  Comments: The house is in a quiet and nice residential area. It's equipped with all the Mod Cons (even a high power juicer!) - we were able to do our washing which was very convenient. It is spacious and has a nice little garden where we had our breakfast. As there are 3 nice bedrooms, you could very well stay there with 6 people without getting on each others nerves. It even has two tv/DVDs - in case you cannot agree on which film to watch ;-) The west coast is NOT touristy. It has some very nice sandy beaches, frequented mostly by local people. So if you are looking for a non-touristy holiday, it's perfect. However, this also includes tuning down your expectations of local amenities down to "normal life" standards (i.e. no beach bars etc.) if you feel like more glitz: Honolulu and Waikiki is only about a 40 min drive. Dulce is the most welcoming and warm person. We were greeted with lovely local fruit and some goodies in the fridge. The house is very well kept - everything spotlessly clean and bright.

  Comments: I had an AMAZING time in Dulce's unit. It's beautiful, clean, and the area is incredible. It's just a stunning value for what you're getting. What impressed me the most was how thoughtful they were in putting the place together and making sure that it had EVERYTHING. (The towels earned rave reviews and I have been "encouraged" to make similar upgrades to my own apartment.) Great decor, too - tasteful, luxurious, homely, and varied: the rooms are each themed differently. I know that Waianae has something of a poor reputation, but the immediate neighborhood is GREAT and feels like any high-class suburban area. Before booking, you do have to understand that it's located about 45 minutes outside of downtown Honolulu (traffic depending), so if you're not willing to make that drive then you should look for another unit, but for us this wasn't a downside - we LOVED our experience. There are also beaches and hikes (Kaena Point) and snorkeling (Electric Beach may be the best place on the island and it's about 15 minutes south) and camping and a few restaurants closer to home if you decide you don't feel like it after you've arrived on the Island, and the home itself is just a terrific place to relax. I have stayed in a few of the major hotels in Waikiki, and this unit is so much better that you shouldn't hesitate at all - it's quieter, cleaner, much bigger and more comfortable, and a vastly better value. Plus it comes with a parking space. The hosts are also fantastic and they really cared about making sure that we had a great time. Very, VERY highly recommended. Absolutely ideal for a family or anyone looking to get out of the City and recharge for a few days.

  Comments: We had a great time in Dulce's large, comfortable house. Everything was clean, plenty of towels, showers were warm, and laundry was available. We were also able to watch the Olympics on a large tv, and the house was only a few minutes away from some of the best snorkeling we found in Hawaii - ask the snorkeling rental where to go. Mahalo!

  Comments: Dulce and her lovely son Daniel were really friendly and the house was very good to accomodate family over 6 to 8. Just like previous reviews on this house, everything is equipped with so that you can't find any inconvenience. This was the first time in Oahu, which made me a little bit worried. But this place was totally safe and good for my family. Commuting traffic from the area aorund the house to downtown Waikiki looks a little bit bad but my every morning experience during the staying in this house tells that it's not that much time. Take the Diamond lane in the highway till 8:30 A.M.! No matter how late you're, the lane will take you to Honolulu airport in 1 hour. I really thank Dulce and Daniel for seeing us off even by coming to the airport. I would definately reserve this house if I could have a chance to visit Oahu again. Mahalo~~!

  Comments: Dulce and Richard were great hosts and very friendly. Dulce was quick to help answer questions prior to the reservation we had and Richard was friendly and helpful with tips when we arrived. They are also flexible with check in and check out times and let us have a late check out on our last day since there wasn't anyone scheduled to come in the next day. The home was great and had a lot of nice amenities. Washer and Dryer were key since we had a second leg of a trip and beach towels and chairs were nice additions as well. The patio was also great when we ate at the house. If you want to avoid the hassles of the crowds in Waikiki and get more bang for your buck I would highly recommend their home.

