  Comments: We spent 2 night in the very nice and confortable room very well located in the center of Porto. Only 2 min away from Sao Bento train station! The separated bathroom was cleaned everyday. Fred was very welcoming and flexible with the arrival time even if we were late. I can only recommend Fred's rooms! We really enjoyed our stay in Porto.

  Comments: Had a lovely stay for three nights at Fred's place close to Torre Clerigos. I would come again and recommend it to anyone who is not bothered about sharing a bathroom (if you are, look twice at the room you're renting, as some have en-suit bathrooms and some don't). Bombarda is just one of the several rooms for rent in the same building, functioning as a small cozy guest place. Everything is very clean and the small included breakfast was a welcome surprise. Fred was pleasant and helpful so do ask him for tips!

  Comments: Freds apartment in Porto was an amazing experience, typical House style, but in a beautiful way renovated - newly construced. The room itself was small because of the typical house size, but it felt very comfortable. We had a kitchen, a living room and a shared bath(beautifully built). The house is in direct town center, easy access to all the important places to see. Maria was giving us the keys, and we got an extra key so we could leave our luggage for the next day. Thank you guys!

  Comments: Mitigés.... Appartement propre, sobre, neuf, silencieux et idéalement placé. Petit déjeuner correct. Fred parle bien français. Cendant flexibilité sur les horaires de check in à revoir ( soit 14h soit 19h sans compter le retard de Fred ), donc quand on arrive en pleine après midi avec des gros sacs après 8h de bus on est ravis de devoir poireauter 3h ... sachant que d'après Fred il y à "20 entrées par jour et que donc on ne peut pas s'adapter à chacun" ... nous avons donc eu du mal a comprendre qu'avec un débit pareil il ne soit pas justifié qu'il y ait quelqu'un de disponible sur place dans l'après midi pour nous accueillir... De plus impossibilité de se connecter au wifi et tv qui ne fonctionne pas, 5eme étage ..

  Comments: Fred's house is really central located and you can walk from here to every highlight in Porto. We enjoyed our stay at this Airbnb, it was very neat and modern. The only downside is that it's on the top floor, which is 73 steps up.

  Comments: Fred's House is a very simple and plain, recently renewed old building in Rua de Trás. Bombarda is a comfortable little room, which shares the bathroom with the other room facing the Rua. Common areas, including the bathroom, the kitchen and the living room are cleaned every day. The position of the building is perfect for starting the exploration of the city, looking for a café or just wanting to get lost. Fred is very organized and gives you the opportunity to leave the luggages in the building on the check-out day.

Ich kann Fred's Unterkunft für einen Porto Aufenthalt nur weiterempfehlen und werden beim nächsten Portugal Urlaub definitiv wieder bei Fred einchecken :-)

  Comments: Freds house is very centrally located, modern and well furnished. The room is quite little but really lovely, so we were really happy with the BOMBARDA room. We were a little bit unlucky with a building site directly opposite our window and the WIFI did unfortunately not work. Still we would recommend Freds house to everyone who wants to explore the city of Porto (it's the best starting point), but obviously not for anyone seeking for quietness... Thank you Fred!

  Comments: O espaço é agradável como no anúncio, o Fred tem um sistema de check in que nos possibilitou chegar no horário que pretendíamos e entrar sem problemas. Tivemos problemas com wi-fi, que no anúncio dizia ter em todos os ambientes, porém no nosso quarto não funcionava, tinhamos que descer no living, que fica no primeiro andar, para usar. Ahh, o quarto que ficamos é no quarto (4) andar. Depois de nadar por Porto, com suas ladeiras, e subir e descer escadas pra usar internet, não foi muito agradável. Ficamos dois dias sem solução problema, que foi comunicado assim que chegamos. Fora isso, tem uma cozinha bem equipada e fica no coração do centro histórico de Porto, dá pra fazer tudo a pé.

  Comments: Die Unterkunft ist super schön und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles war sauber und die Lage ist einfach nur perfekt um die Stadt zu erkunden. Von Freds House aus kann man so gut wie alles zu Fuß erreichen. Leider war es an den Wochentagen morgens schon etwas laut, da sich momentan eine Baustelle direkt gegenüber befindet. Doch der Ausblick von diesem Zimmer aus, macht alles wieder wett.

