  Comments: This is a great little apartment for a couple - brand new, super clean, well appointed and so conveniently located - quick walk across the bridge (or by the water taxi) to Rebeira, and I think actually better to be a bit away from the other side. You will feel less like you are in a tourist ghetto at Maria's place. Maria is lovely, btw and extremely helpful!

  Comments: What a find this apartment is! It was tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed and good soundproofing from the street. We were next door to a great shop selling handmade cork products, a couple of small local supermarkets and a great restaurant on the street. We were a stones throw from the river front and in the heart of Porto wine caves area. Marie was a good host, waited to greet us upon arrival and left us some welcome goodies. I recommend Porto to anyone as it won't disappoint.

  Comments: The apartment is located perfectly steps from the Douro river and port tasting rooms. A quick and beautiful 10 minute walk over the bridge. The check in was seamless, we arrived earlier than planned and Maria was there to meet us and show us into the parking garage. The garage is a bit tight getting in and out so if you're renting a car go for a compact. Once inside the apartment was lovely, clean and well decorated. Maria offered a choice of one full size bed or two twins which was perfect since we were friends traveling. Maria was a terrific host and available to help with questions and suggestions. Would definitely stay again if I returned to Porto.

  Comments: Maria's apartment is in a perfect location. It was impeccably clean and had everything we needed and more. The welcome gift was a nice touch. Maria is a wonderful host. As the apartment hadn't been occupied the night before, she let us park the car early and drop off our bags before check-in as we had booked a tour for the day. Would definitely stay at her place again if I'm ever back in Porto.

  Comments: Maria is a very nice person and it was a pleasure to meet her. She was helpful and easy to reach, especially since she lives in the same building. The appartment is beautiful, clean and comfortable. It must have been renovated very recently, as everything looks brand new. It is located close to the river, the restaurants, bridge, etc. The location is ideal but it is also on a commercial street so bear in mind that it gets active pretty early in the morning as shop owners prepare for the day. The seagulls and other animals also get going early so you may have to get up and close the windows if you want to sleep in. The area is quite peaceful at night, though. We loved staying there and would definitely do so again in the future. Highly recommended!

  Comments: We called Maria about an hour before arrival and she met us to access the private garage and check into the apartment. It is the most ideal location since you do not need a car in Porto and know it is secure. In my research, many hotels did not have on site parking or the cost would vary. All of the port houses are there and the neighbourhood felt safe. There is a spectacular view of the city, and the train station is about 10-15m away. It was convenient for the boat cruise as well. The apartment is spotless and well-appointed and comfortable. Great to have so much extra space. I would highly recommend staying here!

  Comments: We spent 6 nights at Maria’s place and we were really comfortable ! The bed is so comfortable and even for the baby :) the shade cut all the light in the room ror a better sleep. Its a small appartment but perfect for a couple with a baby. The location is amazing ! Close to everything , walkable so easily around the city of porto. Maria was a great host , really comprehensive! My boyfriend was sick for the check out and she manage with other guests to let us stay for 1 more night to let him recovered. She let us know that if we were in need for anything she could take care of it for us. She is always available . The hardest part when your not use to it is to park the car in the garage ! Wow it was the first time we took an elevetor with a car ! Such a great experience when you are not afraid to drive in porto. Thanks again for everything

  Comments: Maria's apartment is perfect for visiting the port houses and popping across the bridge to central Porto. You stay at stone's throw away from numerous bars, restaurants, port houses and the river. Even though our flight was delayed and we arrived close to midnight, Maria and Paulo met us and made check in really easy. When we checked out they were kind enough to let us leave our car in the free space for the afternoon. We couldn't fault our stay!

