Their house is so new and clean, and the view there is amazing that we can see diamond head and beaches from the balcony and our room! We are so exited to be their first guests.   Comments: This is a suite in a house on a hillside overlooking Diamond Head and Waikiki. The view from the house lanai is tremendous. The host was very accommodating. The furnishings were comfortable, with air conditioning controlled in the room, a ceiling fan and light with remote controls, a television with a million channels (it's Hawaii, we never used it). The bedroom and the private bath and shower are nicely appointed. The room hallway provides access to a small refrigerator, and to the washer and dryer. One caution is that the house is on a hillside and the bedroom is one flight down. Access to the house is on a short but steep slanted path to the steps. So, if you have mobility issues, this may not be for you.

  Comments: This is by far one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in while visiting Oahu. The residence resides in a wonderful and quite neighborhood perfect for getting away from the everyday hustle while providing breath taking views of Diamond Head and Waikiki. Truly a perfect location to rest yet close enough to get to any major attraction without causing any inconvenience. Mimi and her family are wonderful!   Comments: MiMi's place was lovely. She and her husband were both super friendly and welcoming. The view from their porch is gorgeous- you can see Le'ahi (Diamond Head), the ocean, and the city skyline. Everything in the guest room is new and nice and super clean, and the bed is large and soft and comfortable. The bedroom and bathroom feel very private, and we appreciated the mini fridge and being able to do a load of laundry during our stay. They provided thoughtful extras like chilled bottled water and beach towels. It's easy to stay cool with the ceiling fan and AC (we were there in January and we're fine using just the ceiling fan). We would definitely stay here again!

  Comments: MiMI's house is 5 Star with the most spectacular view over Dimond Head, Waikiki and the Pacific Ocean.From the moment we arrived MiMi and her husband Norm and of course their beautiful son made us feel so welcome. Our accommodation was new, modern and really peaceful with every thing we needed. The bedroom is very private with a beautiful ensuite bathroom. There is cable TV, a fridge and the use of the laundry with both washing machine and dryer. We loved the very whizzy smart front door locking system operated from our mobile phones . ( A home away from home ) We can highly recommend MiMi's Airbnb to any one looking for a fantastic stay in Honolulu and can't for a return stay.   Comments: The location near the Kahala Mall was ideal for us as we were visiting family in the area. It is not near the more touristy areas, but we weren't looking for that. In addition, it is close to many good restaurants. It was outstandingly clean and the hosts were more than helpful with any questions we had.

  Comments: Arriving at MiMi's beautiful house up the hill with georgous view of Waikiki and Diamond Head is the ultimative airbnb dream and we felt comfortable at once. The house is nicely decorated and the guest room at the lower level with own bathroom is just great! The bed is very soft and the sheets so nice, making you sleep like in heaven. The private bathroom is big and everything was spotless! Washing machine and tumbler worked perfectly. There is a fridge for the guests, beach towels are provided and we could even borrow a beach umbrella. TV and WiFi worked very well. We had a great time with the whole family eating out and even spend a beautiful day at North Shore together. We would love to return!

  Comments: Mimi's place is beyond our expectation. Their home is very clean, beautiful, and convenient with only 15 minutes drive to waikiki (btw, it is easy to find a free parking at waikiki. On the west side, you can park at Ala Moana park. On the east side, you can find parking at Honolulu zoo.) Upon arrival, Mimi and her family gave us a warm welcome. They shared tips about where to eat and gave us suggestions about where to find beautiful places to take photos. They also offered us beach towels, beach chair and umbrella. The room is bright, comfortable, and quiet. With private access to the bathroom, it is as convenient as a hotel room. They also provide a fridge for us and have some bottle water for us. Mimi and her husband are very helpful and kind hearted. After the first day snorkeling, my husband got serious sunburn everywhere on his body. We were worried because we booked another snorkeling tour early morning in the next day but we didn't have long sleeve clothes. We almost canceled the tour because we did not want worsen the sunburn. At this time, Mimi's husband kindly lent us his clothes and they fit very well on my husband. Thanks to them, we could make it to the tour on the next day. Absolutely recommend this place!! They are very kind family and I believe you will have great time during your stay.

  Comments: MiMi's room looks exactly like the pictures and is *VERY* clean and quiet! The house is beautiful and modern and recently remodeled. Secluded in a good way--quiet at night and peaceful but a 10 minute drive to the beach or Diamond Head and 20 min to downtown! It was nicer than a hotel room and in a better location!! Make sure you have a car because the hill they live on is steep and you will need it to get around. The hosts are also very accommodating and welcoming and have a list of great places to eat and visit while you are on the island if you are new to the area. All in all I highly recommend this place!!