  Comments: To say that this house ended up being perfect for our stay would be an understatement. First of all, Dulce and Richard are lovely and gracious hosts. Dulce was there to meet us upon our arrival with some lovely fruit and Hawaiian bread as treats. The house was completely stocked with everything we could need for our week--beach towels, shade umbrellas, coolers for packing lunches on the go. This house is located on the warm side of the island. We had mostly sun and very little rain during our stay. This would be my first stop the next time we get to the island.   Comments: My wife and I as well as 3 friends all stayed at Dulce's wonderful house for a wedding at the near by Ko Olina resort area. We wanted to save money while still getting a great Hawaii experience and that is exactly what Dulce and Richard delivered. They were fantastic about accommodating our random arrival schedules as we were all traveling in from all across the globe. They greeted us with fresh fruit at the house, orange juice in the fridge and the house had all the additional amenities you would need including beach towels, plenty of bathroom towels and washer/dryer with detergent etc. I got a lot of strange looks/feedback when I told people we were staying in Waianae as it has gotten a bit of a bad reputation however do not hesitate to book this location! Dulce's pictures are exact representations of the area, house, etc and the neighborhood is like any suburban area. Overall I cannot say enough good things about Dulce, Richard and their wonderful house in Waianae. They are truly the example of what Air BnB is all about!

  Comments: We stayed in this rental for a friend's wedding in Honolulu. This home was everything we could've asked for and more! It took less than an hour to get to Honolulu and the drive there was easy, even during rush hour. Dulce and Richard were absolutely fabulous to work with throughout the entire process and even allowed us a late check-out when we booked a later flight home. One of my favorite parts was having my morning coffee outside watching the adorable lizards climb the fences. The separately controlled air conditioners for each room was so wonderful to ensure everyone in the home was comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend this rental to anyone visiting the area. If we ever return, we'll look to stay here first. Thank you for everything Richard & Dulce!

  Comments: Dulce and her family were incredibly welcoming during my stay in Hawaii. My coworkers and I were in town for a non-profit project in the neighborhood and the house was a beautiful relaxing home base for a work trip that ended up feeling more like a vacation. The house is just as pictured, perfectly clean and tastefully decorated. The neighborhood is incredibly residential and the beautiful beaches were fairly empty with the occasional local family hanging out. There are not many restaurants in the area but plenty of fresh fish to throw on the backyard BBQ!

The surrounding is quiet, you can approach the house easily. The place is fully equipped, it is more beautiful than on the photos. The garden is beautiful and charming, we spent some time with making the dinner and bbq there. Richard gave us many useful tips and help to discover the beauty of Hawaii.   Comments: From the moment we pulled up to the house in Waianae to Richard and Dulce's home we were greeted with a great big Hawaiian welcome. Daniel, their son, warmly bid us enter into their amazing home with leis. Once introductions were made, Richard gave us a quick tour of the house sparing no details. The house was everything we could ask for. From kitchen utensils to laundry detergent to bathing necessities, our family could tell that the house had everything we needed. There were even brochures and tour pamphlets on what to do on the island, like you would find in an upscale hotel. The three bedroom house was kept to the highest standard of cleanliness and perfect for our family of 6. Our hosts, Richard and Dulce were always available should we have any questions on the functions of the house or the appliances. We've never had such attentiveness paid to our vacation as we did with them. They take utmost pride in their home and showing their guests a wonderful time. Thank you so much Richard and Dulce! We came expecting to stay in your home but left with your friendship .

  Comments: Dulce and Richard welcomed us with fresh flower Hawaiian Leis and made themselves available for anything we needed including personal tours of key locations, sights and great places to eat. They were enthusiastic and we instantly felt like we had new friends in Waianae! The house was even nicer than we expected, SO CLEAN, peaceful and relaxing to stay in. We took full advantage of the washer & dryer, kitchen, grill and beautiful back yard and patio dining area. The large aquarium with beautiful fish provided endless entertainment and we enjoyed having the beach and a food market within walking distance. We loved everything about it.

  Comments: The condo was fantastic, as was Dulce. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, including picking up some of the party from the airport. The house was well equipped with towels, toilet paper, dish soap, detergent etc. The kitchen was also well stocked with everything we needed to cook. We were able to have our own backyard "luau." I personally loved the view of the mountains in the backyard. I would definitely recommend this condo and Dulce!

  Comments: We had a wonderful vacation. A big mahalo to Dulce, Daniel and Richard, who have been great hosts! As this was our first non-hotel experience, we didn't know what to expect. It was way more than we could have imagined. A lot of extra amenties! A very nice, spacious house. And very clean! That's probably the most important thing when being away from home. The only downside? We should have booked the house longer, way longer! We will definitely recommend Dulce's house to friends and family. Maybe we will come back in several years. With two kids instead of only one. Again, Mahalo for the wonderful vacation!

