  Comments: The location of the flat is perfect, the neighbourhood is very nice. Unfortunately the house was covered with a green net to prevent that parts of the facade hitting someone in the street. So this was kind of disappointing and not mentioned in the ad. The flat itself was clean, small bathroom and kitchen, ok for 2 persons and a weekend, the price is really ok!

  Comments: Everything works well in the apartment, besides the noise. Not only has the street heavy traffic, but you can hear everything through the walls - it should not be such a problem, (I actually sleep heavy and can stand traffic) but our neighbour had a real hearing problem and his/her alarm went off everyday at 7am and rung for about 20 minutes... Too bad, because otherwise the location is very central (one can walk everywhere!) and the apartment comfortable. Also, don't be deceived by the word "terraza". The apartment has a terrace but it is more of a "french door" (a large window) rather than a terrace with place to sit. The apartment is on a second floor and in front there is a big building, which blocks the light from noon onward. The building is under renovation, so all windows are partially covered.

Le bémol : la douche n'est pas très agréable/pratique (située en hauteur, étroite, et pas de tapis de bains) et c'est vrai que la voisine a tendance à oublier d'éteindre son réveil (à 7h).

  Comments: The location is truly a great aspect of this listing. It's close to the great restaurants and shopping in L'Eixample and also has good access to metro lines that will take you every where else you would want to see in Barcelona. Also, there are three excellent cafes on the same street with all of your breakfast, bread, ham, and coffee needs. The apartment has a well-furnished living room as pictured and has a decent kitchenette. The WiFi Connection was pretty good as well. Manual was a great host. He was right on time when we met to obtain the keys and he was able to arrange reasonably priced transport to the airport, that was also very punctual. For people who are light sleepers and are staying in the apartment Thursdays through Sundays, I would suggest bringing ear plugs because you do hear some of the bars getting out at night. But, if you are one of those people out at bars that late, that shouldn't be an issue. Overall, this was a good apartment to stay in to get a less touristy and more local experience of Barcelona.

  Comments: Manuel est un hôte fort sympathique, son appartement est bien agencé. Wifi haut débit télévision, même si nous n'avons pas allumé cette dernière. Kitchenette pouvant être utilisée, et frigo. Très proche de plusieurs ligne de métro, ce qui permet de visité Barcelone en toute facilité. Petits bar et restaurants dans le quartier. A 10 minutes à pieds de la place Catalunia et du haut de la Rambla. Rien à redire ... SI une petite chose, le voisin pense qu'il n'y a personne et laisse parfois (le premier matin) son réveille sonner pendant plus de 20 min. Un bon coup de poing sur la cloison et cela s'arrête.

  Comments: We enjoyed our short stay at Manuel's apartment in May. It was relatively close to all the major tourist attractions in the city center by foot. On our arrival, we were greeted by Manuel who was very friendly and helpful with various tourist tips. His apartment was clean, very spacious and in a safe neighborhood. The only issue we had, which was out of the control of the host, was the external noise level. Since the apartment is on a major street, the frequent noise from passing vehicles and people may be an issue for light sleepers. Other than that, Manuel's apartment is a great choice and we highly recommend it to those visiting Barcelona!

  Comments: Owner is a landlord with multiple listings. This was my first booking on AIRBNB and thought it was individuals renting a flat, and I thought there would be a welcome, some emails from them and possibly some items left in the flat. The day before we were due to arrive e, I got an email from Manuel and I confirmed we would arrive at 21.30. He told me there was a €35 late check in charge. When we arrived Manuel has sent a lady to meet us who was very helpful. I said we did not expect to pay to check in and the original booking h did not mention this fee and said as it was not agreed when I booked, I had not agreed it. Lucia called Manuel and we didn't have to pay it. We asked for 2 sets of keys, at first we were told no there was only 1 set. Then Manual suggested we make a second set at own expense, which I did not agree to. Then Lucia gave us her set and said that the cleaner had a 3rd set so not a problem for us to have 2 sets. The apartment is small, bright and smart. The bathroom is cramped and the shower is up several steps ( probably 1 metre above the floor in the bathroom. The shower was hot and worked fine, although easy to get into not as easy to climb down out of. The flat is on the second floor with a small balcony. It is on a busy street so traffic noise as you would expect, and occasional noise late at night as pepole walk by. Great value at the price and located just off Paseig de Gracie, close to shops and Casa Battle. I might not book a flat from Manuel in future, as at no time did we feel welcome, it just felt like a transaction / a contract, and not what Airbnb seems to suggest on their website.... that their renters meet you and make you welcome. Lucia was welcoming, even after 2 arguments we had with Manuel. Might just be easier to check into a hotel, no hassle with keys late check in andore facilities. I have rented apartments in over 10 cities and thus was the first time I used Airbnb, may also be th e last time !

