House Rules: GENERAL HOUSE RULES Saving Electricity: - Turn off your air-conditioner when you leave the house; - Turn off the common room air-conditioner (if you turned it on or are the last to leave the area) - Turn off lights/appliances once done using them (i.e. your bedroom lights, shower water heater, etc); - Use the washing machine for medium and large loads ONLY (single or few item washes can be done faster by hand and are highly wasteful in terms of energy and water). Bathroom Etiquette: - If you shower and find water on the bathroom floor, please kindly mop it up and leave the ventilation fan on (safety > incremental electricity cost); - Don’t forget to turn off the water heater after showering; - Keep the bathroom door closed at all times; - Flush after every use (preferably with toilet seat down).
