  Comments: This is the best airbnb stay ever! I can't say enough wonderful Mike's place is. Everything in the place is high quality and brand new. This unit has everything to make the stay great and comfortable . Having the washer and dryer is a big plus since we need to wash our wet clothes and towels from the beach every day. We were able to do some light cooking so we didn't have to eat out everyday. The best part of all is the hospitality shown by Mike and his lovely family. We walked into this cozy and beautiful unit feeling at home right away. There was a basket of fruit and goodies along with a bottle of wine on the table for us to enjoy. Communication was always clear and Mike responded promptly whenever we contacted him. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay at his place is pleasant and comfortable while respecting our privacy. It felt like home while being away from home. Kudos to Mike and family. I highly recommend Mike's place for your stay here. You will love it! Thank you so much for being the best host, Mike.

It was immaculate with upscale amenities like gorgeous bathroom with a washlet (now I want one in my house) and close to all major routs to take us anywhere on the island. Just perfect for a couple like us that wanted a little taste of life on Oahu. Mike made us feel very welcome and comfortable, made suggestions what to see and do and was very responsive to our inquires.

  Comments: We have stayed in many rental homes but this one is by far the (Website hidden by Airbnb) brand new studio with everything someone on vacation might need.I'ts very clean.The location is very (Website hidden by Airbnb) about 10-15 min drive from downtown Honolulu.The neighborhood is very safe and quiet.Our host Mike and his family are wonderful people and they were very helpful.They gave us very good information about the interesting places on the island.They welcomed us like family. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends visiting Oahu.

  Comments: Mike is such a gracious host. He makes sure that your stay is comfortable and is very welcoming and so kind. His studio is absolutely breath taking. You want for nothing because everything is provided. The studio is fully stocked with amenities. A beautiful fruit and snack basket welcomes you when you arrive and a bottle of wine gives a romantic touch. The washlet toilet was amazing,and the washer dryer was a nice bonus! We felt like we were staying at a 5 star hotel. The location is central to most places on Oahu, and Mike has a designated parking spot for his Airbnb guest. The neighborhood is quiet and we really enjoyed the comfort and relaxation at Mike's. We will definitely be back!

  Comments: The place is very lovely with a great view. It is very upscale and part of the house compound that has recently been built/renovated by the architect/builder/owner. There are a lot of artisan touches in the bedroom. There is a koi pond and an day-time table area. The place is built as a studio so the bathroom is somewhat open - the walls don't reach the ceiling. The bed is comfortable and there is a washer/dryer (brand new). Mike the host and owner is very gracious and left us a bottle of wine and some island munchies and fruit upon arrival. There is one parking spot next to the house on the sidewalk area - that is Alewa Heights for those who know the area - very tight. We would definitely stay again. Very good value for the price. You do need a car unless you do ironman triathalons and want to like half way up Alewa Heights.

  Comments: Everything you will need will be ready for you when you arrive. It was just like being home. It is close to Waikiki and other beaches in the East. Locale is close to all major freeways, so we got to see all of the North, East, and Southeast sides of Honolulu in a week. I was sceptical of staying in the same property with the owner, but it turned out awesome. Privacy was there, while help was just a phone call away. Mike is truly a great host and new friend.

  Comments: I really enjoyed my stay at Mike's place. From the minute I arrived, he and his family were in communication with me and super helpful. I was traveling alone for my birthday, and his sons treated me more like family than a guest. They are the sweetest people. The guesthouse is beautiful, clean and has everything you need. It's the perfect amount of space for 1 or 2 people. They built it themselves, and their attention to detail does not go unnoticed. There was even a bottle of wine and a basket of treats waiting when I arrived. I had a parking space and access to the outdoor common areas. My trip to Hawaii was immensely better because of my stay here. You won't be disappointed. =)

  Comments: We have relatives in Hawaii and come here often. This space was a great value and had everything we needed and more. We especially enjoyed the kitchen and laundry, didn't have time to enjoy the BBQ, lanai and koi pond but it's all there. Located in a true Hawaiian neighborhood and right outside of downtown, it's great for business travelers or vacationers. I recommend a car, the parking is free.

