  Comments: I came to Hawai'i to get away from my busy life. This was hands down THE BEST place I could have stayed!!! The host Stephen was available and very helpful! He know this island very well and even sent me off on some wonderful day trips. He handed me a book and explained how to get places and I always found my destinations easily! The home feels warm and inviting and quiet. He has a great set of old records and it was so nice to listen to some of them while I fixed food or just sat journalling. I was able to buy all the food I needed for the week at Costco (they have the best (Website hidden by Airbnb) BRING A COSTCO CARD!) I feel like Stephen is a good friend now and I plan to come back regularly for visits. The bed was comfortable. Shampoo and soap were provided. You'll feel comfortable spending time in the rest of the house not just your room. Stephen is a very happy and laid back host. Very generous and knowledgeable! He even washed some of my dishes for me. This place will make you fall in love with the Big Island!!! Thanks Stephen! You made my trip amazing!!!

  Comments: My wife and me were for three nigths at Steve´s house, and it was the best Airbnb experience we have ever had. The house is very pleasant and hospitable, even more than it looks in the pictures. Our bedroom was spacious and clean, and we had a private bathroom. The best place in the house is the wide covered deck, perfect for enjoying the hawaiian sunset. Furthermore, Steve is a really charming guy. He spent a long time telling us the best places for visiting in Big Island, and he did everything to make us feel at home. If we ever go back to Hawaii, we´ll undoubtelly stay in Steve´s house.

  Comments: I'm a seasoned traveler and I loved shearing Steve's lovely house for about a week, great view, convenient location and clean, you will share everything beside your bedroom and private bath with Steve , Cindy and other guests also some times massage are performed for some other clients, Steve is one of a kind and goes out of his way to please you, pictures don't justify the beauty of his house .

Everything was clean and I had no problems what so ever.

  Comments: Stephen has a really beautiful house with great woodwork and some fab pieces of unusual, hand-made furniture. And good art, there's some good art too. The kitchen is very nice and you can use it, so you don't have to go out for coffee in the morning. The room I stayed in was clean, private, and comfortable and it has an en suite bathroom. Oh, one thing: there's no full length mirror so if you're going somewhere, you won't know what you look like, so I'd advise checking your outfit carefully before you leave on your trip. Or I guess you could just not stress about it, that would be an option too. There's a private entrance to the room so if you come in late (or whatever) you don't have to go through the house, and there's dedicated parking right next to the room's door, so you don't have to worry about whether you're parked in someone's space. You're not. Except that I accidentally ran over a tool box that was sitting in the driveway one day, since I'm short and couldn't see over the Jeep's dash, so that's something to be aware of. I saw some gorgeous wild turkeys in the area and a lot of very cute wild chickens. I tried feeding the chickens but they were supremely disinterested in me and my stupid food, so don't bother wasting your bread on them, they think you're an asshole. Or maybe it was just me. Let's see, what else... Stephen and his friend Kate were super helpful, providing me with driving information and hints about cool places to go, and without Stephen's advice I probably would have wasted time trying to go places (such as forest refuges) that are accessible only on certain, very limited days. So if anyone has read this far and they're thinking of visiting a forest refuge during their stay, I'd advise you to check the schedule right now, before you leave, so you can plan accordingly. So this has become a little verbose, but in closing let me just add that I had a very nice stay at Stephen's and I felt like I got a very good deal for the price. I

  Comments: Being at Steve's house upgrade our Hawaii trip from 8 to 10000. His home is amazing: comfy, quiet, gorgeous, chill... PERFECT! Great vibes and energy! So when the place is perfect, the host is perfect. Steve gave us a lot of local tips of everything: places for have lunch or dinner, markets, hiking trails, beaches, interesting places to go....we discovered the real soul of the island because of him. I would stay in his place every single time I'd back to Big Island. Recommended 200%

  Comments: With no time to research I booked in under a minute the day of. And was I lucky! First off Kate got right back to me to confirm. There we're hurdles to overcome and they eased me into my room where I slept off my jet lag. Such a convenient arrangement with the driveway next to the room's private entrance. Like so many other reviewers I too had a great experience of generosity and good conversation; swapping stories, cracking jokes. I felt at ease almost immediately; welcomed and included. Stephen was also very helpful with travel tips as were his housemates. I will be going back most definitely. Though the property is about 15 minutes high above town it does get you away from all the touristy stuff with the added bonus of a deck with sweeping views. Tip: There is a way up from the airport you can take that bypasses the constant traffic on the highway.

