Comments: Such an excellent and unique space from which to base camp the North Shore. Accurate description on Abnb. The cottage has just what a solo traveler or couple could need. Erik was great at communication even though he was off island - a rare occurrence for him. Highly recommend...

Comments: Beautiful, safe, private setting. Waking up to the sound of waves and hundreds of birds. GREAT place for the price, highly recommend for anyone who wants a real island feel. Owners are amazing and we couldn't have been happier with it.

Comments: Erik was a very friendly host. We felt welcome. He provided us with fresh fruit & was helpful suggesting restaurants/ spots to see. Bungalow was as described. The hot plate was a nice addition so that we were able to cook. Thanks Erik. Would recommend!

Comments: Erik was super flexible with us checking in late. The digs where exactly as advertised and waking up to the birds singing was fantastic.
-
Reviewer: Kirsten
Comments: Absolutely loved staying here, will definitely be back.

Reviewer: Jesse
Comments: This spot is as listed, a little farm bungalow. You will have everything that you need, shower, sink, toilet, fridge and cooking utensils. The bungalow itself is literally on the farm, it is isolated and you will never be bothered. For the price, you won't find much better in the area. I would say it's akin to camping, so if you don't like that lifestyle, then check somewhere else out. I would say that it is a solid 4.5 stars, for what it is.

Comments: Make sure you read the ad. If you do, and you are okay with everything you're going to do fine. The space was as described. We had slightly sketchy hot water. We'd have to fiddle with the knobs to get hot water for a minute or so, then fiddle with the knobs again. This was the only negative part about our stay. The location was quiet from other people and cars. It was accurately described. We had water, electric, a mini fridge, and a cooking plate if we needed it. There was just enough space for what we needed. We did not use the wifi so unsure how it was. We also arrived later and during a rain storm so it was hard to see where we were going and Erik came right away to get us with no hassle. Do not leave any food outside of the fridge though or you will get ants! We realized that the first day and once we made sure to not leave anything out it was no issue at all. No wrappers, candy, or food could be left out. This was a bargain for what we were looking for. If you do not require all of the usual comforts of a hotel room, definitely give these guys a shot. We did not get to spend any time talking to Erik as we were gone and busy. What we learned during our tour was he was a friendly really mellow guy =) We would definitely stay here again and will probably do so in the future.

Comments: The pretty little bungalow is perfect, it is well built with all amenities in a rural and safe environment. This is perfect for those who like to have privacy. It is well located for visiting the North Shore. In addition, it is close to a beautiful beach perfect for swimming and for watching turtles.

Comments: This place gave me many amazing experiences for me relax, comfortable and calm.

Comments: My girlfriend and I stayed at Erik's farm for two nights. If you want to see tons of stars, be close to a beach that extends as far as you can see, and wake up to the sounds of birds, and get away from noise of the city, this is the place. Erik was super cool - flexible about check-in, gave us some delicious fruit from the farm, and brought us to his family's Waialua Bakery. You absolutely have to go to the bakery.
-
Reviewer: Tiffany
Comments: Great place to stay, close to everything the North Shore has to offer! The bungalow is exactly as listed and Eric was super responsive. We would definitely stay there again!
-
Reviewer: Natalia
Comments: Enjoyed our stay.
-
Reviewer: Alyssa
Comments: The bungalow ended up being a great value for the price we paid. Easy drive to anything we wanted to do on the North Shore. Erik also went a step above to provide a second bed option for our trip. The bungalow was a little bit smaller than expected, so depending on your comfort level it may or may not be the best choice for you. We kind of considered it a little step above camping, so something to consider when booking. If you want a great financial option though, with comfy bed and easy distance to anything you ant to do.... it is a great choice!

Comments: A wonderful location nestled on a quiet farm. Erik was east to communicate with and his property was a short walk from the beach. Highly recommended for those looking for an inexpensive stay up on the north shore.

Comments: My boyfriend and I had one regret: we wish we stayed here for more than just a couple nights! The Farm Fresh Bungalow couldn't have been more perfect for two people. It was quiet and comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay on the North Shore. You can walk to the beach, and restaurants and shops are just a 10-minute drive away. The star gazing was incredible at night, and we slept to the sound of the nearby ocean waves. Honestly, we were rarely there as we spent the majority of our day exploring. The roosters were a little noisy in the early morning, and the Wi-fi connection was extremely weak, but we didn't mind "unplugging" for a bit. We would absolutely recommend this place to family and friends who are looking for a real North Shore experience. Thank you, Erik!

