  Comments: I recently spent a Saturday night in Susan's leafy cabin in Leichhardt - my first Airbnb experience - and was pleased with the ease of booking and low cost. Susan is a friendly, relaxed and hospitable host. The cabin is spotlessly clean, cute, and had a very comfortable bed. Angelo the cat was sometimes chatty but not annoying. The area is convenient and easily accessible by public transport but also suburban which would be interesting for international visitors. The only drawback of the location is the overhead flight path which woke me on Sunday morning, although I went back to sleep once I realised what the noise was! It really felt like I was staying at an old friend's house - one where you could just please yourself - and I'd thoroughly recommend it to others.

  Comments: My husband and I had a great stay at Susan's backyard cabin! We were there for 4 nights right before the holiday season and was a last minute stay. Susan is extremely friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed chatting with her and her cat Angelo. The cabin is great for 2 people and was very private and clean. It also has lots of closet space for travelers. The wifi connectivity was good and there's always street parking available. We also enjoyed having our breakfast on her verandah. It was very peaceful. Susan's home is located in a great Sydney suburb that's close to lots of great restaurants and cafes. Everyday we drove to the Stanmore train station to catch the train to the city, which only takes about 30 min. Very easy and convenient!

  Comments: Thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Susan. The cabin is clean and private, with plenty of space to relax and watch a bit of TV or read a book. It's also great to have your own clean bathroom and shower. Susan is a lovely host and I would definitely stay with her again.

  Comments: Wonderful cottage. Two problems - on the main flight path for Sydney Airport, but tolerable. Make sure you ask Sue if the hot water booster button has been pushed, otherwise you may not get hot enough water in the shower.

  Comments: Our stay here in this lovely little cabin was just perfect for our needs. Susan was a first class host, and did all she could to make us welcome and comfortable. The bed was the most comfortable we've slept in during our 3 months in Oz, (and the stars - a wonderful bonus). If you're looking for a sterile modern glass and plastic accommodation - this is not for you. This little cabin is a separate part of a warm and friendly real home, - our cabin had it's own privacy, charm and character, and the en-suit was small but perfectly fitted and extremely functional. When we first realized we had to walk through the house to get to our accommodation, we were a little daunted, but we need not have worried, nothing was simpler and we had our own keys to come and go as we pleased. When we are in this lovely area in the future, we would definitely love stay here again.

The planes can be loud and frequent at times, but were not so bothersome that we needed to close the window, and there is a curfew so it doesn't go all night. Angelo the cat is sweet.

  Comments: Susan was a lovely host. The cabin is adorable, and nicely separate from the house. There was plenty of fruit, nuts, juice, and tea for breakfast, and although the bread was running low the first morning, Susan was quick to let us know that evening that she'd bought some delicious bread for the next day (without us having to ask or anything). As I was staying with a vegan friend and a gluten-free/lactose-free friend, the food options were really great. At one point one of my travelling companions had an allergic reaction to her cat, and on the way out, we casually asked if she might have some Telfast or something similar, and she was more than happy to provide that. And in a sudden rainstorm, she equipped us with two umbrellas to ensure that we got to our destination only partially soaking wet. All in all, we had a lovely stay, and would not hesitate to stay here again.

  Comments: This was probably one of our best hosts during our trip around New Zealand and Australia. She was very very helpful, giving us advice and tips about the best way to visit Sydney and their main spots. The cabin is big, with plenty of space for two people, its own toilette and shower, and even a small living room where rest. The situation of the place was very good, with plenty of bus stops to the city and other spots of the city. She was as kind to let us use her kitchen, and use some of her cooking stuff. She was really lovely, a perfect host, and we highly recommend staying with her.

Public transport is efficient and accessible. The aircraft noise varies so it's easy to ignore it. Leichhardt is an interesting area with plenty of restaurants and services. I would certainly stay here again.

  Comments: We were very happy with our stay at Garden Cabin. It was nice and private, located in the rear garden. The cabin is within walking distance to great cafes in the very cosmopolitan Norton St area and we found it very easy to visit the city via the Light Rail which is located nearby. Susan is very friendly and helped us willingly with our travel needs. There was a very generous selection available for breakfast and the bed was comfy. The flights overhead were a bit noisy the day we were there, but we expected that after reading other reviews. We would be very happy to stay with Susan again.