  Comments: We felt very welcome. Dulce presented us with leis, and macadama nut treats and juicy pineapple. Dulce was very gracious, allowing us an early check in, as well as going beyond the call of duty and getting a bed and high chair for our grandson. We really appreciated Dulce's efforts. The 3 bedroom house is lovely, and easily accommodated five adults and a toddler. The kitchen was fantastic with all of the amenities for people who like to cook (or not)! We also loved the location--about 20 minutes to Ka' Olina Resort, as well as grocery stores etc. We would stay here again!

  Comments: Tori’s family enjoyed 5 fabulous days in our home away from home in West Oahu. Our family found the kitchen to be well equipped and we enjoyed meals, weather permitting, with the Tikkis lamps providing atmosphere in the evenings. The house was clean with linens and towels provided. West Oahu was a phenomenal change from the touristy areas of Hawaii. We loved that aspect of being there. The older kids hiked the mountain behind the house and said the views were phenomenal. We did surf lessons with Danny and all of us were able to ride waves until we were too tired. Another group of would be surfers had a different teacher and only one or two of there group ever got up on a board. Danny is the guy if you want to surf. The Army rec center has a great beach and food. Just take your US ID and you can enter. We will be back. Enjoy.

Richard was waiting for us when we arrived and gave us a thorough and detailed walk through of the place. It's a beautiful and convenient house. As a mom, I was very happy about how convenient this place was for my family. Our itinerary got shifted by a day due to airplane issues, Dulce and Richard were super nice about it and accommodated our request to shift a day and completely understood our circumstances. Without a doubt, this is where we will stay when we visit the next time.

  Comments: Dulce & Richard were very gracious hosts greeting us with a Lei and a selection of macadamia products from the Island, also invited us to dine with them at the nearby Defence establishment which was very nice (above & beyond the call). The house is very comfortable and filled with everything you'd need for a family holiday including boogie-boards and beach chairs. We were two couples and the three bedrooms/two bathrooms were ideal. The house is situated about 25 miles from Waikiki so takes a while to drive there particularly in peak-hour traffic (try to time your departure & arrival home outside of the peak hours as the traffic is horrendous). All rooms are air-conditioned, clean and the beds are fantastic. The barbecue out the back is another asset, very pleasant sitting on the rear deck watching the view of the countryside.

  Comments: We absolutely loved staying here. We booked last minute but the Salisbury's were 100% accomodating. They even had a high chair for our two year old and a small crib for our 6 month old. They also had a ton of dvd's and toys, plus a fantastic fish tank! They gave us priceless advice about the island and made us feel so welcome. We absolutely could not have picked a better place to stay. The house was immaculately clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We could've stayed in that house forever. I'm so grateful they had and opening and I would recommend this house to anyone.

  Comments: Very comfortable, fully furnished house with soft plush carpeting and A/C's in every room. 3 minute drive to beach, 10 minutes to Ko Olina/ Paradise Cove, 15 minutes to Target / Costco. We're 4 guys, mid 30s professionals, living/working in beautiful Monterey CA who decided to travel to Hawaii to celebrate a birthday and visit an old friend. We arrived in Honolulu Saturday morning and after picking up the car, eating lunch, and making a Target run, we drove the 45 minutes to Waianae and checked-in. Rick and family were already at the house when we arrived at 4pm where they promptly greeted us with warm smiles and traditional Hawaiian Lei's. Rick then spent a few minutes showing us the many amenities of the house (beach gear, towels, BBQ, etc.) followed by 20 minutes where we just chatted about the attractions in the area including the local artist that provided the amazing art hanging in the house. Rick is a fantastic source of information and gave us plenty of tips including one that saved us $250. After settling in we spent the next 8 days exploring all over the island, putting 700 miles on our rental car, but always returning in the evening to a nice comfortable home. This was ideal for us as we only had to grab towels, a cooler, and the gear we needed for the day. We could travel light, not worry about our luggage, and know there was an ice cold beer waiting at home (beer not provided). It was also great not worrying about packing too much clothes since we could do laundry in the evenings after a day of adventure. The proximity to Ko Olina was also perfect as our preferred Luau and sailboat/snorkel tour were based out of here. There are 4 major resorts in Ko Olina so there's plenty to do there . We spent time at the Aulani Disney Resort and Ko Olina Lagoon. The bottom line is that this house is perfect for those interested in getting out and exploring all corners of Oahu. If all you want is to lay on a beach then one of the many resorts would be a better choice. If you want a very comfortable, affordable, spacious base-camp to call home while you explore the island, then this place is perfect for you.

