Comments: Liza's home is the best place to stay in NY! Silent neighborhood, great subway connection with Manhattan, best bed we've ever sleep!, large space and as much privacy as you want to have. Many advices, just like VERY BEST DONUTS at Peter Pan's. Liza, thank you! :)

Comments: Lizard place was perfect. When I walked in the first time she wasn't there and it took me a few minutes to figure out that my space was downstairs. Once I figured that out, everything went smoothly. The location is close to the bus stop and the space has a kick backyard. Would stay there again.

Comments: Liza's place made for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It is a clean basement studio that has access to a nice backyard garden. The studio has a private bathroom (with only a toilet), but the shower is located in the main apartment upstairs. The apartment is in a good location, within walking distance of bars and restaurants. Overall, what I appreciated most--aside from the friendly kitty-cat-- was the value and location of this place.

Comments: Easily the best Airbnb we've stayed at. Firstly, the space is amazing. You're in the basement of an awesome Brooklyn home, which is perfect in summer because it stays nice and cool. The bed was super comfy, everything was clean and the kitchenette made life so easy! Secondly, you're a five minute walk from downtown Greenpoint, a ten minute walk from Williamsburg and a half an hour Subway trip into Manhattan. Finally, the hosts were so gracious and welcoming. I would 110% recommend this to friends and would stay back here in a heartbeat. Thank you!

Comments: The place was great! Very accurate, has a TV with Netflix and other apps, and there was even a cat from upstairs that was super cuddly and loved staying with us! The only negatives were that the shower was shared upstairs and there is only a half bathroom that is private, and the bed is a little small for two people. We also had a little bit of trouble getting in and we couldn't figure out which room it was right away. (It's straight ahead once you walk in!) Other than that, it was great! Would stay here again :)

Comments: A really great apartment, genuinely better than the pictures. It has a garden, cooking facilities, Netflix and is a short walk from an excellently connected subway station. There's also a cat that is so lovely and friendly and made it feel especially homely!

Comments: It was a pleasant stay. Great room with good location. Less than 12 min walk from 2 metro stations. All way to Manhattan about 25 min. Everything was awesome. For cheap prise you get a very big and quiet room with garden view and your own kitchen, toilet and washbasin (shower shared in main room). Host very polite and frendly. She help us with luggage storage, and meet with beautiful cat William ). Thank you Liza!

Comments: Liza was very nice and hospitable, just what me and my father needed :) her plAce is about a 10-15 minute walk to the L train. There is a kitchenette with a microwave, a hot plate, refrigerator and coffee maker. The shower is shared upstairs with Liza but there is a private bathroom downstairs as well as a cute entrance to the backyard. Great for chilling and drinking coffee. A added bonus was her friendly cat :)

-
Reviewer: Caitlin
Comments: Nice place. A bit further from central Williamsburg than I would have liked but good otherwise. Note that there is no AC which was fine for a warm summer day but might be a bit hot in the peak of summer.
-
Reviewer: Nick
Comments: Liza's place is essentially a place to sleep and shower, which is all I needed. The room was still cozy and exceptionally clean, and has access to a beautiful backyard! The Greenpoint area has lots to see and do and you're in a great location to get to it. I like to walk so I forewent a lot of the public transportation options, but they were plentiful and nearby. Great place!
-
Reviewer: Lisa
Comments: Loved it! Great setup, perfect for a private airbnb that's not overpriced. The location is great as is the space itself. Sweet, cuddly kitty who has good manners! Liza is also very sweet. It's a great spot in the middle of wherever you need to go in town. The graham L is about a 10min walk, great coffee shop, bar nearby. The bed is prime. I havent slept that well in awhile. I'd stay here again if she'd have me. Thank you!

Comments: Liza was very friendly and helpful! And her cat was a welcome part of the experience. My flight was delayed making my check-in super late, but she was very kind about it. Would definitely recommend!

Comments: The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The couch wasn't bad either (shared a room with my sister, so this was important) Full kitchen, clean bathroom, beautiful garden space with your own entrance. Provides towels, well decorated space with bright lighting, plenty of mirrors, literature, hair dryer, TV and a Roku box. Easy to get in and out. Would stay again!

Comments: Awesome apartment and close to all kinds of great bars and restaurants and a short walk to the subway. The apartment was clean and comfortable with a nice bed. The garden is beautiful and was amazing to enjoy on a hot summer day. Liza was a great host and very easy to communicate with. Very friendly and a pleasure to meet. She also has a great cat that was very friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend staying at Liza's place!

Comments: Liza's place was clean and easy to access. It was located in an area that was easy to get around. I kept to myself while I stayed with her and don't think we came into contact, which I prefer as I was pretty busy during my time in NYC. I'd stay there again.

