Comments: I enjoyed this place. The backyard and beautiful bathroom are the highlights as well as the proximity to prospect park. This is a garden apartment, so it can get a bit dark at times, but the bedroom gets great light. The kitchen has great appliances, and is furnished with basic cooking utensils. I stayed here for a month and was pretty comfortable. Martha and her family were very helpful in making sure I had what I needed for a comfortable stay.

Comments: Martha's apartment is everything we could ask for. We will have spent almost three weeks there, as she was graciously able to extend our stay another week while our own place was undergoing construction. The place was recently and stylishly renovated. It is quite large -- larger than most Brooklyn two-bedrooms, and has everything one might need for a short or long stay. The appliances are of high quality, which is good for those like us who cook. Indeed, everything in the apartment is well chosen -- Martha had a brand new large screen television installed the day we arrived. She and Curtis could not be nicer or more accommodating. We have felt very much at home, in our own neighborhood but only three blocks away. As noted elsewhere, the bathroom and the backyard are quite special, but so is the rest.

Comments: We can only repeat what we said in the previous review, as this stay was an extension of the earlier one. We stayed during construction to our own place, and are grateful to have been able to stay at such a great apartment close to our own. Martha could not be a better or more accommodating host. Highly recommended.

Comments: Often times people throw around the term "home away from home" when describing a "nice" place to stay. But our stay at Martha's place was more than nice. It truly was — and felt — like our home. We renovated our apartment nearby and needed a place to stay with our dog and 3 year old son. We are also a month away from giving birth to our second child, so comfort, safety, cleanliness, and familiarity were the most important to us. Martha and her family made us feel welcome, as if we had been their neighbors for years, and anything we needed (which was very little) was attended to almost instantly. It was exactly the experience we needed to help us through that very stressful time, and though we are grateful to almost be back to our house, I will honestly say we will miss staying here. And we hope to run into Martha's family in the neighborhood while we are strolling about. No doubt if I ever need a place to stay in Park Slope again, I will check this and rebook without hesitation. In fact I may do it once in a while just to use the luxurious and refreshing shower, which was amazing! Thank you Martha and family!

Comments: Great app Great hosts. We had wonderful time here

  • Reviewer: Greg

Comments: Martha's spacious apartment was perfect for our week in NYC. We enjoyed exploring the quieter Park Slope neighborhood while being a short subway ride from Manhattan. Communication with Martha was easy and responsive, too.

  • Reviewer: Jerry

Comments: Great location for accessing transit for touring New York city. We felt very safe and comfortable in the neighborhood. The apartment was nicely furnished and larger than we expected.

Comments: Martha's contemporary garden apartment in Park Slope is the perfect home away from home while visiting New York City. The appliances are stainless steel and bathroom looked like it had recently been renovated. She also had a large, flat screen tv, which many places in Park Slope did not offer. There was no way that I was going to stay in a place without a tv! But the icing on the cake was the washer and dryer that Martha also made available to guests. Really over the top, which I so appreciated! Martha's apartment has all of the comforts of home. Park Slope is a safe neighborhood which offers lots of restaurants and shops for visitors, in addition to beautiful Prospect Park, where people of all ages can enjoy being outdoors. And it was close to the subway, which was so helpful as well. Martha's apartment is the perfect place to stay in New York City.

Comments: My husband and I stayed at Martha's beautiful apartment with our 9-month-old son, and our time there couldn't have been more comfortable. Martha was very welcoming, easy to get in touch with, and she responded to our questions right away. The apartment was impeccably clean and was very quiet. The back patio was the highlight for us, and we spent lots of time out there. There were many restaurants, coffee shops, markets, and home/clothing/gift shops nearby, as was Prospect Park. If we're ever back in Park Slope, we would love to stay here again!

  • Reviewer: Debbie

Comments: Fantastic place -- very comfortable and even better than the pictures. We stayed while our daughter and family unpacked from a move to Brooklyn and babysat our 9 mo granddaughter many days. Very close to Prospect Park. Martha the host was terrific.

Comments: Martha's home was sparkling clean and obviously fairly recently renovated. Highlights were the shower and the kitchen. The shower was a dream, the washing facilities top-notch and the kitchen well-stocked with utensils and gear. Special shout-out to the best salad spinner ever - I'm going to get one as soon as I get home! Although we didn't spend much time there, the outdoor space is lovely and the front and back plantings were well thought-out. One note - there is no microwave, so go old-school with your cooking and don't stock up on microwave popcorn!

Comments: Martha's place is amazing!! The space is bigger and nicer than I expected it to be with a beautifully updated kitchen & bathroom (including an AMAZING shower) and an adorable private garden patio. The neighborhood was perfect for our family - tons of great restaurants and shops, beautiful brownstones, and only a five minute walk to Prospect Park. Martha and her family were so sweet and accommodating and responded immediately any time we had a question. I highly recommend Martha's place to anyone looking for a home away from home in New York City.

Comments: Martha's place is a gem in Brooklyn. What the photos make less obvious is that the place is very well appointed and equipped to be a real home, not just a vacation rental. That's what made the difference for our stay, plus Martha's great communication.

  • Reviewer: Fien

Comments: We had an amazing time here. The appartment looks exactly like in the pictures: modern, spacious and clean. It is a cosy and friendly neighbourhood, with shops, coffee bars and restaurants at walking distance. Metro lines within 20min walk.