  Comments: This house was fantastic for us. We had six adults and 3 toddlers and it couldn't have been a better place to stay! It has everything a family needs toys crib high chair and movies. The house had tons of space and we also had privacy whenever we needed it. I preferred staying at the house than the hustle and bustle of the Waikiki area since it's less crowded and more peaceful. The house is close to koolina and the Disney resort which was a plus for us. Great place to stay!

  Comments: I was in Oahu for my wedding and rented this house for us and my family. We had an amazing time staying in this beautiful, clean house, it was in a nice neighborhood . I had my Mom, Dad, Step Mom, and fiancé and we were very comfortable everyone had there own space. It close to some nice beaches and some affordable stores. The hosts were so very nice, they were there to greet us in person with leis for everyone also to give instruction and suggestions on things to do while we there. They were very helpful and so sweet!! We would definitely chose to stay here again!

  Comments: The home was perfect for our family. Very clean, organized, and contained the everyday items needed, even spices and laundry soap. We used the folding chairs and umbrellas several times. The location was great, just a short walk to the beach, and convenient for us to visit all sides and center of the island. Additional family joined us for a backyard barbecue using the gas grill, and we used the patio table for nighttime games. The mattresses were very comfortable, hoping to find out what type they are! I definitely recommend this home. Dulce and family are close by if help or advice is needed.

  Comments: Dulce and Richard were incredible hosts during our stay in Oahu. My family and I were thoroughly impressed by Dulce and Richard from the very beginning because they were so hospitable and willing to accommodate our needs. Richard immediately gave us a full tour of the house, citing the history of breathtaking artwork and design within the home. Both Dulce and Richard furnished the home with talented artists from the island, and even had themes for each room. The home was equipped with everything you would need, ranging from torches and a brand new BBQ in the backyard, to a collaborative diary of activities that prior guests decided to do. What we appreciated most were how kind and gracious both Richard and Dulce were. They were always just a phone call away. Our stay at their location was well beyond our expectations and gives us full confidence in Air B&B as a service to plan our future trips.

  Comments: Everything was perfect from day 1 and much better than I expected. The only thing I regret is to stay there too short, 2 days. The entire house was extremely well managed and maintained. Host welcomes with warm heart, and keep taking care of my arrival. Although I arrived late at night, the host came out to the property and walk me through the entire house, which was so helpful. Actual house was much better than the pictures posted on the airbnb site, which is typically opposite. Again, I will definitely stay there if I visit Oahu island and appreciate Dulce to make my first time visit to Hawaii very pleasant and wonderful. Many thanks!!

The sunsets are beautiful and the area is charming. But the best part for us was how welcoming and helpful Dulce and her family were to us. It's obvious from every detail in their communication and in the house itself that they take pride in the accommodation and in their relationships with their guests.   Comments: Dulce and her family were AMAZING! They were very welcoming and accommodating. Upon arrival they were there to give us a complete tour of their home, meanwhile their son played with ours! Pictures did not do this place justice. The home is even more beautiful in person and the view from the back yard is absolutely stunning! The home is equipped with EVERYTHING that you could possibly need to be comfortable in a vacation home. Minus the food of course, the kitchen is equipped with all pots, pans, a rice cooker, a grill and utensils, plates, cups, and more! The house also comes with bath towels, beach towels, and bath soaps. Dulce also provided beach toys for the kids. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Their place is also equipped with a washer and dryer so that you are able to go home with clean clothes! This was our first experience with airbnb and i was extremely hesitant prior to getting to the home, fearing that it would not meet out satisfaction, the only regret we have from staying at this place is not being able to stay longer!!! This home is truly a great "HOME AWAY FROM HOME." Our next vacation to Hawaii we will definitely book this home.