  Comments: Die Wohnung ist ideal gelegen, nah am Zentrum, aber in einer weniger hektischen, malerischen Gegend, die sich nicht von Touristen überlaufen anfühlt. Die Wohnung selbst ist sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Möglichkeit, das Parkhaus für unseren Mietwagen zu nutzen, war super komfortabel. Und nicht zu vergessen, Maria ist eine fantastische Gastgeberin, sie gibt eine Menge Tipps und ist schnell erreichbar. Sie hat mich sogar vom Flughafen abgeholt, als sich unsere Pläne änderten und ich alleine nachts in Porto ankam. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben!

  Comments: There were so many great things about this apartment so I am going to try to narrow it down. Paulo was in constant communication with us prior to our arrival and was very accommodating despite us not having an exact time until a few hours before our arrival in Porto. He met us and directed us where to park. The parking garage is just across the street from the apartment. We then all walked over to the apartment where he showed us to our home for the next 3 days. The first thing I noticed was how amazing the apartment smelled. Everything was spotless and even better than the pictures described. The bed was extremely comfortable and the black out shades allowed us to sleep in which we hadn't done on our vacation until then. The location of the apartment was perfect and quiet although close to everything. In the morning we would heard fado music as we walked down the street. Such a quaint area of the city. We cannot wait to stay here next year when we visit Porto again!!

  Comments: Ein sehr tolles Apartment in exzellenter Lage in Vila Nova de Gaia (auf der anderen Flußseite von Porto) in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße zur Promenade. Die Portweinkeller und die Promenade liegen nur 1 Minute zu Fuß entfernt. In die Altstadt nach Porto sind es 10-15 Minuten zu Fuß oder mit dem Rivertaxi in ca. 3 Minuten für 3 € pro Person. Minimarkt und Restaurant in direkter Umgebung. Maria und Paulo waren sehr fürsorglich und haben für unser 11 Monate altes Baby ein Babybett, ein Babyhochstuhl und Spielzeug zur Verfügung gestellt. Wir können dieses Apartment nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

  Comments: Ma fille et moi-même avons passé un excellent séjour chez Maria, disponible dès notre arrivée tardive en soirée à l'aéroport pour nous amener jusqu'à son appartement. Réactive à chaque fois que nous avons eu quelques questions à lui poser. L'appartement est très proche des caves et du quai, à proximité des restaurants et des bars. En 10mn on peut rejoindre à pied le centre de Porto en traversant le Pont Dom Luis. Aucune nuisance nocturne... Café, tisane, petits gâteaux pour la première matinée... Logement décoré avec goût et extrêmement propre. On peut le choisir les "yeux fermés"...

  Comments: For say up to 4 days stay in Porto this place is great, first class apartment (although a balcony/view would be the cherry on the cake). We preferred the south bank of the river for evening strolls and aperitif, not hectic like Porto itself, the street is very authentic with the locals going about their daily routines and using the cafes and restaurants. The only negative is you are probably going to be walking back and forth across the bridge a lot and the volume of pedestrians can be a pain, after 4 days I never wanted to see that bridge again! Super smart and clean apartment, really comfy bed, slept well.

  Comments: Piso fantastico, tal y como se presenta en las fotos. La zona donde está situado es perfecto ya que rápidamente llegas al paseo marítimo y tienes unas de las vistas más bonitas de Oporto. Aunque, es un primero, las ventanas aíslan el ruido de la calle, por lo que es un piso muy tranquilo. Además, cuenta con parking un punto a favor si vas hasta allí en coche, donde buscar aparcamiento puede ser un problema, este se localiza en frente de la casa. La verdad, es que no tenemos ninguna queja, hemos quedado encantados y si volvemos alguna vez a Oporto, volveríamos a hospedarnos aquí si ninguna duda.

La localización es excelente, en una zona muy tranquila, a 2 minutos caminando del puente Luis I por lo que desde aquí se puede visitar tanto la zona de bodegas de Gaia como Oporto. Cerca de bares y restaurantes para poder comer. Otro punto a favor es la plaza de parking situada justo en frente del apartamento. Todo lo que se puede pedir para una estancia de unos días.

