  Comments: The apartment is very tastefully furnished, well equipped, clean. Communication with Manuel was perfect at any time, and he also has very flexible check-in times. It is very central and you can reach everything on foot. As already described in the description it is on the weekend loud as there are some bars and clubs in the vicinity. This did not bother us, we felt very comfortable & Will come back again.

  Comments: A really nice apartment. Incredible location and the facilities available in the apartment were spot on. Manuel was very helpful during problems (for example with electricity) and suggesting things (like restaurants, things to see). The only con was: the noise from outside, especially from a couple of clubs around and the people coming from it. And finding a parking spot. The parking garages around the apartment costed way too much, but with a little walk there were a couple cheaper options!

The apartment is as per the photos in a very central location near all the main sites and at the top of the hill which makes walking around easy. Due to its location it is very noisy including through the night with bars nearby. This is mentioned in the listing.

  Comments: Great location, located right (Email hidden by Airbnb) fortable appartment, equipped with everything. Very nice and authentic look and Manuel is very cooperative. Elevator can save lots of energy .we counted 76 stairs to our apartment... The only problem was the noises at night. The street sound from trafic and espaicly from the people hunging out. In total we love the place.

  Comments: We had a fabulous time staying at Manuel's apartment in Porto. We were four girls so with two twin rooms and two bathrooms it was just perfect. The flat was well equipped in a perfect location close to all of the hub bub of the city which was what we wanted. The flat itself itself if really pretty and when if not walking around discovering Porto you'll happily spend time indoors in the bright and airy apartment. Manuel was so helpful with organising taxis, checking we were ok via msg and giving us loads of hints and tips to get the most out of weekend. Thanks Manuel, we will be back!

  Comments: The apartment is great! Lovely place, and perfect location. Every picture at the listing is real as advertised. The place is big enough for 6 people. You should know though that it is a kind of loft place, so there isn't too much privacy. If you don't care for that in your visit, the place is really great. I think it would be difficult to top it at that price

  Comments: Gostámos muito da casa. Está num local muito central. Perto de tudo o que queríamos conhecer! É um 4.º andar sem elevador mas sobe-se razoavelmente bem. Durante a noite ouve-se barulho na rua, mas isso está muito bem especificado nas observações. Não recomendo para quem tem o sono leve. A casa é maravilhosa, a decoração fantástica, ainda é maior do que parece nas fotografias. Não conhecemos pessoalmente o Manuel mas esteve sempre “presente” , muito atencioso e preocupado.

  Comments: El apartamento es precioso, especial, más de lo que enseñan las fotos porque su diseño es diferente y difícil de imaginar hasta que lo ves. Perfecto para cuatro o seis personas con sus dos habitaciones y sofá cama y sus dos baños. Eso sí, uno de los dormitorios está suspendido sobre el salón por lo que si quieres privacidad o con quien compartes el apartamento ve la tele o tiene encendida la luz y eso te molesta, es un inconveniente. Sin embargo, en mi opinión, es ese dormitorio suspendido sobre el salón lo que le da un encanto especial y es algo que solo una casa antigua con techos abuhardillados, permite. Es un diseño ingenioso que a mí me ha encantado. La única pega, que es un cuarto sin ascensor pero después de las cuestas que hay que subir en Oporto, es una cuesta más, sin más. Además al ser un edificio antiguo, es un encanto más subir una escalera con historia. El apartamento está en pleno centro. La torre de los Clérigos se te cae encima de lo cerca que esta. Al lado, la librería Lello e Irmao, la estación Sao Bento... es una ubicación estupenda, con un parking al lado.... El anfitrión muy atento, nos ha resuelto todas las dudas y nos ha dado buenos consejos. Oporto nos ha encantado y sin ninguna duda, si volvemos nos alojaremos de nuevo en este apartamento. Además de su privilegiada ubicación y su especial diseño, el alojarse en un apartamento con arraigo, sin duda tiene un plus.

  Comments: Manuel is an outstanding host: gives you all relevant information and more; makes everything easy for a successful stay; is very reactive when asked for a service. The flat's localization is highly convenient if you want to be based downtown and have an easy access to all places to see and all transportation. It is well equipped and nicely designed. A lovely place for 4 people, especially with kids. One big drawback: the flat is very, very noisy, even at night. Be prepared for it. And it may be cold as well if it is not warm outside.

  Comments: EL alojamiento tiene un emplazamiento inmejorable. La comunicación con Manuel es fluida porque contesta muy rápido, aunque en mi caso, no le he visto personalmente, tampoco ha sido necesario. Las recomendaciones sobre restaurantes y sitios para conocer, nos las ha facilitado vía mail y este tipo de información, a mi me gusta más recibirlo directamente pero, en todo caso, es un extra. La casa está limpia y tiene un poco de todo para hacerte la vida más fácil. La pila es un poco pequeña y dificulta fregar pero.... es poca cosa. El parking es caro pero al parecer hay bonos de 24 horas, si bien, yo no supe cómo contratarlo. Para descargar, la calle no da muchas opciones y es complicado si bien el parking está a escasos 100 m. La evaluación general es muy positiva y lo recomiendo.

