  Comments: Beautiful beach just a few blocks from the house, nicely put together room (snacks and a french press waiting for us when we arrived) and very friendly hosts. Not as easy to get to anywhere other than the beach. We didn't have a car the whole time we were there, and the bus line that runs nearby doesn't run often enough to easily get around by public transit.

  Comments: My stay in Waialua exceeded my expectations. Such a great location (5-minute drive to old Haleiwa Town, 5-minute stroll to the beach) and your own mini fridge in your room. Most of all, Julia and Tomas were very generous, welcoming, and easygoing. I absolutely recommend staying here!

  Comments: Tomas and Julia were wonderful hosts. They made sure that we felt welcomed and at home. We arrived earlier than check in and since the room was ready our hosts graciously allowed us access. The bathroom was very clean and so was the shower. The room had AC (thank goodness because it was VERY hot and humid during our stay!). Tomas and Julia kept the room stocked with coffee and cookies. We brought yogurt and granola bars and trail mix and kept them in the fridge so they wouldn't melt from the heat. All in all, our hosts were very kind and attentive. One thing I will note though, is the street was undergoing construction that we were not notified about. On the day we arrived, crews had just started stripping off the top layer of asphalt on the street and were preparing to finish and redo all new asphalt over the duration of our stay. Host rules dictated that we were to park on the street, which was no longer possible, so we had to park around the corner and down the block (or risk having our car towed if we didn't wake up at 7am to move the car before construction started for the day). As we usually left around 8am and didn't come back until late in the evening, it wasn't too much of an issue, but we would have definitely appreciated a heads up. Outside of that, our hosts were pretty cool. Julia even gave us directions to find some tidepools we've been looking for on the east side of the island. All in all, I would recommend a stay with our hosts.

  Comments: I had a great stay in their beautiful home. You could tell that it was recently renovated. There was plenty of street parking. The room was stocked with a mini-fridge with bottles of water and snacks as well as things for the beach. Everyone was very relaxed. Check-in and check-out was easy, smooth, and flexible.

  Comments: Tomas & Lucas' place was all we hoped for. A great place to feel at home for our N. Shore stay with gracious hosts who were very responsive and kind when I realized I failed to book the 3rd night of our stay...oops! The room is very comfy for two, and the guest fridge was nice and big - perfect if you need to stock up on local treats during your stay (they also provide some nice ones). The mattress was firm and we slept great. Awesome shower - and since I had to work while there I should also note the wifi was stable and speedy! And their home is spotless. We were interested in swimming and snorkeling but if you're there to run or surf I'm sure they'd give you great suggestions about where to go! Thanks Julia &Tomas--definitely will keep you on my Oah'u list.

  Comments: Very clean place, with a private beach in walking distance (5 minutes) and excellent food trucks near by. Tomas and Julia were able to accommodate for the three of us (we rented both rooms). Unfortunately at times I felt we were taking over the place, but they were very sweet about it. The beach towels and snorkel masks provided were a bonus for our beach hopping. I will definitely keep their place in mind for the future.

We were very happy with our stay, considering what we understood to be the terms/conditions. We have no issues with sharing a kitchen and bathroom. Tomas also provided some beach towels and beach gear, which was very nice.

  Comments: Tomás' home was absolutely beautiful, and we had the most incredible time staying there. The location is literally 'steps from sand' and every morning we could watch the sunrise on the beach, that was basically a private beach (only a few people from the neighborhood were out there at a time). The home was very well decorated and clean, and Tomás was very quick to respond whenever we had any questions at all. Very convenient location, it was just a ~8 minute drive to get into the Haleʻiwa town center, with a bunch of surf shops, restaurants, etc. Everything about our trip was excellent, and allowed us to completely relax & bring ~aloha vibes~ back to busy NYC :)

Everyday after watching the sunrise on our own private beach a block from the house, we took mini road trips to the local beaches and scooped out all the delicious food trucks. Tomas told us where the best hikes were and made us special cheese bread. This cute, newly renovated and cozy home had lovely extras like beach towels and coffee in the morning!   Comments: Tomas and Linda’s house was is charming! When you walk in, you can see their beach theme decor through out the house. It is so clean. The bedroom is right across from the bathroom. Having the AC in our room gave us a great nights rest. There is a good sized mini fridge in the closet plus some hangers. They have thoughtfully included what you would need for a trip to the beach. Parking was easy, we had no issues with street parking (it’s on a residential street with plenty of room.) The house is in a great location, you are about a 2 minute drive to Haleiwa. We felt right at home and would definitely stay with them again.