Comments: We stayed 2 nights in the farm fresh bungalow! It was bigger than the we expected- quite quaint and adorable! It's very private and everything we needed for our time there. The roosters will have you up early- but it's all about the experience- and more time to enjoy the beautiful area!

Comments: My friend & I were looking for an affordable, low maintenance, and low-tech place on the North Shore & Erik's farm bungalow was perfect. It was a short walk to the beach, the surroundings were peaceful & serene. Erik was super accomodating & welcoming. He even took us out for a surf lesson.
-
Reviewer: Kristen
Comments: What a cute little place! A small, gated bungalow that is perfect for 1 or 2 nature lovers and only a 15 minute walk to the world's most perfect beach. Erik was a great host and the property was clean and enjoyable!
-
Reviewer: Franz
Comments: Great place to stay. North shore is amazing
-
Reviewer: Luise
Comments: Everything was as described, just a little better. You're in a small bungalow within nature, so do not expect anything fancy. But we knew what we were up to and we really enjoyed it. Morning swims at the beach after a 7min walk, a fresh up in the outdoor shower and breakfast in the sun. Lovely! Near Hale'iwa, which is a lovely town and you could tour the island perfectly from that location. We would recommend it for a rustic and charming stay at the beautiful North Shore of O'ahu.

Comments: I stayed here with my boyfriend for 2 nights before we went camping for the rest of our trip. We absolutely loved it, such a cute clean little place and Erik is extremely helpful and ready to help if you need him for anything. There's a hot plate in the bungalow too with a pot which was unexpected so we got to eat real food for a few days which was really nice. Ceiling fan was also a bonus keeping us a perfect temperature at night. All in all this place was more than we expected and would 150% stay here again. Love love love <3

Comments: Alright and private. Don't plan on staying there during sun hours as too hot when the sun hits the cabin. Wifi not available unless you want over to walk over to the house near the road.
-
Reviewer: Danielle
Comments: It's a cute and quaint place that had everything we needed! Beautiful views, great atmosphere and vibes from the host. Moderate walking distance to a beach and short drive to shops. We hope to come back to the bungalow soon!

Comments: My stay at Erik's place was great! Perfect for a solo getaway trip to Oahu.

Reviewer: Zachary
Comments: The Farm Fresh Bungalow is perfect if you want to experience a Hawaiian "local" area. It is secluded from the thousands of tourists if Waikiki, yet close to so many incredible areas for surfing, hiking, snorkeling, and local food. The bungalow is small, but enough if you plan on being out all day like we were. Erik is extremely helpful, and is willing to give many recommendations, and tips for maximizing your trip, that said, he is not overbearing or too involved. Absolutely LOVED our stay, and would return again in a heartbeat. STAY HERE.

Comments: The bungalow itself was fantastic. Small for two people, but it and had everything you needed for a secluded getaway on north shore. The outside shower was perfect for those late night chills with a beer looking out at the stars and moon. Felt like you where the only people on the property. Didn't get to meet the host's, but going from what everyone else has said, they are amazing. Thankyou!

Comments: The cabin is basic and simple but yet functional, complete and built with taste. Located In a magnificent orchard of avocados, mangoes, papayas, citrus and more. Beach is at less than 10 min walking. A bit hot at day but we were to the beach at that time. Great sky at night!

Comments: The Farm Fresh Bungalow was a great place to stay for a visit to the north shore. The beach nearby was awesome - we saw some turtles in the surf and basically had the whole beach to ourselves. Definitely check out the bakery that the produce from the farm goes to. Excellent location to explore the North Shore!

Reviewer: Kristin
Comments: We stayed at the bungalow for 6 days and enjoyed it very much being so close to the nature. It is the perfect choice if you want to slow down in your vacation and are not afraid of some bugs around and sometimes in the bungalow - which was no problem at all for us since this is also a part of nature ;) the private outdoor shower was helping too to get the laid back vibe of Hawaii. We loved to have breakfast/dinner at sunrise and sunset at the outdoor table next to the avocado trees.

Comments: I loved this little farm hut, it has such a great vibe to it. It was very comfortable and had everything you'd need in it. Erik was very welcoming and happy to help with any questions and showing me around. The outdoor shower was fabulous; I loved looking up at the stars, so much better than a conventional shower. The wifi wasn't working very well but Erik said this will be fixed in the next few days so probably won't be an issue going forward. Overall I'm very glad I chose to stay here - I highly recommend it!

