Comments: Friendly and helpful hosts. Good location. Room was clean, comfortable and well equipped.

Comments: Nice small apartment. You *do* need a car to get around this island but then this location is a good one to explore the rest of Kauai. Nice to have a 'phone in the room with free local calls and 800 numbers. Don't plan on cooking too much as you only have a microwave and toaster but there's a nice big fridge to store food. We were short a key but Karl replaced it promptly. Altogether a good experience.

Comments: It was our first experience with AirBnb at all and we had a blast. The studio was perfect for the two of us, located between Princeville and all the beautiful beaches just few minutes away. Karl & Rachel have been great hosts, although we never met them in person they've always been available via mail for us, helping us and giving useful advices. we will definitely come back!!

Comments: The studio was located in an o.k. area of Princeville, quick access to the local market and a short ride to Hannalei. I was surprised that the pool wasn't heated. The room hadn't been cleaned, or maintained for some time. Karl, the owner, made good our complaints, and the whole of our stay was a comfortable one.

  • Reviewer: Vladimir

Comments: I have not had a chance to see Karl and Rachel personally but they were very considered and accommodating. The studio is simple but clean, bright and large with huge balcony. Location is beautiful. Right next to the building there is a supreme golf course. Views of the course are amazing. I would stay in this studio next time I am in Hawaii.

Comments: A wonderful one bedroom and bath with convenient kitchen supplies and a full-size refrigerator made my stay very comfortable. The grounds were clean and the other tennents very friendly. Location was perfect as it was near a walking path and shopping mall with a great grocery store.

  • Reviewer: Judy

Comments: We had a perfect time in this studio apt. I wished for a kitchen when we first arrived, but soon found that eating out or take-out was so easy in Princeville, it didn't matter. Thanks Karl and Rachel. Judy and Ed

Comments: This is a mature section of a growing condo community. The room is spacious, the lanai overlooks a busy street. I enjoyed the pool, walk-in shower, separate wash area and the lovely Hawaiian breezes!

Comments: We had a great stay here. The Studio has everything you really need to enjoy your stay. We will definately book here again. The area is Beautiful and the location is primo and the rate cannot be beat!

Comments: Great place to stay in Kauai! Very clean and comfortable! Just what we needed! :) recommend it!

  • Reviewer: Britney

Comments: This place is great and perfect for two! I give four stars only because it does not have a full kitchen--if that doesn't bother you then consider the best choice in Princeville for the money. A kitchen in Hawaii would be nice simply because it costs a lot to dine out every meal and the food is not spectacular unless you visit one of the the islands finer dining establishments ($$$). The place does have a refrigerator, microwave and toaster so you can easily whip up a breakfast/lunch from stuff you get at the nearby super market. Good location, it's close to the infamous and BEAUTIFUL Hanalei Bay and town, many different beaches, the St. Regis hotel, right next to the golf course, and there is a good shopping center pretty close by that has it all--grocery store, mexican food, thai food, ice cream, shave ice, shopping etc. This was our first stay at this place and first time using Airbnb and it was super easy--easier than a hotel and much cheaper. Karl and Rachel respond very quickly to your questions/emails/texts. When we go again we will be staying here. Also note, plan on renting a car--well worth the money and a must have to explore the island and Princeville is about a 30-45 min drive from the airport (there are plenty of places to rent a car at Lihue airport).

  • Reviewer: Vivian

Comments: This is a great little apartment in a prime location--on the North shore, only minutes from Hanalei, which is my favorite beach. Karl was very helpful, whenever I needed him, day or night. I never interacted with Rachel, but I am sure she is, too. There were things in the apartment to use, too, such as boogie boards and beach mats. The mini-kitchenette was helpful, as I could make my own breakfast and lunches to go there--and coffee, as well. There were dishes and utensils, too--and towels of all sizes, so you don't need to bring your own. I will definitely come back as soon as I can--and stay here again. This is a very good price for what you get and where.

Comments: Immaculate condo and grounds. The pool area was nice (although jacuzzi jets were out of order and the grills were tempermental...low gas i think?). There were beach mats, boogie boards and a beach umbrella available for us, which was great but would have loved an extra set of towels. The neighbors kitties were really friendly and cute, we enjoyed giving them attention :) Location was great and super convenient. Pretty much perfect for our needs. Had a fantastic time in Princeville and rest of Kauai!