  Comments: Freds house is in the best location, close to the main sights but also in an area where you get a felling of the local life. Maria was there everyday to clean the place specially the comun areas. The room was very clean, maybe a little small but it had space for the luggage. The room was super light as well so that was very nice. On the second day we ask Fred for some extra covers since it was a bit cold and he brought one for that night, so even though we never met him cause the place is more like a guess house, he doesn't actually live there, he was always aware of what was happening. Overall it was a really good experience, like a said is more like a guess house not the whole local host experience, but I was ok with it, if you are looking for some privacy then this is a really good choice. I'm not sure wether there were bathrooms in the other dormitories because there is only one toilet and two showers in the house, (thats what I saw) we were there for december so there was hardly any other guesses but I'm not sure how it would work in the summer, with the house full of people, so you might want to check that out. But well at the end we had a really good stay, Maria is really nice and finally make sure to follow Freds advices about the places to go. Thanks Fred we definitely recommend this place.

  Comments: beautiful, typical "Porto stye" small & tall house right in the center, very clean rooms and bathrooms, all is brand new. small but efficient and very minimalistic rooms, hence not much space for luggage. a small kitchen and living room is part of the common area. top rooms require walking up 5 flights of stairs. location really could not be better for exploring Porto on foot - so don't bring a car!

  Comments: Fred war ein sehr netter Gastgeber und hat bei Problemen immer schnell geholfen und war gut zu erreichen. Maria war auch toll und sehr nett - es hat uns sehr gut hier gefallen. Allerdings muss man zum Raum Bombarda viele Stufen hinaufgehen, also ist es vielleicht nichts für Leute, die nicht so gut zu Fuß sind Ansonsten war alles super! Die Lage könnte nicht besser sein und gegenüber vom Hostel ist eine nette Bar mit tollem Wein und leckeren Desserts

  Comments: This is a hostel/air bnb mixture, meaning that we never met Fred, so it was a bit less personal. We shared a bathroom with the guests on other floors and had our own private room, much like an upscale hostel. The room was very charming with great natural light and views. Next time I would rather spring for the room with the private bath because those rooms have a better view, beautiful stone wall and a nice private bath. The common spaces (kitchen, living room) were comfortable and very clean. Maria, the house cleaner, was kind and helpful. Overall great experience!

  Comments: Semplicissimo da raggiungere, l'appartamento di Fred è una palazzina su 4 piani con una cucina accessoriata e un soggiorno, 5 stanze e un bagno sempre pulito e fornito in comune. Da questa posizione potete raggiungere tutti i luoghi principali a piedi che è il modo migliore per visitare la splendida Porto, fatta di strade, stradine e piccole vie in saliscendi. Mi è spiaciuto non conoscere Fred di persona, ma ci ha riempito di consigli e cose da fare via mail. Un punto strategico per Porto.

  Comments: We arrived in Porto 8am and was allowed to check in and put down our bags! There is Maria cleaning the home everyday so the shared washroom and kitchen area is really clean! Lots of glasses for you to use if you want to buy wine and bring it home. Shower pressure is really strong. Great location tons of food and bars around, close to train station ! Thanks Fred !

  Comments: What a great place to stay! Located in the middle of the centre so you see everything easily by foot. It was really modern, clean and quiet. Nice showers (there are 2 showers to share with 5 rooms) and kitchen with everything you could need. Supermarket and different bakerys around the corner for breakfast. Go and have dinner at Taberna Folias de Baco just around the corner or at Cantino de avillez (make sure to book a table for this one). Altough it's a building with several rooms it was peaceful and clean. Highly recommend this place!

  Comments: Belle maison, très bien située, ultra confortable et très propre. Rapport qualité-prix imbattable. Sauf que, J'aurais aimé rencontré quelqu'un pour nous accueillir, cela m'aurais évité de me tromper de chambre. J'ai mal lu le nom de la chambre dans la réservation et j'ai été gêné de cette erreur pour les autres occupants. Pour nous l'esprit Airbnb ce n'est pas une maison sans les habitants, car c'est sans âme où on va et vient comme un hostel ou auberge de jeunesse. Fred n'a pas été très sympa au téléphone quand il a appris que nous avions pris une chambre qui n'était pas la notre. Cela n'excuse pas tout, surtout quand on est un businessman, il du avoir plus de tact. Cela a gâché ma première nuit de voyage !