Wouldn't recommend staying here without a car as it is a pain to get around, but if you have a car it is super close to shops, beaches and cafes. Erik is a great host - highly recommend.

Haleiwa is a lovely town to visit and once you're there, a visit to Waialua Bakery and Juice Bar is a must. Best Smoothies ever!

Comments: This place is in an amazing location where all the beaches on the north shore are a short distance away. Things you will want to consider when staying here is to bring warm clothes as the blankets are very thin and it gets cold at night, bring your own toilet paper as there was one roll left for us but all in all it is a great little space with everything you need.
-
Reviewer: Janae

Comments: Great location and a fun little place! If you’re looking for a resort stay on O’ahu — it’s not for you. We had many visiting creatures during our stay but it was a nice change to the craziness of the island. Just a walk away from a secluded stretch of North Shore beach and the fun surfer town of Haleiwa.

Comments: An alternative, affordable abode that gets you back in touch with circadian rhythms! Loved waking up at sunrise with the birds and escaping the packed beaches of Waikiki for the surrounding farms/orchards and more rugged North Shore beaches nearby. Erik’s place had everything we needed and was a close drive to some great coffee shops and restaurants. Checking in/out was also a breeze.

Comments: We loved our stay! The farm was so peaceful. Erik gave us a tour of the farm and we sampled some fruit. We went to bed early because the roosters are up by 6am. We brought earplugs and they worked! The beach was the most beautiful I have ever seen! My daughter was fascinated with the outdoor shower. It was awesome! This AirBnb was perfect for our budget. Would stay here again.

Comments: Space: As described. Rustic and simple. You will love it, if you are a nature lover. Just enough bed/living space for 2 people. Western toilet inside the room (faces the bed) and a small kitchen area for fixing a quick meal (not for exhaustive cooking). Full size refrigerator to stock up on food (but no microwave, and the portable stove seemed really unused and unkempt). The outdoor shower was great, if you are alright with few bugs on the floor. Location: Very close (10-20 mins by car) to almost all things in North Shore (Laniakea & Sunset beach, Kaena Point Trail, SkyDiving and Waimea Valley). The nearby town of Haleiwa has plenty of local food options. The place is on the farm and so is surrounded by avocado/citrus trees and an avid bird watcher will just love it. Host: Never got to meet him as he was out travelling to mainland US. However was very accessible by phone if/when needed.

Comments: This was the perfect place to relax on the already relaxing north shore. The space was exactly as Erik advertised, minimalist and natural, but was homely and comfortable. Only a ten minute walk to a cosy beach too! Erik is very friendly and responsive and willing to help with anything you needed. Visited his family's bakery in Haleiwa and had the best smoothie - highly recommend! Our only negative was that the windows do not have curtains, which meant we were up early most days, but all in all we were very happy with our stay.
-
Reviewer: Stephanie
Comments: Great location! Ask for a tour of the farm - Erik guided us and explained a lot about the different plants and trees. He is a great host. It's tiny but it has everything you need - except curtains. The bed is confortable. You have to be ready to share the space with the little geckos...

Comments: The farm was great! The open windows and fan were enough to keep us cool at night, and we woke up to birds chirping. The roosters are not very loud at all, so we did not find earplugs necessary. We loved the outdoor shower, too! The farm was also very close to some fun beaches, the Yoga Co Op, Cafe Haleiwa, and Beet Box Cafe. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to stay away from tourists and explore the North Shore better!

Comments: Small private place perfect for a couple that enjoys the outdoors. Everyday we awoke to birds chirping and beautiful views of mountains. Refrigerator, hot plate for cooking, a pot and small frying pan with some utensils for cooking and eating, sink, a decently comfy bed with clean linens, small coffee pot, outdoor shower which was super refreshing with great pressure and plenty of hot water, small table inside plus outside patio set and a picnic table for eating and relaxing. No AC but we found that the fan and open windows were plenty to keep cool during the nights ( stayed end of Sept) Beach access is not far from the farm nor are great hiking trails and town for shopping and eating. Erik gave us a farm tour along with some fresh fruits and avocado which were amazing. Make sure to stop into their bakery for wonderful sandwiches, smoothies and cookies also that they use their farm produce to make. If you like peacefulness and don't require high end amenities I highly recommend Erik's farm fresh bungalow. We would defiantly return for a stay!!!!
