  Comments: Jeremy and his wife we're incredibly caring hosts, they gave us our space in their beautifully converted apartment that Jeremy himself built. It was of the most aesthetically pleasing apartments I've seen on the North Shore. We came to work and had a little trouble with the WIFI so Jeremy kindly installed a router for us. He brought 2 huge branches of Bannanas which kept us going for days, along with Coconuts which all grow on the property. If you're a couple coming to Hawaii or just after a very quiet environment this would be a great place for you.

  Comments: We loved our stay here. Our hosts were excellent and their dogs were so friendly. the accommodations could not have been better. We had a beautiful space and a beautiful view. The location was perfect for North Shore beaches and adventures and was a quick drive to Honolulu. We would highly recommend this stay and look forward to staying here again.

  Comments: The host was very responsive and communications with them was good. They responded promptly and addressed all queries quickly. The place was great! It was clean and orderly, everything we needed was there. The beds were comfy, the bathroom was clean and spacious, and the expansive garden and great view was relaxing. You'll need a car though to get around, since it's the countryside and establishments are a bit far in between. Altogether, I would highly recommend this place for a relaxing stay.

  Comments: Jeremy was a great host and met me when I arrived. I loved how quiet and well appointed their place was. Although there are two other units, I rarely saw the other tenants. Dogs are friendly and nothing to be afraid of. The internet connection is sporadic and does require you to reset the router periodically. This is only issue if you plan to work remotely and have AT&T. The cell connection for AT&T is very weak in that area. The home was perfect however. I thought that having no A/C would be an issue, but the home stayed cool during my whole stay. I enjoyed my stay there and if given a chance I would return in a heartbeat.

  Comments: A very clear and modern house. Clearly new and well thought out for comfort. The neighborhood is quiet and genuine. The host lives on the property with his family and is very discreet. When we came in, we had many things missing from the kitchen, once we told him he provided them within two hours. The kids enjoyed feeding the black pigs (in a well kept and clean enclosure in a corner of the property).

  Comments: Beautiful quaint countryside getaway. Perfect for couples, families, and friends. Jeremy was polite and easy to contact. His 2 dogs are very welcoming, friendly, and well behaved. You'll fall in love with them. Really enjoyed breakfast outside on the balcony with a great scenic view of the mountain, its a perfect way to start your day. There is also a tasty bakery walking distance from the property with great pastries. Nice area that's less than 5mins from the heart of Haleiwa Town and it's beautiful beaches and shops. A lot of hikes nearby as well. I'd recommend staying here.

The location is fantastic, only a short 5 minute drive in to Haleiwa (the coolest town on Oahu) and an easy 50 minute drive to Honolulu/Waikiki. Super clean, super fast wifi, easy check in/out, very secure location (behind locked gate), peaceful and excellent communication from the host. The house had everything we needed. If you are looking to get out of the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, then this is the ultimate North Shore location, we would definitely stay again.

  Comments: What we really liked was a good equipped kitchen, washer didn't work and laundry room was locked. But then we didn't need to do laundry. There is a bakery and convenience store (3rd world style - don't shop here) close by. Better to shop in bigger supermarkets prior. The roosters and birds woke us up early in the morning, communicating with each other, but then it is in the country side. The house and living situation is great, especially with a secure gate and dogs watching.

  Comments: This place is in an absolutely PERFECT location! I don't want to tell everyone about it because I'd like to keep it a secret for myself! This home is so charming, exactly as advertised and the host and his wife are extraordinary folks. The homes boasts beautiful views, location to the nearest town is convenient, and I found this to be total relaxation. Home is perfect for families, romantic getaways, honeymoons, or just the old fashion vacation! The only con, and slightly funny to me is there are resident chickens/roosters near the property. Because most of the homes are not a/c in Hawaii, the windows, doors are left open and the rooster awake very early. Enjoy this paradise, we sure did. We can't wait to come back!

  Comments: This is a fantastic place! It's three beautiful bedrooms that can easily take a large group of people. It's 5 minutes from Haleiwa, 10 minutes from cool places like Dole Plantation, coffee farms, macadamia farms. Near all the north shore beaches. The place is fully self-service so it was really great for us since we came pretty late. It's quiet with a view of the mountains on the patio. Highly recommend!