  • Reviewer: Alison

Comments: Nice choice for an inexpensive weekend on the North Shore! There is a full size fridge/freezer, and there's a microwave and plates/silverware (that is the extent of the kitchenette). Just fine for breakfast or reheating leftovers. You can stock up on groceries at the nearby Foodland. The downsides: the WIFI was frequently down, and parking was difficult when I was there. Bring coffee (there's a coffee maker, filters, but no coffee).

  • Reviewer: Fabien

Comments: Everything was perfect, as described in the ad. I would recommend the place for sure to my friends if they wanna gonna to Kauai! Thanks Karl and Rachel.

Comments: We had a great time in Princeville. The studio is great and the pool with the barbecue is so cool ! You really need to rent a car if you want to explore the island which is really beautiful!!! We highly recommend this place!

Comments: El studio se encuentra en una zona de apartamentos muy bonita y cuidada. En las fotos parece más nuevo de lo que es, pero para dormir es suficiente.

  • Reviewer: Gina

Comments: It was great to have a place on the North Shore, so that we could get up and in place at the various beaches, trails etc. before the parking became too competitive! The unit was comfortable and the grounds looked well maintained. (We intended to try the BBQ by the pool, but we were so busy during our three night stay that we didn't get around to it!) The package of info mailed ahead of time to us made the check-in, parking etc simple. Thanks!

Comments: AMAZING place! Very neat, very comfortable. Loved the space and especially the balcony. We had a lot of fun. Nice view, nice location, perfect everything.

  • Reviewer: Susanne

Comments: perfect apartement! everthing worked very well! very tidy and clean. great location to see na pali coast and hanalei.

  • Reviewer: John

Comments: Great price, good location for access to Hanalei, but the bed was horrible. The boxspring constantly made noise and was sagging below the frame. It kept us up at night and we could feel the metal springs even when we laid a comforter on top! The lack of sleep and sore neck in the morning wasn't worth the price.

Comments: Had a very nice stay in this studio with no major complaints. It was clean and had all the basic things we needed. I debated between 4 and 5 stars as there were some minor things that could have been better, however the main things here are location and price - and for that this deserve a 5 star experience. We wanted an inexpensive option, we wanted this location, so this worked great. There may be nicer or more recently remodeled places for a bit more money, but the full sized fridge with freezer was a major selling point for this one, as was a full sized (not 4-cup) coffee maker - giving this an advantage over many we looked at. It also had some beach stuff to borrow which was very nice. The pool in the complex is fairly nice, and the BBQs seemed to work OK once you got them to light. Overall a great option if you want to be in Princeville and want an inexpensive option.

  • Reviewer: Kevin

Comments: Affordable, clean, charming studio in larger complex in Princeville. TV, fridge, very basic kitchen supplies (no stove). Large parking lot for your rental. Pool access included. Fairly thin walls let a lot of noise in, but you're on vacation and you shouldn't be sleeping in anyway... Very close to a grocery store and easy access to Hanalei and the Kalalau Trail. Queen's Bath is ridiculously close, but don't fall in the ocean...

Comments: Karl & Rachel's studio was a perfect fit for us. Right in Princeville, near Hanalei bay and Anini beach. There isn't a stove but there are key items like coffee maker, full size fridge and micro wave. Loved the huge shower as well. Guest parking for the studio is limited so if you’re out late you might have to park a little further away but it’s only a two minute walk. Definitely a great value and luckily for us when we realized we left the paper work back in Boston Karl remembered the code off the top of his head over the phone. All in all we had a wonderful stay.

Comments: A very nice apartment to stay while exploring Kauai. Just be informed that you have to travel around the whole east/south coast to visit the west shore of Kauai. Even "tools" for the beach were provided. But can't cook there, just microwave and fridge as mentioned in the description. It was nice and clean. A great stay and superb communication with lot's of detailed information to plan our trip! Thank you for everything!

  • Reviewer: Kristina

Comments: Karl and Rachel were fantastic, and the studio apartment was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for enjoying the North and East Shores of Kauai. The studio is in an apartment complex and you share the space with locals, a much more "real" experience than you can find at a hotel. If you are looking for a small space to sleep, enjoy coffee on the Lanai, and plan to spend the rest of your day out enjoying Kauai, this is an excellent choice.

