Summary: Sun drenched, quiet, and cozy entire one bedroom apartment in South Slope with views of Statue of Liberty and quick access to the city via the R subway at the corner. The area is quiet but lively, one avenue away from 5th Ave loaded with restaurants and bars. After a bad experience, I now have a policy of only hosting guests with prior trips and positive reviews. If you request to stay without any reviews, I will politely decline.
Space: The bedroom has a full size bed and you will be able to hang clothes on a hook outside the closet. The living room is furnished with a comfortable sofa, side chair, and Sling/Roku TV. One additional guest can stay on the large sofa (or a twin air mattress if requested). The kitchen is fully equipped with a large sink, fridge, stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. You will have access to dishes, utensils, pots, pans and whatever else you might need for cooking. My apartment is ~400 sq feet, so please book elsewhere if you're looking for more space.

Comments: Amanda's place is exactly what is depicted in the pictures! Her place is comfortable and extremely clean! Four stops away from the Barclays Centre (at the Atlantic Terminal) allows for access to Queens, Manhattan and Harlem! The neighbourhood is quiet. There is convenience store right at the corner where you can grab breakfast, lunch or dinner. Overall I would recommend anyone to stay here!! Her place is really comfortable and has a homey feeling!

Comments: My stay at Amanda's was great! She was very responsive and her home was VERY clean. Great location, safe and convenient one block from the train. I would stay at Amanda's the next time I'm in the city, without a doubt. Southern hospitality at its finest.

Comments: Amanda was a very responsive host, even though we did not get to meet. She answered any questions very quickly and the check-in and check-out process was seamless. Right now the nearest subway station is closed, but the next one is still walkable (10 min walk). It was surprisingly quiet for a New York City apartment! It had everything we needed, and plenty of stores nearby. We would stay again!

Comments: Amanda's home was perfect. I'm originally from Brooklyn and was visiting from buffalo with my boyfriend. The home is cozy and perfect for 2 ppl and looks exactly like the photos. We didn't use public transportation during this trip but the location is great for driving to and from manhattan only about a 30 minute drive . Corner store and deli were convenient. The people in front of the building were friendly never bothered us . The building was quiet and the neighborhood was safe we came in pretty late the days we were there. I could be a bit bias being that my family and friends live in Parkslope but I would definitely recommend her home to everyone .

Comments: Amanda's place was clean, bright & comfortable. The space is small, but enough for 2. There are shops, restaurants & bars within walking distance as well as a subway station (though it was closed during our stay.) You'll get a workout traversing the stairs but its worth it to get a peek at the Statue of Liberty through the windows. Check in was easy & we didn't need to meet up. Amanda always responded quickly & we had no issues or complaints. Will definitely stay again!

Comments: This is a great place to stay in Brooklyn. A 30-min drive to JFK (or 90mins and 3 changes on public transit). It's a small place, but for the two of us, we didn't feel like it was tiny (really, Amanda's done a great job with setting it up to maximize the space). The bathroom can feel cramped, but hey this is NYC, you have to sacrifice something. The AC's are great after an arduous walk upstairs. I loved the artwork in the apartment (I'll buy the System of Colours poster for myself, Amanda). Check-in was smooth, and while we didn't meet up, Amanda was always responsive and helpful. Will definitely stay again!

Reviewer: Martine
Comments: Pros: - easy access to the apartment which was very clean and bright, in good order, with air-conditioned; - modern kitchen with dishwasher, comfortable bedroom and living room; - owner easy to reach and attentive (accomodated a late departure). Cons: - lack of equipment in kitchen (only one saucepan available, no strainer, lack of container for leftovers), very small bathroom.

Comments: This was a cozy, clean and welcoming apartment to stay in for a weekend trip to Brooklyn. Was great to find clean towels and everything meticulous and tidy. Directions were clear and my wife and both felt safe throughout our stay. We could also see the statue of liberty from our kitchen window. Thank you so much Amanda!

Comments: Amanda’s Place is lovely - beautifully decorated and super charming! Also very clean. The apartment is small, but that’s pretty standard for NYC. It’s in Brooklyn, but close to the subway so you have easy access into Manhattan. Amanda left us very clear instructions for checking in and she was able to be flexible with check out! Love staying here and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a stylish retreat in the city!

Comments: This place was spotless, great but non-pretentious neighborhood, close the R and Q making it easy to get to and from. A nice walk to prospect park and quiet enough when you get back to sleep. I never met Amanda but she seems cool, the place is a well put together example of a youthful, cozy one bedroom in a part of Park Slope that won’t make you feel out of place if you are as cool as Amanda and I are. If you want to look down your nose or want to be foot steps from Guy Fieri’s trash excuse for a restaurant (sorry) don’t come. If you want good vibes, an affordable stay, and to get a few decorating inspirations this is the place. 5 Gold Stars

Comments: Looking for a cute, cozy and stylish place in Brooklyn? This is your spot! With a view (far, but still a view) of the Statue of Liberty from the kitchen, Amanda's place is warm and inviting. You also will be sure to get a good night's rest with her HEAVENLY bed and pillows. The location was conveniently located next to the R train with easy access to the rest of Brooklyn and into Manhattan. Thanks, Amanda!