Mais nous avons eu très froid : les climatisations réversibles installées en hauteur ne chauffent que les mezzanines > donc pas de soucis pour la nuit. Mais la pièce de vie mériterait un bon chauffage d’appoint. Rue TRÈS passagère donc très bruyante > boules quies indispensables pour dormir !

The house is in an unbeatable location near important spots such as torre dos clerigos and lello library. Cool views. The apartment is newly refurbished and very lightly. The beds are very comfortable and the shower and hot water work perfectly . We were a group of 6 and we all definitely recommend it. The only bad thing is that in rainy and windy days the house is a bit cold.

Yes, it can be noisy (especially if you are there for last game of the season ... and Porto FC are champions) but earplugs go a long way and it is so convenient for bus, train, taxis etc. Would heartily recommend!

  Comments: Manuel’s apartment in central old town Porto is just beautiful. The loft bedrooms are such lovely spaces and the added bonus of two bathrooms with teenage kids certainly made our stay even more relaxing! The beds and pillows were super-comfy and from the apartment’s location, we were able to walk everywhere! We parked our car in the nearby carpark and didn’t return to it until the end of our Porto holiday. The only thing that we feel we should mention is that late at night (and early morning) the noise from the busy local streets can be heard. This is especially the case as the apartment is located near the bar areas - I guess being so centrally located is a bit of a double edged sword. Once we adjusted to the noise, we were absolutely fine - but if you’re a light sleeper, this may pose as a problem. We loved the aesthetic of Manuel’s apartment and our stay in beautiful Porto was wonderful.

  Comments: We planned a girls trip to Portugal for 8 days. The first leg of it to Porto. Wow! The apartment was perfect, exactly as described and in the center of everything! Porto was by far our favorite town that we visited and Manuel was friendly and helpful with suggestions on things to do and places to see. It is definitely a 4th floor walk up, but the view of the cathedral is incredible from the Juliet balcony. We would definitely stay here again if we came back to Porto.

  Comments: The view is astonishing! And the beds are very comfortable. Really beautiful and unique space to stay! For those worried about noise, you will definitely hear street noise on Friday and Saturday. However, we didn't really mind that. Manuel was very helpful and shared great tips for places to eat and see. We could walk to almost everything from the apartment. Thanks, Manuel!

  Comments: great location with walking distance to everything. it's in the heart of the city so expect noise in the early hours. I would say the optimum occupancy would be 4 people due to apartment size. Bedrooms are open plan and in the roof eaves so not ideal for 6foot + people but still perfectly adequate. overall good apartment and Manuel was a fantastic host!

La única pega que se le puede decir es que está en una zona de mucha vida nocturna y al no estar insonorizado es difícil conciliar el sueño.   Comments: The apartment is beautiful and finely decorated. It's very clean and the kitchen is equipped with all necessary amenities. The location is great, because all main attractions are within a 15 minute walk. All perfect, if it wasn't for the room temperature and the noise coming from the street. In the apartment there's no heating, but just A/C, which may be good in the summer but not in the winter. If you want the living room not to be too cold you have to switch the air conditioner on, but if you do the bedrooms will get too hot. It's not easy to find the right balance, so you'll either be too cold downstairs or too hot upstairs. What makes things worse however is the noise coming from the street. When I read the many reviews about this I thought "Come on, it can't be that bad"... Yes, it can! People in Porto seem never to be sleeping. From the apartment you can hear people screeming and shouting, playing very loud music and car horns all night long. Even if you accidentally manage to fall asleep, you'll be waken up repeatedly during the night. If I put together all the short fractions of sleep we managed to get, we probably slept 1 night out of 3. On check-out day we were just happy to leave, looking forward to getting some rest somewhere else! As for the host, we never got to meet him, but he sent us very detailed explanations about self check-in and some tips on things to see and to do.

  Comments: Clean, spacious and perfect location! What more can you ask for? It looks exactly like the pics (maybe even a little bigger). Plenty of space for 4 people- or even 5 or 6. From the main room, you have an amazing view of the clergios tower. When you look out, you will see people standing 10 feet from the building all taking pics of the beautiful view. Manuel was great to work with. Very accommodating and quick to respond. Would definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to make it back to Porto.

  Comments: Manuels apartment is located in the Vitoria district in a great spot very close to Sao Bento Station, hence central to many interesting sites. It is spacious, flooded with natural sunshine and light. The space can sleep 6 comfortably, but I must mention that it can be very noisy on weekend nights. Did not stop us from having fun!! Porto is a very pretty city and all roads lead to the river! A great spot to start your discovery of the fine Portuguese wines and ports! The people are welcoming and tourism is of great benefit to the country. Enjoy!!!