  • Reviewer: Paul

Comments: Old unit, studio, crowded (TV IS ON TOP OF DIRTY FRIDGE) with minimal amenities. Hawaii is hot & (Website hidden by Airbnb) prepared to sweat. On second floor, must climb step stairs. Only microwave for cooking; on north end of island, so lots of travel to other parts.

  • Reviewer: Jane

Comments: We stayed at Karl and Rachel's Princeville condo and would recommend it to others. It's a very good value for the North Shore and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our hosts were well organized, mailing us all the information we need for our stay as soon as we made our booking. The location of the condo is terrific, in the center of Princeville, in a well kept complex. The unit was small as advertised but did not feel at all cramped for two people, it had a good size bathroom and nice size lanai for al fresco dining. The unit was thoughtfully outfitted with everything needed to prepare your own food (except a cooktop, but they have grills in the complex). The parking situation can be a little tricky if you get back very late (or perhaps we were there at a busy time), though thankfully we never had to test the auxiliary parking option, located 300 yards from the complex. I believe some others have commented on the place not being perfectly clean - we felt it was quite clean. The furniture is slightly worn (but still fully functional and useful), which might give that impression. But all the surfaces were very clean and we didn't notice any bug issues at all.

Comments: Amazing apartment in an amazing condo! The place was very clean, beautiful and very well located. Only a few minutes by car to Hanaley Bay. The condo is amazing - it is on the new movie "The Descendants". Kauai is our favorite Hawaian island, the condo is part of this amazing experience. We recommend it!

Comments: Easy check in and check out. Convenient and safe location. No kitchen, just microwave. Thank you for a smooth and joyful stay in Kauai :)

  • Reviewer: Sandra

Comments: We had an awesome stay at Karl & Rachel's Princeville studio. We were first time visitors and booked the space based on all the positive reviews, and we were not led astray! The studio is cute, very open and breezy. There is no a/c but we didn't need it, even in the summer heat! We didn't use the pool or the grill, but it's nice to know that that's an option. The parking was convenient as well. In regards to location, the studio is a short drive to Hanalei which is a quaint laid back town with lots of food options. There was also a Foodland close by that had very fresh ahi poke. While the drive from Princeville to the West was almost 2 hours long, it didn't deter us from checking everything out across the island. The studio could use a few upgrades but is fine without. We would definitely stay here again!

Comments: Well, the studio was perfect size for 1 or 2. It is up on the 2nd floor and shares the landing with a larger unit. Unfortunately, they were really loud and had a crying baby. We heard that baby all the time, especially when the front door or windows were open. We chose to visit in October and the cool winds disappeared. There is no AC which normally is fine but with no winds it was really really hot and humid in the studio. We slept with the ceiling fan on and a box fan positioned at the sliding door to the porch. So if you are visiting in winter, the temperature will probably be fine. For us it was really hot and unfortunately quite loud. The price was great and Karl was very nice over the phone and email. On the porch were small beach chairs and a cooler which we used. There were 2 pool/beach towels, so you don't have to pack them. All in all, the condo is in a complex where lots of people live with lots of kids. If looking for an inexpensive unit, this is it. However, we weren't thrilled with the noise and temperature.

Comments: This is a nice, inexpensive unit for staying in the Princeville area. While it just has a basic kitchenette with microwave, toaster & coffeemaker, plus the large refrigerator it is well supplied with dishes and supplies needed to make quick meals & sandwiches. We did use the BBQ in the pool area which was a nice addition. We found it clean & fairly quiet except for a little early morning commute traffic. It easily accommodated 2 of us with luggage and golf equipment and there is room to put things away. It is upstairs. The wi-fi mostly worked and there is a good selection of cable channels if you want to watch some TV. Karl was quickly responsive when we had a couple of questions. The only negative we found was the bed was not comfortable. It sags pretty badly in the middle. Other than that we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it.

Comments: The place is lovely and the location is good. 5 minutes to Sealodge, which you can hike to the secret beach. 15 minutes to Hanalei bay, and the restaurants/bars around there, and 30 minutes to Ke'e beach. 30 minutes to Kappa town. Parking is difficult in Sandpiper complex, but Karl gave great suggestions and direction.

Comments: A great studio apartment in Princeville! Karl & Rachel were super friendly and supplied us with a ton of information before our stay. The studio was clean & well kept. Hanalei Bay is only a 15min drive away. Convenient to Foodland, gas, and other shopping. Also very close to Queen's Bath hike. Pool & Jacuzzi were great after a day at the beach. Would definitely stay there again.

