  Comments: There is absolutely nothing bad I can say about this studio! For starters it is in the best location you could possibly imagine - about a 5 minute walk to the São Bento metro stop and within short walking distance of pretty much any place you want to go. If you are up for it, even the Casa da Musica is only about a 40min walk away. The studio itself is tiny, but exactly as pictured - extraordinarily clean, lovely brand new supplies and modern facilities and very important, a hot hot shower. I didn't meet José, but Mario greeted me when I arrived and gave me a map on which he pointed out all the sights and gave me a bunch of suggestions about where to go. He was also extremely accommodating when I asked to leave my bag for the day after I checked out. The only small thing I would say is that if you are extremely sensitive noise, it can be a bit noisy on the street and also the studio was very cold in mid-November. But I didn't ask them to turn on the heating, so I accept blame for that one! Overall, highly recommend.

  Comments: Это небольшой 4-х этажный отель, на каждом этаже 2 номера, у меня был 1-местный номер небольшой площади, но в нем было всё, что может понадобиться путешественнику: уместился журнальный столик, обеденный стол с 2 стульями, большой шкаф, гладильная доска, утюг, кофеварка, чайник, холодильник, микроволновая печь, соковыжималка, раковина для посуды. Очень понравилось наличие полного набора кухонных принадлежностей, чай, кофе, сахар также в наличии, и можно сразу же сварить чашечку кофе после долгого перелета. В ванной комнате также было все необходимое, включая профессиональный фен (у меня дома он попроще), единственное, мне не хватало маленькой полочки в душе. Дизайн комнаты прост, но мне очень понравились белые тона мебели, которые гармонировали с теплым натуральным полом, я бы сказала, что именно это сочетание цветов, мебели и помещения идеально подходили друг к другу, а традиционные белые ставни добавили местного колорита, получилось красиво и ничего лишнего. Wi-Fi в комнате работал хорошо, без сбоев, мне это было важно. Отопление к сожалению, не работало, помещение отапливалось только обогревателем, но по моей просьбе мне сразу выдали второе одеяло, что несколько спасло ситуацию, все-таки в Португалии в феврале ночами холодно, да еще каждый день шел дождь. И нужно иметь в виду, что подача горячей воды в душе осуществляется с помощью водонагревателя, и провести в душе целый час не получится, потребуется время для нового нагрева. Не знаю, сколько было всего постояльцев в отеле, но шума не было, и улица вечером абсолютно тихая, можно хорошо выспаться после многочисленных прогулок по Порту. Отель оставил очень хорошее впечатление, особенно мгновенным реагированием на просьбы, спасибо Марио. Хотя я не говорю на португальском и всего пару слов знаю на английском, с помощью интернет-переводчика мы хорошо понимали друг друга. Ресепшен здесь не круглосуточный, и у вас будут ключи от комнаты и от входной двери в отель, но в назначенную дату вас будут ждать, просто сообщите отелю подробности о времени своего приезда. Очень удачное расположение отеля: совсем рядом есть магазин продуктов со всем необходимым, но самое главное, отель недалеко от вокзала, и очень удобно ездить по соседним городам на осмотр достопримечательностей. От вокзала часть пути идти в крутую горку до отеля, но ведь это Порту, здесь все улицы такие. До отеля легко добраться на метро из аэропорта: на станции Trindade нужно сделать пересадку на другую линию и доехать до станции Sao Bento, поездка займет примерно час. Очень хорошее соотношение цены номера и качества. В следующую поездку в Порту я поселюсь именно здесь.

  Comments: By Clérigos White is a very nice and clean apartment, fully equipped and exactly as shown in the pictures. It is located at the edge of the old town just 10 minutes on foot from Ribeira and only 5 minutes away from Sao Bento station from where you can take trains to Braga, Guimaraes and Aveiro. Mario is a friendly host and meeting him at my arrival was without problems. I'm sure you will like staying there. So, enjoy Porto!

