Everything worked out great This is our first time ever staying in a Air B&B so I was very nervous and it worked out better than I could imagine!   Comments: I had to check in early and had trouble finding the parking and they were very accommodating!!! They allowed for me to use their driveway as needed. I would definitely recommend this location as well. The cottage is located near a 24 hour rite aid, several restaurants/bars and the bus stop to Manhattan was a very short walk. I felt very safe in the neighborhood as well, for those coming from afar and don't know the area. Everything was super clean!!! Thanks!

  Comments: Simple checking via lock box, clean location, and quiet. I can't stress enough how those three things can be hard to find. That was not the case this this cottage. Checking in via lock box made things convenient to my busy schedule. The cottage looks just as it appears in the photos. The cottage was clean as a whistle and well maintained. I had no trouble finding the location or parking my car on the street. The neighborhood was quiet and located next to some shops to help keep you from having to drive around or use mass transit. I loved everything about the cottage and the location. I definitely would stay again when I come back to NYC in the future!

Wonderful area with just about anything you need close by, easy to get around on mass transit and the Puerto Rican restaurant that the host Luis recommended was sabroso! Clean, comfortable, roomy, private... what more can you ask for? Well if you think that it would be nice to have complementary beverages and snacks in your room, they got that covered too! Luis is super nice, responsive and willing to assist. I wish we had stayed longer. Definitely will be our go-to place when visiting family and friends in the future. If they are not now, they should be considered as a super-host!

There is air conditioning, a place to work, wifi is available, and the bathroom is all you need. And the snacks were appreciated :) no trouble finding street parking (though we were out of there by 7:30am), and we arrived after 1am. Luis was super speedy on communication and ridiculously easy to work with.

  Comments: This little cottage is located in a very central location. Very easy to get to with plenty of street parking. Upon entering the cottage we found everything just as described in the listing. It smelled very clean! And while the unit is small, no detail in amenities is spared! There were snacks, drinks in fridge, tv with movie channels included, fluffy towels, a very comfortable bed, and things you would find in a hotel. It was a great pleasure to be there and highly recommend! Luis was very attentive and even allowed us to borrow his printer and responded quickly to all my questions. I was looking for a close place to stay for my Job interview and I thought at first this place was a little pricey- but as I arrived, I was immediately greeted and welcomed by you Luis! Your place is wonderful, clean, and very well organized. Every detail was well thought out for the comfort of your guests! I was so pleased to have a private entrance, private bathroom in a very private studio room detached from the main house! I loved the mini fridge stocked with the different snacks and juices. I loved the coffee machine with the variety of coffee, tea and hot coco - my only request for next time is to have a few Starbucks (Pike or Sumatra ) K-cups :) .I even made a short video to show my wife - she was very jealous and wants to come there in the very near future. I was so happy to walk into a warm, comforting room after a long day of travel - thank you for turning on the heater for me! I wish it was not raining so I could have enjoyed my morning coffee on the porch :) What also made my experience great was that you, Luis are a great communicator- which tells me that you take your business very seriously. I can say that your price is very fair and I had a great stay at the Cozy Cottage! I will definitely come back with my wife to stay here for a vacation. Thank you so much for your hospitality!   Comments: Luis Häuschen ist klein aber gemütlich. Alles war sauber und so, wie beschrieben. Luis hat uns ein paar Snacks und Getränke im Raum deponiert, was wir sehr nett fanden. Im Winter könnte es vielleicht ein bisschen kalt werden, aber es steht ein kleiner Heizkörper zur Verfügung, der schnell wärmt. Luis hat uns bei der Ankunft begrüsst und am Schluss verabschiedet, ansonsten ist man absolut privat dort. Ich bin mir sicher, dass Luis hilfsbereit zur Seite steht, wenn seine Hilfe benötigt wird. Das «Cozy Cottag» ist ideal, um als Paar Tage in New York zu verbringen. Die Hauptstrasse ist um die Ecke und da hat es viele Shops und Restaurants. Nebst dem Expressbus nach Manhattan ist auch die Subway nicht allzu weit entfernt und ein günstigerer Weg, um nach Manhattan zu gelangen. Wir können die Unterkunft empfehlen und bedanken uns für die Gastfreundschaft.

  Comments: This place has been one of my favorite airbnbs I've stayed at. It was so clean and well prepared. It was a great location and offered a lot of privacy. The walls were a little thin so we did hear if someone was walking by outside and it was a little cold, but they had electric heaters which helped keep it warm. It was a perfect size for two people and all the thought that went to the extra amenities (like snacks and instant noodles and utensils) was so impressive.

  Comments: Literally the nicest shed I’ve ever seen! I can tell Luis put a lot of thought into the cottage. I arrived pretty late from dinner with friends, and had a little trouble unlocking the key. Luis was a phone call away and did not seem bothered that I called so late. The bed was SUPER comfy! The shower took a while to get warm, but eventually it was perfect. The toilet was clogged upon my arrival. I did not see a plunger ( I may have not looked hard enough because I was in a rush in the morning). The fridge is stocked with snacks and beverages. This was such a thoughtful touch. My only complaint was how cold it was. There were 2 heaters, but they didn’t do much because outside was super cold. Aside from that, it was a great stay.

  Comments: We enjoyed our stay but it was freezing and the shed had no real heat, only plug in radiators and they did an alright job, but they’re the old style that took a really long time to heat up. So it took us a while to get comfortable. After few hours of them cranking it gets pretty cozy in there! Other than that it was cute, clean, and convenient! The snacks were a great touch! Thanks!