Comments: Nice place with a large balcony. Quiet neighborhood with a pool, a hot tub, and a BBQ place nearby. Apartment is well equipped but doesn't have a full kitchen (as described). So bring meat and fish for a BBQ dinner and coffee for breakfast. Great place for excursions to the Napali coast and surfing on the north coast.

Comments: Stayed here for five nights and had a great time. The condo is well furnished and had everything we needed. Cooked in several nights using the grill located in the pool area which was easy to use. Enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and seeing albatross nesting in some of the yards nearby. Our hosts did a great job communicating with us and provided all the information we needed for a hassle free stay. Mahalo!

Comments: We spent 10 days here and it was a great base for exploring the island. The room was lovely and clean, plenty big enough for the two of us, comfy bed, a very welcome ceiling fan, and all the amenities we needed, from an enormous fridge-freezer to bottle openers and coffee filters. We didn't feel anything was missing for the whole 10 days were there. It was really nice to have a little private balcony to have breakfast on, and the barbecues in the pool area were great too. We were a bit concerned about "invading" the pool area, not being residents, but the few people we met there made us feel welcome. Although we didn't meet the hosts, Karl was very quick to respond to any questions we had. It's in a good location - little Princeville centre is walkable (we really recommend Tiki Iniki!) and the larger Hanalei is really nice and just a short drive away (we loved it there). Most of the rest of the island is easy to explore from here too, except Waimea canyon which takes around 2.5 hours to get to (but was so spectacular that we went there twice!) The only thing I would make people aware of is this condo is not a place for parties - there's a strict 9pm noise curfew which the neighbours do enforce, especially because the way the condo is laid out you can sometimes hear people talking very clearly. (However the curfew suited us down to the ground as we were jetlagged with a 10 hour time difference and were in bed by 10pm most days!) In general the room had everything we needed, and it's a lovely, family-friendly neighbourhood with very friendly and helpful residents. We really enjoyed our stay.

Comments: Karl and Rachel's place was perfect for our stay in Kauai. The location in Princeville was a fantastic base to explore the island, and an easy drive from our favourite town of Hanalei. We found the airflow in the apartment adequate enough that the lack of aircon was not an issue. The pool and BBQ facilities were also great. Thanks again!

Comments: My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights at Karl and Rachel's apartment and it was really nice. The apartment was really comfortable and clean and we really enjoyed the pool area. Around Princeville there are wonderful beaches for swimming, surfing and snorkeling and especially in Hanalei (next town) there are nice restaurants, cafés and there is always something going on. We really enjoyed our stay and would totally come back again...

Comments: Karl and Rachel's studio was everything we needed for our visit to the north coast, great location, all the necessities, and a very professional host! We had no issues, and Karl left information and answers to anything we may have asked or needed. The space is very private, and after a few emails with all the info, we were on our own to enjoy and explore. The complex the studio is in is great, we took advantage of the pool and bbq area for cooking. The kitchenette is small but effective, and the lanai is great for outdoor meals! We would definitely stay again, hopefully soon!

Comments: Great rental for a couple! The place has all the amenities as a hotel, but private. Karl is easy to work with and responds immediately if needed. Easy access to the complex. All the neighbors are friendly. Perfect getaway for 2 with a smaller budget. We highly recommend this studio!

Comments: Enjoyed our stay. The room is as described - basically a motel room with large refrigerator and microwave. Bathroom sink doubles as kitchen sink. It is in a golf community. It is safe and we saw several people jogging and walking dogs. For us the weather was cool and rainy so did not make use of the pool or outdoor grill. The walls are thin but the neighbors were courteous and we had no problem falling asleep and getting a good night's rest.

Comments: This was a terrific place from which to enjoy all that Kauai has to offer. The studio is just as described, the pool/hot tub were beautiful, and everyone we encountered was very neighbourly. The only small caveat, and as others have noted, is that the units aren't well sound-proofed, and we could definitely hear the next-door tenants coming and going (which isn't to suggest they were loud by any means). Beyond that, I'd be quick to recommend this place to anyone.

Unfortunately, the bed is a bit squishy and the refrigerator is somewhat loud. On the upside, the room remained cool and the fan was quiet.

Comments: Amazing stay. Amazing hosts who really thought of just about everything to make our vacation frictionless. Can't beat the location!!