  Comments: Susan is a helpful and accommodating host. We appreciate the use of her kitchen and umbrella. The neighborhood is safe with a variety of restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops and even a dry cleaner/laundry mat (but not "self-serve"). There are bus lines and a light rail within reasonable walking distance. The heavy rail was about a mile away. The bed is so comfortable, we slept really well! We enjoyed the sound of the rain on the roof, and listening to the birds in the morning. Reasonable price.

It was a pleasant place to return after a busy day moving furniture out of my storage unit. Having checked in quickly, then left, it was really nice to come back later to a well lit cabin with the heater on. A quick walk to a bus stop - and the Light Rail is within walking distance as well.

  Comments: I stayed with Susan for a weekend and just wish that I didn't have to leave! Susan is such a great host, and Angelo the cat was just adorable. I would never have imagined that I'd be able to stay in a cabin in someone's backyard, and would recommend anyone to give it a go. Susan gives a wonderful spread of healthy breakfast everyday, which I greatly appreciate. Upon arrival, she also gave a complete set of linen and towels which is a service above and beyond that which is common. The bed in the cabin was so comfortable that I slept through the nights like a baby. Susan also gave me a lift to the nearby weekend market which was really nice, and the market has many fabulous stalls and produce. She also gave a lot of helpful tips and advice on what to check out in the surrounding areas. The listing is also close to the nearby light rail stations and buses into the city, which makes travelling to and fro easy. In all, I had a truly memorable experience staying with Susan and had a wonderful weekend exploring Leichardt and Sydney city. p.s the wifi is fast too! :D

  Comments: We were very comfortable and cosy in Susan's garden studio. Firstly because Susan is a delightful host - she's warm and welcoming and helpful and generous! I have some allergies, and Susan was so helpful in making everything work for me. The studio itself is clean, nicely presented, self contained, quiet and has everything you need to make it a great base for a few days in Sydney. There's an ensuite bathroom, sitting area, TV, tea-making facilities. Glad it was cosy, as Sydney turned on some chilly days (which we thought we'd left behind in Canberra!). Leichardt is close to the city and an interesting area with plenty of eating places nearby. All in all a great place to stay. Thanks Susan!

  Comments: Adorable home owned by an amazing person! My mother and me went to Sydney standby and had problems from the very start! We arrived 6.5 hours before check in and Susan was amazing and accommodating, letting us go in early and cleaning up the room a bit. She then helped take us into town and buy a train pass. It was amazing for a first day. Susan is the most helpful person I have ever met and she actually cares that you have an amazing stay in her house. She helps every step of the way and doesnt let anyone fall through any vacation cracks; whether it is getting lost, grocery shopping, buying dinner, or car troubles Susan refuses to let you make a wrong decision and will stick by you through the worst of them! If I ever went back to Sydney, she is the person I would want to be with!

  Comments: Susan and Angelo, her panther in crime (a super friendly black cat) are so warm and welcoming she made us feel right at home. The cabin is a great size with an ensuit and large tv, we were strapped for cash so being able to microwave some quick meals in the room was perfect for us, we were welcomed to use the kitchen but were far too lazy too. The location is fantastic as leichhardt is a safe and quiet residential suburb close to public transport heading right into the CBD. Also a great breakfast selection laid out each morning made all the difference. We will certainly be staying again when we return to Sydney. Thank you again

I love this part of Sydney and Susan was very friendly and easy to talk with. Offer of a lovely breakfast but I went down the road to a lovely little square with a few cafes. Friendly and easy stay.

  Comments: We loved our stay at Susan's Garden house! Susan is a very lovely lady, who always wants to help you at any time. She helped us plan a few daily trips and we enjoyed the fresh fruit she made everyday. The house is clean, comfortable and there is acces to everything you need. During our stay I haven't seen any cockroaches in the house, which tells you how clean it is. Good bed, shower, etc. can't really say something bad about this house.

