Space: The best part about this place is how at home you'll feel, as well as how conveniently located it is. My hope is for your stay to be as accommodating as possible, as if you were in your own home. The location is PRIME in terms of transportation, food and drinks, tourist attractions, activities, and nightlife.

Neighborhood Overview: The apartment is four blocks (or a 15 minute walk) from the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, the Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Zoo, Prospect Park, as well as Grand Army Plaza. It’s also two blocks from Franklin Avenue which hosts an über popular strip of bars, wine shops, restaurants, juice/smoothie bars, coffeehouses (and a Starbucks), as well as pop-up boutiques, and thrift stores. Similar to Franklin Avenue, Nostrand Avenue is home to plenty of restaurants, bagel shops, Dunkin Donuts, juice bars, grocery stores, laundromats, banks, variety stores, bodegas, liquor stores, smoke shops, as well as happy hour bars. So you should find everything you could possibly need just steps or a short walk away.

Notes:

Transit: The 2 (local) train and 5 (express) train is two blocks away on President Street. Take a right out of the apartment building and walk down Crown Street to the corner of Nostrand Avenue. Make a left and walk two blocks up to President Street. The station entrance is on the corner. The 3 (local) train and 4 (express) train is four blocks away on Eastern Parkway and Nostrand Avenue. Follow the directions above for the 2 & 5, but just continue past President Street until you reach Eastern Pkwy. The station will be in the median divider sidewalk. As far as parking...there is free street parking on Crown Street and other side streets. And paid hourly parking pretty much everywhere else. Please pay attention to the parking signs though as they can be tricky to understand for people new to New York City. Alternate side parking regualtions for street cleaning apply pretty much everywhere. So pay close attention to what time you will need to move your car on certain mornings.

Access: You'll have access to the entire one-bedroom apartment which includes a full kitchen, full bathroom, dining and living room space, and a large bathroom. So please make yourself at home. In the bedroom, there is a dresser with three large drawers emptied out for your use. The drawers in the nightstands are also empty as most of the closets are fully occupied. Fresh towels and linen will be provided. And please feel free to help yourself to anything in the kitchen or fridge.

Interaction: As I am often abroad when I make my space available, I will have a co-host to handle all your needs. Contact her directly if you have any questions or requests.

Comments: While I appreciated Nina's place being available on short notice, I would not recommend it for those that are concerned about non-intimidating neighborhoods or their absolute safety. Both nights we were greeted by 8-10 guys hanging our around the entrance of the building, some smoking marijuana, making comments to us as we entered. I will say once inside the apartment we felt much safer and the accommodations made were commensurate with the price charged.

Comments: Nina was a nice host. We stayed for 5 days in New York. Ninas apartment is located in Brooklyn not far away from the next subway station. The apartment was clean, with enough space and a good equipment.

Comments: Nina's place was very comfortable and nice inside. We had very easy communication!

Comments: Nina's place is great-- cozy with plenty of space, super easy access to multiple trains, and there's great food and cool things to do right in the area as well. The apartment itself feels very homey, and has all the amenities you need. There were a couple snafus with keys and whatnot, but Nina and her co-host were both super responsive and friendly and made us feel very comfortable. I certainly recommend!

Comments: Nina doesn’t communicate. AirBnB had dates available and the place was actually unavailable. This has happened before and I am completely understanding to this and will just book another place but the host tells me that the place was not available. I made numerous attempts to contact Nina but nothing. I received the check in instructions and it wasn’t until I sent my 6th message saying I was outside freezing and trying to locate keys that someone responded. I ended up having to book last minute another place but lost $250 tickets to a broadway show I was planning to see for months trying to figure out where I was going to stay. The really irritating part was that all someone had to do wax let me know the pace wasn’t available and I would have made another reservation, but the time to do that is not when I am supposed to arrive. Communication. Is. Key. Also, I didn’t stay here so I don’t know the state of the interior but the check-in process was the worst part of the New York trip.