  Comments: The apartment in Eixample was the perfect location for our (too!) short trip to Barcelona. We loved being able to walk out every morning and grab breakfast at one of many cafes in the neighborhood. The shopping wasn't too bad either! Manuel was a wonderful host. Only hiccup in our trip was that the boiler went out and we had cold water for a day or so. But it was addressed very quickly and we were comfortable for the remainder of our stay.

Lucia su asistente nos recibió de la mejor manera y si bien tuvimos inconveniente con la cerradura del baño al día siguiente a primera hora vinieron a arreglarlo. Muchas toallas y sabanas a nuestra disposición, muy lindo decorado. A una cuadra de un supermercado grande y dos cuadras de la pedrera y la casa de gaudi. Lo recomiendo sin dudarlo!!

  Comments: Apartment is quite good, well furnished, however is a bit smaller than looks at the picture. The kitchen is tiny. The absence of conditioning is crucial, because you have to open the windows for the night, and the street is quite noisy during the night and especially early morning. Besides that there is everything you might need in the apartment. Location is quite comfortable too.

  Comments: We stayed at this apartment for 3 nights in late September and really enjoyed our stay. The communication was very good with Manuel and we were met on time to be let in and were given a late checkout option which was great. The apartment was clean and set up very nicely. The location is definitely the best thing about this apartment. It is very easy to get to all of the city attractions. The lighting is very dark in the apartment but we liked this anyway so not a big deal. One thing that was slightly annoying was the shower head not having a cradle to sit in. Although this is very minor, it would be good to have sorted in near future as showering while holding the shower head was a little difficult. Also a safe would be great for personal items i.e. passports and money etc but again not a major. We would definitely recommend this apartment to friends if they were traveling to Barcelona.

  Comments: El apartamento es tal cual las fotografías y la descripción adjunta. Muy limpio, estiloso, super bien situado y, para nosotros, un precio asequible. Por lo que ha cumplido las expectativas creadas. La verdad es que podemos poner pocas pegas, salvo que no anuncian que por hacer el check in después de las 21 hrs hay que pagar 35€ además de los impuestos por persona (son 0,75€ por persona y noche pero creo que hay que dejarlo claro). Uno cree que va con todo pagado y que al llegar surjan estas cosas no es de buen gusto. Ese ha sido el único punto negro. El resto, perfecto. Gracias Lucía y Manuel.

  Comments: Flat is quite nice and ideally located in the very centre of Barcelona. However the neighbourhood is quite busy at night during weekends and the windows only have single glazing. You'd better bring earplugs. Lack of flexibility for the check in. We arrived at 8:30 am in Barcelona airport and were only able to get the keys a 4:00 in the afternoon. Apart from that Manuel was nice and helpful; he indicated to us a locker room where we were able to leave our luggage.

  Comments: My husband and I stayed in this apartment for 4 nights during our stay in Barcelona on the first leg of our honeymoon trip. The apartment was perfectly placed - just enough off the beaten path to not be swamped in the "touristy" areas and yet close enough to where you can reasonably walk/metro anywhere you want to go within the city. We are a younger couple so this small flat was perfect for us. The host was very accommodating - gave recommendations of local places to eat and shop. Wonderful flat for a romantic evening in (the view from the balcony is amazing) or to be out on the town within Barcelona!

  Comments: I honestly can't recommend this flat enough! It made our trip! It was my first time in Barcelona so I wasn't sure on the where the best location was but the location is fantastic. It's at the top of the main strip, in a really lovely little street with some great cafes and restaurants. It's walkin distance to everything you could possibly want, but not on top of loads of tourists. The best part of this flat is how truely amazing the location is, I just cannot fault it. The flat itself is great, it has high ceilings, a balcony big enough to sit on and a really nice block. Manuel is great as well, really responsive and helpful. I was worried that the flat had no air con, but fans were provided which we didn't even ask for. Thankyou Manuel for letting us stay, having such a great base in Barcelona made our trip even better. This was my first trip using air B and B and I will certainly be returning to this flat when I revisit Barcelona.