  Comments: Beautiful views with fruit trees and nature all around. Roosters wake you up at 3:30 am so be prepared! Some ants and bugs inside, mosquitos outside at night. There is a couch and bar stools but no tables or chairs. Bring your own toothpaste, shampoo, toiletries. Unplug and replug the router if wifi does not work. Dogs are friendly and protect the property. Jeremy is nice and very responsive. Quick drive to Haleiwa, get Konos for breakfast!

  Comments: Beautiful property and laid out very well... the compound has the ability to house many, however you feel as though you are the only guest. I wanted the North Shore feel and got it here. The unit I was in was the perfect size for my sister and I (and later my boyfriend). I would recommend this property and these hosts highly.

  Comments: The apartment is very high standard and has everything for comfortable holidays. Kitchen is big and has all tools, so cooking your own dinner is easy. The house is a bit too far to walk to restaurants or beaches. The showers work, you just need figure out how, or ask the hosts ;)

  Comments: We had a fantastic stay! A perfect location for the North Shore beaches, restaurants and shops. And, the drive to Honolulu wasn't terrible the few times we went. The space is modern with ceiling fans throughout that made the heat bearable. The wi-fi was super helpful for my daughter taking online summer classes. Being in the country, there were tiny ants to contend with (mostly in the bathrooms) but with available bug spray, we didn't mind. Jeremy was a great host who is always available when you need him.

  Comments: I had a wonderful experience with this rental, it comes exactly as advertised and described. A couple of things I had to get used to was having no A/C, but that’s just me because I’m spoiled with my a/c running 24/7. Also some people may not like is the crowing of the rooster at 4 or 5am. I personally loved it because I grew up in that town and it made me feel at home again. It may not have the same affect for the City slickers :) But if you’re looking for a nice country side experience, this place is perfect for you! Our unit was clean and inviting! I will certainly rent here again when the time comes for another family reunion in my home town!

Sunsets are amazing on the north shore as is the snorkeling. Our host was there to answer all of our questions and the dogs were very sweet. I would stay here again.

  Comments: So many good things to say about this place. It's beautiful, relaxing, spacious, and great amenities. Location: The place was in a residential area, quiet and serene with a gorgeous backyard view of the mountains. Has a great country feel to it, with roosters crowing in the early dawn. The place is gated, which is a huge plus. Parking spots are provided. The location is in North Shore super close to Haleiwa and all the beautiful beaches. I would suggest renting a vehicle to get to all your destinations. Host: The owner/host lives on site which, to me, was super convenient because he was able to answer questions immediately or provide us with things that were missing. He was very accommodating. The dogs are also super friendly. My baby wasn't even afraid of them. Place: Our place was clean and inviting. The only downfall I would say was that there was no AC, but the ceiling fans made up for it. It's all hardwood flooring. Each room had closets. The host even provided us with a foam cooler, beach towels, and a beach umbrella for use. We made our own breakfast daily and ate it on the balcony while staring into the beautiful view. The furniture was comfy. The decoration was modern and matched very well with the furniture. The showers do work but difficult to figure out and once you get it, it's fairly simple. There are fruit trees on site that the host allowed us to pick at freely. The mangoes were delicious! All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend to everyone.

The location was private, quiet and off the beaten path. But easy to get there from main roads. Everything was new and very clean. Owner responded quickly to questions. The dogs were good company.   Comments: We loved this slice of paradise! The studio was much larger than we expected it to be and very private and clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Also, while it was close to the quaint town of Haleiwa, we felt like we were in the country, with views of the mountains and marshlands. Plus the tropical birds sung to us each morning! My husband was concerned that there was no air conditioning, but it was totally unnecessary as their was plenty of ventilation and ceiling fans. (I think I was even a little chilly one night.) The hosts were super accommodating as well. Definitely recommend!

  Comments: Nice relaxing place, although since it is secluded, you will see bugs, ants, geckos & even cockroaches. Keep it clean, don’t leave food outside & wash the dishes. If you want a full on experience living like a local, I recommend this place for you. It’s very peaceful and quiet but close to nice beaches and places to eat.