  Comments: Susan was very welcoming! She picked me up from the station on my arrival day! My first day it rained hard all day so I stayed at the house and caught up using wifi! Susan kindly invited me to go to her swimming club with her which I enjoyed , the exercise was good! Susan encourages use of kitchen and is not 'precious' about her stuff. She provides a nice breakfast of cereals , some fruit, juice and toast :-)

Although I did not get much time to chat I found Susan a wonderful host and the cabin was exactly what i wanted for a few nights.   Comments: Susan has a small cottage at her home in the backyard. Perfect for one or two people. I stayed there 3 nights and really enjoyed my time there. The cottage comes with everything you need including your own bathroom. Susan is a very gracious and polite host. She took the time to explain the best way to travel in and out of the city. On my first day, I was given the rundown on the breakfast options, free wifi, chats with her pets, and the security of the household. The cabin was spacious, kitted out with a book selection, a digital TV, kettle and heater, pretty much everything. The place was pristine and my nights were very peaceful. The studio was at the bottom of a lovely garden which included a fully equipped en-suit and the room had a kettle, TV, microwave and was furnished very comfortably.   Comments: I was an AIRBNB virgin and I found my first experience overwhelmingly positive. The garden pavilion behind a typical Sydney historic cottage was cute, clean, compact but above all comfortable. With an ensuite bathroom, heating, microwave, hot water jug I had everything I needed for a business, conference and research related trip. Wonderful gourmet café style breakfast options and a generous and considerate host enhanced the experience even further. The position is ideal for Sydney busses with several options for the Unviersity of Sydney, University of New South Wales, Central Station and the CBD. Parramatta Rd is about 10/12 mins walk away The district is cosmopolitan and convenient with many reasonably priced restaurants, cafes, pubs and a supermarket again about 5-10 minutes walk away. I found it safe and quiet, ideal for either business or the non-extreme traveller Like most of historic inner west/southwest Sydney, jet aircraft fly remarkably close above one's head in this suburb on occasions I can not praise this facility too much and if all AIRBNB's are like this ... well.. viva la revolucion

Only issues were very small and very much a personal opinion, you have to walk through the house to get the the little cabin out the back (Susan just said g'day when we walked through and very much gave us our space after a long drive, she was very chill about us walking through at any time of the night even through we were in early and out at a reasonable time) and the planes going to/from the airpott can be a bit of pain. But the cabin out the back is beautiful, very clean everything you need shes helpful to let you know as you get there etc. Definitely will look her up again!

  Comments: I genuinely enjoyed my one-week-stay at Susan's garden studio. It contains everything you need and if you want to cook your own meal, you can do so at the kitchen in the main house. Breakfast fast excellent, lots of variety. Susan herself was very helpful and always up for a nice chat. I received lots of good tips where to go and which busses or trains to use. You might consider bringing earplugs with you. Depending on the time of day, weather and/or logistics at the airport you could hear some airplanes. But this didn't bother me much. I would definitely stay at Susan's place again.

Although due to the rain we ultimately ended up ubering the flat is very conveniently located near several bus stops. It's completely private as well and clean. It's got all the basics needed for a great get away. You can make breakfast in the main house and she's for oatmeas, cereals, teas and coffees to choose from. Although The weather was muggy if you keep the fan on and the windows cracked you can blow most of it out. Susan is also very down to earth and very helpful with directing us with travel! Would definitely recommend.

  Comments: I stayed in Sydney for a working weekend and I just needed a quite place for my self, I didn't wanted to share room or bathroom. This place is good for that.   Comments: I felt at home at Susan's place. It's a lovely house and a quiet neighborhood. In the mornings it was a pleasure to have breakfast listening to the birds under the shadow of trees. Early in the morning the jets began to fly on their landing approach to the airport. Although loud, for me was an excellent way to wake up and begin my explorations of the city. Also, Im a big fan of airplanes, so I was delighted to watch and listen them pass overhead. But don't worry, at the night they stop and it is possible to sleep very well. The studio was comfortable. And is provided with a bookshelf full of books. I loved that.