  Comments: My wife and I had a lovely stay at Manuel's. The apartment was clean, and provided the basic necessities one would need in a home base. The kitchen is very small and basic, but we ended up eating out every night so that didn't bother us. It can be a bit loud in the morning during the week due to traffic and construction, but otherwise the bed was very comfortable.

  Comments: Manuel was a great host. Quick responses and answered all our questions. Location was ideal as it was literally steps away from the Metro subway station. Great neighbourhood and lots of shops and restaurants closeby. The apartment itself was just as advertised. Clean and modern with lots of natural light. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a relatively quiet neighbourhood but still only a 10-15min short commute to the core of Barcelona. Just a small note, there is no AC in the unit, only fans. So at night time, it can sometimes get a bit warm although still manageable with the windows open.

С другой стороны, несмотря на близость туристических троп, сама улица очень спокойная. Рядом есть все, что необходимо, супермаркет и минимаркет, станция метро и куча кафе и ресторанов на любой вкус. Мануэль очень доброжелателен в общении, всегда готов помочь, например с трансфером от и до квартиры. Немного огорчает отсутствие кондиционера, но в целом, выбором очень довольны.

  Comments: Overall I would rate our experience here highly. The location was fantastic, one block away from multiple metro lines. Getting around town was a dream. The apartment was secure and I didn't feel unsafe at all our entire stay, inside or outside. Manuel was a great host and was easy to communicate with before and during our stay. This is what he does, and it shows that he loves it. He had great suggestions for us as well. The bathroom and kitchen are very small, and there wasn't much in the way of amenities other than toilet paper and towels. We actually had to sit sideways on the toilet because the washing machine was so close. We also thought a wastebasket would have come in handy in the bathroom (there was only one in the apartment, in the kitchen). Expect to bring or purchase all of your toiletries, including shampoo, soap, etc. Overall, our experience was great, checking in and out went smoothly, and we had very few complaints.

There are a lot of shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance and the transport links are very good. The amenities are very basic so bring your own basics but overall I would highly recommend this place if you're on a short trip to Barcelona.

  Comments: Cuando llegamos, el departamento aún se encontraba sucio de los anteriores huéspedes. Manuel nos mencionó que podíamos dejar las maletas a las 13:00 porque el depto recién estaría listo a las 15hs (llegamos al lugar cerca de las 13hs y no había nadie para dejar las maletas,hablamos con el contacto que nos dejó y nos dijo que Manuel no le había mencionado nada de eso y que no solían hacerlo. Regresamos a las 15hs y si bien esperamos unos minutos y llegó Lucía, el departamento estaba sucio, por lo que tuvimos que esperar 2hs más). Luego debimos colgar las toallas que habían quedado en el lavarropas, de los huéspedes anteriores. Vimos algunos lugares que le faltaba limpieza, como los bajo mesada y el baño (de varios días). El baño es muy incomodo y tiene desniveles en espacios reducidos que pueden generar un accidente. En el baño también se encuentra el lavarropas que está frente al inodoro. Lo único destacable la ubicación, que estaba a dos calles de la Rambla que es El Centro de Barcelona. Por el mismo precio tienen para elegir muy buenos b&b en la misma zona, de hecho nos cambiamos a uno al finalizar la estadía aquí.

  Comments: Truly central to the city, with La Pedrera and the shopping district just a couple short blocks away from the apartment. Although close to many attractions and city life, it is tucked just off the main street (La Cataluyna), just enough for easy access and also for a quiet sleep at night. If you have heavy bags however, be sure to be able to carry them up a couple flights of stairs as there is no elevator (or at least not one that we were aware of).

  Comments: I have to start this review talking about the location because is perfect. You will be close to touristic places but far enough to not be in the middle of a bunch of people taking pictures. Actually, I had lived in Barcelona per years and I know that the location is great. The apartment looks like the picture, it is comfortable and clean and IT HAS AIR CONDITIONER that works really well in the Barcelona's hot summer (I can't thank Manuel enough for having the AA installed on my arrival day). I enjoyed the balcony where you can have a coffee looking at the movement of the city. The host is very welcoming and polite. He gave me indications about places and some good advices for my stay. He was flexible with my check-in and check-out. I recommend this apartment.