Comments: Excellent place to visit the North shore of Kauai. Note that this appartement is like in a small resort and you can only cook your food on shared BBQ. Great pool and really close to nice activities of Kauai.

Comments: Place was as described. Perfect for our budget. Thanks again!

Comments: This place was just enough. I think that's the best way to describe it. We knew we'd be out most of the time and wanted to spend the money on food and activities so this was great. It's pretty small - like 300 sf. It has a small dining table with 2 chairs in side and a table with 4 chairs on the patio - which is pretty big. The bathroom has a dispenser with shampoo/condition/body wash (which I thought was great). There is also a blow dryer (also nice). The only real problem was parking - there aren't really enough spots. 5 of the 8 nights, we parked on grass or some other non-spot. I don't think anyone will tow you as long as you're in the lot and not in someone's way. Also there's no air conditioning - maybe that's listed but I didn't realize and that was the one thing I complained about to my husband. At night, there's a nice breeze. There are plates and cutlery as well as wine glasses. The owners are SUPER nice. I said the internet wasn't working and my husband had to do work and Karl came over early the next morning to fix it. Overall, it's cheap so you can do other stuff :)

Comments: Karl and Rachel were incredibly helpful in making sure we had all the information we needed before even reaching the apartment. The apartment itself was perfect for our needs and very comfortable. The location was great for us as we ran all around the north shore. We had an absolutely terrific experience!

Comments: Everything as described. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy the island. It was nice having access to the pool as well... Would stay again. Location convenient for our hike of the Na'pali coast

Comments: Had a really great stay here. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. The pool and hot tub were very nice. This is a great base for exploring the north shore.

Comments: This is a fantastic spot to stay at North Shore! The studio is comfy and clean, it has everything exactly as described. My only complain is the mattress was a bit to soft for me and my husband, apart from that, everything was perfect. And we would come to stay at Karl's studio again for sure.

Comments: The listing was very accurate for this place. My husband and I both really enjoyed our stay here. It was very clean, cozy and quiet. Karl was very quick to respond to any messages we sent.

Comments: A few things to note: Princeville is basically this giant secluded community of resorts & vacation homes on the northshore of Kauai. You should stay at this airbnb if you want to save money. It's really the bare minimum - small and dark. There is no AC and the unit is pretty outdated. Unfortunately, we encountered a couple cockroaches during our stay. Its understandable due to tropical weather, but it was still rather unpleasant. We tried to minimize our time spent at the unit. The Princeville location isn't ideal if you want to explore the island. We did a lot of driving. I absolutely loved Kauai but won't be staying here next time.

Comments: Beau petit studio douillet et propre. Les photos correspondent à la réalité et Karl est très facilement joignable. Nous avons aimé notre séjour à Princeville.

Comments: Karl was highly responsive and flexible. His instructions are thorough. Everything was very smooth. The complex and unit do show a little bit more wear and tear than I could tell from the pictures but I would definitely stay here again given the solid value.

Comments: We had a great time staying at Rachel and Karl's place! The apartment was just as described and is located in a very nice neighbourhood just a short drive to Hanalei or the Napali coast. We can definitely recommend staying here and would do so again ourselves anytime! Thank you Rachel and Karl!!

Comments: We had a pleasant stay in Karl's studio. The place is as described, communication with Karl is perfect and all is just fine. This studio is not your normal Airbnb experience, no other contact than written with the host and seems to be used 100% for rental. The location is convenient to explore the north coast by car, but Princeville is very weird and unattractive (to me, at least). Next time, I'd rather stay in Kilauea or Hanalei. So despite the fact that the studio itself is good enough (old though), I would not visit again but mainly because of princeville. And if I would choose to stay in Princeville, I would save up a bit longer and get an oceanview.

Comments: Great value for centrally located accommodations in Princeville. The apartment was as described and everything went very smoothly

Comments: We chose this studio because of the reviews, price & photos. We booked & paid for the studio 7 months in advance. As we arrived to Kauai I was not feeling well, Karl was kind enough to let us check in a few hrs early. The studio was basic as was listed. And we knew this, we don't need fancy. The pool & bbq area was nice as well, however prior to our trip there was a review where customer states there were bugs or roaches in the studio. I asked Karl about this,he stated "that there are always bugs anywhere you go". Unfortunately there were roaches, both nights we were there. Which was a big disappointment. Another disappointment was the room fan that was in there studio, it was old and dirty and only had one speed the lowest. There is a ceiling fan but did not cool the room as we would have liked. We slept with front & back doors open the first night the next day we bought a box fan which helped tremendously with the ceiling fan to circulate the air. We did not contact owner (our decision) since policy is strict and we wanted to enjoy our time in Kauai. We chose to leave for another place to stay where there we had the best time.