The amenities were great-really nice soaps, thick towels, cleaning supplies, well organized and the awesome washer and dryer. It was nice having a welcome basket with goodies and drinks after arriving after a long flight. Upstairs looked amazing-we didn't get a chance to hang out on the patio. Next time!!! Thanks again.

  Comments: We stayed in Mike's place during our honey moon trip. Mike and his family made our first airbnb experience INCREDIBLE! The studio is new, clean and artistic! They provided all the things we needed, from beach towel to shower gel, from first aid box to cleansing detergent, from laundry to all of cooking tools, and so on. The queen-size bed was very comfortable. The full view from the balcony was excellent. Every detail makes it home. They also provided the booklets of the tourism guide which is very helpful for us to plan the trip, and Mike's son also suggested us some great local restaurants with reasonable price. Moreover, they even prepared a bottle of wine for us as a gift for our honey moon! It’s like a dream !!

The host and his family are incredibly nice and I wish we had had more time to hang out with them during our short trip. They really make you feel like ohana. The location is also good-away from the crowds of Waikiki, but very close to highways that can get you anywhere on the island quickly, which was perfect for us. We will definitely be back if we find ourselves on Oahu again!

  Comments: This place is perfect! The location is surprisingly central with easy access to the freeways. The unit is beautiful- very clean and extremely well thought out. The design is functional, convenient, and thoughtful, and every amenity has been thought of, and more. The best part of our stay was the host family. We were greeted late at night by Caleb “Sonny” who immediately made us feel welcomed. Mike and Joele are beautiful, generous people who opened their home and their hearts to us. We left the islands with more Ohana than before. Hats off to an outstanding experience all around!

  Comments: Our Airbnb was located in a standalone small house on the owner’s property. We had our private entrance. The Airbnb was a large studio with a separate bathroom. And a kitchen that had a stovetop (no oven or toaster oven). The fridge was full size. There was also a washer and dryer unit. We used this twice and I loved that we could pack less and wash our clothes. There was a TV and a dresser with lots of bins for “Guest Storage”. We filled these bins during our stay with baby stuff (clothes/diapers/wipes), and Alfy’s stuff. On the bottom, were bins with extra guest supplies, such as extra blankets/towels and beach towels. There was another small closet by the bathroom with shelves where I put my stuff. There was a small boogie board and I believe an umbrella for the beach. While we didn’t use these things, it was really nice to have them as an option. The bathroom was fairly large for the small space. The shower had a rain shower unit, but I would have preferred a regular showerhead. There was a lot of shelf space along the mirror shelf. When we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly host who showed us where to park our car. He then showed us our Airbnb and how the lock worked. He left out a welcome basket filled with Hawaiian treats like a pineapple, fresh fruits, and local snacks. There was also cold water and Hawaiian drinks in the fridge, and a bottle of wine! We were thrilled that the host went so far out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. I felt like we had Diamond status—no, I felt more like royalty! I also loved the sliding patio doors and the huge patio off our room. The natural light helped the place feel large, bright, and airy. At any time, we could go outside and enjoy some fresh air and the view! Also for guest use is a large covered outdoor patio with a koi pond and waterfall, sofa, chairs, and game table. There’s a grill and table/chairs for a family meal. We had dinner there the last evening together and had a wonderful time. The weather was just right, and I loved the sound of the running water. The hosts were very friendly, and the wife (named Joele), actually babysat our daughter on two separate occasions while we had a couple’s outing at the zipline, and a trip to Kualoa Ranch for the ATV tour. (Of course we paid her for her time). She was a wonderful sitter and my daughter fell in love with her. We can't wait to go back to Oahu and would love to stay here again! We made wonderful new friends and had an amazing stay!