  Comments: Dulce is a very nice person, her communication was awesome, replied all my messages. We had a late flight and she waited for us till midnight to give us a tour of the home. The house was great, 3 bed rooms and 2 bath, clean and washer dryer in the garage. Dulce provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay, clean towels, bedding, there was even snorkeling gears including fins (we never used it) . The kitchen was well stocked ( even though we did not cook). The place is around 45 mts from Waikiki but closer to dolphin tour place and surrounded by beautiful mountain. Wish we had more time to enjoy the home and the location.

Dulce even provided us her member number at the local grocery store to help us get discounts. Everything in the house is working perfectly. Many baby & children stuff to keep them happy.   Comments: Dulce and her husband met us at the house when we arrived, and helped orient us to the area as well as the house. They answered our questions andw gave us suggestions on area activities and beaches. Their house exceeded our expectations, and met our needs well.   Comments: True vacation "home". It was such a great experience staying at Dulce's place in Hawaii. Dulce, Richard and little Daniel greeted us when we arrived, showed us the place and told us every tips they know about the island. Our dinner at the Sunset cafe was lovely, good to start our journey. We'll never forget the sunset we saw that day! The house itself was perfect. Had everything we needed(the rice cooker made my mom happy), from the kitchen to beach chairs, towels. We even had a bbq one night at the backyard :) looking at the stars drinking Hawaiian beers, who could ask more? All the rooms were clean, bed was comfortable slept well after all the tours&activities. My family, we all were happy staying there. We felt its like our home in Hawaii. Will definitely come back next time. Big mahalo to Dulce, Richard and Daniel! P.s. Don't forget to go Ko' Olina lagoons it's beautiful, clean, and quiet(specially the second one), hiking up the back mountain was really good too the view up there is wonderful.   Comments: We absolutely loved our stay at their home. Dulce , Richard and Daniel were all so sweet and kind. The house was amazing and had so much room! We are a family of 7 and we had more than enough room. The crib for our baby was so nice and a regular crib not the pop up I was expecting. The beds were comfortable and the lines were so soft, from the sheets to the towels. We even took a picture of the tag from the sheets so we can buy some when we get home ;) the hosts made us feel as if we were visiting them and not just renting the home. We I'll definitely recommend this to our friends and be back to visit soon!! Richard's conversation about how good life is and just how blessed he felt with his family was heartwarming.

  Comments: Aloha! Dolce and Richard were welcoming and great to communicate. When we arrived they explained all the details that we need to know about the place and the area. The house was clean and ready. The beds were comfortable and rooms are spacious. The view from the house was great with mountains in the back. We had BBQ the very first night after shopping at Costco. We haven't had a chance to climb up the mountain but I will definitely try it next time I visit the place. We stayed in Waikiki first 4 days and moved to the west. We explored the west and enjoyed it very much away from all the busy and crowded tourist sections. Thanks Dolce and Richard!

The location is little bit faraway, but the traffic is not bad, you can reach anywhere in half an hour. So overall Iwould recommand Dulce's house!

  Comments: We had a great stay here. The property had everything you would need. It was very clean, with fully equipped kitchen (enough plates, cups, pots etc., even basic spices!) and bbq grill in the back (which we loved), washer dryer, and great beach equipment (umbrellas, chairs, sand toys, boards). Beds were also very comfortable, and AC was nice - slept well every night. They even had a video game console so the kids could entertain themselves. Dulce really thought of everything that a traveler would need, and has provided. The neighborhood is residential, and close to a Sack N Save and Tamura grocery stores. Dulce was very kind to give us her Sack N Save discount - and helped us save on our grocery bill. The Costco is also reasonably close by. There is some traffic during rush hour along the island highway up to the location - as this is the only highway to/from the rest of the of the island. But it was only 40 minutes to Pearl Harbor, and only 15 minutes to the beaches at Ko Olina - both of which were very accessible from the property. For our first visit to Oahu, and our first use of airbnb.com with our family of 6 - this was the perfect. I would definitely recommend this unit to any one.

  Comments: Dulce was very accommodating and loved that she met us up personally for check-in and check-out. The house was very spacious and comfortable (bed in master is super comfy). This is perfect for families as it is close to Disney Aulani. It's a bit of a drive to Honolulu (~35 - 40 mins), so you'll definitely need a car to get around. However, it's super quiet and peaceful and close to a super nice beach in Ko'Olina if you want to just get away from it all.