Comments: Lovely studio, big enough for 2 and in such a great location! A couple of downsides to the place was the lack of a proper kitchen sink to wash plates and kitchen utensils and having to drive to Kapaa to do laundry. Besides those everything else was fine! Loved the fact that the location was so close to Hanalei Bay. Will definitely consider staying there again. Thanks Karl and Rachel!

Comments: Great value for Hawaii! A little noisy because there is no air conditioning so people keep their windows open. The chickens might wake you up earlier than you would like, but that occurs most places on the island.

Comments: The Apartment is very Nice with a big balcony in a beautiful area called Sandpiper Village , close To a Golfclub area. Very calm , Nice neighbours, with a Big Pool, everything very clean. We can recommend It!!!

Comments: We booked an additional 3 days to our trip to Kauai as it allowed us to use our air miles to book a free flight back home to the great state of Texas, so we booked here to extend our stay. We had no expectations, and were mostly pleased with the accommodations. Pros: Cable flat screen TV, full-size fridge, & a nice sized private lanai. Cons: Small in size, bathroom sink serves for brushing teeth and rinsing dishes, only supplied one towel each for 3 nights. Dave & Theresa Blanks

Comments: This airbnb is a really good basis for all what you need if you want to explore the island. We didn't stay during the day, but we also had enough kitchen equipment to prepare our breakfast.(toaster/microwave/coffee machine, fridge and freezer). We didn't use the pool or the barbecue. The area is really nice and we also found every night a parking spot. It's really safe. We found 2 beach chair, cooler box and snorkeling equipment on the airbnb. Also we enjoyed to sit outside. The bed is good enough to sleep in it. A big shower is provided. Also a Tv. It was nice and clean and we didn't see any bugs! I highly recommend this place because this nice safe area and amazing price!

Comments: Great condo! Spacious and well equipped. The biggest issue I had was locating the condo in the dark after a very long day. The hosts DID provide a map but very hard to decifer unless you were familiar. Once I found it, there was no problem...EXCEPT for finding parking every night.

  • Reviewer: Vincent

Comments: Very well located, we had a great expérience!

Comments: The place was very cozy and clean. There is everything you need and the check in was very easy and the information sheet which you get is very helpful. We had some trouble with the parking lot because after 10pm everything was completely packed, if you are there before you shouldn't have any problems. There are several great places around just explore. A Foodland is just minutes away, so some restaurants.

Comments: This was a great studio apartment to access Kauai's north shore. Location was ideal, space was clean and tidy, and the amenities (e.g. pool, hot tub, beach equipment) were enjoyable.

Comments: Studio in a good location in princeville near the golf course if you wanna running safely in the early morning like me! There is a lot of room in the studio. The best is very comfy and the lanai is Sunny! Everything was clean. The only negative point is the that the fridge is very noisy at Night.

Comments: Everything was as advertised. Karl sent a lot of useful info so checking in was easy. Absolutely loved to community pool and we walked to other spots like Hideaway Beach, Princeville shopping center. and the Queens pool. Parking was often full if you came back later in the day so be careful to read and follow the instructions.

Comments: Was a great place. Great location. Karl was very helpful - provided lots of information on the area, parking and check-in. Clean, private and perfect for two! Loved sitting on the lanai. Definitely recommend!

  • Reviewer: Nadia

Comments: What a great condo! There's a beautiful lanai, a kitchenette with all the essentials, huge fridge (can be a bit noisy at night), closet with lots of hangers, clothing rack, nice dining area, lots of space for your stuff, tv with cable, good Wifi and lots of power outlets. The shower is big which I loved. Plus a queen bed made in heaven, I've slept so well! The location is great, supermarket nearby, close to beautiful Haleiwa and all the beautiful beaches. I always found a parking space in the back lot (even when getting home after dark). Contacting Karl was easy and he always replied quickly, mahalo :) I would definitely stay here again, loved it! Thank you for having me :)

Comments: Karl & Rachel's place is everything you see in the photos and read on the description. Very well located to do everything that is to do in Kauai (if you have a car). Bed is really comfortable and the complex is safe and well mantained. Good value for your money.

