Comments: Mike's house is a great and budget friendly place to stay, very close to the cool and relaxed downtown of Paia, away from any resort and big tourism area. Best of all Rina is a very nice person who helps you with any question and makes you really feel at home! She helped a lot for our children with many toys and stroller. Now as we are gone our daughter wants to go back to the lanai with the toys. Thanks Rina for everything!

Comments: We stayed one week in Mike's House and really enjoyed every second of it. Our room was spacious and nice and the balcony was perfect to have breakfast in the Hawaiian sun. The location is great for all kind of trips, and Paia downtown is in walking distance. Rina provided us with everything we needed, including towels, guides and even a barbecue :) Thanks again, Rina!!

Comments: Our 3-night stay at Mike's House to end our trip in Maui was perfect. Rina is very kind and helping, and the location is great, especially if you want to see the big waves of the north shore or drive the road to Hana. The restaurants and shops of Paia are a short walk away. Our room was well equipped and clean. Thanks Rina!

Comments: My husband and I enjoyed 3 nights at Mike's House. We highly recommend staying there as it was clean, affordable, and walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. Most importantly, however, was the Aloha Spirit that we felt from Rina. Thanks for a great stay. We'll be back!

Comments: Rina was simply a great host. Like supplying some of the little items that make a big difference when traveling. In our case beach towels, beach chairs, back pack, and bag cooler. The house was clean and well looked after. The friendly atmosphere was also a plus. Paia is centrally located and close to the airport. It is a young vibrant area. The only con I can think of was the bed was a double bed and we are used to something bigger. Bruce and Shelley

Gedeckter Parkplatz vorhanden. 5-minütiger Fussmarsch bis ins Zentrum von Paia.

Comments: It was nice. It would have been nice to have an air conditioner in the room though. It gets very hot in Maui, even at night, starting in early May and on. The rooster in the neighbors yard woke us up in the morning. If we had an AC we could have shut the door instead of leave it open for the breeze. But Rina was great and super helpful. They had a big fridge in the common kitchen we could use, tons of cookware and stuff. They also left us some beach towels and picnic bags we used for our trips. That was super helpful!

Comments: Staying at Rina's place was very nice. We loved Paia with the little shops, supermarket and restaurants. Especially that you can walk to these places from home is very good. The double bed we had was a little too small for two adults so we shared the bed with our daughter. Rina was very helpfull with tips and every day we saw her in case we had any questions. Ho'okipa was our favorite beach were green sea turtles coma ashore almost every day to rest.

Comments: Rina was an amazing host, she did everything to help me with clear indications to find the bnb. The house was very very clean, she work's hard! I had such a great time there and talking with her. The house is very well located, close from the boutiques, Mana grocery which is great, beaches, restaurants. Felt very safe in the place too and it was calm and cozy :-) Wish I will be able to go back!

Comments: Everything you need to feel at home. Our room had a half bathroom (toilet) and sink. Big room and a private patio to boot. Hoku had everything ready and the communication was excellent. The house is located in the small town of Paia, a small little place with food a quick walk down the street. Paia is in the middle of the island so equally convenient to get to Lahaina or Hana. Amenities for everything you can need. Full kitchen, clean towels, coolers, etc Great value and comfy living. Thanks Hoku!

Comments: Rina was the best host - prior to arrival I received lots of helpful info on directions to the house, parking, and house info. The room is exactly as pictured, including a nice outdoor space to enjoy the nice tropical weather. perfect location for exploring north shore or if you want to stay in Paia - walkable to main steets, and just far enough away to be able to avoid any traffic when the surfs up. I was able to check in early and was greeted by Rina who is a very warm and nice person and throughout my visit I had privacy but she was near by down the street incase I needed anything. She not only had packaging tape when I needed it, but she's shipping my flip flops which I forgot to pack. Thanks so much for everything, Rina! I'll definitely try to stay with you again on my next trip!

Comments: This was a great place to stay. Wonderful location in the less touristy Paia. Loved Paia and this house for it's vintage and local charm. My boyfriend and I liked that the place was secure. We felt safe as the house and our room could be locked with a built in keypads. We had our own mini fridge and microwave in the lanai. Pictures show exactly what you get. The place was clean and convenient. We highly recommend this listing.

Comments: Rina's place is a bit old house and don't expect 'hotel-like' shiny facilities. Nevertheless, I'd like to give the place a high rate. It's a good location if you travel to Maui. Close to Paia town centre and equipped with all you need. (You can even use a phone freely within the U.S!) Parking a car is not a problem at all. Best of all, the host Rina is kind and attentive.

