Space: Our house has a double bedroom available with wardrobe and guest's own bathroom. There is also an upstairs lounge with balcony and sea views for guests to use. We have a pool or, alternatively, Malabar beach is a 2 minute walk away. The airport is 15km away (20mins in a cab), the city is 15km away, and a bus stop just around the corner that takes you straight into the city. A cab or uber will take about 20mins to the city, the bus can take for 40 - 50 mins.

Neighborhood Overview: The beach is at the bottom of the road. Surrounded by golf courses! Malabar is one of Sydney's best kept secrets - quiet beach not far from the city. Gentle waves with no rips so ideal for families and fishermen! There are 3 coffee shops 5 minutes walk away, along with take aways, a couple of restaurants, a convenience store and a pharmacy. There is a children's playground and BBQ area right next to the beach. Coastal Walks around the headland and in surrounding suburbs. Maroubra is a short drive away with another great beach, surfing, and plenty of restaurants. Little Bay & La Perouse are also a short drive or couple of bus stops away with restaurants, take away shops and yet more beaches.

Notes: There is a TV / monitor in the lounge, but no TV channels available. If you have streaming apps on your apple devices (netflix, seven etc) these can plugged into the TV via an HDMI cable. We also have a dog FYI - if this is a problem please contact us prior to booking.

Transit: There are buses from outside the house (number 399), directly into the city, travelling past the beaches, Randwick, Centennial Park and the SCG, ending at Circular Quay. This can take 40 - 50 mins depending upon traffic. There are also frequent buses from Anzac Parade (approx 5- 10 mins walk) to the city and Central Station. These buses take a more direct route and can be a little quicker into the city.

Access: Guests can have free use of the pool and upstairs lounge. Unlimited WiFi for free.

Interaction: This is as much or as little as guests require - we can give advice on how to get around, where to get the best coffee (in our opinion anyway!), the best places to go. Or we can leave you alone to discover Sydney yourselves.

    Comments: Great place, location and room. Fiona was a great host and she also let us use a tv room in the second floor. Room and bathroom were clean and we had everything we needed. She provided guidance on public transport and places to visit. Jackson, her dog, is lovely and very calm. We definitely recommend this. place.

    Comments: Mon copain et moi avons passé un mois chez Fiona. La maison est parfaite, très grande et la chambre se situe au premier étage. Tout était propre, on avait notre salle de bain privée ainsi qu'un balcon et qu'un salon avec TV pour nous. Fiona et Steeve sont des personnes formidables avec qui on peut facilement discuter. Leur chien Jackson est très câlin et super gentil (très sage). Je recommande cette chambre à tout le monde !

    Comments: I chose Fiona’s place because it was near Randwick Golf Course . Steve and Fiona where helpful and accommodating with you feeling obliged to continuously chat. They left us to the upstairs area with privacy yet with the added benefit of being able to reach out downstairs to them when needed
