectations.

  Comments: My experience at the R2 apartment was overall a pleasant one. My flight was several hours late and without cell service in Spain, I was stressed about getting in touch with the owners for the key exchange. The drop off went off without a hitch; everything was explained clearly and the host was very accommodating and friendly. This apartment is in a fantastic location. The Barri Gothic is definitely one of the cooler parts of the city to stay in. Nearby dining, shops, and walking are awesome. The apartment is furnished simply but the furniture was comfortable and I found the pictures accurate. For the price, I think it really is a bargain. For the not-so-great: it's true, the apartment is up a decent flight of stairs and hauling luggage up and down isn't fun. I think this is pretty standard for the area and the owners clearly outline this in the description. Unfortunately, the apartment also smells weird. I suspect this has something to do with the sewer system in the building/bathroom, I wasn't quite able to pin down the exact source. My travel mate described it as "an airplane urinal smell" and although the apartment appeared well-cleaned and perhaps this was beyond the owners' control, this issue was undeniable. Probably the worst part of the stay was the fact that there was loud, early morning construction right outside our bedroom window two of the days we were there. This definitely stunk. Yet again, might not be the owners' fault but with the jet lag and Barcelona late night schedule, this was less than ideal. Hopefully this is a temporary situation. Overall, I think you get what you pay for. If you're looking for a basic relatively comfortable flat in the heart of an awesome district, this apartment is perfect for you. If you're envisioning pristine, hotel-esque lodging you might be disappointed. Keep your expectations in check and you'll be happy here.

  Comments: We liked the place a lot. It has a great location in the heart of the city. Lots of good food available just steps away. Ruben was very friendly, made us welcome and offered additional information about the city. The apartment is spacious and very well equipped with everything you could think of (hairdryer, toaster, AirCon, lots of clean towels...), WiFi working perfectly. We would definitely stay here again.

  Comments: L’appartement est situé au 2éme étage d’une étroite maison qui en compte 5 ( donc 5 locations ) La rue des Escudelleres est bien située ; très animée de jour comme de nuit. Accueil plutôt expéditif par quelqu’un qui n’est probablement pas le propriétaire L’appartement est conforme aux photos, propre, à part les housses de matelas..; équipé du strict minimum ( par exemple pas de brosse pour les toilettes.. ) La chambre est petite mais au calme. Nous avons payé le supplément pour le wi-fi ; impossible de se connecter . Nous avons laissé un message sur le numéro d’urgence : aucun retour.. En conclusion : trop cher pour la prestation fournie

  Comments: We enjoyed staying in the apartment on the second floor (July, 2017). The place is small but sufficient for one or two. It's clean, bright and relatively quiet, provided you keep windows shut. Air conditioning and wi-fi worked well. Guys at the ClassBedroom, the owner of all flats in the house, were attentive and efficient. The flat would benefit from a shelf and couple of hooks in the bathroom. Otherwise, it lacks nothing.

  Comments: This is such a great spot. Close to everything, and so adorable. Perfectly situated in the Gothic Quarter with restaurants and shopping all very close. I won’t harp on about the stairs—I think that was covered pretty well in the other reviews—but they were definitely not for the faint-hearted. I liked the free laundry facility—just need to bring your own soap! The check-in process was very professional, and everything was clean, if utilitarian. Good value!

  Comments: A great apartment in the heart of Las Ramblas. We were 3 people and were comfortable staying here. The apartment was clean and the host was very easy to contact. Only problem we had was that WiFi did not reach the bedroom. Lots of stairs up to the apartment which wasn’t a problem for us but definitely could be for someone with limited mobility.

  Comments: la ubicación es buena, pero había mucha bulla en las calles. no hay ascensor y la escalera es muy estrecha si andan con maletas. las camas no son tan cómodas, y el sofacama es muy regular por el tamaño del espacio.

  Comments: 房间比预想中要小一些,楼梯实在有点窄,有大件行李的话会很不方便｡热水大概只够两个人左右连着洗澡｡睡在客厅沙发床的人会有点吵,街上和楼梯里的隔音效果不太好｡沙发床有点不太干净｡位置比较便利,离地铁和公交都还算近,附近有很多不错的餐厅｡

  Comments: Messages were answered at a timely fashion. Not enough toilet paper and trash bags. When I needed to do the laundry, the person on the phone with Indian accent did not provide answer to my question regarding use of washing and Dyer machines. I ended up going outside to. laundry mat to do my laundry. Such an inconvenience. The last night of our stay, the stair lights were off and had to maneuver our way up and down which could have been disastrous if someone fall on the stairs. It was very unsafe. Lastly, the WiFi sucked really bad. Overall the location is very convenient to everything. Location is awesome, but the apartment was just okay!

  Comments: Расположение просто шикарное, прям на главной улице Барселоны. В апартаментах очень чисто, все убрано, хороший фен, полотенец много, чистая ванная комната, всегда горячая вода, есть холодильник, полно посуды, если вдруг кто захочет готовить, понравилось абсолютно все, приехали в 11:30, нас сразу разместили, не ждали и 5 минут, всем советую.

  Comments: L’emplacement est le seul vrai point positif de ce logement. À deux pas de la place royale. Autrement, deuxième étage sans ascenseur. Ménage plus que sommaire. Lit double (un canapé lit) très inconfortable. Le matériel ne fonctionne pas (alarme incendie qui ressort du mur, coffre fort qui ne fonctionne pas) Des lumières des appareils empêchent de dormir pour la personne dans le salon). Obligation de signer des conditions générales autres que celles d’Airbnb à notre arrivée, ceci est innaceptable ! Bref, c’est fonctionnel, mais vous serez aussi bien à l’hôtel, et sûrement pour moins cher.

  Comments: The place was in a perfect location. Our favorite bar (L'Antiquari) was just around the corner and great restaurants all around you. As far as the apartment goes, you get what you pay for. Make sure you bring ear plugs and some Lysol wipes and spray.