Comments: Rina was an exceptional host, providing my husband, my mother and I with a space very last-minute as our flights were delayed. She did everything in her power to make our stay easy and comfortable, and her space is gorgeous, well-appointed, and exceptionally located. And the bed was SO comfortable! Thank you, Rina!

Comments: My room was as described. It was quiet and comfortable and I really liked the sink and toilet I had inside my room. The full bathroom and shower just down the hall was big and convenient to use. I loved the full kitchen. Getting up in the morning to make my cup of coffee and cereal was perfect. Its good to be able to keep some of one's morning routines. I loved the enclosed lanai off my room that I could relax in. The tradewinds coming through the screen windows kept the room very comfortable. It was a pleasant few blocks walk down to Paia town center to window shop, pick up groceries or get something to eat. All in all, a great stay! Thanks Rina.

Comments: Perfect location! Near all amenities! Easy access. Clean. Has all the extras you need (towels, etc). Good wifi! Right next to liquor store. Great host! Would go here again. Has three other suites so lots of social opportunity but is set up so you don't need to be social if you don't want to.

Comments: The location of the place is very nice and you can walk into the beautiful town of Paia and even do your shoppings without a car. The own parking spot in front of the house is really helpful because the town is always crowded and there are lots of cars. The room has everything needed. Also the kitchen and the bathroom are well equipped. There's no air-condition but the fans do just fine. The room has an own toilet which is separated by a sliding room. It's a bit weird in the beginning but you can always use the bathroom down the hall. We only met Rina once but she's the kind of person you immediately like. If we ever come back to Hawaii we will definitely stay at her place again!

Comments: Rina was very friendly and helpful. She seemed very organized, providing us with useful information before arrival. The room was better than I expected (Rina also provided beach towels, umbrella, and mats). We used the kitchen, living room, tv, etc. and had a parking space. It was very convenient to have a private toilet and a small porch with refrigerator and microwave to ourselves. The location was close to town, grocery store, and the beach. I would stay there again!

Comments: This is my first AirBNB stay and Rina made my stay! She prepared a very big & warm welcome even before I parked my car. She is so nice a host that my partner and I felt like we were at home. At the "orientation", she introduced everything we should know including very detailed restaurant recommendation for us. The room was very spacious and cozy, close to downtown.(few minutes walk) and it's very quite at night. Even without AC, the fans and the natural winds gave us a cool feeling. Next time in Maui, I'll definitely choose this place again. Thank you, Rina.

Comments: Thank you Rina for a wonderful stay in Paia! She thoughtfully upgraded us when there was a cancellation, granted us an early checkin, and also let us store our luggage upon checkout until we left that evening for the plane. All was greatly appreciated! The house was so clean and cute, all around great vibe there. Very quiet place. We were very comfortable. Beach and town is an easy walk down the street. Will also add Rina was always quick to respond to my many questions. This was my first Airbnb experience, I would definitely stay there again and I definitely recommend this house!

Comments: Good accomodation! Rina is very nice, you can always contact her. Well equipped and clean common kitchen and bathroom, even sun cream, shampoo etc. are provided. The furniture of the room is relatively old, but okay and the room has its own toilet and sink. It can get extremely hot inside, but there is a fan. The room and balcony were almost (but not completely) clean. Great location for day trips to Haleakala and Hana.

Comments: Rina was great at communicating from the start and was always very friendly. She greeted us to show us around and made sure we had everything we needed. The room and house were as described and we enjoyed meeting some of the other guests though we could keep to ourselves as much as possible. We found the location to be amazing for a quick walk into town with the best grocery/health food store just down the street. We also enjoyed the far west end of Baldwin beach for swimming which was a 15min walk. Paia had a lot of traffic downtown but we never found we were stuck in it for long. After exploring the island we felt that Paia was the best place to stay with a great vibe. Thanks again!

Comments: Mike's House was perfect for us. We stayed from Feb 1 - 5 in the Uilani Room. The room was neat and clean and had a nice screened-in porch. There was a really nice spacious kitchen, full bath and living space. We enjoyed it. Parking is easy. And the best part: it is a short walk to town. It is really easy to stroll from Mike's House to all the restaurants in town and to the beach. Rina is the hostess, and she was very welcoming. We arrived early but that was OK for Rina. And Rina was available by phone if we had an issue. It was a good stay and I'd gladly go back if I am able to get back to Maui. I highly recommend Mike's House.