The view of downtown Honolulu, Diamond Head, and the ocean is perfect. Our room was great with an updated, modern bathroom. There is AC in the room if you prefer. The room was great it had everything we needed during our stay we only needed to bring carryon luggage with us. The air conditioning and fan was fantastic and the room was very clean. You can share the nice balcony they have overlooking waikiki beach, diamond head, and city. Mimi & Husband were great hosts and recommended great places to eat. I prefer to rent a car, it is in the hills, but only a 10-15 minute drive to Wakiki beach, and shopping. My fiance and I enjoyed our stay.

  Comments: Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the whole family and their son Kayden even gave me a hug! They each grabbed a luggage of ours to bring inside - wow, if that's not the Aloha spirit then I don't know what is! We felt as if we were part of the family from the start. The house looked exactly as pictured. The room was clean and modern and the bed was amazingly comfortable. We also borrowed their umbrella and beach chairs which came in very handy on our beach days. The location was pretty central to everything. We didn't have to worry about getting stuck in the Waikiki traffic or paying for parking. We would highly recommend you stay here. We will certainly be back!

The location is hard to beat as it is central to Honolulu and the rest of Oahu and very easy to get around.   Comments: It was the best lodging on Oahu trip. Our couple chose this place because Waikiki seemed too complicated. It is recommended that you choose here if you want a quiet view. I would like to use a communal kitchen and recommend it if it is not inconvenient. Young couples are landlords, so there is no inconvenience to communicate with each other like (Hidden by Airbnb) translator. It is also good to get a recommendation of a nearby beach or a good restaurant. It was family-centered and it was impressive to have breakfast. I would like to visit again if I come back to Oahu. The single room is small, 2 is suitable for use. Beach towels are also available. A large towel is also available. The cleanliness is perfect. The air conditioner is cool. We had various conversations with the owner here. We were a Korean couple.

Mimi and Norm were exceptional hosts and very helpful when trying to figure out our next meal in town.   Comments: MiMi's accommodations were all and more of what is described in her advertisement. The views from the lanai are outstanding. We had full access to their kitchen. The bedroom and bath are immaculate, modern and comfortable. A king sized bed and air conditioning are added pluses. I can't do without these amenities. And, the entire Chan clan are the most amazing of loving people; warm, intelligent and ever so helpful. Norm, husband and father, is high tech savvy and helped me with my computer/ tablet/ iPhone needs. MiMi is well versed in the tech department, too. Plenty of street parking in a quiet neighborhood and lovely home occupied by beautiful, loving people.

  Comments: Wir haben die letzten Tage unseres Hawaii Urlaubs bei MiMi, Norm und ihrem Sohn verbracht und es hätte schöner nicht sein können. Bereits der Empfang war sehr herzlich und wir haben uns direkt wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Familie ist sehr sympathisch. Das Zimmer mit angeschlossenem Bad ist toll eingerichtet. Besonders bequem ist das Bett. Alles war sehr sauber und von der Ausstattung her hat man alles was man benötigt. Vom Haus aus hat man einen atemberaubenden Ausblick über ganz Honolulu samt Diamond Head. Von der Dachterasse aus kann man wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge beobachten. Die Unterkunft ist absolut empfehlenswert und wir hoffen irgendwann wiederzukommen.

  Comments: BEST AIRBNB in every way! We're very grateful to have met MiMi's warmhearted family (including her cat meowwww) and to have stayed at her lovely house with the breathtaking view! Communication was smooth. Location was close to everywhere and easy to find. Parking was convenient, and there's always a spot in front of the house (loved driving in the neighborhood too!) Cleanliness was more than just 5 stars on top of high quality designer building material, decor, and even the toiletries! Bath and beach towels along with eco friendly tote bag were provided (separate fridge and water too!) The view was magnificent, and we tried to appreciate it as much as we could before leaving. Mimi and Norm are so warmhearted and offered us some useful tips for our visit. MiMi's home is Nordic style, brand new, super clean and "smart". From the lanai, you can enjoy the million dollar view of sunrise over Diamand Head. Location is close to the various restaurants, shopping center and Wakiki.   Comments: 极力推荐的一家airbnb,也是我住过最好的一家,我在很多国家包括美国其他城市都住过airbnb哦!首先是房东Mimi,Norm还有非常可爱和好客的Kayden,他们待人十分真诚,主动帮我们搬行李,也会邀请我们共进早餐,还带了本地非常有名的小吃给我们分享!家里还有只很乖但也很傲娇的黑喵哦!其次就是房间设施了,非常现代化的装修风格,所有东西都很干净,有独立卫生间､冰箱､电视机,房东还准备了很全的当地餐厅､游览使用指南-小册子!然后就是位置了,使用导航基本上很准确就能找到这家,门口停车很方便,是一个很安静的社区,房东会提醒你不要太喧哗,特别是晚上｡所以早上也可以睡到自然醒啦!个人的一些感受:中国人住民宿比较方便,可以用厨房烧热水､可以跟房东拉家常,得到点本地建议哈!总之真心推荐!

