  Comments: We had a really amazing short stay in barcelona. The apartment is so cosy and located perfectly in the middle of el barrio gótic. The flat was super quiet, with a small balcony out the back. It had everything we needed, well equipped. 2 bathrooms and a comfortable lounge to gather. Everything was super clean. As it is in a big house with mostly locals living there, it is so important to respect the rules. They will appreciate you not being too loud. Once you step out of the house, you are in the heart of Barcelona with plenty small restaurants and bars within walking distance. Even la barceloneta (beach) is only a 20 minute walk. Las ramblas is just around the corner. I would definitely recommend to stay there, brilliant for a relaxing getaway!

  Comments: Very good apartment in a very good location, next to Plaça Reial and the Rambla de Cataluña. Very confortable with all you need to cook, do the laundry and rest. The wireless internet worked fine. The apartment is as shown in the photos and my kids loved it. The zone is plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, bike rentals and a variety of shops but still the apartment is very quiet. I fully recommend the place for your stay.David is an excellent host, he was waiting for us and helped us letting us get into the apartment early and carrying our bags. My family and I felt very well welcomed by David and really enjoyed our stay. Thanks David for all.

  Comments: We had a great stay at the flat! The location is perfect for exploring the center of Barcelona and Barrio Gotic. You're right off busy Placa Reial, but you'd never know it as the flat faces into other buildings and courtyards and it's extremely quiet. We were there on New Year's eve, and even then we didn't hear a peep from the streets or plaza. The flat itself is super clean, spacious, and full of natural light. David was a fantastic host: he was easy to reach, very communicative, and extremely helpful. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and he swiftly answered our requests for more blankets and pillows. Overall, the flat is pleasant and comfortable, the location is unbeatable, and the hosts are fantastic. Everything was great, and I can't recommend it enough!

  Comments: This is a lovely apartment right in the Gothic quarter, just off the Placa Reial. There was generous space for our family of two adults and a teen son and daughter. The location is superb, it is well equipped, and communication and check in were good. It is high on the third floor but there is a small elevator. We arrived in Barcelona on New Years day, and there were still beautiful decorations and lights around the city for the holidays.

  Comments: David and David are doing a great job, they realy try to communicate as fast as possible and they try to keep their promise to offer a calm and nice place to stay with children or as a group of couples. Altough the appartment is located in the middle of Bari Gotic and has an excellent access to the public transport, to the port and to the big rambla. So you are in the center of any kind of shops and restaurants. We, my family and me, spent a great time in Barcelona, thanks also to the place where we could stay. The Davids are nice and always ready to answer to your questions.

  Comments: We (family of 4 with two teenage daughters) had a very nice stay this property. Notably, it was well located, an easy walk to the Metro, and in the middle of an interesting neighborhood. We felt the price was reasonable, and the accommodations were very satisfactory. The apartment is clean, you don't hear noises from the neighbors at all, the beds are comfortable, and it has wifi! Do understand that this is an apartment in a building of full-time residences, in an old neighborhood of Barcelona. I sincerely enjoyed that aspect of our experience, and would readily stay here again. Do expect a nice, comfortable place to stay that welcomes you back at the end of a long day exploring a great city! In all, this is a great value. Instead of coffee delivered to your room, roll down to the shop on the corner in the morning for a cafe and pastry. One of our two best meals was in a restaurant literally right across from the front door of our building ( I would suggest staying away from the restaurants in the Placa Reial. Everytime you walk through, you are propositioned for a meal, and the best rated on Yelp was just okay. Instead, look out the front as mentioned above, or turn right when leaving the building and explore all the great little avenues with many restaurant options. If you know what you are looking for, I would highly recommend this property and David&David!

  Comments: Wij hebben met 4 vriendinnen verbleven in het appartement. Het ontvangst was zeer hartelijk. David is heel behulpzaam. Hij heeft ons direct een aantal voorstellen gedaan om nog iets te gaan eten. Ook tijdens het verblijf konden we hem steeds contacteren bij vragen. Het appartement is heel ruim, netjes, alles is voorhanden. Het is gelegen in het midden van het centrum, vlakbij de Plaza Reial. Hoewel het een drukke buurt is, merk je in het appartement niets van het lawaai van buiten. Kortom, het was een super weekend !!

The apartment offers plenty of space for a family, is clean and well equipped. It is very quiet, as there is no traffic in the surrounding streets. The only noise comes from the gulls early in the morning. The communication with David&David is very smooth and we were able to check out one hour later than originally planned.

  Comments: Unser Urlaub war genau das, was wir erwartet hatten: Eine Wohnung in der Nähe der La Rambla, jedoch auch ruhig gelegen, von der wir alle Sehenswürdigkeiten Barcelonas und Umgebung erlaufen bzw. mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erkunden konnten. David&David haben uns mit Tipps für die Tickets der U-Bahn, Restaurants oder wo der beste Familienstrand ist, sehr gut und schnell unterstützt und auch das Taxi am Abreisetag organisiert. Es hat perfekt funktioniert. In der Wohnung war alles Notwendige da und wir waren dankbar für die Klimaanlagen (perfekte Abkühlung). Wir sagen nur "Danke" und kommen gern wieder.

