  Comments: Eugene was a great host and prompt with communications. His place is clean and conveniently located waking distance to 2 subway stations. Three flight of stairs are not an easy task if you have a heavy luggage and a fan is a must for these summer nights. I'm sure I found a new friend on Eugene.

  Comments: I never meet Eugene, Randy was our go to guy. He was very nice, helpful and overall that really contributed to our stay. If you don't mind sharing space, bathroom, etc, and want to spend alot of time at museums, central park, etc. Certainly consider this apartment.

  Comments: Had a great stay at Eugenes place. The flat is lovely and the flat is super cozy yet spacious. Public transport is nearby (116th and 125th) which makes it easy and fast to go downtown. The area has many nice options for food and bars and the flat is just next to Columbia. I never met Eugene personally but he has been very responsive, helpful and checked in regularly. His flatmate Julian has been the best and was helpful at all times and recommended some great spots to go to in nyc. Would definitely recommend this place and go there again any time!

It has so many different restaurants around to try and it is super close to transportation. Eugene answered all my questions quickly and with grade advice. I had an excellent stay!

Brunch places in the neighborhood were nice too. Eugene is such a great host! Not only that he makes sure that you don't need anything, but also he gives a lot of great recommendations for super nice places in New York.   Comments: My two children (18 and 21) had a great stay at Eugene's place. They found the apartment clean, comfortable and within easy walking distance to the nearest subway - with only a short subway ride to the centre of Manhattan it was in an excellent location. Eugene was very kind and ready to help in any way he could as well as being interesting and easy to chat to. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in New York.

  Comments: Nice quiet neighbourhood. I didn't get to meet Eugene but from the way he communicated with me throughout my stay, I can tell he's a very cool person, very helpful too. I felt at home staying here, not to mention safe. The closest subway to my knowledge is 125 st. It's a 10 mins walk, something you might want to think about if you have heavy luggage. Otherwise, it's a nice walk, passing through shops and parks. Bed is very comfortable, very quiet bedroom, and relatively spacious too. Love this place.

  Comments: Great place near Columbia. Eugene was very friendly, and the room was clean and spacious. Was familiar with the area so this wasn't an issue for us but if you're not familiar with NYC, be aware it can take anywhere from 25-50 minutes to get downtown on the subway.

  Comments: Me and my girlfriend enjoyed very much to stay in your airbnb, specially with your tips for restaurants in the area. The apartment is very cozy, kitchen and living room amazing. The bedroom is also very good, incredible bed/sheets. The only attention pint is that there's only one bathroom in the apt. We didn't had any particular problems with it, but one could be surprised with a line to use the bathroom.

  Comments: Eugene is by far the best Airbnb host I have ever met. And I’ve met many. Most don’t live up to theIr listing’s expectations. Eugene surpassed all expectations. He went above and beyond to make sure I made it to his apartment and even arranged for his co-host Edmond to help carry my luggage up to the unit. Both hosts are so kind and personable. For the first time I felt like my hosts genuinely cared about me and my contentment. It was truly refreshing to spend time with them! The bed in room 1 was very comfy and the sheets were so soft. The room was very tidy and had a raised desk with a matching IKEA stool. In addition to the breakfast-in-bed tray, there’s a hairdryer, full length mirror, and a bit of closet space and hangers. Because I was in town for dissertation research, the setup was absolutely ideal. The location is removed from the chaos of Midtown, but is only about 20-30 minutes away via subway (that is, when the trains aren’t delayed; NYC public transit’s fault entirely). Morningside Park is nearby—perfect for getting in a morning walk or run. If I could live here, I would. If I could rate 10 stars, I would. I WILL and back!

  Comments: I enjoyed staying at Eugene’s place. The location was perfect, since I was visiting my daughter at Barnard. The cozy but contemporary apartment reminded me of my student days because Eugene, his roommate and the other guest would come and go and hang out in the kitchen and living room. Comfortable, clean bedroom. Try Maxx Cafe around the corner, as well as the little basement bakery a couple doors west of the apartment.

  Comments: The stay was superb from all aspects. 1. Location is very convenient. It is within 10min of walking distance to 125th st sub stations, yes both of them with train 1 and ABCD. A and D are the express trains that only stops once between the nearest station and times square. There are groceries 3min walk away. Italian, Chinese, and Sushi restaurants are right at the corner of the block as well. Oh, it takes 10-30min for most food deliveries to get to your door after ordering. There are uber drivers all over Manhattan ready for delivery. Oh, if you are here for the music school auditions.. Needless to say, you are literally living next to the school. 2. The apartment is clean and spacious. It is a newly renovated historical building. Our room is just as the pictures shown on airbnb. Shower, heater and etc. are working in great conditions so no need to worry about those.(well, considering the price, you might wonder) Oh, two bathrooms with showers come in handy. Never had to wait for anyone to use one when needed. 3. Laundry experience is beyond my expectations. Actually unlocked a whole new world for me as I used to do my own laundry living in Vancouver. The laundried clothes are usually just thrown into my clean cloth basket except for those that have to be hanged dry. But here in New York, they can pick up/delivery at your door. And they fold your clothes for you! Neat. All for a very reasonable price. 4. Eugene's hospitality is just another bonus on top of all the above experiences. Very responsible and friendly host. Overall 11/10. Would definitely return if ever getting a chance to revisit NYC. 再用中文简介下好咯, 本人加拿大留学毕业后在温哥华工作. 此行和老婆一起来纽约玩, 整体感觉非常好. 房东Eugene人很好, 有什么事情都可以商量询问. 房间所处地理位置不能算曼哈顿最繁华的地段但绝对是交通生活非常便利. 具体来熟悉了地铁线路就知道了. 房间内也很干净, 设施齐全住着很舒服. 洗衣服比想象中要方便得多, 也很便宜. 另外房东也是年轻人, 在这里住的时间内, 也有很多留学生以及五湖四海的访客, 大家都很聊得来, 晚上一起小聚畅谈也非常开心. 你也可以跟Eugene约好晚上一起体验纽约的留学生夜生活~~ (当然不能保证, 看具体他的安排咯.. 我在住期间另一个室友表示很high) 希望有机会回来纽约玩. 下次还会来这里的. 完全的满分. 有兴趣可以自己看下上半部分英文的翻译咯 更细节些 总之纽约之旅来这里你值得拥有.

Perfect location by the lovely Morningside Park, simple to walk to Central Park, and easy to get on the subway to get into Midtown. Thought the little directional labels in the kitchen and bathroom as well as the nightlights on the bedroom doors were nice touches. The cat is insanely adorable. Our stay here really made our time in NYC perfect.