Instructions were very clear and we had everything we needed for a clean, comfortable stay. Even help with the luggage in and out. And as you can tell from the pictures the view is absolutely breathtaking! Great location for the south side of Oahu. 10 mins to some nice beaches, 20 mins to Honolulu, 10 mins to Diamond Head and 10 mins to one of our favorite discoveries - Leonard's bakery!   Comments: Our stay at Mimi’s was hands down the best Airbnb experience we’ve ever had. It wasn’t just the perfectly spacious, modern, and clean room. It wasn’t even the breathtaking view overlooking the ocean and all of Waikiki, or the fact that we had our own personal mini fridge to store our fresh fruits. What stood out immediately was her genuine warmth and hospitality. As soon as we parked our car, she and her husband walked out in the rain to offer us an umbrella and help carry our luggage inside. One day, they even drove out of their way to drop off a bag we accidentally left at their home. By the end of our visit, we felt like we were leaving family. If you’re looking for a home away from home when visiting Oahu, seriously look no further. We had such a joyful and memorable time getting to know y'all! Thank you for everything!!

  Comments: Mimi and her family were excellent hosts! They’re all so kind and their home is beautiful with breathtaking views! Communication from the very beginning was seamless. I mentioned to them that I was there during my birthday and they got me a cupcake and sang Happy Birthday to me. They didn’t have to do that, but it truly made my day, especially because I was traveling solo on this trip. The space is so cute and immaculately clean, which is so important to me when staying with hosts. They are quiet too so I never felt like there was any noise, but whenever I crossed paths with them, they’re very easy to talk to and have conversations with. Parking was not a problem at all and it’s quick to get to the highways, Diamond Head, and Waikiki. You’re close but not where it’s crowded with tourists. I enjoyed my stay with them and will definitely recommend their place to others and would stay again! Oh and I didn’t use the air conditioner either; I just used the fan and the room was nice and cool. They also offered for me to use the beach umbrella, chair, and bag which all came in handy because I lucked out with a couple of days of nice, sunny weather! Thank you Mimi, Norm, and Kayden!   Comments: Mimi's home is spotlessly clean, modern, comfortable and the perfect place to return to after exploring the island. A car is necessary to get to this location but you will not be disappointed. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, away from hustle and bustle which is a blessing! Only a 5min drive down the hill takes you to Kahala Mall, Whole Foods and local restaurants. Diamond Head is only 10 min away, and Waikiki/Ala Moana are easily accessible as well. Excellent spot!!

  Comments: Amazing stay! I’m impressed by the cleanliness and how modern the room looked. Everything worked well and the view from their lanai was spectacular! You could see the fireworks from there. A car is definitely needed to get here as it’s located on top of a steep hill/mountain. (Because you travel with your car, parking in Waikiki can be difficult. But the hosts are very informative in this area) My stay was perfect, thank you!

Stunning views from the room and lanai, and luxurious unit with all the amenities (including chairs, flippers, umbrella etc.). It was helpful to have Norm walk us through the briefing that's written down too. As has been mentioned, the family (Mimi, Norm, son Kayden, Priscilla the cat) is amazing: helping with luggage!, accessible (Norm works at home), personable (wonderful conversations, and they treated us to a bfast!), yet provide privacy....we really enjoyed them all! Highly recommended.

  Comments: My stay at Mimi's place was definitely an unforgettable experience because the communication was prompt, and she and her husband assisted me greatly right from the moment my car arrived in front of the house, offering to help with the luggage and explained everything about the house, amenities, etc. clearly; they were also eager to chat with us and gave us some great local tips regarding points of interests and restaurants, so the hospitality was top-notch. The place itself was impeccable, the bed was so comfortable, and the view was so gorgeous, even better than the pictures, especially during sunrise. But since the place is located above hill, renting a car is a must for a hassle free experience. The place is also located in a quiet residential neighborhood so if you wanna get a good night sleep, this is the place to be. I will definitely consider staying here again when I go back to Oahu in the future.

  Comments: Upon our first arrival at Mimi's, we already felt like we were coming home. Driving into the neighborhood up Wilhelmina Rise was an attraction itself. That steep climb showcased the amazing topography of Oahu, yet didn't feel like just a touristy thing to do. From there, we found other delightful spots that the locals frequented. In fact, those who stop in every day asked us how we knew about "Coffee Talk" because tourists do not typically find it. Mimi and Norm never led us astray with any of their suggestions for meals or places to experience! Another amazing feature of Mimi's Airbnb was the lanai with a view so spectacular that people back home asked, "Where on earth are you that you captured those sunset pictures?" When we climbed to the top of Diamondhead, we stood in awe of "our" neighborhood across the city. We have already told friends and family that this is just the place to stay when they travel to Oahu. Now that we've met Mimi and her delightful family, these new friends (including Purrcilla, the cat) beckon us back to another Aloha!

As for the location, the view is outstanding as the house is up on a hill. The road to the house gets narrower and steeper w/ many curves, so be mindful when driving at night.
