  Comments: Staying at Jae's place was a great first experience for me with airbnb. Prior to confirming booking Jae was very helpful and answered a number of questions about the apartment, the area and transport to Manhattan etc. He replied without delay. Jae was really accommodating about my arrival time, and met me at the apartment. The place is great. Recently refurbished so everything is brand new. It's a great space for two people - maybe four since there is a sofa bed in addition to the double bedroom. The apartment is bright with windows all round and two skylights for additional light and ventilation. AC worked well. I loved the local neighbourhood. Nice pub two minutes away (Duck Duck) and a couple of organic delis and an awesome bagel shop for breakfast and coffee (Bread Brothers). The L train station is 5 mins walk, and midtown Manhattan is about ten minutes on the train. I had to commute to the UN building and it took me 30 minutes door to door. Jae was a great host. The apartment is family run so they have a vested interest in making it really welcoming. He even left beer in the fridge for me! Highly recommended.

It was more spacious than most places you will find in New York and the price is definitely reasonable.   Comments: Jae was there waiting for us at the door when we arrived, and was there on the phone or through airbnb msgs when we needed him. The apartment is great, really spacious and clean. It has some really good bars and cafés nearby and is super easy to get into Manhattan via the L train just around the corner. It is well worth exploring Brooklyn though. You could spend weeks finding all the little delights of NYC. We didn't want to leave!

Really close to subway and walking distance (about 25 mins) to the main Williamsburg Bedford Ave strip, Jae's place was lovely to come home to after our busy days out. It was lovely having a kitchen, lounge, tv etc. as it felt like a home away from home!

  Comments: We had a wonderful stay at Jae's apartment. Everything from the cleanliness, to the temperature, was very accommodating. Just a short distance from the nightlife on Bedford Ave. and we took a cab from lower Manhattan to the apartment, that only cost us $13! There is a nice neighborhood bar 20 yards from the door of the apartment, and another decent spot just around the corner. This place is great, would definitely come back and stay again.

  Comments: I was in NY for a few days to work (and play) and Jae's place was perfect. Very clean and recently renovated, with a full kitchen, TV, wifi, cable, etc. Two blocks away from the subway and a short walk to many great restaurants and bars around Brooklyn. We had a great time and Jae was very nice and helpful.

  Comments: Jae was an amazing host! Not only did he carry my luggage upstairs, he was kind and very inviting. My only qualm with the apartment was how it is listed as a "quite Williamsburg apartment" when it actually was quite loud with people playing music. All that said, it did not affect my stay much at all. The apartment was very clean and was a comfortable stay for 4 days.

Safe location was what both my girlfriend and I wanted and definitely got with this place. Loved how close it was to the train.   Comments: We had a fantastic time in NY and loved Jae's apartment. It gives you the chance heading downtown within 10 min and is located around the corner of vibrant Williamsburg centre in Bedford Avenue. Everything was clean and the little extra room was perfect for storing our suitcases. Jae was a very nice host and gave us great advise on restaurants, bars and general information. We definitely recommend staying at this apartment.

  Comments: Great place! Jae was a very good host and very flexible, responded very fast on al queries we had. Apartment is nice, clean and quite big (for 2 persons more than fine), good bed. Airco bit loud but we didn't need it at night. The neighborhood is not very special in our view, you need to take the subway to bedford av. (only a few stops) or manhattan.

  Comments: Jae was an awesome host. The photos of his apartment are exactly as shown and he provided us with all the little things you may need (clean towels, sheets, hair dryer and an iron). Kitchen came in handy and there are many organic grocery stores around the area. It's the type of place I'd want to rent if I ever had to move to New York for work. Loved the skylights - though it did get very bright early in the morning. I suggest you bring sleep masks. Oh, and air conditioning. Air conditioning was great.

  Comments: Min is a great host, he was waiting for us on our arrival and gave us tips about the area. He was very kind and cooperative by all means. The apartment was clean and pleasant and is very close to the subway, getting into Manhattan every day was a breeze. It is great for two couples There are many grocery stores around and the kitchen is fully equipped to cook on the days you don't feel like going out for dinner. We stayed 18 days and had a great time at this Brooklyn apartment. I would definitely stay here again!

  Comments: Jae was a great host and on time to meet me the day of check in. He gave a detailed tour of the space and answered all the questions I had. The apartment was huge with plenty of space & great natural light from the skylights. Even if you decide to stay in, Jae has cable TV and a great section couch that's easy to fall asleep on. The neighborhood was great with 2 subway options just blocks away and late night stores to get any drinks or snacks if needed. I didn't want to leave & wished it was my place.

