The cabin itself is located behind property and was really cosy and very clean. It is obvious they put in a lot of effort to build such a beautiful cabin. Travelling around was easy as there are lots of cafes/stores in the area and a train station within walking distance. Cannot wait to stay here again!

  Comments: This was the perfect place to stay for us. It was close to public transport for business purposes and close to shops, restaurants, and parks for our little one. Steven and his family were extremely welcoming and helpful. The cabin was beautiful. Clean and light. The air con was a bonus as it was quite warm in Sydney at the time of our stay. They provided a porta cot for our baby which was an added bonus. It was very quiet and peaceful. Steven and his family kept to themselves, but were lovely to talk to on the odd occasion we bumped into them on the way out the door. We would highly recommend this place to stay.   Comments: I couldn't recommend staying at this cabin enough. It was beautiful and clean. It's close to public transport and places to eat, but most importantly, the hosts, Steven and Peta were friendly and helpful. Communication prior to arriving was clear and accurate. They ensured our stay was comfortable, but also went out of their way with little extras things such as turning the aircon on before we arrived so our cabin was cool when Sydney was in the midst of a heat wave. Great hosts, and a great place.

  Comments: If I could rate this property six stars I would! Steven is obviously very proud of his property - the cabin is perfectly presented, immaculate, modern, practical and quiet. Restaurants, cafes and public transport are very close by. Hoping to make this my regular stay in Sydney.

  Comments: This is a great private space. The room is all you need for a short time away. The bathroom is lovely with a great rain shower head. There is wardrobe and small fridge and microwave. Is place is short walk to the train station which is only a few stops away from central or the bay. There are also lots of pubs and cafes in walking distance. Pack ear plugs if you are a light sleeper because there are planes in this area and maybe a eye mask of you don't want wake us to the sun. Totally I will stay again they next time I am in Sydney.

  Comments: Me and my mum stayed in the cabin for a few days and we absolutely loved it. It's close to the train station and the train only takes ten minutes to the city center. The cabin was very clean and beautiful. Steven and Peta were nice and helpful hosts with two lovely children. Thank you Steven, Peta, Max and Zara, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this cabin to everyone who visits Sydney for a few days and wants to stay close to the center.   Comments: Great location, close to the station. Very cosy, clean and has everything you need. We loved our stay and will be back. Netflix's and wifi was a bonus, so was the shampoo/conditioner and soap. So many awesome cafes for breaky and also dinner places. We loved the Indian and the famous Portuguese chicken. The room was very bright in the morning, and the planes were loud but that didn't bother us at all. Highly recommend this gorgeous cabin.

  Comments: Steven has made a great little cabin with a lot of care and extra expense to give it valuable finishing touches. It is great value and Steven was kind, helpful and easy to deal with. For those unfamiliar with the area it might help to know the aircraft noise is enough to wake you up (from 6am) and takes some getting used to, the proximity to family and neighbour activities also means quietude may be elusive. It's a medium density neighborhood where backyard and rear-of-house activities spill into several properties. There is also no possibility of excluding the morning light with the un-blinded high window. Overall, this listing has a lot to offer, especially if you're not planning a sleep-in.

Obschon der von Steven erwähnte Fluglärm gewöhnungsbedürftig war, haben wir uns gut erholt. Von Petersham aus konnten wir Sydney wunderbar erkunden. Peta und Steven waren tolle Gastgeber und waren jederzeit für uns erreichbar. Und das, obwohl sie beruflich und mit zwei kleinen Kindern gerade viel zu tun haben. Wir haben uns willkommen gefühlt und hatten dennoch ein angenehmes Maß an Privatsphäre. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

  Comments: My little boy(14mths) and I had a long stay in Steven's cabin, for almost three weeks while my partner was in hospital recovering from surgery. We found Steven and Peta to be very kind and generous hosts during this stressful period, of which we will always be very grateful. The lawn and garden in front of the cabin are perfect for little kids, and there were playgrounds within walking distance. Numerous good and affordable restaurants and cafes very close by(5 mins walk/pram ride) and I was always able to find street parking. Highly recommend and we'll be back when next in Sydney.

Steven is extremely welcoming and friendly, and if you're not familiar with the area, he'll soon fill your head with all sorts of inside tips and places to eat. Don't miss out on this Petersham paradise. What I loved: *The freedom to come and go as I pleased with ease via the side gate. *The bed was super comfortable. The villa is an ideal space for writers, professionals or anyone looking to get away on their own. Works for couples too. *The proximity to some of my old-school favourites, including Daisy's Milkbar.

  Comments: A great little place in a great location. Didn’t see the hosts much as was out exploring all day, but they were most helpful on check in and through email. The welcome from the cats was an added bonus. I would say that if the plane noise would really be an issue for you, this isn’t ideal, but thanks to the accurate description we went into this well aware of it and it wasn’t bothersome. Overall, a great stay in a lovely cabin in a very convenient location.

  Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Steven's place. It was clean, airy and sunny with beautiful decor and a very comfortable bed. Our hosts were delightful. Two things to note, parking can be a bit tricky (though we succeeded each time) and the street is under the flight path so you might have a 6.00 am wakeup call that makes you want to duck. We are used to Sydney flight traffic control so we will be going back for another stay.

Short walk to Petersham station, the Oxford tavern, Nowa cafe which is excellent. My only complaint would be the triangular window lets in quite a lot of light in the morning and it woke me up! Unless bothered by some transient airplanes flying over Petersham, which you can get used easily, then the place is also very quiet.

  Comments: We really enjoyed staying in Steven and Peta's back garden cabin. Beautifully clean, light and had all the essentials. We came with our two young children, and our hosts gave us various options (we settled on a queen sized mattress on the floor for both of them). It was perfectly adequate for four, and for one or two people it would be positively spacious. Petersham is just a short metro ride from the centre of Sydney, and the cabin is just round the corner from a lovely parade of shops and restaurants, so you will never be stuck for something to eat or drink.

  Comments: Steven & Peta have a very comfortable, private, secure and modern unit at the back of their property. We have enjoyed many visits over the past years. They are friendly hosts who respond to any requests immediately. The location is perfect - walking distance to Petersham train station, bus stops and the town centre including restaurants and shops. It is quiet, has a TV, reverse cycle aircon, a lounge, iron and a kitchenette - everything you need for a comfortable stay. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend their place.
