  Comments: I stayed with Michelle and Gabriel for one month while I was on exchange at HKUST. They are outgoing and helpful and made me feel very welcome. The house is located not far from Sai Kung and HKUST in a beautiful, green, exotic mountain area. I can recommend it to students at HKUST who enjoy living in a more quiet area away from the city.

  Comments: Michelle, Gabriel and Vicky are very nice and supportive. The house feels like home to me. It is also a surprise for me to find such a comfortable place to live. Actually you have large space to use besides the room. Also, you rarely need to buy new stuff for the kitchen, many appliances are free to use. If you feel comfortable to use share spaces like living room and dining room, and do not mind 10-15min walk to the bus station, I would strongly recommend this room to you.

  Comments: I recommend this room to you. Firstly, the host will contribute to your staying. She will respond to your questions so quickly. The room, its kitchen and its bathroom are arranged well for you. Secondly, it is surrounded by a good environment. The nature and polite people make a relaxing mood. And the bus gets to a station within about 15 minutes, from a bus stop. To stay at a reliable and comfortable room is one of the most important thing for you to make your trip good. So, you should try to reserve this room.

  Comments: I enjoyed staying in Ho Chung a lot. It is a bit secluded, so transportation to almost everywhere takes a while, but the surrounding is very quiet and clean. It’s a very pleasant place to stay. The hospitality is outstanding and the house is very nice. In spite it’s size, the small room is comfortable enough.

  Comments: This is a pretty good value for the price. It takes 30 mins to walk to the nearest transportation stop or you can wait for the bus that runs every 30 mins. Taxis don’t go there. Bad transportation but very quiet and coutry. I enjoyed it. If you wanna stay in the city, maybe you should look for something else. But if you enjoy walking and a little hiking, this is not bad. And it’s reasonably priced. It’s a very nice house too. Think of an American townhouse. Michelle isn’t there. Her husband lives there with you. You get a room on the 2nd floor in a 3 story house. Mind you he always sleeps on the couch in the living area right next to your room, out of all the rooms that are there. You have to share the restroom. He is very sensitive. You have to snoop around the house or he’s shouting at you. One time I came home late very early in the morning and I was up 2am or 3am one time and I went to the kitchen and heated up some leftover food -got hungry from all the walking and touring -and ate it in the dining room, he came downstairs and said something. because he’s not in a room but in the living room, he could hear everything. It doesn’t mention that you can’t eat or drink food in your room at all. Only in the dining room. His English is not good, so it’s hard to understand him. And he’s very bossy. This is a good place if you are just gonna sleep there and leave. It has a good price for what you get. And if you prefer a remote area.
