  Comments: The stay went extremely smoothly - Tom and his associates gave us a very detailed briefing and made sure that any of our questions were answered. We found the room comfortable, clean, and an accurate match to the listing. The number of bathrooms were no issue at all even though it seems like the place was fully occupied during our stay. There is also a well equipped kitchen, which is convenient for both cooking and reheating leftovers/take-out. The neighbourhood is fun and convenient (lots of restaurants, and close to the subway). Overall a very pleasant experience, and I would highly recommend this place.

  Comments: This is a share flat but we rarely saw other people. Both beds were large enough for 2 6'4 Aussie guys and the air con was great on hot NYC nights. The washing machine and dryer were brand new and very handy also. We didn't use the kitchen except for a few bottles of water etc but its huge and you could cook big meals if you wanted. The location is amazing if you like bars, restaurants, shopping etc. Youre right on the number 6 subway train which goes north to south in Manhattan and is easy to catch. If youre going to NYC for a short time dont try and save money and stay in Brooklyn or elsewhere. Get the real experience and stay somewhere like this in Manhattan. Its a very safe and clean neighborhood. We loved it!

  Comments: Very welcome guest at first. There is noise from the street and neighborhood. The place is quiet and you feel safety. Bathrooms are cleaned and kitchen well equipped.The area is very pleasant lot of restaurant and bars around the corner. A place to rest couple of days.

  Comments: Me and 3 friends stayed here for a long weekend and it exceeded our expectations. Great place to stay if you want to get around easily with great restaurants nearby. Tom's associates Ann and Yuki were really friendly and thorough. The place also offered free toiletries to use. Overall we had a fantastic time!

  Comments: The apartment was really nice. It was very professionally handled, yet it made me feel very very welcome. My contact person was always available to help me and paying attention to their phone and replied to my questions in time. The apartment was very quiet and provided us with everything we needed for our visit, and it is incredibly well located in the city, close to a bunch of different train stations, food, bars, etc. Its really great! I highly recommend staying here, I totes would in the future.

  Comments: Location is great and apartment is very clean but the host is very strict and took a picture of my photo id + said it is mandatory to sign an additional agreement when I arrived. I wanted to keep good relations so I signed but this is not what I expected after all was agreed on airbnb. Moreover, it was very difficult to communicate with the associate that welcomed us and thus ask questions or make any changes. I got at least ten emails all with very strict language

  Comments: Great Location and Strict Rules--It offers basic amenities, super-clean facility, and great location in terms of markets, restaurants, and major transit, though it was noisy at night on weekends. Caveat: This is an impersonal place. For example, the first message I got from the owner ends with: "The apartment is " NO Visitor", however $30 additional cost /night/person is no problem, otherwise not allowed even one second." Not only that, I got this same message--'not allowed even one second'--at least five times in writing and in person. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars and my enthusiasm!

  Comments: Хорошее расположение: близко супермаркеты 24 часа, метро, парки, закусочные. В пешей доступности центр и центральные скверы, минут 20-30 пешком до основных достопримечательностей. Шумновато, если вы любитель поспать подольше. Будьте готовы в 7-8 утра проснуться. Вы почти не пересекаетесь с другими гостями, много удобств: 3 ванных комнаты.

  Comments: The rooms are big (for NY standards) with comfy beds, the bathrooms and kitchen have everything you need and the location is absolutely great! Soho, midtown, subway station etc.. everything is super close! The apartment is just a bit sterile and impersonal. We also did not get a really warm welcome, as they set a lot of rules and obligations (e.g. forcing us to show how to open and close the doors, forcing us to take pictures of their set rules..). It was a bit derogatory and we felt like we were treated as idiots. They were very controlling, strict and inflexible in our opinion. So there's room for improvement there if you ask us.. Except for the way we were treated in the beginning, the experience was good!

  Comments: Tom's place was perfect for my recent trip to Manhattan. Check-in was pleasant, the entire house was always clean, and the location is extremely convenient if you're interested in bars, restaurants and cafes.

  Comments: Un très bon emplacement pour découvrir New York. L'appartement est vraiment proche du métro ce qui a rendu tout nos déplacements faciles. Le quartier est sympa avec pleins de restaurant. Une épicerie tout proche est ouverte 24/24 et on y trouve vraiment tout ( pas mal d'employés y parlent Français). L'appartement correspond bien à la description. L'arrivée est assez militaire avec des papiers à signer mais après tout est nickel, attention de bien arriver dans les bonnes heures . Le logement est assez récent tout est neuf dedans. Nous avons rencontré Ann et Tom qui sont très sympathiques. Pas déçu du logement pour ce premier Air Bnb.

