  Comments: We stayed 4 nights and everything was very good. James is a very nice guy and kind to the guests .. The house is very clean, the rooms and bathrooms too. Ideal for a few days in New York. It is located in an area with very good communication, the subway is less than 5 minutes walk. Recommended!!!!

  Comments: We loved staying at James' place! It's a great spot for any length of stay in Manhattan. Their lovely home is quite convenient to subway stops in a few directions for heading downtown or further uptown. The north side of Central Park is but a few steps away and we enjoyed exploring Harlem from their location. We found their home to be bright, clean, spacious, cozy and comfortable -- an oasis from the bustling city and just right for unwinding inside and also outside in their awesome backyard. Oh, yes -- their family includes a cutie of a very friendly dog, too! James and Tom are exceptional hosts, easy to be around in the shared spaces, great conversationalists and excellent with recommendations when we were on the go. We miss them!

  Comments: We loved everything about it. The dogs instantly felt at home. Spending time with them in the back yard was awesome. Coming back to the neighborhood and Central Park brought back great memories. But meeting James and Tom was definitely the highlight of the weekend.

Hubble (the dog) was very sweet as well. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had great temperature control (although the weather was perfect this trip). We highly recommend staying here!

  Comments: From the moment we arrived to the aroma of homemade cookies we knew we had made a fantastic choice. The rest of our stay proved this to be the case. Jim is an experienced host who managed to make us feel completely at home and went the extra mile to ensure we had an enjoyable and comfortable stay e.g. homemade bagels and cupcakes. The place was spotlessly clean, quiet and the beds were extremely comfortable. The location was fantastic for Central Park and subway stations. We had a lovely room each and a bathroom and separate toilet to ourselves. It felt truly felt home from home.

  Comments: James and Tom are supper nice hosts, their reception made people feels like at home, especially I suddenly caught cold and fever during my stay, they took care of me and helped me a lot, tons of thanks indeed ,and love to have good conversation with them too. The apartment is big and very clean, bed is very comfortable, the location is convenient too, there’re serval subway lines just near by in 5mins walking, and there is Central Park North close by, very easy to walk around. People love NYC is not because of the amazing city, but also because the amazing people lived in NYC just like James and Tom.

  Comments: James and his husband, Tom, were the most wonderful hosts. Their place was clean, they were very communicative, and they made sure we always had everything we needed. Their dog, Hubble, was also a gracious host. Lots of love from him and he was very friendly and welcoming to my dog as well. The private bedroom and the whole space in general is large by NYC standards. They also have a private backyard, from which your room will have plenty of natural light. I could not have asked for anything more, especially considering the price. I would stay again in a heartbeat and recommend James & Tom’s place to anyone that is looking for a safe, central, affordable place to stay.

  Comments: James and Tom were excellent. James was very responsive -- the place was very clean and we had our toilets! If you are bit sensitive to noise like I was, I was suggest to bring earbuds. New York can get pretty noisy. Their apartment was conveniently located right around the corner from the subway. Definitely would stay here again.

  Comments: Jimmy, Tom and Hubbles are wonderful hosts. We loved the hospitality and the chitchats we had during our stay. Jimmy was very responsive before our arrival. A parking spot was good to find (one block) and the neighborhood felt safe. The location is great and close to Central Park, Restaurants, Bus/Metro Stations. We will definitely come back on our next NYC trip. They really deserve the title “super hosts”.

  Comments: Great location, clean & spacious and comfortable rooms, friendly & knowledgeable host; banks and restaurants, groceries and pharmacy close by. (Even got an emergency dental problem handled next day, affordably!) All 4 of us made great memories, slept soundly, and saved money by staying with James! (A beer in the backyard did tough competition with going out for a drink!) No concerns about safety; saw some homeless folks sleeping next to the cathedral at night but they were quiet & respectful. Walks & (Citibike) bike rides in the park were a highlight of our trip. Large public pool nearby is great for laps, recreation or therapy.

  Comments: James makes staying at his place comfortable and easy. He's fun and interesting to talk to, the bedrooms have all of the amenities needed (beds are comfortable), and the place is clean. James even made us welcome muffins!!! How much friendlier of a host do you need? James' place is also close to the subway and close to Rite Aid which is almost a grocery store where you can get almost anything you'd need. There are also restaurants in the area which is convenient. I'd definitely stay here again. Hopefully, I have enough time to come back and take advantage of the comfy looking backyard!!! =)

Small touches like waters in the fridge, baked goodies and being lent an umbrella when it’s raining are fantastic when you are a long way from home!   Comments: Aufgrund der bisherigen Bewertungen, waren wir sehr gespannt auf die Unterkunft. Was soll man sagen, aber alles bisher positiv geschriebene fanden wir genauso vor. James und Tom sind tolle Gastgeber, bei denen man sich einfach wohl fühlen muss. Alles war sauber, gut ausgestattet und gemütlich. Zudem konnte man die Küche und das Wohnzimmer mit nutzen, wobei die Gastgeber immer sehr zurückhaltend und meistens auf ihrer Etage waren. Die Lage empfanden wir als richtig gut. Sowohl Subway als auch Fahrradverleih (Citibikes) waren sehr schnell zu erreichen und der Central Park quasi direkt vor der Haustür. Wir können die Gastgeber und die Unterkunft mit bestem Gewissen weiterempfehlen und werden sicher wiederkommen.

  Comments: James es encantador a la hora de recibirte y pone todas las facilidades tanto para la llegada como para la salida. Ahora bien, debería especificar que entra y sale del apto. cada vez que él quiere ya que se queda en el piso de abajo y para entrar y salir debe pasar por el mismo, por lo que saliendo de la ducha te lo puedes encontrar, además con su perro. Excelente ubicación con línea c 110 station que te lleva a cualquier punto interesante de la ciudad.

  Comments: Perfect location if you are visiting Manhattan...if you prefer the feel of staying with family/friends for a few days over a hotel room and don’t mind a shared common space concept you will love this airbnb! Hosts are so friendly and welcoming, but also will limit interaction based on the guests wants/needs. The extra-special thoughtful touch of having a plate of home-baked Christmas treats waiting for us when we arrived 12/22 that magically replenished itself each morning was very appreciated! We also enjoyed cuddles with their precious dog Hubble!

Great restaurants within walking distance and a safe neighborhood. James and Tom were awesome with advice for getting around and local attractions. And after a full day of exploring there was nothing better than settling into the most comfortable beds EVER!! We will definitely be back!!