It’s a few mins out of town (which was idea for us) - so a car is recommended, it chances are if you made it up to the north shore - you probably have a car anyhow. The instructions were clear, the accomodation was spotless and modern. Couldn’t recommend North Shore Country Living highly enough!

  Comments: Our stay at North Shore Country was very relaxing. Upon arrival we were greeting by the dog, Adira, who stayed by us for most of our stay. The accommodations were roomy, clean, leaning toward the sparse side. Be forewarned that roosters are nearby and take their 5am wake up call very seriously. We did need to drive to everywhere because North Shore Country is about 5 minutes from town. Walking can be done, but it was on a very busy road. The view from the deck was beautiful and I’ll miss having my morning coffee there. I didn’t have any contact with the owner which I would have liked to have.

  Comments: Their places are very beautiful. I wasn’t expecting to have to keep all food in refrigerator because of ants. Didn’t find the host very friendly even after we got there. I think we ran into them one evening leaving. My daughter ask if they were the owners and he joked sometime she lets me stay but she didn’t say a word. When I opened a couple drawers in kitchen I found roaches. I’m sure it’s hard but to many ants.

  Comments: Spacious unit with a gorgeous view, and down the street from Paalaa Kai Bakery... bless. I was a little worried because my traveling companions are used to having A/C, but the fans keep the space plenty cool and comfortable. Previous reviewers mentioned insects and chickens - we didn't see a single mosquito or roach, and the ants really aren't a problem if you don't leave food out. Light sleepers might want to be prepared for the chorus of chickens in the AM - but then you just have more time to enjoy the North Shore!

  Comments: A lovely property that is far enough away from the bustle of gorgeous Haleiwa to feel like you're on your own private farm while only being a few minutes drive in to everything you need. You'll need a car to take advantage of the close driving proximity to great beaches and food trucks. We enjoyed stargazing from the backyard, and the well equipped apartment with everything you need. The doggies are friendly without being needy, we enjoyed their chilled out company when they visited.

  Comments: I couldn’t recommend this place enough. After a nightmarish first night at a place in Waikiki we booked our stay last minute and were so incredibly happy that this place was available. It sits on a huge properly, overlooks a big grassy field and is serene and peaceful. Just 15 minutes from the 7 mile miracle it’s the perfect place to stay if you like to surf, it’s kitted out with all the amentitines you could want, has large living spaces, two friendly dogs and feels safe and secure. I will definitely be returning :)

  Comments: The perfect location for those wanting to stay on the North Shore! So many great things to do in town, the beaches, hikes, and Dole plantation are all close by! It’s also about 2 minutes outside of downtown in a quiet neighborhood. The only downfall is the lack of AC, but most nights there is enough of a breeze that it’s fairly bearable. Highly recommended.

  Comments: Wow, amazing place for the price. I don't understand why people book hotels when places like this exist. The value for what you get is amazing. Nice owners, introduced himself and respected our privacy so that was great. This place feels safe, don't have to worry about leaving stuff in the place with the doors unlocked. I loved the dog adira, it kept coming over and saying hi the whole time. The other dog was really shy. Really has an amazing view out of the porch. I would look this place up first among any other options when ever back in Oahu. Also I loved the chickens/ roosters they are very good at making sure you get up on time in the morning. This helped to maximize our time and do more activities as they never miss their 5am wake up calls, even when there was a tropical storm hitting they still did the job. Things that could be done better: A.C. I know the listing says no AC so you can't be mad at that. It got super hot and humid while there and the fans can only do so much. Maybe they should invest in a portable swamp cooler that rolls around for the summer time. I'd even pay more if that's what it would take. Bugs, bugs, and more bugs. I understand it's Hawaii , everything is green and it's country. So I can live with the bugs. It is a little nerve wrecking when you hop in the shower and there's just a lizard staring you down on the wall, or a cockroach that hides inside your jacket. Other than that it's to be expected as it's country, and I'd still come back 100 times over. The host really should include instructions somewhere on how to turn on the shower. that might be the norm in Hawaii but I've never seen anything like it, and after reading the reviews looks like others have had the same issue. However the host is a short phone call away and you'll have it figured out. That being said this is a perfect listing, and is soooooo much better than staying in Waikiki. So do yourself a favor and stay here.