  Comments: I had the most wonderful time! The studio had everything I needed, it is small but perfect. The fittings and equipment are of good standard and the place was clean and just so welcoming .Mario was there to receive me, it was my first visit to Portugal. He was so helpful and always willing to advise and answer my questions (I do ask a lot). And he provided umbrellas for those rainy days...Unexpected and thoughtful. The studio is right in the center, so only 2 minutes to find a place to eat....those amazing Portuguese pastries!- and despite that it was really quiet at night so good sleeps were the norm... The sea gulls replaced the alarm clock, and early in the morning a lady walked down the narrow cobbled street singing.... What a beautiful atmosphere. The only negative thing I must add is this- I had to leave and return home : (

  Comments: This is a AirBnB purpose built Ikea style compact studio in the authentic Porto style old town. They are several little apartments with an office downstairs. I never met Mario, just chatted online, he is easy to reach. The receptionist lives a few blocks away and gave very useful tips. The flat is small but well thought out, everything is included - hangers, iron, hairdryer, cups, microwave, water etc. The only issue was that the drainage in the shower was blocked.

Электроплиты нет, если для вас это важно, но есть микроволновка. Место очень колоритное, с деревянными ставнями и каменным подоконником, помогает погрузиться в атмосферу города. За углом есть булочная, где можно вкусно и недорого позавтракать.Также в округе полно баров и ресторанов. Я остался полностью доволен этой квартирой. Крайне рекомендую

The room is new, clean, bright and cozy: everything perfect for a great stay in Porto. All the furniture is new and practical: in the room you can find everything to make your stay comfortable from the hair dryer to the electric kettle. The position is very central and close to the Sao Bento station(less than 5 minutes walking). I can say this is one of the best places I've been with Airbnb.

He also did a good job of explaining everything and was flexible with arrival and departure time. The unit is a little bit small, but this is the only issue I had with it. The location is great (near the Clergios Tower and Church) and only a 5-10 minute walk from a Metro stop.

  Comments: The central location of the apartment is fantastic. It's tucked away off the main street, but close to the hub of downtown and the lovely area around the university. The neighbourhood is really a highlight. And it's so close the metro station as well. Mario and the others at By Clerigos Studios were very welcoming.They marked out many of the best attractions on my map and even left me a little bottle of port to enjoy. Mario kindly offered me extra towels and an additional heater if I wanted. The apartment itself is a good little nest for one person. It's tiny, but I liked that - it's a cozy space at the end of the day. It is a fair bit darker than the pictures though and there's not a lot of privacy if your windows are open - it's a direct view into the apartment across the street. The bed is comfy and there are a variety of appliances provided - even a blender for smoothies! My biggest issue was with the bathroom - the drainage in the shower is very slow, which would leave me ankle deep in water towards the end of my shower! And the bathroom fan either didn't work or wasn't effective, because the steam just didn't dissipate. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my stay here and this is a pretty good choice if you're on a budget and want to spend some time in Porto.

The room was exactly as explained but much closer to everything than I expected. My umbrella was destroyed the first day so greatly appreciated the ones available to share. Private shower and toilet. Single bed, clothes closet, fridge, kettle, coffee maker, grill, microwave, some utensils, just what I needed. a heater was appreciated because of the cool wet weather. Would recommend to anyone. Only one flight of stairs. The sea gulls can be noisy in the morning!

  Comments: Mario's place is sweet but small. I had a lot of issues unfortunately! First of all the entire apartment building is a hotel kinda thing that Mario runs. Every apartment has been posted on different websites. When you arrive Mario or his friends always are there to greet you and show you your place and things around Porto. THE location is great as it's central to everything but it gets extremely loud in the night as there is a pop bar right outside. The apartment is on a side street and so the rooms get really hot. I asked for a fan but was immediately denied. I actually fell sick and got heat rashes during my stay. It was unbearable...and a little bit of a put off. I requested twice for a fan but was told it's fresh in the nights but no part of the nights were fresh. I used to keep the windows open but the music from the bar would be so loud that I couldn't sleep. The bathroom shower would fill up fast and couldn't drain the water fast enough. The room was definitely neat and clean and had all amenities but I wouldn't live here again especially not with the attitude Mario had.

Die Lage ist unschlagbar: nah an allen Sehenswürdigkeiten der Altstadt, aber gleichzeitig in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße gelegen. Nicht weit ist noch ein Supermarkt, in dem man sich gut versorgen kann; der Kühlschrank im Zimmer ist dafür richtig praktisch. Alles top!