Comments: Liza place was great! The bed would super comfortable, even though it was hot outside there were enough fans to keep the place at a comfortable temperature.
-
Reviewer: Mandy
Comments: Comfortable accommodation. Price commensurate with location. Make sure you are aware, as we were, of travel times and distance to New York. Buy a metro card.
-
Reviewer: Rob
Comments: Great place. So clean and Liza is an incredibly interesting person to meet. She made my stay pleasant! The only complaint is how far the place is from the L line, but once you get to it, it's a quick 10 minutes to Manhattan.
-
Reviewer: Manon

-
Reviewer: Rachael
Comments: Liza is a great host. Helpful, friendly, and let us check in hours early as our flight arrived early. We were so grateful for that!! The place looks better than the pictures too, and was very peaceful so we got some really great sleep. The location is the only thing I would change in an ideal world as you have to walk a couple of blocks past quite an industrial looking area to get back from the subway. Having said that we were perfectly safe and learnt that an uber back from Manhattan is only about $25, so that was great.
-
Reviewer: Kathy
Comments: Liza's apartment was great. A little far from the train station but a nice quiet neighborhood. Liza was friendly and helpful when we needed her. We only wished for some more windows in the heat.
-
Reviewer: Kevan
Comments: Liza's place was awesome, So much so that i felt right at home. The decor was very laid back and well kept. I enjoyed the unique art on the walls and the small novelties placed on the furniture's. Having access to a video streaming device, a and kitchenette made the stay even more pleasant. Stores and supermarkets are conveniently located within walking distance from the house so you can conveniently grab anything you need in a jiffy. Liza was very laid-back, courteous, respectful of my privacy and also helpful with directions, anything that I needed and recommendations of stores that I wanted to go to. The L train station is a 10 min walk and you'll arrive in Manhattan very quickly. Overall it was a great stay.

Reviewer: Casey
Comments: Great space! Clean and safe area. The garden is the best for lounging with coffee and drink before going out! Not right in the downtown area but not far
-
Reviewer: Kelly
Comments: Thank you.
-
Reviewer: Rochelle
Comments: Liza was kind and the bed was soft. The unit felt like it was its own space and I did come and go as I pleased. Never had to wait for the shower and everything was clean. My main issue was that it took about 20 minutes to walk to the L, longer than expected, and the neighborhood was industrial. But for the price, you get a lovely room with a cute little stairway to a backyard garden. If you don't mind taking some time to commute most places (and the L gets crowded!!), it's nice.

Comments: Liza’s place was great. Perfect location for everything we wanted to do & the space was clean & comfortable. If you’re a cat person, definitely stay here so you can meet Mister William! This will definitely be my first choice for stay anytime I come to Brooklyn in the future.

Comments: L appartement est vraiment bien, grand et propre. Il y a un chat vraiment sociable. Le quartier est une zone industrielle pas des plus jolies. De plus le métro est a 15mins a pied. Pour un séjour court c est un bon rapport qualité prix.

-
Reviewer: Jazzmin
Comments: Liza’s place was clean & comfy! The only issue I had was the 20 minute walk to the train (which wouldn’t be as bad if it wasn’t freezing out). Other wise, I had a great stay!

-
Reviewer: James

Comments: Liza's place is about 15-20 min walk from the nearest subway stations, but for the extra walk you are rewarded with a large serene private space with a galley kitchen and a half bathroom. Also, Liza's beautiful harp music and Mister William (the resident cat) also serve to brighten the experience. I enjoyed my weekend at Liza's place, and recommend it to others.

Comments: Cute space with an adorable cat. The immediate neighborhood was a little unnerving, but this is coming from someone not used to cities so take that with a grain of salt. This space served our purposes perfectly, and Liza is a communicative host. Thanks again!

Comments: Cutest cat ever! The space was great for a couple or two friends to stay. The bed was comfortable and the mini apartment was clean. The apartment/room is located in the basement area so lots of privacy but don’t worry you won’t feel like you are in a basement because Liza adds a personal touch. Kitchen area ( large fridge, sink, pans etc.) is good for stove top cooking only. You can actually hear Liza playing one of her several harps which is very sweet sound to hear.

Comments: Liza was great, and the place was even better! The basement aparrment is decorated so nicely it doesn't even feel like you're in the basement. The door leading to the small garden outback brought in great natural light, and the bed was soft and cozy. Mr. Williams, the resident kitty, came right down and greeted us and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Brooklyn.

Comments: Liza's place was awesome and just as pictured and described! She was super nice and very responsive. Mr. Williams the cat was an added delight since he is so well behaved, but could easily be kept away by shutting the door to the space (which I felt no need for). No loud noises from surrounding areas could be heard so sleeping in peace was easy. The L train is a short walk away (10-15 minutes depending on walking speed). Would completely recommend for anyone that wants to be conveniently close to Manhattan but not want to be on the island.

Reviewer: Shannah
Comments: This place was great! Very accurate to the photos, we had our own private space in the basement and only had to access the upstairs to use the shower. Beautiful backyard oasis and Mr. William the cat would come down to visit us and snuggle with us in the mornings. The bed is very comfortable, and very high off the ground so you have to be careful climbing up. All in all great experience in Brooklyn.

