Neighborhood Overview: At the end of the block there is a co-op market, fabulous healthy food restaurant, and a McDonald’s. About 10 blocks away there is a 7-Eleven, Café, a small market and two other casual restaurants.

Notes: The property is fenced and gated, please keep the gates closed when not in use. This is a residential neighborhood, the neighbors are not on vacation. Quiet time after 9 PM before 8 AM. Feel free to use Beach chairs, boogie boards, Cooler, and Beach toys. Please rinse sand off before storing. There is an outdoor shower and available, please rinse out sand before showering inside. There is a washer and dryer and clothes line available for your use. Please shake sand from towels and clothes before laundering.

Transit: We highly recommend getting a rental car. We do have great bus service on the island, but having a car gives the most flexibility and ease. We are half hours drive from the airport, Pearl Harbor, and Waikiki. There is great swimming snorkeling and body boarding here in Waimanalo, as well as Sea life Park and Chief’s luau. Sometimes the conditions are perfect for stand up paddle boarding, beginning surfing, and kayaking.

    Comments: Conveniently located 30 seconds walking distance from the ocean! A few minute walk to an awesome healthy/vegan cafe!! Kitchen is well equipped! We ran out of coffee, so it was nice to have a McDonald's in walking distance. Very quiet and relaxing neighborhood. The entrance gate is also nice for privacy/security. This home has a modern (and large) kitchen. The ceilings are high vaulted. Ceiling fans and stand fan is very helpful during those hot days!

    Comments: Loved the big, open concept kitchen, living and dining room. Master is very spacious and kitchen well equipped. The space is all on one level, and opens to the lanais and front yard, which was great for the young kids in our group. And of course the beach is only a few hundred yards away and is awesome!

    Comments: Karin was a great host, she met us at check-in and was very friendly and kind. The house was beautiful, equipped with everything, and right by the beach. I would definitely recommend staying here for a nice and relaxing vacation!

    Comments: Awesome location- was closer to the beach than I expected. The beach was family friendly but enough surf to keep us entertained. The house was clean and comfortable and perfect for our family of four. Karin was super easy to deal with and check in and out was a breeze. We can’t wait to come back.

    Comments: The location can't be beat. Just a few steps away from a beach with clear water and white sands that's practically empty. The house is much bigger than the photos give it credit for. We had a great stay and Karin was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

    Comments: This is a wonderful home that gave our family an amazing get away. While we are from Hawaii, escaping to waimanalo and the kalama beach house allowed us to spend the quality time with each other and our Children home from college. The HUGE backyard was a favorite of our 5 year old son and we spent tons of time playing catch and running around. The beach is a wonderful beach and gave us plenty of room for morning walks. Mahalo for the instant responses and kind hospitality. We will definitely return!!!

    Comments: The perfect quiet location steps to the beach. A bit tight for a group of 6, but we enjoyed spending time in the front yard so much! Great communication and easy check-in/check-out. We used the kitchen a good deal. This is an easy house to feel right at home. Would definitely stay there again!

    Comments: This house is charming and so close to an amazingly quiet beach. It fit a family of 5 very easily. The landscape was beautiful and peaceful to wake up to ocean sounds and birds that love the many trees in the yard. Would definitely stay here again.

    Comments: The pictures do not do this place justice! We stayed here for my brother's wedding which was happening around 20 minutes away. We wanted to be further from the hustle and bustle and this was the perfect spot. My brother's wife is from the island and they spent most of their time coming to the beach that we were able to walk just steps to cause it's her favorite. As for the (Website hidden by Airbnb) spacious, quite and the grounds are beautiful. We utilized the full kitchen with cooking breakfasts every morning before walking to the beach. Loved being able to utilize the chairs, cooler, boogie boards and towels. Made it that much more fun. Wonderful stay!

    Comments: This location can not be beat! This beach house is literally steps from the nicest beach in Oahu. Even on a Sunday the beach is still very private compared to the mayhem in Waikiki. We will definitely go back again. Our host Karen was very attentive to our needs and even brought some of her horses down so my 8 year old could visit them. Such a nice touch!!