  Comments: If you can believe it, the accommodations were even better than the photographs. From the moment we arrived, our host Mike was waiting for us at the gate and during the entire stay if there was anything at all we needed or wanted to know we just had to ask. The apartment had everything we could have desired and included a lovely gift basket when we arrived. The amenities were top shelf like the washer and dryer we used after spending a week at the beach and the Japanese toilet that was just plain fun to use (too personal?) By the end of our stay we didn't want to leave and felt like we were part of the family. We'll be back.

  Comments: Being my first visit in Hawaii, I wanted to feel very homey and comfortable. Mike's guest room was wonderful! I couldn't have picked a better place. It was definitely much more enjoyable than staying in a boring hotel. The guest room is detached so all the privacy is there and it had a pretty dang good view. The room is very modern and had all the amenities you need. It even had a bidet! I would definitely stay there again. Mike is a wonderful host and I would absolutely recommend him to my friends and family.

The quarters is very roomy, and includes your own private lanai overlooking Honolulu city lights. First-class huge Kitchenette with full fridge, microwave, 2-burner stove AND washer and dryer with a quiet a/c for your comfort. Plus all the added details - coffee maker, bottle of wine, fresh fruit and treats- the list goes on.... I cannot say enough about the hosts Mike and Joelle. Their hospitality and Aloha beams from the very first moment you meet them. Their attention to detail is why this place feels like home away from home the moment you enter. They also offered their huge bbq lanai and outdoor space if you wanted to entertain just upstairs of your separate quarters - so much Aloha!   Comments: 정말 좋았어요. 업자들이 하는 숙소가 아니라 진짜 그들이 살고있는 예쁜 집이고 완전 독립된 1층 독채를 내어줍니다. 정말 일반 가정집이라 번지수대로 찾아가서 전화하면 마이크가 문을 열어줘요. 그는 따뜻한 아저씨입니다. 연락 정말 잘되고 그와 그의 아들은 매우 친절합니다. 와이파이 빵빵터지고, 따뜻한물 잘나옵니다. 수건 넉넉하고 침구 깨끗해요. 냄비, 후라이팬, 각종 향신료와 조미료 다 있어요. 양은냄비까지 있었어요. 젓가락도 있고요. 너구리 끓여먹었습니다. 다 갖춰져있어요. 게다가 세탁기와 건조기 냉장고가 LG입니다ㅋㅋ 쉽게 사용할 수 있고 컴팩트한 세재도 비치되어있어요. 정말 요긴하게 썼어요. 벌레하나 없고, 사진에 나와있는 테라스같은곳도 언제든지 사용할 수 있어요. 그들이 바베큐 파티를 하는 것도 봤어요ㅋㅋ 고지대에 위치해서 선셋과 야경이 아주 멋집니다. 렌트카로 자유여행하신다면 망설이지 마세요. 다운타운과 조금 먼 것쯤은 전혀 문제가 되지 않아요. 전 하와이 다시가면 여기갈거에요 또!

Nice views of the city and while the space is small, it had everything we needed for our short stay, including modern facilities and the bed was very comfortable.   Comments: Mike`s place is wonderful! The location is amazing. we felt so safe at his place and it`s close to the city center. Right when we arrived he warmly welcomed us and we felt at home and taken care of right away! His place is beautiful and we really appreciated how clean it was. There were so many great things about the apartment, but what we appreciated the most was the bed which was the best bed we`ve ever slept on! Mike had also thought about absolutely everything that we might need which was so sweet and really made our stay super relaxed! :)

Everything was so clean and beautiful and his family were so welcoming. It truly felt like a home away from home. Can't recommend it enough. A must-stay in Oahu.