Comments: A clean and cosy appartement which provides everything you need!

Comments: The place was extremely clean when we arrived. There was a large bed, plenty of pillows, and towels. I loved the self check in and check out process, it saved a lot of time and stress. Karl’s directions for the entire process were clear and concise. He also provided us with a map of the apartment complex and Kaua’i itself. There were also a lot of homey touches, like a microwave, toaster oven, full sized fridge, a coffee maker, and dishes, which really made the trip much smoother. There was also a small balcony with a table/chairs. The grills down at the pool at the complex were also a huge perk! I would highly suggest this place for any couple. It was a great price, location, and amenities!

Comments: Absolutely loved our week long stay at Karl & Rachel’s place, it is a great central location close to the shops and beaches. It is a neat and tidy place with great amenities. Communication with Karl was very quick and easy and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We will be back to explore more of the North Shore again soon!!

Comments: Nice location in Princeville, close to the start of Kalalau trail and plenty of nice beaches. The apartment was clean with all needed amenities.

  • Reviewer: Raquel

Comments: The community is beautiful. The pool area is nice. I just wasn’t expecting the room to absorb so much heat inside. Once it’s nighttime if you have both fans it cools down a bit. Other than the heat it was next to some cute little stores and there is a hike in the community itself to some tide pools that I totally recommend.

Comments: The stay at Karl abd Rachels apartment was really cool. Unfortunately the hurricane was coming so it only rained these days, but therefore the cozy flat was nice to spent time in.

Comments: Eine gute Unterkunft, um die Insel zu erkunden. Sehr hellhörig und dadurch laut

  • Reviewer: Keith

Comments: Karl&Rachel's Place is a quiet and peaceful, getaway from it all place that is great to "come home to" after a day of running around the island. The hosts make it so easy to check in/out and have provided little amenities to make it just right. It's location is perfect for trips to the many beaches and attractions. We would definitely be willing to stay here again.

  • Reviewer: Hien

Comments: The studio is clean. The host sent us very detail information about the place, neighborhood and rules. We like the location, quiet and beautiful neighborhood. Can access to local food store/restaurants/bus stop within 20 minute walk.

  • Reviewer: Myla

Comments: Karl was a great communicator and was relatively quick in responses. We arrived a few hours before check in and they were graciously able to accommodate for us to check in sooner, which we greatly appreciate. I would say the place looks more outdated in person than the pictures appears as there is more wear and tear on some furnishings. However, if you are going to the island to explore you won't spend much time in the studio anyways so that shouldn't be a huge issue. Location is solid since its in a nice complex area and it is next to restaurants and a super market. Also it was convenient that parking was provided.

  • Reviewer: Adam

Comments: Dishes are old and dirty, hosts are not very clear with the apartment the parking situation is ridiculous, you are connected to another apartment which the sound is not properly blocked out, not to mention we found hair and sand in the bed when we first arrived

  • Reviewer: Leandro

Comments: Beautiful location, comfortable room and easy check in. Not ideal for cooking but you can prepare small meals in a electric oven. Would stay again. Lots of beautiful beaches around.

  • Reviewer: Kevin

Comments: Karl and Rachel excellently communicated every relavent detail about this space. The location was great, and the grounds were beautiful. The unit is quite loud during the day, and some of the photos must be old as there is some wear and tear in the unit. Overall, we had a great stay.

Comments: This condo was a great place to stay if you’re looking for a great town and an amazing adventure! Princeville was so much fun and had so much to offer! The drive from the airport is absolutely beautiful and there are a couple of great beaches to go to! There are also tons of amazing hikes to go on around the small island! We totally recommend coming here and staying for quite a while!

Comments: Stayed here for 4 night in Feb 2019. The pictures represent the place pretty well. It was a bit older than I expected. The place was clean. The bed was comfortable, but there isn't a lot of extra room. There is a coffee maker, a microwave and a toaster oven. There are a few plates and some utensils. Washing them was a bit difficult, because you need to use the bathroom sink. They provided shampoo, conditioner and soap, but I'm not sure of the quality. They had some extra items which were a nice touch. Beach chairs, snorkel gear, & beach towels. The location was excellent, on the north shore in Princeville. It's in a huge complex of residences. There is a shopping area with restaurants & a nice grocery store within a 5 minute drive. We enjoyed our stay.