Comments: Martha was a wonderful host, and we loved our stay in her place. We liked the excellent location, the pleasure of the backyard patio in the early evening, the splendidly silent dishwasher, the nifty shower in a cool bathroom, and the host's unobtrusive but effective care. Highly recommended, and we would enjoy coming back.

Comments: I hesitate to admit this since I want Martha's place to always be available for my husband and I but in my opinion you won't find a better place to stay in Park Slope. The location is perfect set between beautiful Prospect Park and 7th Avenue. The apartment was immaculate with a comfy bed, amazing shower and a charming outdoor area. It's everything you would need and want for your visit to Park Slope.

  • Reviewer: Lauren

Comments: Martha's place was a perfect home away from home. It was clean and well maintained, and the space was nicely decorated, didn't feel cluttered, and had all the amenities one could want.

  • Reviewer: Don

Comments: We loved our stay at Martha's place. The listing photos don't do it justice. It was much more than advertised. We liked the excellent location, the elbow room, the amazing shower, the comfortable beds, the quiet washer and dryer. The list for this renovated apartment could go on. We visited in November but wish it had been warmer to enjoy the enclosed backyard patio. We surprised our son - a new Brooklyn resident in a tiny apartment - by cooking Thanksgiving dinner at Martha's place. The full-size, well-appointed kitchen had everything needed to make it happen, and the apartment was big enough for our family and his friends. I highly recommend her place and plan to return soon.

Comments: Wonderful stay! Beautiful place, with all the amenities you could need. My dog loved it, too. Thank you for everything, Martha!

  • Reviewer: Tanah

Comments: We stayed in this apartment for an extended period while our home was being renovated and only wished that we had booked sooner so that we could have stayed longer! The location is perfect; near Prospect Park, the subways, and plenty of grocery and restaurant options. There is wonderful light in the space, a well-designed and stocked kitchen, easy washer/dryer set up, and spacious bathroom. We didn't get to enjoy the backyard during our stay but it was lovely to look at and have as a view upon waking up. Martha was very attentive to any questions that we had. We found that the few times we were driving in the area, it was easy to find parking; not an insignificant thing in Park Slope! We would absolutely stay here again and will be recommending the space to all visiting friends and family members.

Comments: Great place one of the best air bnb's I've seen in NYC . Huge for NYC standards and spotless.

  • Reviewer: Roni

Comments: This was our second stay with Martha and will return for 2 weeks later this summer. The apartment is everything one would want or need for a perfect Park Slope stay.

  • Reviewer: Wendela

Comments: Martha's apartment was truly a home away from home and a place where we could wind down after busy days sightseeing in Manhattan and Brooklyn. The apartment is bigger than it looks on the photos. It has a kitchen with all amenities, a great walk-in shower, a double bed with very comfortable matras and airco in every room which helped to cool us down when temperatures and humidity outside were very high. The satelite tv with Netflix was also a big bonus and we were able to find a channel that showed the worldcup soccer matches. Check-in was very easy and when we had a small problem with the door the first evening, Cole replied promptly on our phone call and Martha followed up. The apartment is well located in Park Slope, about 10 min walk from 7. Avenue and Grand Army plaza subway lines which we used extensively. It is also close to restaurants, banks, coffee places and a supermarket on 7. Avenue. If our travels will bring us back to Brooklyn we would definitely hope to be able stay here again.

Comments: Martha's place was lovely, clean and spacious! My husband and I stayed with our 2 year old son and we had plenty of space and felt very comfortable there. The location was amazing -- close to lots of great spots in Park Slope and a short walk to two different subway stations. We felt right at home and would not hesitate to return the next time we are in NYC. Highly recommend!

Comments: This is a 5 star apartment in a 5 star neighborhood. Actually I wasn’t surprised with the apartment. The pictures Martha provides and the other reviews told me that it would be lovely. I just really had no idea what to expect from Park Slope. Well, clearly there is a reason why it is one of the most popular neighborhoods in New York. It’s charming, safe, friendly, and well served by local shops and restaurants. It’s also so well connected to Manhattan. And prospect park is only a block away!! Wow! Our stay at Martha’s was an impeccable Airbnb experience.

Comments: This was our third stay and will be returning again in November. Need I say more?

  • Reviewer: Brian

Comments: We had an amazing time staying at Martha's place these last 2 weeks. Location right off Prospect Park, close to the Q, B, 2, 3, F and G lines for easy access to all you need in the city. Martha quickly responded to all inquiries before and during our stay. We hope to be able to come back again soon!

Comments: If you’re looking for a spacious apartment located close to beautiful Prospect Park you won’t find a better place. This was our fourth stay and won’t be our last.

  • Reviewer: Barbara

Comments: Martha’s place is lovely. The kitchen is well-equipped for take out or dining in. The mattress was very comfortable and the shower was great! The outdoor garden was wonderful despite the cold weather. Great location in Park Slope.

Comments: We enjoyed our stay very much. Lovely apartment in a wonderful location.

  • Reviewer: Ellie

Comments: We stayed at Martha’s apartment for 5 weeks with our 2 year old and cat while our apartment was having some renovations. It was a great place to call “home” and had everything we really needed. The wide plank wood floors were beautiful, the bed was extremely comfortable, it was cozy and warm especially during frigid winter temps, and was in the perfect location. Would definitely recommend!!