Comments: Rina and Mike made us feel very welcomed! The rooms is located in a seprate house from where they live, but since they live close it is easy to reach them if any help is needed. And Rina was great as well! The room was great, thou a bit cold, use the extra blanket if you as we were, staying there in the winter. But great during the hot Hawaiian days. The neighbourhood, Paia, ended up to be our favorite town in Maui and barely a 10-minute walk away. If we're ever back at Maui we would like to stay here again!

Comments: We had a wonderful time at Mike's House! The apartment is like a shared flat with a maximum of 6 other guests staying with you at the same time. Our room was shown as on the picture and clean. The bed is 'normal size' (no queensize) so make sure you like the one you share it with. All booked rooms are locked vy keypad with your own number. The kitchen is one of the best equipped kitchen I ever had at an airbnb place! So you can do giod cooking here. The living room is also nice and we often had chats here with people also loving in the apartment at the same time. The shared bathroom with the shower is also big, clean and there is free shampoo etc. which is very kind. So the apartment itsself is very nice and Rina (Mike's wife) makes sure that you feel welcome. She is just a very loving, caring person. She responds directly to questions and helps you with everything. Furthermore she comes to the apartment regularly and takes care of it. Thanks again Rina for everything! This was really one of the best airbnb places we stayed in. So we recommend to book it ;)

Comments: Good email contact with the host. The house fits the causal ambience of Paia to a T. Kitchen was nicely stocked with basics like oils, soy sauce etc that would have made cooking easy, but the restaurant scene in Paia was too good to pass up. Easy walking distance to restaurants and the beach. Was quiet the night we were there, though there are other guests staying. Room was simple and comfortable.

Comments: Rina was the perfect host. Prompt and helpful when responding to messages prior to our stay and friendly and welcoming during it; while at the same time leaving you the freedom to enjoy their place. Although you are sharing the common spaces with other guests, each private room is big enough for you to feel like you are not getting under each other's feet and the other guests during our stay were all respectful. A very short walk (a few minutes) into the centre of Paia and a great base for both the Road to Hana and the Haleakana sunrise, this accommodation seemed to represent great value in what can be an expensive region. We would highly recommend Mike's House; the listing was everything it promised and the host helped make our stay a fantastic one.

Comments: I loved staying at Rina's!! So easy and comfortable. Super convenient and as close as could be to all the great spots in sweet Paia town (Mana natural foods!!). It was clean, well-stocked, private. Everything I could have wanted. I loved having the bathroom, mini fridge, and porch all in my own personal area. I could have easily stayed in my private quarters the whole time, but also enjoyed having access to the main kitchen. Rina was so accommodating and I couldn't have asked for a better host. <3

Comments: Rina is a wonderful host, absolutely nothing negative to say about my stay in Mike's House Paia. Keyless entry is brilliant, bed is unbelievably comfortable (and I am not a good sleeper in strange places, I slept very well here). Kitchen seemed well stocked, though I am not much of a chef so i didn't really take advantage of that. Very warm & inviting common area, and free HBO (not that anyone would watch HBO while in Maui). As they say: Location Location Location. And Mike's house rocked the location, 5 minute walk to downtown Paia which has plenty of food & store fronts (and an awesome Health Food store - Mana foods - the only one on the island). Paia is also the base for the ascent to Haleakala Summit, whether you plan to drive up or do as I did and peddle a bike 10,023 feet in 36 miles... it's a must see experience! If there were one thing that I would offer critical critique on, it would be that the keyless entry door mechanism has a indicator light on the inside that strobes rather bright. When you go dark for bedtime, the strobing white light can be a little distracting for light sleepers like myself. But it's nothing a washcloth draped over the door knob can't cure, and really it's so minor of an issue it's easy to look past. I will most definitely visit Maui again, and there is no doubt in my mind where I will stay... Mike's House! Mahalo Rina...

Tip topi Sach gsi......

Also nice with the fridge, there is even a line for wet swimming shorts. And there is a water outlet at the entrance for getting sand off. We do highly recommend this place for Maui.

Comments: We stayed at Rina's place for 10 nights and we enjoyed every minute of it! It's older house but everything was quite roomy, bedroom, porch, closet, toilet room, big shared kitchen and full bathroom. We spent lot of time in the back porch which is completely screened to keep bugs out especially mosquitoes! Rina also provided home grown bananas and papayas which were so tasty, best bananas and papayas we ever had, thanks again Rina!! She also provided more than enough towels including beach towels. Also it was nice to have our own fridge and microwave! Well, we will definitely stay again if we get a chance.