  Comments: The house is well located enter main sights of Porto, nearby the bars and restaurants around the university and easy to reach by public transport. The house offers a spacious living room and a well equipped Kirchen, enough for preparing easy dishes even for a group of people and a relaxed glass of wine on the couch. Everything is tastefull furnished. However storing your luggage in the room easily gets challenging if you travel with more than cabin baggage. So perfect for a short trip, probably a bit cosy on a more excessive journey.

  Comments: Fred's house is the coolest place to stay! It's a great location, a clean room, an easy-going host with very easy to follow directions... what more could you ask for? Fred was so accommodating with check in and check out times and he allowed us to leave our luggage there once we checked out which was such a help!! The room and bathroom is super clean and I'm very OCD but I was a happy camper at Fred's house. Depending on which room you get, you may have to walk up a few flights of stairs which is normal in these areas... totally worth it!

  Comments: Fred's House was great. It is a Guesthouse with 5 rooms, some with private bathrooms and some that share a communal bathroom. We were in the Bombarda room on the top floor. It's a very light space and the design is great. The view is amazing. There are two showers in the bathroom. Unfortunately the showerheads were very loose, so when the water was turned in fully the pressure was a little to much and the water sprayed everywhere. We tried to apologize to Maria the cleaning lady for the extra work, but unfortunately her englich wasn't too great. Maybr that could be fixed so it doesn't happen to other guests in the future. Other than that, everything was great and we had absolutely nothing to complain about.

  Comments: Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und modern. Alles im Haus war sauber und die Lage ist sehr zentral und somit perfekter Ausgangspunkt für eine Stadterkundung. Man kann Porto´s Sehenswürdigkeiten sowie Bars und Restaurants sehr gut fußläufig vom Haus aus erreichen. Täglich kommt eine Putzfrau und macht die Gemeinschaftsräume sauber. Die Unterkunft ist absolut empfehlenswert.

We shared bathroom with the rest guests in apartment, but still we have a lot od privacy there and we didn't meet them there so many. The best thing on Fred's accomodation was localita!everything was so closed!we enjoyed so much and we will be back in Fred´s house next visit in Porto. Obrigado! M&B

  Comments: Fred's house is with very good location, easy to train station and anywhere in the city. We didn't even buy any metro tickets during the stay, just visited the city by walking. The house was very cozy and clean, comfortable for staying couple of days. The only weak point I could say is the room is on 4th floor(5樓), and no elevator, so if you have a huge luggage would be not convenient. Highly recommend and would love to stay there again.

  Comments: Sehr schönes Zimmer mit Aussicht über der Stadt. Für eine Städtereise in Porto perfekt, da man von dem Haus alles sehr schnell zu Fuß erreichen kann. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind direkt nebenan. Wir haben leider nur zwei Tage in Porto verbracht dafür war die Unterkunft aber bestens geeignet. Sehr sauberes Gemeinschaftsbad! Die Küche war auch sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen :)

  Comments: Great location, right in the city centre. Quiet street and no cars. We stayed at Bombarda room, on the top floor, with amazing views over Porto skyline. Room was a bit small, but still okay for 2 people. The only minus was not having Wifi in the room, only in the living area.

  Comments: Fred was a very friendly host and communication was great. Although we did not meet in person, his instructions were very clear and was available at all times if we needed anything. The room we had was beautiful and clean and sharing the bathroom really isn’t a problem as didn’t run in to any of the other guests. So all in all it was very private experience. Location is perfect, near the main station and many restaurants, bars and super markets near by. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

  Comments: The best thing about these rooms is the superb location, it's literally 2 minutes from a number of the main tourist sites and about 10 minutes walk from the river. Everything was super clean and we had a nice sense of privacy and seclusion in our individual room (with a view). The bathroom and kitchen were shared but to be honest, when we were there, there was a real sense of calm and we didn't actually see any other guests. We didn't meet Fred in the end, so no local tips to speak of, but as our stay was only for one night this room suited our needs perfectly.