This was our first air b n b stay and it was absolutely great! We highly recommend Casa Relaxo as a home away from home when you're visiting the Big Island. The accommodations are clean and nice and Stephen's home is comfortable and spacious with a fabulous view off the upstairs lanai. Whether you're an mmj patient or not, this is absolutely the perfect place to stay when you're on the Big Island! Mahalo Stephen!!!!

  Comments: Stephen & Katy's place is a true gem and is exactly as described in the listing. A really beautiful house in a truly beautiful setting in the mountains overlooking the Pacific. I was greeted by both Stephen and Katy along with the cat who is very affectionate Stephen gave some great local tips on sightseeing and was a great host to my nephew who was staying there. Highly recommended!!! Will absolutely book again when visiting the Big Island.

  Comments: This was a great place to stay! We felt a part of the family immediately and enjoyed every interaction we had with Steve and his friends. The room was spacious and had great closet space. The bed was very comfortable. The sheets and towels were deluxe and so were the pillows. The location of the house was convenient to nearly anything in the Kona area. We felt totally at home here. Do not hesitate to book here!

  Comments: Steve's place was great! We stayed there right when we got into town for two nights, and had easy access in and out. Steve is super laidback and always had friends around, too, so it would have been easy to socialize if we had wanted to. Lots of free guidebooks to page through and a comfy bed and room. Steve's house is very nice, but this isn't a fancy place to stay, which was perfect for us: outside of the more touristy areas and very affordable for Kona. Would totally stay there again!

  Comments: Steve and Kate were great hosts. Right away we got great friendly vibes from them and their roommates staying there too. The room is a great size and the bed is comfortable. Leaving the windows open listening to the sounds of the night was such a great way to sleep and be awoken each morning. The house is beautifully made, wood everywhere, they have 100s of records for listening and a comfortable sectional that face toward a beautiful ocean view. They have a massive lanai that is great for having all your meals or just your morning coffee. Steve made great recommendations of places to go and things to do from the Kona area. He supplied us with a Hawaii revealed travel book and set us up for a whole day of activities. Kua Bay is a really nice beach area close by. It's a great starting point to make the drive to Mauna Kea observatory, although the road to the summit was closed for our stay due to snow/ice, we enjoyed the sunset from a peak near the visitor centre. Would love to go back and visit Steve and Kate again.

  Comments: We stayed at the casa de relaxo for two nights, and it more than lived up to its name. Steven was available to answer our questions, but generally kept to himself. He loaned us his snorkel gear and a boogie board, and gave us some good tips on local beaches and restaurants. We had a great stay!

  Comments: Steve was the best. Super helpful and nice even though we showed up hours late in the pouring rain he stayed up and made us hot tea. Great location super close to the airport and the beaches, close enough we had time to go to kuo beqch one past time before our flights. Amazing view, sitting out at sunset eating dinner was surreal! And he gave us great tips of where to go and what to do, only bad part was we didnt have enough time to do everything.

  Comments: Steve真的是个非常好非常好的房东,真的不知道怎么用言语来形容,因为之前不愉快的经历,对BNB上租房子还是心有余悸,加上天数不短｡从到Steven家开始,他就非常热情的接待了我们,告诉我们每一样东西的摆放位置,告诉我们如何去当地的景点,甚至陪我们去Costco采购｡给我们的房间买了底垫,准备了垃圾桶,还有很多很多,他真的是非常热心的好人,给我的度假生活带来了很多的便利,也真的让我享受到了家的感觉!我非常感谢他,是他让我在异国他乡的日子过得很轻松,我一定会把这个房子推荐给别人~祝Steven天天开心!