  Comments: 싱크대 문이 고장났다고 수리비 200불 청구했습니다. 우리가 사용할때는 전혀 문제가 없었는데, 부속품이 닳아서 나사 끼워지는 부분이 갈라진건데 우리가 부러뜨렸다고 수리비 청구를 하더군요. 문을 열고 닫고만 했는데 키도 안닿는 높은곳에 붙어 있는 스텐레스를 부러뜨렸다는게 말이 안되고, 위치도 다운타운에서 멀고, 주차도 편하지는 않았습니다. 원룸 형태 방에 화장실은 천장이 뚫려서 소리가 밖으로 굉장히 크게 들려서 민망합니다. 그래도 별탈없이 지내고 왔다고 생각했는데, 수리비 청구를 하니 어이가 없었습니다. 에어비앤비 자주 이용하는데, 나올땐 무조 사진 다 찍어서 나오는걸 추천합니다 Host requested repair cost. But we didnt do that. So I contacted to airbnb. I hope no one will be treated unfairly.

  Comments: If you have ever wondered where to find paradise, it's right here. We have been to all sorts of different countries and places to stay, but Mikes place was the best we have been to by far. Even though our stay was only for a week, it showed us the true meaning of paradise with a huge sense of ohana because you will feel like home and enjoy Mikes great hospitality. The details: Very clean with timeless furniture, brand new washer and dryer as well as a huge fridge, AC and toaster. Toilet from the future, rain shower and amenities like in a 5 star hotel. Very comfortable bed, big enough for two. The balcony between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM is your private sunset spot to enjoy some wine etc. A big mahalo to Mike and your family. You're awesome people! A hui hou!

  Comments: Mike’s place deserves 6 stars!!! The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s very clean with lovely little touches (for example he had plants in the guesthouse that I thought looked real... my bf later informed me they were real) :-) We were in Hawaii to celebrate my bday and he had a sweet welcome gift for me. Communication with Mike beforehand was great. He always got back to me promptly. When we were there I also had a few more questions and he answered usually within minutes, and always happy to help. Mike is such a warm & welcoming host, I cannot say enough wonderful things about him and the guesthouse. I would recommend this Airbnb to all my friends & family without hesitation. Well maybe a little hesitation because once the word gets out on how great this place is, I hope we can still get reservations when we return ;)

Mike’s beautiful home is centrally located to everything we did. The parking spot was essential to our stay. The guest house is sparkly clean and has everything we needed. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the balcony. Mike also provided us a gift basket that was very nice. I can’t say enough nice things about Mike’s place.   Comments: This was our second opportunity staying at Mike's studio apartment and it was as excellent as the first time. We were excited to stay at Mike's place again. Mike enthusiastically welcomed us back and re-familiarized us to everything the place had to offer. We love Mike's place. Other than its beautiful design, the location in the Alewa Heights neighborhood is ideally situated for us as it is barely a five minute drive for visiting family in my old neighborhood down the road. It is clean, bright, perfect in size for a couple or single person. All that you need to get started is there in the form of the gift basket with a mixture of healthy fruits as well as some sweet snacks. The fridge has canned local drinks and bottles of water. The kitchen, bathroom are thoughtfully stocked with all the amenities. Even a full size washer/dryer are provided. The place just feels complete. Thank you, Mike!

  Comments: Mike's place was beyond our expectations. The place looks identical to the photos here on airbnb. Everything is so new and modern and Mike makes sure to put extra little touches on everything in the guest house. Luckily the guests before us left early, so Mike was able to get us checked in earlier. This was very much appreciated because we were pretty tired from our plane ride in. Mike walked us through and had wine, a basket of fruit and snacks and water and drinks in the fridge. It is very rare that you encounter such a great host that provides you with these extra things, it was really nice! Mike also has beach towels and beach accessories, so you don't have to worry about bringing those items with you, or worry about going out to buy some. There is also shampoo, conditioner and body wash available, and a hair dryer too! The neighborhood is quiet, so if you are going to Hawaii to relax then this is the place to book. The parking spot in front of the main house is a bit small, so make sure you rent a compact car and you'll be just fine. We had a tiny Corolla and we fit with even some space to spare. I am already ready to visit the Island again and will definitely be looking to see if Mike's place is available to stay. Thanks for everything again Mike! Your home is amazing!