  Comments: The location is right by the tower of clerigos and other major areas. Still, it is not as touristy and it is the perfect location if you are travelling alone. The room is very clean, but it is important to note that the walls are quiet thin. On my last night, the bathroom ceiling leaked but Mario came within 10 minutes of me messaging him. He was very helpful and offered another room which I rejected since it wasn't too significant. He fixed everything immediately. This leak seems to be once in a while thing so it shouldnt be a problem. Otherwise, very nice stay in Porto!

  Comments: wonderful host. cute, very cosy and clean little studio in a nice neighbourhood. great location !! would definitely recommend. 혼자 여행하는 분들에게 매우 적합한 스튜디오입니다. 크기는 작지만 매우 실속있고 생활하는데 필요한것들이 전부다 구비되어있습니다. 가스레인지가 없어 요리를 해먹기는 힘들지만 전자렌지와 믹서기 등등 가전제품들이 있어 냉동식품이나 외부에서 사온음식들을 편하게 먹을수 있습니다. 창문을 열면 보이는 앞 주택들이 너무 이쁘구요. 1층에 있어 계단을 한번만 오르면 됩니다. 위치가 너무 좋아서 도보로 거의 모든곳을 다 돌아다녔구요. 근처에 맛있는 음식점이나 쇼핑할수 있는곳들이 있어 편했습니다. 개인이 거주하는 집이 아닌 전체 건물이 여행객을 위한 숙소들로 제공되는것 같았어요. 다른 여행객들이 있었지만 소음같은것도 전혀 없고 매우 조용했습니다. 남자분이 지내기에는 침대가 조금 좁을수도 있을것 같지만 여자분들은 매우 좋을것 같다는 생각을 했어요. 한가지 아쉬운점은 샤워실안의 배수시설이 매우 좋지 않아 오랫동안 샤워기를 틀어놓으면 물이 고입니다. 그래서 중간에 한번 물이 빠지기를 기다렸다가 해야되는 번거로움이 있긴 하지만( 안그러면 밖으로 물이 흘러 넘쳐요) 전체적으로 가격과 모든 면에서 매우 만족스러운 곳입니다

The location was excellent, as it was close to many bars and restaurants, as well as very close to the metro and monuments for sight seeing. The studio was equipped with all the amenities one needed for a short stay in Porto (I stayed for about 2 days), and the apartment felt safe overall. The only downside is it is located on a pretty steep upward hill. However, much of the city is hilly, and this adds to its charm. If you are carrying a lot of bags, I suggest you take a cab to the apartment.

  Comments: I missed my flight to Lisbon and had to take a detour via Porto, which had to include one night. I booked the apartment minutes after I missed my flight, and the quick confirmation enabled me to confidently go to Porto. Big ups for Mario's flexibility. The apartment was perfect for a one-night stay alone, and the bed is actually tall-people-friendly and super comfy! I wouldn't stay here for much longer, if I had plans to spend any time at home or if I came with a friend, because space is extremely limited and no one would fit next to me on the narrow bed. However, the street and the wider area the place is in is absolutely dreamy and if you only need the place at night to sleep, while enjoying the streets of Porto by day and in the evening, this place is right for you.

  Comments: As advertised, this apartment is TINY. It's also perfectly located, with comfortable beds (even the trundle), good sheets, and a coffee station. I was traveling with my young adult son and while we wouldn't have wanted to spend a month here it was ideal for a short stay. There's even a big casement window with a ledge wide enough to sit in and enjoy your morning coffee with a view down the narrow street, to a distant cathedral. We are glad we booked with Mario.

  Comments: The apartment is easily reached by the 602 or 601 bus (costs €1.90 and leaves every half hour from the airport, right outside arrivals). The journey takes about 45 minutes and the apartment is a few minutes walk away. There are only cobblestones so be aware of heavy luggage and the wheels. The late night, street, foot traffic is rowdy and off-the-charts loud (up till 3.30am on a Thursday AND Friday evening) so ask for a room NOT facing the street "Rua de Tras" (the noise, as well as the motion sensor street light kept me awake for hours on both nights). The amenities are clean, albeit spartan. Take your own docking station for music (if that's important to you). The location is central to everything so very convenient. The shower is great with good pressure and heat. Towelling and bedding is basic and clean. There were great touches like a blender, coffee machine, hairdryer, microwave and fridge. The room is tiny (I was staying alone) so I believe it is suitable for a single person only...