The apartment itself is great, complete breath of fresh air from hotel rooms, particularly since they are quite small in Manhattan. The bed was comfy and lounge and kitchen spaces both great to chill out. Having a fridge to buy local beers and cheese and have a night in was great too. Neighborhood was really easy to get around, two train lines close by, the L easy to get around and about 4 stops from the main Williamsburg bars and restaurants. Laundromat two doors down was also very helpful. Thanks again, would definitely recommend to friends!

When, we arrived, he was here and gave us many informations about the neighbourhood :) His appartement is very nice, not far to Bedford Avenue (20 minutes to walk) and very near to the subway. The last day, he was agree for keeping ours lugages before going to the airport !

  Comments: This was our fist time using airbnb and Jae made it a great experience. He was a great host and even helped us with our luggage when we got there. The apartment looked exactly liked the pictures described. It's also about 2 blocks away from the station, so that was convenient. But, if you're in the city walking around for the entire day and catch the subway back.. those 2 blocks can seem way longer lol. Also, if you're a light sleeper or plan on taking naps during the day be aware that there is a raver downstairs. He/she likes to bump very loud edm music throughout the day/night. And yes it can be heard throughout the whole entire building. Overall, I would recommend this stay if you're planning a trip to NYC.

The apartment itself is great (we love the exposed brick), and the photos are very accurate. It's a very comfortable space for four people; it never felt crowded. The apartment downstairs plays loud music at times which is generally fine, although once we did actually feel the bass. The neighbourhood is great! It's less than a five minute walk away from the L train, and you can very easily connect to other train lines once you get into Manhattan. Danny's Pizza is awesome (get the buffalo wings); Dunwell Doughnuts was a daily stop; Cup does decent coffee. I'd definitely come back here again.

  Comments: What can i say, great large apt compared to Manhattan standards. A real one bedroom in Williamsburg BK 4 stops from the city. Forewarning its a 3rd floor walk up but aren't most NY buildings? Easy access with code entry to building and apt door. Spacious bedroom & kitchen. We ordered seamless a few times & we felt at home. We locked ourselves out but Jae was able to unlock it when we returned from sightseeing. Overall good bang for your buck!

  Comments: Four of us stayed in the apartment, which was clean, tidy and smart. For that number it was maybe a little small as there is no door to the living area, where the sofa bed is, which meant there wasn't much privacy! It was in a nice enough neighbourhood, cafés and bars nearby, walking distance to the busier parts of Williamsburg and easy to get in to Manhattan. We had a few questions whilst we were there and, although we never got a chance to meet, Jae was great at answering the and making sure everything was ok. Would be a perfect base for a couple, I wish we'd had more time to settle in and explore a bit more.

  Comments: This was my first AIRBNB experience and I loved it. I arrived on a red eye flight and was out and about all day everyday so I never actually met Jae, but he was always contactable if I had a question. I didn't go far in the immediate area except maybe to the grocery store, but I did stop at Bedford stop (4 stops away on the L - 5 mins) almost everyday as I just loved to sit in the AMAZING coffee shops and relax before I travelled into Manhattan. I just love the Williamsburg vibe! Subway into Manhattan easy and not more than 25 mins or so. The apartment itself was perfect. I felt safe and had zero worries. Exactly what I needed and would definitely stay here again.

  Comments: This was my first airbnb experience and it really exceeded my expectations. Jae was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. He met me at the apartment as soon as I arrived in the city and provided me with information about the apartment, neighborhood and gave me some extra blankets for an additional guest. The apartment was perfect for 2 people but could have easily accommodated more. It was clean and bright and in a great location on the border of Williamsburg and Bushwick.   Comments: Jae's apartment is great. It's very well located and is just a short stroll away from number of subway stops. This meant it was still very easy to get in and out of Manhatten within 20 minutes (if you'd rather a taxi, it was approximately $20-25 from midtown). Williamsburg is a vibrant neighbourhood and there are some great bars/cafes near to the apartment. The apartment itself was perfect for two people. It's a great size and the living space is comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and there are a few small grocery stores nearby if you fancy eating in. Jae is a great host - everything went very smoothly and he was on hand if we needed anything. I'd definitely recommend the apartment to anyone looking to experience a different part of New York and wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we revisit Williamsburg.

There were extra details about the flat that made the stay nicer.   Comments: Booked this location for my parents that came to visit me in the city for a week. Perfectly clean and comfortable, as described in the listing. Only two blocks to the Montrose L stop so mobility is easy. Some nice delis in the area for supplies etc and plenty of options close by on Seamless if you stay in to eat. Jae was great for communication from beginning to end and offered tips that only New Yorkers would be aware of.