Comments: Rina made us feel at Home, thanks to very good communication it was possible to check in early spontanously. We were also able to leave our baggage there during our Trip to hana. The room was clean, spacious, (except the rooster in the neighboorhood ) quiet and well located with Paia Shops in walk able Distance. The kitchens hygiene has been a little more hostel alike, But it was well equipped. WLAN worked well. Would stay there again!

Comments: "Mike's House" is a simple yet welcoming place in Paia, a short walk to all the cafés, restaurants and shops. It is also a short walk in the other direction to a great yoga studio, for those who are interested, Maui Yoga Shala. Our room was basic, but clean and adequate, with a screened lanai; it had a toilet and sink, and we shared a shower with another room, which worked out just fine. The kitchen is well equipped and we chatted with fellow travelers here, and there was a lot offered such as coffee, tea and condiments. What made our stay stand out from the ordinary was the warm welcome and contact with Rina (the host). Communications were very good with her all along. Warm Mahalo, Rina and family!

Comments: Great location, comfortable and spacious room, very thoughtfully put together to serve the guests to the maximum. Loved our stay and Rina, the host. We stayed for 4 nights and 3 days. Ate in the restaurants, shopped in the gift stores, bought groceries at Mana, the store down the street, spent a couple of evenings at the beach and even went to the post office to post a card. We loved the town. It is a great spot to start off both your "road to Hana" and Haleakala trips. We also enjoyed the Hui No'eau Viual Arts Centre a short drive up the street.

Comments: Clean & conveniently located. We were there for a couple of nights here and although we were out the whole time, it was a cozy room to rest in for the night. The room has an attached patio with a half bath. The main bathroom (shower) is shared. Its a great location as well, with plenty of restaurants in Paia, on the way to road to hana and just ~5mins away from the kahului airport. Rina was responsive throughout. We perhaps received the most detailed check-in instructions & suggestions for nearby places ever :) Overall, highly recommended.

Comments: Rina's place is just perfect for Maui travellers. I stayed at her place with my girlfriend. We had a parking spot, a great room, shared kitchen and shared living room with everything we needed. And we were still close to Kahului considering that we had a car. Sharing the common rooms with other Airbnb guests wasn't a problem at all. On top, Rina is very nice and offered her help whenever it was possible. We had a great stay and definitely recommend staying at her place.

Comments: My husband and I spent a week at Rina's place and we had the most pleasant staying. The moment I booked with Rina she responded by thanking me and sent me a lot of recommendations for restaurants, cafes, activities, sights not only in Paia but on the entire island which was super helpful. Also she clearly wrote the instructions for checking in in case she wasn't there and also, during our staying, she would send messages asking if everything was ok and if we needed anything. When we meet her, she was super nice and friendly and explained everything one more time. You have everything you need in the house and everything was neat and clean. The location is amazing, you can walk to all the restaurants, bars, cafes, supermarket and even to, in my opinion, the prettiest beach on the island - Baldwin Beach. Also, it is where road to Hana starts which was really convenient. Amazing stay, amazing host and we will definitely stay at her place again and recommend it to everyone.

Comments: We had a wonderful time staying at Mikes House and visiting Pa'ia. The location is fantastic. We were able to park our car in our designated spot and walk into town in 5 minutes. It doesn't get any better than that. Our room was lovely. It was big and had a toilet, sink, mini fridge, microwave, and private screened lanai. The communal kitchen was big and full of utensils although we only used it for simple things like cutting fruit. Pa'ia has lots of yummy food options. Rina was really sweet and a great communicator. She even sent a message on check in day to say our room was ready early. Lastly the code entry was really great. It made coming and going so easy especially when my boyfriend and I went out/returned at different times.

Our room was clean and spacious, had it's own balcony, mini fridge and microwave. We packed very light for this trip, but Rina provided towels, shampoos, some beach equipment, and great suggestions on activities to do here. We were taken care of really well, check in and check out was really simple. I would recommend this place !