  Comments: The communication was very good with Manuel and the lady came and met us at the apartment after us waiting only 5 minutes. However the actual apartment is a little overpriced for what it is. It felt dated ( the furniture was not that comfy) and needs a bit of TLC. Also the kitchen and bathroom are tiny, which the pictures do not show. It is in a good location, very close to the metro and some lovely restaurants. Just do not expect a luxury place, which the price may suggest.

  Comments: El departamento de Manuel, luminoso y ambientado con muy buen gusto, se encuentra en una ubicacion privilegiada, en una de las zonas mas elegantes de la ciudad. A pocos metros de las casas Gaudi: La Pedrera y Battlo. Ademas muy proxima a dos paradas de Metro con las que se llega a todo. Incluso muy comodas y con ascensor para llegar con valijas al aeropuerto. La zona tiene mucha vida y es posible encontrar bares y restaurantes abiertos hasta tarde, al menos en verano. El aire acondicionado funciona muy bien y los cerramientos son muy hermeticos por lo que pudimos descansar muy bien. Pasamos una estadia genial y sin duda lo repetiriamos una proxima vez.   Comments: Location...! This apartment is very well located in the heart of Eixample. Several good restaurants and bakery's are in walking distance. Rambla de Catalunya is just around the corner, so are several metro stops. The apartment itself is in a stylish building with high ceilings but can also use some minor improvements.

The kitchen is very small so don't expect to do much cooking but the very basics are fine to undertake. The bathroom is adequate but it has been mentioned that your knees can touch the washing machine when you sit on the toilet, our's did and me and my wife are both 5'9" tall, the shower worked fine but could do with a little tidying up maybe but all in all it worked. We both felt the flat for all it's good points was good value for money and we would stay here again for those reasons.

If you are an older person you should be aware that there are a couple of steps in the bathroom and up to the shower. I would stay there again.

  Comments: We recently stayed at Manuel's place for 4 nights at the start of April. The photos are a true reflection of the apartment with a spacious living area, double bed and small balcony. Communication regarding dropping our bags off was a little unclear (we had agreed midday and only ended up being able to leave them with a cleaner at 2.30), but once inside the apartment no issues arose. The location is within a two minute walk of Las Ramblas and two Metro Stations. The outside street is fairly noisy but this wasnt an issue with us and was to be expected with the location. Only minor downsides to the apartment are the small bathroom (which is split level) and small kitchen but everything you would need is there. Would recommend

  Comments: The location and communication with host were both excellent. This is in a prime location for good restaurants and Gaudi designs (2 blocks from La Pedrera or Casa Milà, 20 minute walk to La Sagrada Familia). The biggest issues were paying 50 Euros when we first arrived (for a late check-in and city taxes; we knew we'd have to pay but it still felt like an attempt to get extra cash from us) and the poor cleanliness of the apartment. The pictures online are not accurate. Our room was on the principal floor, and we think there are other, better units managed by the host in the same building. The bathroom is incredibly small with the clothes washer positioned right at your feet if you are seated on the toilet (a tall person's knees will touch the washer). The bedroom is small and bare. There were no plants, no clothes dryer except a drying rack, almost no toiletries provided except hand soap, and some information on the listing is inaccurate (e.g., check-out time, self check-in is NOT possible). We would not stay here again, but we would look in the same neighborhood.

  Comments: Manuel and Dani were great hosts. From the time I began inquiring and making the reservation, they were always very quick to respond and answer questions. Dani gave excellent directions on getting to the flat from the airport, which would have been a bit of a challenge due to a taxi strike that had just begun (and would have not been aware of without Dani’s communication); however, Dani’s directions made it as easy as possible given the situation. Also, given the taxi strike that was in progress the entire time I was there, this was a perfect location! I was able to walk almost everywhere I wanted to go without any problems at all.   Comments: Manuel's apartment is very well located -- just steps from Passeig de Gracia and the Casa Mila. Great restaurants and bars nearby. And Manuel was very helpful and a good host. The apartment is a little austere but comfortable enough. Pretty good value for the centre of Barcelona. If you are driving to Barcelona there is secure underground parking nearby but it is expensive at 30 euros per day.