We were just looking for the basics in a good location, and the apartment is just what we wanted and more. Clean, spacious, comfortable, plenty of windows, plus the balconies, which were a bonus to be able to sit outside for a few minutes at the end of the day. The bed linens were very nice as well. The neighborhood is awesome, tons of Tapas bars and bakeries, shops, etc. David was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and local tips at the check-in, and even ordered us our cab on our day of departure.   Comments: This is a very nice apartment in an ideal location. It's very close to Plaça Reial, the Ramblas and all the major attractions. On the other side you are in the middle of the old town with all the necessary convenience stores, markets etc. The flat comes with all amenities needed. It is spacious, well maintained, clean, safe and quiet. We were a party of four and used all three beedroms. With two bathrooms, a small balcony and living room we really enjoyed David & David's flat. We met one of the Davids very briefly. Communication was swift and good, check-in a breeze. Highly recommended.

  Comments: David & David’s place couldn’t have been in a better location. It was clean, comfortable and had everything you could need for your stay. The only unfortunate part was we were asked to leave cause we were apparently too loud. Sound must carry or they have sensitive neighbors as we had complaints the first two nights and were asked to leave on the third. On the first night we were casually watching television at a reasonable volume, which apparently prompted a complaint however we were never notified by David. If we had of been notified we certainly would have been extremely careful but weren’t given the opportunity. On night two we played music at what we considered a normal respectful volume, but clearly that wasn’t the case. Our group was comprised of Courteaus, young professionals and would have never played any sort of music (or surprisingly television for that matter) if we had of known how sensitive the neighbors were. I would definitely stay with a David again and encourage anyone else to do so as well, but keep this in mind.

One of the bedrooms is quite large, the other two a bit small but fits your things. The living space was big enough for all of us to sit together. The dining space (in the kitchen) was too small for six; that is clear from the photos. The living room furniture is functional but a bit worn-out. The location is great. Right next to Plaza Real and the Ramblas. Lots of places to eat, walkable to most sites.

  Comments: I would highly recommend David's apartment. It has a great location and it is in a bustling location with many activities nearby. You are a short walk to the Ramblas. Easy access to the beach and la Boqueria. 10 minute walk to Picasso museum. David is very easy to reach if needed. The apartment is very quiet and insulated from the noise that comes from the nearby restaurants. Neighbors were quiet as well. Small details missing were toiletries/body soap/shampoo and coffee (this seems standard in some US locations but may not be standard in Barcelona). I would highly recommend this apartment if you are looking for a centralized location with restaurants/night life.

  Comments: David&David are great hosts. The apartment is in the perfect location in the Gothic area. A good spot close to all the wonderful sights. We walked everywhere. The street noise was barely audible. There is air-conditioning at either end of the place, but you have to leave your bedroom doors open to get air in the bedrooms. There are 2 delicious restaurants right outside the front door of the building. It is a good place for a home base while in Barcelona.

It is a very nice aparment with plenty of room. I visited a different cafe every morning to bring back fresh baking and coffee! The Gothic district is the place to be.

  Comments: This location is amazing, and the apartment is comfortable to share with another family as it is air conditioned and has two full bathrooms! It's just steps from Placa Reial and La Rambla. It's an easy walk to the Museu Picasso. There is so much to do and see just outside, but none of it can be heard from inside the apartment which is great for sleeping in after a late night out of dancing! It's surprisingly open and breezy too with nice natural light and a balcony off the living room and master bedroom. Recommend packing light and taking advantage of the washer inside the apartment. There were steel hangers available to hang dry essentials, which were dry by morning. There are also several laundry mats just outside if wanting to use a dryer. We took one under-seat sized roller bag for each person in our party and a handbag or shoulder bag/backpack and still had more than what we needed, even including formal wear. Best of all, it was so easy to get around (taxi, metro, small elevator, or carry up stairs, etc.). We left room to buy a souvenir bag to pack full for gifts and never had to wait for checked bags as all were carry on size, even for the smaller commuter flights between countries. Our hosts recommended restaurants and markets nearby. We loved the Tapeo Bar and La Quinze Nits! All were a terrific value! We also recommend the free walking tour from Barcelona Excursions early in the trip for other fantastic insights to this location. Also worthy of mentioning, we were lucky to be able to see Flamenco at Palau de la Musica – so beautiful that we wanted to cry! Thank you, David and David, for everything!!

  Comments: David was an amazing host! We have never had such a helpful Airbnb host in all of our many stays through Airbnb. He was easy and quick to communicate with, very helpful with any questions we had, and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay! We were beyond impressed with his hospitality and effort to make our stay in Barcelona the best it could be. The flat was a generous size for our family of five that includes three young children. It was great to have two separate bathrooms, and all the beds were comfortable. We thought it was a great value for money. It was in the perfect spot to get to all of the attractions we wanted to visit (aquarium, zoo, etc), but also very close to Las Ramblas/touristy area, which I didn't find as charming. The only thing that I wish I would have realized is that the flat is up 4 levels of stairs (this is likely listed in the description/mentioned in reviews and I probably missed it!). There is a lift, but it was out of order on the bottom level; and even the bottom level requires you to walk up one set of stairs. Something to consider if you are traveling with a pram or small children!

  Comments: This place is great. The location is perfect. Right off a very lively square with good bars and restaurants, easy walk or Metro ride to everything. And yet - VERY quiet and light, because the windows open onto light shafts and are on a relatively high floor. An offseason visit was wonderful - reasonable crowds. David is an amazing host, extremely responsive and lots of great recommendations. Comfortable beds, plenty of heat and hot water, everything you need.

  Comments: David&David’s place exceeded our expectations. It was well located in the gothic quarter and was central to everywhere you wanted to go with many metro lines close by. Their home was clean and well equipped. 2 bathrooms was a bonus. The hosts also went above and beyond to help us book a taxi very last minute and were quick to reply to our messages! We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to all.
