  Comments: Me and my parents had great time at Emily's place. The house has a fantastic location, and Emily was a great host. It was easy to communicate and the house was fully equipped. The room can be a little bit tight for three people, but the location and good vibe in the house makes it up. Hope to stay again!

Emily et sa colocataire Louisa ont tout fait pour rendre notre séjour agréable même si on ne les a pas beaucoup vu. Very good experience renting a room at Emily's place ! We were 3 friends visiting New York for a few days and the apartment is very well located and quiet. Emily and her roommate Louisa made our stay really good even if we did not see them a lot.

  Comments: New York is an expensive city and if you want to stay in a good location in Manhattan, you have to spend money. Based on this, I would say that this location is great cause it's worth the money you spend. Well connected (5 minutes walking from Grand Central), big enough for 2 persons, clean. Restaurants and shops 24/7 close to the flat and the neighboorhood looks safe (but I would say the same for almost all Manhattan, there's always people around :)) The bathroom is ok even if has to be shared between more people. The building is old and there's no elevator, the stairway are noisy :-). You are provided with lines and towel. The living room and the kitchen are useful (but honestly I never cooked!). When me and my collegue were there, there was a friend of Emily. He's been friendly and helpful and we felt like we stayed in our home. Emily even if abroad often checked to see if everything was ok, it has been really appreciated. We had some trouble with the WiFi connection (dropping each 5 minutes) but hard rebooting the router fix it (I only did it last day!!!), anyhow it was not a big issue and it's not depending on Emily :) Some suggestions: 1) some additional hanger in the room for the towels 2) fix the door locker :) Overall I would suggest this place to stay in New York, Emily is a great host!

  Comments: It was our first airbnb experience. We (two students) spend in NY 6 days. Room which we rent is very comfortable for two people, bigger than it appears on photos. Bed is okey. Emily is very friendly host. Almost all the time she wasn't at home. So we could use the living room and the kitchen every time we need. It's great! There is one more room for rent in the apartment, however during our stay it wasn't occupied. Towels and bedsheets are provided. The only thing that made us feel a little bit uncomfortable is a sink which was full of dirty dishes and the lack of free space in the fridge. The apartment is located near the Grand Central station. It's convenient, if you want to use the subway. Because there are two express trains that stop on this station (number 5 or 4 - green line). Don't be afraid of the railway station! The area around the house is very safe, clean and quite. There are a lot of restaurants and shops. And the bus stop of New Airport Express (that can take you to and from JFK airport) for 16$ is very close (on 41 East St). Thank you, Emily, for making us feel as at home!   Comments: It was my first time using Airbnb and I could not have picked a better place. It's a great location and everything you could need is a few steps away. I was greeted by Luiza on my first day, she showed me my room and the keys. I liked the note (and chocolates!) that were left on the fireplace, it had great tips on where to go. The air conditioning was great to have when it was super hot in the city. The room was as pictured. The bathroom was great, the shower had good pressure and the water was hot. Didn't use the kitchen much and the living room was nice to retreat to after being out all day. Emily is a great host responding to any questions I had.

  Comments: Emily was so incredibly sweet. She helped us with our luggage and showed us where everything was in her house, and she included a list of restaurant recommendations in our room. There were even chocolates on the bed! :) The location was PERFECT. It was within walking distance to several attractions, as well as the subway system. I was very pleased with our experience here!

  Comments: Our stay in Emily's place was great! The room was great and also the rest of the house! It has a very good location, you can walk to Times Square in a couple of minutes or to the grand central terminal that will take you everywhere! We spent short time at home but Emily was very kind and nice! If I go back to New York I would stay there again!!!

  Comments: Although it had to be delayed due to room owner being out, check-in was overall fine. bathroom time was difficult in the morning and neither of us could shower because of it. I think adding a mirror to the room would significantly increase the value of the space.

  Comments: What a find for the money! Emily is a great host--very approachable, sweet, helpful and responsive--and the location could hardly be improved on. (A few blocks from the ever-handy Grand Central Terminal.) The place is clean and quiet. Though we shared a bathroom, it was hardly ever occupied when we needed it. Not much kitchen space, but we could easily have breakfast, etc., and go on our way in the morning. I'd happily stay there upon a return visit.

  Comments: Emily was very welcoming. She is very open if you have any questions or concerns. She was very friendly and provided some great locations to check out around the city. I spent most of my time outside of the apartment and really only came back to shower and sleep. The bathroom was very clean and looks great, and the room had a great sized comfortable place to sleep as well as air conditioning during some really hot days! Life saver!   Comments: Emily was very nice and friendly, we felt very welcome at her place. There was no problem when we arrived very late due to our lost luggage. She also left us to have our privacy. The room was exactly what we expected and it was also clean. The neighbourhood is very nice, we also felt safe at all times. It is very close to all main tourist attractions. If we decided to visit NY again we would be happy to stay with Emily again.

  Comments: I did not know emily but her roommate luisa. she has been very nice when we arrived immediately giving us some useful information in addition to those that we have asked of us. it was very pleasant to talk with her. the house is in a great location, close to metro and restaurants and nightlife. the room is spacious and the house pretty. excellent communication, the signs were very clear and there was no problem for checkin and checkout.thank luisa.

The location of the flat is perfect, within 10-15 mins of grand central, empire state, rockafella and times square. Really comfy bed and great size room.   Comments: First time I've used AirBnB and I am a convert - My stay with Emily and Luiza was pretty awesome made even more so by the girls local knowledge and them being the perfect hosts, always on hand in person or on the phone - got to see some sights such as Brooklyn I may not of otherwise. The room and their apartment is really well located in the city with just minutes walk to Grand Central meaning you are able to get pretty much anywhere in Manhattan. The room itself was great, comfortable and had everything I needed for my stay. Was nice having a lounge area in the apartment to relax in too after a hard day sight seeing :-) I can't recommend enough. If you want to shut yourself off after a day in the city then you can but the hosts are a great fun and happy to give ideas about what you should be doing next - if I'm back in NYC soon id definitely use again :-)

  Comments: I stayed there in Christmas season. Emily and Luiza are nice, kind and lovely. Their house was also good and convenient to go anywhere cause close to Grand Central station. It is a strong point. However, there is only one small weakness that is no elevator and lots of stairs. If you have a lot of luggage, it will be a weakness to you. Apart from that, everything is excellent. In addition, if I go to NY again, I will book Emily and Luiza's house again too. p.s: I think there are lots of nice house in NY but a few nice host. I was lucky to meet them.

It is a very spacious room with AC, a desk, side table, comfy bed and a area to hang/unpack clothes. She also gave me soon great information of places to go, and a great music spot I’ll remember for my next visit. Would happily stay here again on my next visit.

  Comments: This was only my second time at an AirBnb, the first having been something of a disaster, so I came into this with trepidation -- needlessly, it turned out. Emily's place is great: clean, plenty of space, everything you need, excellent location. Perhaps more importantly, Emily is a lovely person and made me feel at home. And perhaps even more importantly, her cat is a lovely cat :)