Comments: Hi Rina, we enjoyed our stay very much. Thoughtful touches like the welcome blackboards on each door, the many fans in addition to the air conditioner, the private refrigerator and screened lanai, easy access to our rooms using the special code, the quick responses to any concerns we had, and most of all your sparkling personality made our stay memorable. Your large airy kitchen and living room and the use of the beach chairs, the shaded parking space, and the short walk into town were convenient and special. The room rates were fair and though you were living nearby we never felt like we were intruding on you or your family. We definitely recommend your airbnb and hope to stay there again. Warm regards, Janet and Paul MacDonald

Comments: Rina is a wonderful host. She is friendly, communicates well, gave me a lot of good information about Maui and helped me with my needs around stationing my bike. I was very pleasantly surprised about the amount of things made available to the guests. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are other useful details such as the availability of an iron, a hairdryer, first aid kit, Maui guide book, quality shampoo and body wash (not just the cheap stuff), mini fridge and microwave in the room, plenty of towels (including beach towels) and an extra blanket for the bed. I loved having a beautiful little green gecko at the annex to the room (and yes, they leave little craps, but I certainly did not care). This is a very nice place for the price - I highly recommend it!

Comments: We enjoyed our stay in Paia at Rina’s place. It was really a comfortable traditional Hawaiian home. It is easy to find and a short stroll into town. We didn’t need our car within Paia which is great because parking there is a challenge. Sharing the common spaces with other guests was really fun. We shared travel stories and learned about where to eat. The great thing about Paia is there are no big resorts and at Rina’s, you’re part of the neighborhood.

Comments: We didn't get to stay at Rina's in the end, as we decided to leave the island due to the hurricane warning (Hurricane Lane). Rina was very understanding and offered a full refund without us even asking, even though this was against her cancellation policy (we cancelled on the day). Of course these were special circumstances, but we thought it was a very kind gesture nonetheless. Leading up to the trip the communication was great, and she gave us lots of local tips and detailed check-in instructions. Wish we could have stayed, we'll come again another time! Thanks Rina

Comments: This place is well located, a short walking distance to Paia village and the beach. The room was big, clean and comfortable. It even has a sink, a toilet and a small refrigerator. Also, there's a private wide decking in the room where you can eat and hang clothes. Rina was there to receive us for check-in, she was very kind and helpful and she even let us drop our luggage before the actual check-in time. The kitchen and bathroom have everything you need. Ps: As a piece of advice, be mindful of not to leave any food in the room as this may attract insects. Even being careful it could be normal to see insects in the room now and then. Maui is pure nature so this is pretty common. A great advantage is that each room has its own codelock. All in all, we would recommend Rina's place to any traveller! Mahalo!

Comments: Rina is a very friendly and cordial hostess, who is immediately at your side in case of problems. This accommodation is perfectly located. In direct walking distance is beside the beach also a small place, which has to offer beside shops and restaurants also the best supermarket of the island (Mana Foods). So if you would rather cook for yourself, this is no problem at all in the perfectly equipped kitchen. We especially enjoyed the balcony to start the day with a breakfast before we left to explore the island.

Comments: I loved staying here! It was better than expected. Very close to the charming downtown and steps away from a great little market with a good edited selection of goods, food, drinks, beer/wine, and even a few prepared hot foods. More of a quality small market rather than a typical convenient store. The place had local Hawaiian character and was clean, comfortable and homey. The whole house/room was thoughtfully set up with everything you could need in the room and attached patio room, and the community kitchen. Having available laundry facilities in the house was nice too. It was really convenient having a code for the main door and room, rather than having to always carry around a key. Read the other reviews that talk more about all these details. I really appreciated having my own half bath in my room, and spent a lot of time in the pleasant porch room where you could feel the cool breezes and be protected from bugs. Small lizards make their way through the floor boards (since it's really an outdoor patio but is screened in like a room), but that actually added made the experience more interesting. Rita was a wonderful host and great with communication and responding quickly. This has been one of my favorite Airbnbs I've stayed at considering the location, price, space, and amenities, and I've stayed in MANY as an avid traveler!

Comments: I would recommend Mike’s house to anyone! Rina was an awesome host. I had gone crazy finding travel size soaps and everything which we didn’t even need because she had everything for us! We were there for 2 weeks and felt like home. She was very accommodating. She had very helpful local tips and we even got our rental car from one of her options so believe her when she gives you tips! It is such a home environment. Don’t be scared to use the common areas they are very relaxing and comfortable. Paia also referred to as “hippie town” is in the middle of almost everything so be prepared to drive for quite so time for either side of the island, however, there are some great places walking distance! Overall it was a great experience and we will hopefully stay there next.

The communication with her was super. She responded immediately to all our questions. We felt like home from the beginning. The kitchen equipment is very good, so that you can prepare nice dishes. Everything is there what you need and all is very tidy and clean. Our room was very cozy and we had a fridge and a microwave. The house was a short walk - about 3min - to Paia downtown and about 10min to the beach, which we enjoyed very often.