His apartment was perfect for our stay (3 adults) with the bed, bedding and sofa bed all really comfortable. It's very close to the subway and the local neighbourhood is full of bars and grocery shops and it's no more than 5 mins on the subway to Bedford Ave and then 10 mins into Manhattan - all very easy. Aircon worked a dream which was perfect for our July visit. Without doubt I would use Jae's apartment again for my next NYC visit - highly recommended.

  Comments: Jae consiguió que me sintiera como en casa por su trato tan atento y amable, además como vive en el mismo edificio te da la tranquilidad de que si pasa algo lo tienes cerca. El piso es muy luminoso y agradable y está bastante cerca de la boca de metro. Justo debajo hay una lavandería, por lo que es muy cómodo para lavar la ropa. Y doblando la esquina hay un local el,Duck Duck muy agradable para tomar unas cervezas con gente local del barrio. Da gusto llegar cada día al barrio después de la visita diaria de Manhattan y quedarte por la zona de Bedford Avenue donde hay un ambiente increíble.

  Comments: A solid place to stay in the New York City area - very clean and no complaints. Jae makes sure to be available for guests needs. The area itself is safe, and didn't have any problems at all. We walked over to grand st around 9pm to get some french bistro, so it's quite accessible.

  Comments: I stayed at jae's house since the end of September to early October. As you can see from the many reviews, his house is really clean, spacious and comfortable. I was impressed with his kindness. Whenever I asked him to do some he always kindly solved everything. And really convenient for transportation. The metro L station is really close. it takes at 5 minutes in his house. Above all the L line take me to manhattan only 7 stops by union square. Close to anywhere in Manhattan, so we were wowed. His house have skylight windows in the living room and the kitchen. Bright day makes bright, rainy day makes graceful. I can not forget the memory that i talked with my friend eating delicious bread every morning in New York.

Jae was a great host - he has lots of useful information and made our arrival and departure very stress free. The apartment is very well provisioned and extremely comfortable. The local area is really nice - the organic market on Montrose is great and there is a big supermarket just up the road. Danny's pizza just next to the apartment is great for a slice and around the corner on Montrose there is a good bar - Duck Duck - serving a great selection of beer. We had a great time - would recommend it highly.

  Comments: It was a nice experience staying at Jae's. As we already know the places around Graham street it was easy for us to feel "like home" in this area. One of the best Bagel spots is just around the corner. (Bread Brothers Bagel Cafe). There are some smaller bars and restaurants. The more "fancy" ones you find at Bedford Avenue. The apartement is close to the L train so you are at Bedford as well in Manhattan within a few minutes. The apartement itself was quite nice for a city trip like this. Wlan and TV are working, theres a big kitchen and enough space to store the clothes. Bed is comfortable. Unfortunately the apartement is clairaudient. The communication with Jae worked without any problems! Thank you for having us!

  Comments: I had a great stay. Jae is very responsive and so thoughtful -- helped us get our heavy luggage up the stairs! Wi-fi is fast and great to have cable TV for when you are in the apartment. Loved the two skylights! Amazing grocery store up Graham and a cute, very good bagel shop a couple of blocks away.

  Comments: This is a great apartment - Looks just like it does in the photos and no one lives there, so it's almost like a hotel room. You get in with a keypad, so there's no locks to fiddle with. And it's only a $10 - $20 Uber ride to anywhere in Brooklyn. My only complaint is that the cleaning service did not do a great job before I arrived. They forgot to leave towels and I specifically reserved this room to shower and get ready before a wedding. I alerted the host and he was unable to get me towels until the next day. So that was a problem. But I would stay here again - I'd just make sure I brought my own towels this time.

  Comments: Jae's Flat is very nice, clean and spacious with everything you need. You don't need a key, so the check-in is very easy. The communication with Jae was good when we were in NYC, the days before I was a little afraid he could cancel because he answered only after I send a few messages. Two things were not so nice in the flat: we had a mouse and a lot of mosquitoes (although there a fly-screens on all windows, so Jae did everything he can, he also suggested to come and lay traps for the mouse) and I don't know if it is a bar around or just neighbors but there was very loud music two nights, so we could not really sleep. But in all it was a nice experience and we would come back.

It was roomy, had great facilities (we were grateful for effective heating when the weather cooled down) and was really close to the subway. It's a quick train trip to Bedford Ave, and only another few stops on to Union Square in Manhattan, so a really convenient location. There's a full line supermarket a couple of blocks down the street, and some nice bars and cafes in the immediate vicinity. A really fantastic wine shop opened up at the base of our building in our first week there, so we were happy with that! There seems to be a deli on every second corner, not just in Brooklyn but everywhere we went in New York. All in all a great experience.