Brücke und vor allem von Ufer das schönste Panorama auf Fluss und Häuser-Skyline ... von da aus kann man alles in kürzester Zeit erreichen, flanieren/ wunderschöne Uferpromenade, die einzigartige Brücke, die spektakuläre Seilbahn hoch, zum bunten Mercado mit den vielen Spezialitäten am Ufer, rüber mit dem Boat-Taxi zum belebten Ribeira Viertel und 3 Stationen mit dem Bus zum Bahnhof, weiter zu allen top Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt - ein Highlight nach dem anderen !! Unbezahlbare einheimische Tips von Paulo :-) erhalten, gefrühstückt haben wir am Ufer in der pasteleria Soares, gegessen in den tollen kleinen Restaurants in der Nähe, und Porto bei Taylor’s genossen (informativ, professionell und chic!). Die Wohnung ist neu, modern und mit allem eingerichtet, im EG/Zwischengeschoss mit einigen Stufen und gut abgesichert (Eingangstür). Die Garage ist für kleine bis kompakte Autos mit etwas Geschick (Lift) gut anzusteuern. Summa summarum, absolut gelungen! jederzeit wieder in Porto und nur bei Maria und Paulo!!

  Comments: The place is quite nice, well located and contains all the basic ammenities for your stay. It's very close to the Douro River (on the Gaia side) and you just need to walk like 100m to be by the river. If you come by car a parking spot in a nearby garage is included. It was quite the experience which included driving the car into an elevator to go to the upper floor. The host Maria was very nice and helpful. Overall I recommend the place.

Originally we'd hoped to stay entirely in Porto but due to high demands and a need for a parking spot - we'd settled on this apartment. After experiencing both we'd wished we could have stayed at Maria and Paolo's apartment the entire time! Its location is perfect for going to the port cellars, beautiful views of the river and wonderful restaurants. The street it's located on is just picturesque and it has incredible views looking onto Porto. Paolo sent us some wonderful recommendations for restaurants nearby and each one we tried was exceptional. The apartment itself was very clean, comfortable, stylish and had great amenities (especially the free parking spot - so so convenient and though it would have been hard to find on our own - Paolo did a great job describing where to meet him and helped us get into the garage upon our arrival!) We'd highly recommend this spot!

  Comments: We stayed at this apartment when we were in Porto in May and it was so perfect we had to come back when we were in Porto in October. The location is perfect as it's only a block away from the river on a very quiet street. The bed is beyond comfortable and we never ran out of hot water. The black out shades were a great touch as it allowed us to sleep in. We will definitely be staying in this apartment next time we travel to Porto.

  Comments: This area - on the Southern bank of the Douro is a perfect location for visiting Porto and the area around. Just a few minutes walk to the old town, but also its own scene going on - with the port wine lodges and lovely restaurants, and magnificent views across to Porto. The apartment is very clean & comfortable and Paulo is really helpful with suggestions to make your stay really interesting and enjoyable. We had a great week - many thanks.

  Comments: Maria foi sempre comunicativa, o apartamento é espaçoso, limpo e bem localizado! O fato de ter estacionamento foi a cereja do bolo, pois dificilmente encontramos vagas no centro de Vila Nova de Gaia. Voltarei a Vila Nova de Gaia e com certeza ficarei neste sítio. Tudo perfeito!

  Comments: Maria and Paulo did an excellent job for our stay in Porto! Maria went above and beyond the call of duty to get our futbol tickets from the post office because the CTT [mail] lost the envelope! It really helped out because I didn't know where I would've started trying to find the envelope...new country, no cell service. It could've caused a lot of unneeded stress on our holiday. The place was located perfectly - close to everything but not close enough to hear the noises from the bar/restaurants. Highly recommended. -Danny & Emily

  Comments: We appreciated timely responses, very clean and thoughtfully appointed modern apartment, and collection of information about things to do in Porto. The port companies are all just a few minutes walk, making it an excellent location for anyone wanting to do wine tours and samplings. Being January, we were grateful for electric space heaters.