  Comments: Die Unterkunft von Thomas und Lucas ist super sauber und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit vielen schönen Details. Wir konnten ohne Verkündigung vor dem check in unsere Koffer bereits abstellen und an den gleich um die Ecke gelegen Strand gehen. Strandhandtücher standen zur Verfügung. Im Kühlschrank war Wasser für uns kalt gestellt sowie ein paar Überraschungen. Zu den Restaurants waren es nur ein paar Minuten mit dem Auto. Das Parken auf der Strasse war auch kein Problem es war vor dem Haus immer etwas frei. Das Haus ist ruhig gelegen. Klimaanlage war in unserem Zimmer vorhanden hatten wir aber nicht nutzen müssen. Wir hatten schnelles Internet. Die Anweisungen zum Zugang der Unterkunft waren sehr verständlich und einfach. Kuschelige Gästehandtücher und eins der besten Shampoos und Spülungen die ich je hatte :-)

Just staying one night I missed the chance to meet Thomas, however there was always great communication between us. Also in a great spot on the North shore, I recommend this place to anyone. The beach is close to walk down and enjoy listening to the waves. The room itself had wonderful decor, and quality linens. All the small touches throughout were thoughtful and well appointed. The space was very clean and the hosts were very friendly. You really had no idea if they were even home most of the time. If you’re a night owl or tend to be a louder person it may not be the rental for you. But if you enjoy a quiet area in a sleepy town compared to Waikiki.. this is the place!

While there is AC in the room, I was advised twice within the first ten minutes of arrival of the “rules” for using it despite it being near 90 inside the home. The host, who were not Tomas and Lucas as advertised, attempted to tell me “ things are done differently here in Hawaii” which may have worked but because multi generations of my family have lived on island for years, I know that to be false. As a local visitor, I was disappointed in how unwelcoming we were made to feel. So much so that my sister left early to just stay at home; why stick around to be reminded of the shoe policy or to keep the bedroom doors closed at all times. At one point, the female host even told my sister she would be charged $50 for having her infant daughter with her, something that we had inquired about prior to arrival. I tried to call Air bnb to cancel the remaining night because it simply was not enjoyable or worth the expense and they were not helpful in the slightest. I’ve used this service countless times in many areas including Hawaii and have never had an experience quite like this one. It saddens me because I raved to family how great the service is but in this case, not so much. I have an affinity for the area and I hope others will find a welcoming place to experience the aloha of the islands but this place wasn’t it for us at least. Most importantly, a major hurricane was scheduled to hit the island during our visit. It would have been humane for the hosts to offer some support but we heard nothing from them. Again, Airbnb was useless and offered no advice.

  Comments: We were looking for something out of the hustle and bustle of the main village and this is the perfect room. Only 5 mins from the village. A short walk to a beach. The room was clean and linens and towels were of a high quality. The a/c in the room cools it down quickly an there are snacks and drinks in the small fridge in the room. The room also provides some snorkel gear as well as beach towels and some sun protection lotions. We can’t recommend this place enough. We didn’t see Tomas and Julia that often but we knew they were there if we needed anything.

North shore (and short drive distance) area has a lot to do and it is perfect location to have a base. Only 2 little concerned were Near by beach was not great when we were there (this is not your guys fault!) and the cooler/fan in the room was quite laude ( it was not too hot when we were there so we managed ok though!) But otherwise, they prepared great room and amenities (drinks and even a little snacks!) and we stayed there comfortably. Thank you so much!

Everything was clean and tidy, plus there were some snacks and hawaiian beer in the mini fridge as a welcome. Also, it is pretty close to town. Could walk if needed but you'd be better off with a rental.