  Comments: We met Rick and Dulce. They allowed us to check in early since our flight arrived so late. They were very helpful and pleasant. The house we stayed in was great. Everything you need and more. Towels, climate control, coffee maker, fridge, etc. I could go on and on. What really sold me was the garage full of snorkel gear, beach chairs and umbrellas. We saved so much money. I read all of the reviews prior before purchasing and most of them, if not all, stayed true. I highly recommend staying here.

Having split air conditioners helped cool down the house kitchen had all the items to cook if you wanted to. Just keep in mind the house is located on the west part of the island it is a drive to get to the popular places and there's not that many restaurants to eat at.

  Comments: Before arriving, Dulce sincerely responded to my specific questions. Her vacation home is as exact as the home a lot of guests described. I read most of reviews because our family travel(6 adults, 1 kid, 1 infant) is celebrating my father's 70 year old birthday and I want to make sure any unexpected cancellation would not happen. She and her husband introduced so many details to me and my wife upon arriving. Our staying was as same as other reviews such as $25 discounts at Sack & Save with her account number. One thing that I regret is not doing BBQ more than twice because we were so tired every night. I am also worrying about dump trash in a wrong trash basket outside. I was told that Richard asked me move black one in front of house on Mon anyway.   Comments: Upon arrival I was greeted warmly by Dulce and her lovely family. Her adorable five year old, Daniel, gave us a tour of the house, which was roomy, clean and accurately depicted in the photos. She gave us tips and suggestions of what to do during our short stay, and always was quick to respond to my inquiries. She made her self easily accessible and provieded EVRYTHING guests would need to feel at home. However, her house is a bit far from the city with Honolulu and Waikiki being at least a 30 minute + drive- so be prepared to rent a car. Contrarily, if you're looking for peace and quiet with beautiful beaches about a ten minute drive away, with an awesome host, and a nice home then is the place for you.

  Comments: Dulce was very helpful weeks before we arrived, and cheerfully greeted us at the house after we landed. We loved her warmth and enthusiasm, and she told us everything we needed to know about navigating her home, which was roomy, magalocomfortable and well-stocked for our needs. She suggested places to visit, places to shop, and places to eat, and had plenty of information about the local area. She even warned us, rightly, about Honolulu traffic, giving us the busy hours, so we could adjust out plans accordingly. All we can say is Mahalo, Mahalo, Dulce. We enjoyed Oahu, and Dulce enhanced our experience.

The house was about 10 minutes from the lagoons, and had a great backyard for our kids. They provided everything we needed, even beach toys, towels, and boogie boards...,even comfy beach chairs! We would absolutely stay there again, and we highly recommend it. Both Dulce and her husband were super accommodating and quick to respond to any need, question, or request.   Comments: The apartment was wonderful - about a 15 min walk to the beach and perfect for living in a quiet neighborhood close to great hikes on the west side of Oahu (including a hike to Puu o Hulu just around the corner). It's about 40-50 min from the airport and city without traffic. I stayed there with my family and we had plenty of space. Dulce met us for both check-in and check-out and she was highly responsive throughout!

It's within easy driving distance to the ocean, shops and restaurants. We were glad to see the beach gear in the garage. Dulce had suggestions about where to eat and what to do, and had a lot of brochures to help. The kitchen is amazingly outfitted for indoor and outdoor cooking. The upstairs sitting room was the main gathering area. I would go back in a heartbeat, but for longer.

The home was tidy and spacious. My family absolutely loved that there was actually enough space for all of because there are seven of us and some of us are larger than your average guest haha. There were so many great things that came out of this family vacation and a lot of it had to do with this wonderful home. Washer and dryer were so convenient along with the outside shower to rinse off and beach supplies in the garage. The house provides pretty much everything you may need and even has A/C which was nice to have. We did a hike that was right behind their house that Richard told us and got an awesome view of the Waianae coast. The location is a bit further away from downtown or north shore area (didn't bother us), but from aulani/ko'olina it's close by. The neighborhood is so quiet and the beds were comfortable to sleep in. Dulce was also able to print out my concert tickets I had purchased last min. My family and myself really enjoyed our stay and took advantage of the fresh papaya that was right in their backyard. Definitely would stay here again!
