  Comments: Underwhelmed is a word that comes to mind to describe my stay. While the location is good being close to the main hub of Glebe, the general condition of the premises is poor. Several parts of the apartment are in a state of disrepair including the blind in the main bedroom which is hanging by a cable tie and is completely dysfunctional. The TV is also not working and has been out of action for some time which is not clearly stated in ad.

It is close to the city, to public transport, to beautiful old St. John's Church and to the interesting array of shops and places to eat in Glebe. It was clean, and the small, walled garden courtyard provided a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the sun! An affordable option in a great location.

  Comments: Glebe is a great neighbourhood, Elise's place is in a great spot, walking distance to cafes & restaurants on Glebe Point road and the Glebe market (Saturdays). 20 minute walk to Darling Harbour. Newtown and Chippendale areas are also near by. Check in and check out was easy and communication was good. The apartment caters for your basic needs and has a nice little courtyard, and is clean. A couple of things to note: there is no iron available (as per Elise's advertisement - but I forgot to check this when making the booking). There is a bit of noise from the upstairs tenants and from the street as the apartment/bedroom is located along the street path. We were out of the apartment most of the time anyway but just something we noticed. Overall, affordable, clean and in a a great location.

  Comments: Our stay was comfortable during this time, however we could tenants above us walking around. Though there was a great kitchen space no microwave or TV available. The location is lovely with markets and cafes 5mins walk up the street and though communication was great during our stay we did not confirm entry to the room until midday of check in day.

  Comments: My friend and I originally booked the courtyard unit to stay in for a week while visiting Sydney, but on the day of our check in Elise informed us she had moved us to a newly renovated unit in the same building. At first we were a little bummed to not get a courtyard, but the new unit was very spacious and well decorated with brand new appliances and features so we were ultimately fine with the switch. The location of the place is fantastic with restaurants, shops, and transportation just a couple of blocks away. However, the street its located on is fairly busy so if you're a light sleeper bring some ear plugs with you as cars and people pass by at all hours of the day and night. Also while the bathroom in the unit was nice and new, the floor does tend to get wet from the shower so bring some flip-flops to use in there! But overall we had a nice stay!

  Comments: Glebe is a cool area to stay in. Close to Cebtral Sydney, either walking, light rail or bus. I would suggest that the apartment is better for one person or a couple as the fold put couch isn't too comfy.

  Comments: Elise's nifty little apartment packs a lot into a small space. A perfect place to use as a base just a bus ride from the CBD and a 5 minute stroll to some of the funkiest bars, restaurants, cafés and markets Sydney has to offer. The place was clean and well supplied with linens, cook ware, a compact but perfectly functional little kitchen and bathroom and an oh so comfy bed! There are a few furnishings yet to be assembled and a few pictures yet to be hung but a brilliant apartment in a very cool location nonetheless. Would absolutely stay again :)

  Comments: Great location, close to cool old pubs and bars and you can walk to Darling harbour, etc. Nice and new and clean inside, perhaps a bit dark though. Comfy bed, we slept well. Not much privacy when you open the door/ window for fresh air as you are right on the street, people can see straight in. You are told to take all your rubbish with you on departure, which is a little inconvenient.

  Comments: A nice and cosy place, well located near the Main Street of Glebe with a short walk to great restaurants and shops. Upon arrival, the place was clean, and we felt very welcomed and safe. The bed was super comfortable and cosy, with a bedroom television and some good DVDs supplied. There was an aircon above the bed which kept the place cool the whole time. There was also a lot of closet space. Overall a great spot, would definitely stay again!!!

  Comments: Elise’s apartment was central and spacious and in combination with her prompt response, my family’s time in Sydney was wonderful. There was a slight hiccup with the cleaning when first checking in but Elise arranged for cleaning staff to come immediately and that matter was rectified. Would highly recommend her place!

  Comments: This place had so much potential but sadly didn’t quite deliver. It is certainly a trendy apartment but the place was incredibly noisy, both from the street & the upstairs tenants. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in & really is ready for the tip as it has lost all springs through the middle section. I was disappointed that there was not even coffee or tea supplied & the bathroom soaks through after 1 shower (the bath mat easily become saturated). I was also disappointed that you had to pay up to an extra $75 to have the spare bed made up when requiring 2 beds for 2 guest, so we just bunked in together. On a positive, after requesting an iron she did eventually deliver, unfortunately it was on our last day of our stay.