  Comments: Das Apartment befindet sich in einer guten Lage, das von uns bezogene Zimmer war sehr einfach eingerichtet aber in Ordnung. Man muss seine Koffer in den Ersten Stock hoch tragen. Es waren immer Gäste in den anderen Zimmern hörbar, weil jeder zu unterschiedlichsten Tages- und Nachtzeiten aufgestanden ist. Die Reinigung des bezogenen Zimmers war ok, aber für den Preis hätte das Bad öfter gereinigt werden können. Tom und Ann sind zwei Asiaten und keiner der beiden ist die Person die im Profilbild zu sehen ist. Zusätzlich wollte Tom das wir ein Dokument ausfüllen wo unsere Kontaktdaten, Beruf und Person für Notfälle notiert sind. Er machte dann noch ein Foto von unseren Personalausweisen. Das fanden wir sehr merkwürdig.

  Comments: Centric and clean! Nice supermarkets (Whole Foods about 5 min walking), restaurants and bars across the street. The host was always present to my needs and the apartment (room, bathroom and kitchen) was always clean which makes me feel really comfortable. I will definitely come back when I travel back to NYC!

  Comments: The room is very small, the second bed is a uncomfortable cheap Ikea sofa bed, that takes all the room once unfolded. No decoration whatsoever, the place was cold, and looks like it's designed to be as cheap as possible. Don't get mistaken, that room is not in someone's appartement, it's a building designed to be hosting airBnB full time and make money out of it. If only the hosts could just decorate a little bit and make people feel at home, that would negate that feeling. The location is great, but that room number F is too small for 3 people. The AC unit is very noisy, there is no lamp on the night stand. The place is extremely clean, including the bathrooms.

  Comments: I stayed at Tom's place with my fifteen year old son. The apartment is super-clean and the location is perfect for getting around in the city. The neighborhood is lively and there is most certainty not a lack of restaurants! Tom's associate, Ann, met us right on time. She was very friendly giving us good tips on what to do and where to eat. I would definitely recommend staying at Tom's place.

  Comments: Tom’s place is in a great location in East Village. Nami and Ann greeted us and were super friendly. Ann was so sweet and even bought me cough drops because I was sick. HOWEVER, the rules posted all over the apartment were a little too much for me and the no guests was an issue... I was sick and a local friend who I’ve known for 17 years escorted me back to the place. He came in for a brief moment and this older Asian gentleman started yelling at him telling him to get out and that he was going to call the police... it was very aggressive. Also very suspicious on why they don’t allow any visitors whatsoever. Although Nami and Ann were very amicable and polite, the crazy strict rules are not worth another stay at this place.

  Comments: Pros: awesome location! Walking distance to many great restaurants and markets. The house and the room are neat and clean. House rule is ok since the only purpose is to keep everything in order. I had a late checkin, arriving around 10:40pm at night but the host was waiting for me. I really appreciate his waiting. Cons: The room #F is super super hoooooot! Even when I open the window, still feel the room is like 100F inside, as in winter... There is noice from somewhere (maybe heater) and is louder if you open the window. The bed covering is cheap, no soft touch. In all, the room is matching its price, no surprise. Good for its location.

  Comments: Tom has the perfect location for a stay in NYC. I just happen to love the East Village, it’s my favorite neighborhood. I stayed in the F room for one week during winter season. The size of the room was perfect for me, traveling alone. It would be also fine for 2 people, more than that in my opinion would be a little too tight. Only if one really needs to save money. The temperature of the apartment was fine and no noise from the streets in that room. We can hear bedroom neighboors, but there weren’t many people there during my stay. The only negative side of the place is that it’s not very friendly... No warm welcomes, charming decoration or NYC guides, maps or books to share with the guests. Traveling alone I Would have enjoyed it, but I guess ”this is NY”, deal with it, and Im sure Tom has his reasons to put up cameras and several rules written all over the apartment. I can see that some guests have no education or respect for others. I got an early check in for a $59 fee. And the day before my check out I got an email requesting that I left the apartment before or at 10am the latest. Overall my experience was fine and I would definately stay there again. thanks!