Wir konnten den Checkout-Zeitpunkt kurzfristig nach hinten verschieben, das war super denn so konnten wir noch einmal New York ohne Koffer genießen bevor wir dann zum Flughafen mussten. Die Umgebung/Nachbarschaft gibt einem zu keinem Zeitpunkt ein unsicheres Gefühl. Es ist sehr ruhig. Wir haben immer mit offenem Fenster geschlafen. Direkt neben dem Apartment ist ein sehr schönes Weingeschäft mit einer sehr guten Auswahl. Die Bahnstation Montrose Ave. ist nur einige Minutesn zu Fuss entfernt und die Verbundung nach Manhatten problemlos. Fahrtdauer insg. ca. 25 Minuten. Alles in einem ein super Aufenthalt auch wenn das Apartment nicht zu 100% blitzblank sauber war. Wir haben uns zu keinem Zeitpunkt geekelt oder unwohl gefühlt. Wir würden das Apartment in jedem Fall weiter empfehlen. Danke Jae!

  Comments: The apt is really shielded from street noise. There's a unit next door that acts as a great buffer. The apt was really cute and updated. For us the location was great; close to friends and the train. The linens were in great condition and the memory foam mattress was really comfortable. Plenty of hot water, dishes, and the heat worked great. We loved the skylights in the living room and kitchen. The one tiny drawback was the wall that divided the two units was paper thin and we could hear just about everything that went on with the neighbors. Otherwise, we'd be happy to book this spot again.   Comments: My wife and I have stayed with Airbnb in New York before and this was by far our best experience. Jae's place was large, clean, quiet and best of all for July, very cool. It was great to get home to each evening after a busy day in the city. Williamsburg is a great part of Brooklyn. What I particularly liked were all the excellent bars and restaurants in walking distance you could pop to (I recommend Westlight and The Four Horsemen) and getting into the city was quick and easy on the Metro. If you have time do pop into Jae's fab wine store on the ground floor - we picked up some excellent gin to bring back to London.

Probably because of the time difference, Jae was a bit slow responding to my first question, but thereafter responded quickly. The location is great, very close to the L line, we clocked 32 minutes from Rockefeller tube station to the apartment. And it is close to hip and happening Williamsburg (Bedford Ave). The apartment was clean and the mattress super comfortable (at least for us). We were there during 90-100 degree weather so the two A/C window units couldn't quite keep up, but with one unit in the bedroom and an oscillating floor fan, we slept comfortably. Happy to have a coffee maker, toaster, microwave and enough basic cooking equipment so that we could make breakfast before heading out for the day. Good market just up the street for buying some essentials plus a corner convenience store/deli and pizza place right next door. Not a lot of good restaurants or bars in the immediate area but plenty of options just a short bus or cab/Uber ride away. We'd definitely stay at Jae's again the next time we're in N.Y.!

  Comments: Jae's place is exactly as he describes - it is serene, sparkling clean, and quiet. It made our stay in Brooklyn a great one. The apartment has a great layout and he even offered amenities like extra towels and a hair dryer which we really appreciated. Next time we're in Brooklyn we hope to stay here again.

  Comments: Apartment is new and very pretty. It is also clean. Location is very convenient - 4 minute walk from the subway. As the house is old and apartment is on the 3rd floor, it was quite difficult to climb up with suitcases. Jae is very friendly and was eager to help with the issues we had with the apartment , but as he was in another country at the moment, communication was very slow.

  Comments: This apartment is better suited for young people because it is a 3rd story walk up via very narrow and steep staircase. The checkin process is excellent. The apartment is very clean. The upholstery on couch and chaise needs some serious cleaning. If anyone knows Brooklyn and the critters that live in most apartments there - Jae’s apartment is immaculate and clean. So if you as fit to do staircases and you need clean this is the place for you.

  Comments: Check-in was extremely easy, and the pictures are a wonderful reflection of the space. The apt is located to so many great restaurants and bars, and was a fairly short trip on the subway to other areas of New York. Definitely a nice place to stay!

  Comments: It’s a good location to travel into Manhattan and it has a good shower and the bed is comfortable but overall for the price the place could do with a bit of a tidy up for example the electrical fittings are loose and there are stains and marks around the place

I have to have my coffee like millions of others! Good location but we didn't take the subway so not sure how far of a walk that is. BYOC