Luis was very prompt and welcomed us very pleasantly. The place is in the Bronx, located close to a police station and main road, so it is very safe. We would come home at 12-1am without any issues. The place also has a rite aid close by (5 mins walk) and if you are hungry, there's an amazing pizza place called Cestra's (very friendly), which is also 5 mins away. The place is a little far from Manhattan but an express bus (BxM8, approx. 10 mins walk) will take you to Manhattan (30 mins to 1 hr during rush hrs). The express bus costs $6.50/1 way. When you reach Manhattan, you can buy an unlimited 7 day pass for subways and local buses (does not include express buses) for approx. $35/person. Overall, our experience was great.

I was already a bit distraught because the tornados left me without power and cell phone service. I had a very long drive but upon arrival Luis was extremely nice and helpful! He had great hospitality skills! Left snacks for us to enjoy! And we did end up enjoying all of them Lol :) This was exactly what I expected, very cute and cozy. My girlfriend loved it and the area was very nice and quiet.

  Comments: Luis is a super friendly person. Made me feel comfortable instantly. Something to be said for friendly eyes and a firm handshake. The check in is as good as it gets. Lock box on the door. Luis had communicated the lock box password before hand so I walked right in like it was my own place. His place is clean and private and the parking spot is amazing given NYC and it’s parking costs. He even leaves you some snacks and drinks in his mini bar and the bathroom, although small, had clean towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner on the wall in the shower . Nice touch. If I had to gripe about one thing it would be the fact there is no cable TV and the WiFi signal is bad so even though he has Roku to watch shows it barely worked. But I didn’t come for that so it didn’t bother me too much. The neighborhood felt safe and even though it’s not next door to Manhattan the express bus is only a two minute walk from his door and a twenty minute ride to Central Park. The deli on the corner at the bus stop sells metro passes so very convenient. $26USD will get you a full day of transit. All of this to say that I feel $150CAD a night is fair and I would stay at Luis’ again.

The cottage itself is amazing. Check in was easy, and it is very clean and tidy. It is equipped with all the essentials, and the fridge and counter were even stocked with snacks and drinks which was a really nice touch. The location is great, a nice neighbourhood which felt very safe even when coming back after midnight. There is an express bus to the city and the stop is just about a 10-15 minute walk away so traveling to and from was very easy.   Comments: The place is overall good with almost everything you could want from a place and with some nice bonuses such as free parking and snacks and drinks provided. However there are some things that let it down, for example, the bathroom is very small, the shower area is tiny and hard to use and the toilet gets blocked easily making it a frequent problem (although the owner will fix it quickly on request). Also the fridge is very loud which is annoying when trying to sleep.

  Comments: The inside of this guest house is nicer than the photos! It’s clean with an extremely comfortable bed. The unlock system was extremely easy as well as hopping on to the Netflix account. The room also provided snacks and drinks which we were grateful for. We also went for a beautiful walk between 5-7pm and the neighborhood is so peaceful. Luis was very responsive especially when I needed to move my car very early in the morning for work. We appreciated our privacy and enjoyed our time at the location. I know you would too!

  Comments: I think this place is a great value it has everything you’ll need, better than a hote for sure, it has a mini fridge, microwave and other amenities, it was also clean and cozy. The host Louis was kind and went above and beyond to make our visit worthwhile. Check in process was quick and easy there’s a lock box next to the door simply align the numbers in the middle lane with the code and you’ll get access to the key. I have nothing bad to say about this place or the host. It’s close to La Guardia airport and there’s even a McDonalds nearby within walking distance and other restaurants. Some notes: I would recommend this place to those traveling by foot or public transportation. Parking was really hard to find after 7pm, there are paid parking meters from 11-7pm, I found it troublesome having to coming out every two hours to pay for the meter since I couldn’t find parking. The host was kind enough to allow me to use his private drive away. That was a nice gesture of him. I wish I would have traveled using a taxi or public transportation. Nonetheless like I said this is a great place to stay and it was lovey despite the hard to find parking. (In NYC is hard to find parking anyway so if you’re traveling from abroad save yourself the headache and don’t rent a car) don’t let this decoupage you from staying at this great cottage. It’s a good value :)

The bus stop to the subway was only about 3 blocks away making it extremely easy to travel to the city. Luis also has plenty of parking if needed. The cottage was super clean and very comfortable.   Comments: Luis place is absolutely as cozy as advertised and he is a superb host. It's located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood. We stayed 2 nights. Luis generously allowed us to park at the end of the private driveway for the duration of our visit. Check-in was easy, the key is in a coded lockbox, with security cameras & lights (which helped us feel secure). The space was immaculately clean and cleverly designed. Very welcoming. The host left some snacks and beverages in the fridge, a welcome touch after a long multi-hour drive. There is a 24hr Pharmacy up the street, perfect for snacks and delivery pizza chain available until 2am. As well as plenty of other restaurants & grocery options a short walk from the doorstep. We were able to easily catch an express bus into Manhattan only 3-4 blocks away. The first night the outside temps dropped to 30°F but we wouldn't have known we were nice and cozy in the cottage! If we visit NYC again we will def try to book with Luis.

  Comments: Loved staying here! Very convenient to public transportation. Cousins was a great pizza place literally around the block, 5 minute walk. Luis was great and always responded very quickly! It was just my daughter and me, and we came back at 11pm one night by the bus. I wouldn’t recommend that to females alone - it was a longer walk to where the bus let us off at that time than when we got on in the morning (when they make more stops), and that was a bit unsettling to walk 1/2 mile without many other people around in a dark place I wasn’t familiar with, and just us girls. This has no reflection on Luis’ place or location, rather an inexperienced tourist lesson learned. I wouldn’t want to walk anywhere new at 11pm, and didn’t realize we would until we were in the situation. If coming back that late again, I’d take a cab/Uber. Really enjoyed our stay!