Пришлось спать на подушке, обёрнутой полотенцем и т.д., поскольку было довольно поздно и спросить про белье было не у кого. Für zwei wäre das von mir gemietete Apartment zu klein. Für eine Person sehr empfehlenswert, komme gerne wieder.

  Comments: Host was unprofessional, unwelcoming and rude. After a tiring day of touring Porto, we just wanted to rest. When we got to his place, the door to the apartment cannot be opened with the keys provided. Luckily he was inside, and tried to open the door but he too cannot open it from the inside and outside (used the window to get out). He then yelled at me and accused me for not using the correct key when in fact the other key provided (key to our room) would not fit in the keyhole so how can i use it? He then started trying to break the doorkey lock. Even the customers at a nearby resto helped opening the door but to no avail. He then sent a message that a guest broke the doorkey lock which I didnt. I merely tried to open the door using the key provided to us. He didnt even help us get inside the apartment (so we could eat and rest, we were very tired) and let us wait outside. He just told us that if we want to get inside we just have to climb through the window so we had to do our own initiative of borrowing chair from nearby resto so we (and otherguests) can get inside. He could have just said that the doorlock broke down and not blame us for the incident.

Donc nous étions contentes de l’emplacement mais déçues du studio que l’on qualifierait plus de chambre.

We were two people and the space was a tight for 2 (with our luggage), but, if you’re like us and looking for a nice bed to sleep in at night before enjoying the city, this is a good option. It’s not the quietest of streets even though it’s residential so very light sleepers may find it difficult to find rest. We had a great experience with Mario and his colleague who met us at the apartment, gave us a map with suggestions and orientation to the city and responded promptly to any needs. An ideal place certainly for a solo traveler but no more than 2 people.

  Comments: 위치도 좋고 숙소 시설도 혼자쓰기에 좋습니다. 침대가 조금 좁은편이라 남성분들은 좀 불편할수도 있을것같아요, 숙소가 있는 언덕이 좀 가파른편이고 건물내에 계단이 좁아서 무겁고 큰 캐리어를 옮기는건 힘들수도 있습니다. 제 캐리어는 20인치짜리였는데도 좀 좁게느껴졌거든요. 창문 맞은편 집이랑 굉장히 가깝습니다; 밥먹다 눈마주친적이 있을정도로요. 샤워실과 변기가 유리 미닫이 문으로 분리되어있는게 아주 좋았습니다.

  Comments: It is a perfect accommodation for a few days visit in Porto. It is very central but still in a quiet side street. The studio is small, but comfortable for one person. For two people it could be a bit difficult. Everything else just as described, the communication with Mario was optimal, the studio was clean and equipped with everything you need. I would stay there next time again!

  Comments: 위치가 오르막에 있긴 한데 큰 길 오르막 ?? 이라서 저는 괜찮았어요! 상벤투역이랑 가깝고 동루이스 다리 2층도 10분정도 거리이고 바로 직진만 하면 되어서 편했고요!! 골목 골목 다니는 재미도 있었어용 ㅋㅋㅋ 캐리어도 체크인 할 때 감사하게도 들어주셨고 ㅠㅠ 완벽한 독립된 공간으로 여행 마지막 도시에서 편히 쉬다 갑니다 !! 가스는 없어도 전자레인지 있어서 마트에서 사다 먹느라 매일 숙소에 일찍 귀가했네요 ㅋㅋㅋ 2명이서 쓰기엔 캐리어 필 곳이 없을거 같긴 해요 저는 혼자라서 완전 편하게 잘 쉬다 갑니당

Só quero enfatizar uma coisa que me surpreendeu um pouco: o apartamento é extremamente pequeno. Eu já sabia que era pequeno, pelos comentários de hóspedes anteriores, mas não imaginava que fosse tão pequeno.   Comments: It's a very well located place and it has everything you need to have a good time and explore the city. Mind you, of you are a light sleeper, like I am, you may find difficult to sleep because the street is busy at nights and there are construction works taking place in the morning and throughout the afternoon. The place is comfortable for a short stay and it's ideal for a person but I believe it'd be too cramped for two people. I recommend it for single travellers who want to make the most of Porto and the surrounding cities.