  Comments: Mike’s place was incredible! One of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had. The studio was large, open and clean. It provided everything we needed including laundry, a full sized fridge, stove top, all the bathroom amenities you could want as well as beach towels, an umbrella, and a fantastic private balcony for lounging on at the end of each day. Mike also has a huge, beautiful outdoor living area with a grill and TV that he offered for us to use as well (shown in the listing photos) we were out most of the days so we didn’t get a chance to use it, but it’s a fantastic space. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was great after a long warm day of hiking. Mike and his son were easily accessible and responsive but the apartment was very private. Highly recommended! The location is in a neighborhood near some great inexpensive, authentic restaurants and it is easy to access downtown, Waikiki, and the coasts while avoiding a lot of the traffic. Don’t hesitate!

  Comments: Mike’s place is truly a home away from home. We searched many Airbnb properties across the island, and this place was the best balance of location, amenities, privacy, and comfort. Upon arriving, we parked in our own dedicated parking spot, which was provided to use during our stay. We were greeted by Mike, and he gave us a tour of his beautiful property. Inside the place was a gift basket with local fruits, and a bottle of wine! There was an in-unit washer and dryer which allowed us to pack much lighter, and the kitchen/fridge was a nice touch as well. Can't wait to stay here again!

  Comments: Quel accueil chaleureux chez Mike! Il était présent pour nous accueillir à notre arrivée et nous montrer le studio, très sympathique. Nous avons apprécié le panier de fruits laissé à notre attention, ainsi qu'une bonne bouteille de vin. Des bouteilles d'eau et de jus étaient au frigo, ainsi que quelques condiments de base pour cuisiner. La propreté était impeccable, et le logement tout à fait conforme aux photos de l'annonce. On voit que Mike a le soucis du détail et nous n'avons manqué de rien : serviettes, serviettes de plages, 2 formats d'oreiller au choix, vaisselle, ustensiles, contenants pour les lunchs etc. Bien que la cuisine n'ait pas de four, le BBQ a été très utile. Nous avons bien aimé profiter de l'espace extérieur pour écouter la télé un peu le soir, ou relaxer en prenant un verre sous le gazebo. Bien que la résidence principale soit tout juste à côté avec ses occupants, nous avons vraiment eu un sentiment d'intimité dans notre espace. Côté emplacement, nous avons aimé être près de la ville! C'est très bien positionné pour visiter, à environ 15 à 30 minutes en auto de la plus part des visites que nous avons faites (Kailua Beach, Diamond Head, Waikiki, Hanauma bay, Pearl Harbor et de nombreuses randonnées) et environ 1 heure du North Shore et de la charmante ville d'Haleiwa. Le quartier en lui même est résidentiel et perché dans la colline, mais à deux pas de la ville et des autoroutes. Les maisons y sont parfois en mauvais état, et d'autres très belles comme celle de Mike, mais en tout temps nous nous sommes sentis en sécurité dans ce secteur, les résident y sont très tranquilles. On a vraiment trouvé nécessaire d'avoir une auto et d'avoir accès au GPS/réseau cellulaire pour s'orienter dans le quartier et dans la ville. Il faut aussi prendre en compte des heures de pointe et de savoir les éviter pour traverser Honolulu via la H1, car le trafic peut être dense à certaines heures! (direction Est le matin, et direct Ouest le soir, souvent en sens contraire de nos plans heureusement.) Finalement si vous pensez cuisiner, il y a une épicerie Times tout près qui est très pratique, mais un peu chère. Ça vaut la peine de se rendre au Walmart pour débuter la semaine. Au final, un gros coup de coeur pour Oahu et pour notre séjour chez Mike, un voyage vraiment mémorable!