Also checkin in and out was easy. But to be honest, I would not return to Fred's house because it is more of a hotel than a personal and cosy airbnb, which is more that I am looking for when I am on a city trip. But if you are just looking for a super clean, super central bedroom, this is your place!

  Comments: Wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt in dieser Unterkunft! Vor allem die Lage ist wunderbar und es sind unheimlich schöne Räumlichkeiten. Da sich unser Zimmer im 5. Stock befand ist sie jedoch sicherlich nichts für Lauf-Faule. Das einzige was ich verändern würde sind die Check in Bedingungen. Die Schlüssel sind von außen zugänglich. D.h. Jeder der darum weiß kann problemlos in das Haus gelangen. Unser Fazit: Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen und haben es sehr genossen !

  Comments: Das Zimmer von Fred war in perfekter Ausgangslage gelegen. Wir hatten das Zimmer im obersten Stockwerk, hier war der Anstieg mit Koffer etwas schwierig, was aber mit einem schönen Ausblick über Porto‘s Dächer belohnt wird. Das Zimmer war etwas klein aber dafür super schön eingerichtet. Betten waren bequem. Das Gemeinschafts Bad, welches man sich noch mit einem anderen Zimmer im Haus teilt war jeden Tag blitze sauber :). Wir danken Fred für die super Unterkunft und einen tollen Aufenthalt in Porto.

  Comments: The three days we stayed at Fred's have been simply amazing. The house is located super central and you can walk to everything downtown and get lost in the little side streets of Porto. Fred is a super hospitable guy and was simply amazing when we faced unforeseeable trouble with our room by coming up with a quick solution. On top of that Fred's local tips gave us nice inspirations on what to do around the city. The rooms are located in a nice narrow house in the city center - be aware to carry your luggage a few steps up to your room! Moreover having the possibility to leave our luggage on day of departure for longer has proven to be super convenient for us. :) We will come back!

Von den anderen Gästen im Haus haben wir nichts mitbekommen. Das Zimmer befindet sich im obersten Stockwerk des Hauses und es ist über ein etwas engeres Treppenhaus zu erreichen. Sonst hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. Für ein Wochenendtrip ist die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!

Rua de tras en travaux, donc un peu bruyante, mais c'est Porto! super boulangerie dans la rue Dos Clerigos pour le petit dej'! Fred n'etait pas là à notre arrivée, mais est passé le 1er soir pour voir si tout allait bien. Bref, nous avons aimé et recommandons ce logement.

The location was perfect. It was center of the city. The Fred's house is a whole building that seems like hostel style. There are 5 different rooms, 1 shared bathroom (1 toilet, 2 shower booths), a kitchen and a living room in the building. The Bombarda room is located the last floor, no lift, so if you have a big luggage it can be problem. But because I have only small luggage, it was fine. The bathroom is downstair of Bombarda. Everything was very clean because the cleaning lady makes it everyday. She is also very nice. The best part of this room was the windows. I could see the city every morning through the window, and it made me very happy.

  Comments: This is a self service hostel type accommodation. It was the right price and a fine location, but a bit impersonal. Access to the key only works with small hands, so I had to flag down a random woman to help me get in. Once inside it was clean and bright with all the necessities. There were others staying that I heard but never saw. Great for a group when you might take multiple rooms and make it your own. As a solo traveler it was a rather lonely stay!

  Comments: 위치는 정말 완벽해요. 상벤투역에서 걸어서 매우 가깝습니다! 여기저기 걸어다니기 너무 좋아요. 단 저희가 불편했던 점은 맨 꼭대기 층에 방을잡아주셔서 무거운 캐리어 옮기기 불편했어요ㅜㅜ. 프레드가 체크인시에는 옮기는 걸 도와줘서 너무 고마웠지만요! 주방도 잘되있고, 아기자기합니다. 단 큰 방을 원한다면 부적절할 수 있어요! 호스트가 너무 친절하고 인상깊어서 후기남깁니다.ㅎㅎ 프레드 번창하세요!