Comments: Apartment just as described! Adorable interior, cute little back garden and comfy bed. Kitties were a nice touch to the experience :) Felt very cozy and clean. Shower is separate upstairs and entrance is through Liza's apartment. Only downside is that the place is a little of out the way so you have to Uber to Williamsburg or surrounding areas.

Comments: Easy self check in process and own private space down stairs. Nice comfortable bed. Is a shared shower upstairs but no problem as I was there on my own as owner was overseas. There is a toilet downstairs for your own use. Had a great stay and about a 12 min walk to subway. 5min walk has you near restaurants and bars as well as food markets. Nice quiet neighborhood.

Comments: Great place to stay! The space is private and well appointed. Loved the friendly “greeter” kitty Mr. Williams. We were in town for a concert at Brooklyn Bowl and it was a short & cheap (under 10 min) Uber ride there. Very good value too. Would stay again and recommend! Thanks Liza :)

Comments: The place is a basement extremely well set. The perfect space for a couple of people. The toilet is private but the shower is shared... I didn’t noticed that when I booked. It’s a little uncomfortable but we adapted with no problem. Liza was amazingly kind and friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

Comments: This apartment was a remodeled basement space in an aging building in an industrial neighborhood in Green Point. Described as a private apartment, it only sort of fits that bill. It shares a corridor with the laundry room and is accessed through the host's apartment, and is therefore (to me) only semi-private. Being what it is, i.e. a basement-type space, it was honestly a little clammy, dusty, and smelly, though clearly Liza has made efforts to spruce it up. There aren't a lot of shops or restaurants in the immediate vicinity; there is however lots of good stuff provided one is able to walk a mile or so; same thing with a subway stop. Liza was communicative, clear and friendly, but I will probably decide next time to pay a little more for something more private, and maybe closer to transit/food.

Comments: Liza's place was great. Everything was clean and comfortable, as the space is listed. The neighborhood is very convenient and has lots to do. While the L train is a quick 10 minute walk from the Airbnb, it was sadly closed for most of our stay. The G train is about a 20 minute (1 mile) walk. Liza leaves great recommendations for food & drink (Little Dokebi is so good and so affordable, and you must get the mashed potatoes at Conchord Hill), but the neighborhood has much to explore. We loved the shops/gift stores and cafes (go get ice cream at Van Leeuwen's! Oh, and the rainbow bagel is just around the corner from the L!), and it's also convenient to other great amenities like the Brooklyn Museum (just a few bucks in a Lyft). Manhattan is easy enough to get to as well, but I prefer the Brooklyn experience when in New York. The Greenpoint neighborhood is safe and the Airbnb is very secure and cozy. The shared shower was not an issue and the Airbnb itself was spacious. I enjoyed having a couch, easy-to-find outlets, a kitchen area, and a clean bathroom. I would definitely stay here again!

Comments: What a fabulous place. Liza is the perfect hostess, offering valuable tips on out of the way places to go and also where to go in the neighbourhood. Steps to the basement might be a problem for some, but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and can highly recommend.

Comments: Great place - pleasant with lots of space. Within easy walking distance of excellent spots in Brooklyn, and only a short subway ride from Manhattan. Great value too. Liza was very welcoming, and check in was extremely smooth. A last minute opportunity meant she had to be away most of the week, but it was a pleasure to hang out with Mr Williams, the resident cat!

Comments: Liza's place was perfect for a short trip. It was clean and the bed was great. One thing to note is that you do walk through a studio apartment to enter your private space (wasn't expecting that) but I didn't encounter anyone. Liza's cat was adorable and friendly. I would definitely stay again.

Comments: Liza’s space was easy to get into, and communication with her was easy. We were a little disappointed with the cleanliness-we are not super picky, but there were hairs in the bathroom sink, the bedspread had cat hair on it, and the rugs were (Website hidden by Airbnb) could have definitely used a little more attention. Our main problem with the space was the water heater (?) that is located in the closet just steps from the bed. It turned on and off the entire night, making a lot of noise, and the pipes were very noisy as well. We woke up at 2 in the morning because of it, and were unable to get back to sleep so we left the apartment at 4 AM since there was no point in staying in bed. This apartment is a comparatively good value, but we would not recommend it if you are not a very heavy sleeper.

Comments: It was clean, easy to find, and Mister William (Liza’s cat) was a nice addition and a lovely greeter. The bed was very comfortable and safe. Worked well for my friend and I to enjoy the night in the city.

Comments: We had a great time at Liza' s place. The apartment has a lot of character and has everything you need. It is a little rough around the edges but perfect as a base and its no problem with us. The walk to the subway feels like a long slog at the end of a busy day but the area it self is well connected. Mr Williams the cat was a highlight, he would come and cuddle us in the morning. You don't see much of Liza and the whole place felt very private, which was great by us. There was no orientation of the apartment so we had to find most things ourselves. The bed was comfy and the shower was powerful. We had a fantastic time.

Comments: This Airbnb is a great place to stay! It's close enough via the subway to get downtown (10ish minute walk, half hour subway ride to the Times Square area) and there are plenty of places nearby to eat or grab coffee.
