Comments: If you are visiting NYC and want a wonderful experience regarding a charming place to stay read on. This was much better than the standard hotel room. It was well designed, the colors warm and well chosen, the unit had that special touch. Gaia was warm and welcoming and did everything within her power to make sure my stay was enjoyable. I will be sure to book this accommodation again in the near future.

Comments: Gaia is a wonderful and thoughtful host whose place is a dream location for someone looking to experience NYC. First off, the room is huge and beautifully decorated. Gaia's choice in design and decor instantly made me feel at home and feel like I had chose the perfect spot for my trip. You truly feel like you have a personal space that is more than roomy enough to stretch-out and unwind when you need privacy. Some of my fondest memories include waking and catching sun rays on her beautiful balcony, that provides a breathtaking view of Manhattan, curling up for bed after a long day on, hands down, the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in on Airbnb, or kicking it with Biz on a lazy Sunday, the coolest orange kitty I've met in a while. Honestly, there are too many superlatives to list about this place but I will say if you are looking for an outstanding location, a spacious and comfortable room, and the warmth of a caring, cool, and welcoming host..this spot can't be beat. Thank you Gaia for a wonderful stay! I look forward to returning!

Comments: We spent a wonderful two weeks at Gaia’s place and had a great time! Gaia is a very nice and accommodating host. She was very flexible about our check-in time (for which I was very grateful) and very helpful with any information we needed (about the area, public transportation, finding our way around the apartment, etc.). She also always immediately replied to and assisted with all our questions. The room we stayed in was very cozy and clean, and had a little balcony. Our room had a curtain, instead of a door, which was however no problem, because we had the place to ourselves, which felt luxurious! The whole apartment is very nicely done up. We could use the kitchen and Gaia put out coffee and tea for us. The apartment is also very conveniently located and the busses and metro get you to the city in no time. Astoria is a cool place to live. There are many good restaurants, coffeeshops etc., as well as a nice park with view on Manhattan, only minutes away from the apartment. All in all, I can very much recommend staying at Gaia’s!

Comments: I stayed in Gaia's place for two weeks and it was great. The room is bigger than a standard hotel room which makes packing and movement easier. The balcony is a huge plus. I'll miss taking my morning coffee there. The bed is something else. The most comfortable bed I've slept in. After walking for hours, it's so nice looking forward to that cushy mattress at the end of the day. Astoria is a great place to stay when in NYC without costing you an arm and a leg. Lots of good restaurants and bars around on days you want to stay in the neighbourhood. It's a few stops from Manhattan and trains and buses are frequent. Gaia is quick to respond to questions, the building is in a quiet corner. All in all, good experience. Wouldn't mind booking another round next time in this Airbnb.

Comments: Overall great stay! Safe area, had the place to myself for almost the entire 2 weeks, and the room is beautiful (has such great energy!) The only thing I would say which was tricky was that the room has no door, just a curtain which does keep the AC in nicely but does not provide a lot of privacy. It was my oversight as it was mentioned in the listing but I think if there’s no door this listing should be listed as a shared space. With that said, Gaia made me feel so welcome and she was super responsive, like when the WiFi went down or the closest subway stop shut down and I needed to find an alternative route to school in Manhattan ( (Hidden by Airbnb) Maps wasn’t helping!) I would recommend this space for a single traveler/student. I loved this wonderful and peaceful time in Queens, thanks Gaia!