  Comments: My two roommates and I were lucky to find a 5 night rental upon our arrival in Sydney. What initially started as a bad experience because of the overwhelming cigarette smell was improved when our host Elise came to freshen up the place that same night. Overall, an okay experience until the last day when it ended up being awful because of Elise’s passive aggressive and rude attitude. We asked Elise if we could leave our luggage after we checked out because we were gonna be in town all day and didn’t want to keep our luggages with us. In my messages I repeated multiple times that I would pick up my luggage in the evening. Elise agreed and in my thank you message I said we would swing by at night, she said have a good evening. Her instructions included washing the dishes and taking out the trash (which to my fault I didn’t see but we only left two dishes and left the trash in the basket). She stated we should be out by 10, we left the Airbnb at 9 and left our bags packed. I received an incredibly passive aggressive call at 3 asking why we hadn’t picked up the luggages and saying the place looked like a pig-stye (actual wording she used). The message had never stated a time to pick up the luggage and I had said evening/night at least three times in my request. She was extremely passive aggressive and disrespectful on the call. She asked when we would pick up the luggage because she had a dinner party that she would have to leave early from if we came in the evening. After stating that it would be incredibly inconvenient for her to leave her dinner party early multiple times, she then said she would have to charge us for keeping our luggage there. I firmly disagreed because it was not something she had mentioned before or something we had agreed to. I simply stated that if she had wanted to charge a fee she should’ve stated that before. She then began to ask if we were gonna leave a bad review, which genuinely came out of nowhere. I said no and she said that if we were gonna leave a bad review we were to come and pick up our bags immediately, but if we were gonna leave a good review we should chill where we were and we could come at night to pick up our bags. I thought this caveat was unprofessional, especially considering no time was set for us earlier. We were unhappy with this caveat so we said we would come pick up our bags immediately. She said that meant we were gonna leave a bad review and so she was gonna leave the Airbnb because she felt “threatened” (actual words again). The phone call was an awful 9 minutes that I would never repeat again. The phone call sourly ended with Elise saying she couldn’t wait...

  Comments: Elise's place is in a fantastic neighborhood and just a short and easy walk to public transit to the center of town. There are lots of cool bars and restaurants in the immediate area. The only real down side is that if guests are not used to city noise, they might find it a bit loud. (I also live in a city, and didn't find it problematic at all.) I recommend this for a couple or a single guest who wants a cool Urban neighborhood close to the center

They've made such great use of the space, everything you could possibly need is ticked into clever cupboards - it's as if Tony Stark designed a studio apartment. Great location a few blocks from all the fun of Glebe's main drag, and we walked into the city most days. Great value, easy check in, would 100% stay here again.

  Comments: Great location, easy to find, nice neighborhood, self check in super convenient and efficient, place is clean and nicely decorated with everything you need, except coffee. Walls are thin so you can hear people talk or walk by but not a big issue for me as at night when you sleep it is quiet. What bothers me is the second night it was very windy after the thunderstorm, something kept banging on the window periodically and woke me up at 5am. Unsure how often it gets windy or is it just me who’s unlucky.

  Comments: Elise’s apartment is lovely, clean and as pictured. It’s a great space to stay and the location is handy. The bathroom was nice however the water in the shower could have been hotter. The bed is really comfy. Check in is super easy with the code lock however you need to make sure you close the door properly otherwise this creates a security issue. There was a mix up with our bag drop prior to check in which was disappointing and inconvenient. Elise is a good communicator.

The fact that this apartment is on the first floor made air movement and noise in the evenings a little bit of an issue, but for the value that is just something to consider.   Comments: This is an amazing modern creatively designed studio! We absolutely loved the interiors and thought put into making this space work. All the small bonus touches really made it feel like an hotel experience. The location is close enough to shops and cafes yet is still nestled amongst a quiet residential area. Elise was great to deal with during the entire process, and communication was prompt friendly and honest. Would definitely stay again if we're in the area. This is an absolute gem of a place if you're looking for a creative and stylish home at an affordable price point compared to your standard boxed apartment!
