  Comments: Ilknur was a great host. We were the first to stay in this room, and so she invited any feedback about it. We had trouble with internet at first, and right away Ilknur adjusted and made sure we had a strong signal. We then had a bit of trouble with the refridgerator in the room, and Ilknur arranged for us to switch rooms. All very minor issues and the host responded right away and very generously took care of us to make sure we had everything we needed. It is a great location, just a short walk from Istiklal, and you have cafes and bakery across the street. It is clean and comfortable. I highly recommend!

  Comments: What a fantastic find! The studio is a cozy basement apartment with new furnishings and housewares. We had everything we needed for our 4 day stay. The location was fantastic! It is right down the street from a huge shopping and cafe district with tons of nightlife, but the studio is located just far enough not to pick up any of the noise or chaos. Our first day (a Sunday) the was a lovely neighborhood market with tons of produce. There is a bakery and grocery store right across the street. Ilknur was a wonderful hostess! She left us kitchen essentials, even helped us find a scale so we could weigh our baggage for the flight, and was extremely friendly and willing to help us out with anything we needed! The previous person mentioned problems with the Internet and fridge, but these were resolved by the time we arrived. This is one of the best deals in Istanbul!

  Comments: I stayed in Ilknur's apartment building in late June/early July, and I would highly recommend staying here! First, the location - this building is located in a non-touristy neighborhood but is only about a three minute walk to Istiklal Cad, a great pedestrian shopping district with all sorts of restaurants (both delicious Turkish food and more international options). The walk to Istiklal is a bit steep, but it is so convenient to the apartment. I was travelling alone and felt safe in this neighborhood (though I didn't go out late at night). From Istiklal, you can easily take the Tunel and then the tramvay to get to the big tourist sites in Sultanahmet. When I arrived, Ilknur upgraded me to another room on the first floor, so I cannot comment on studyo 7 specifically. However, all the rooms look pretty similar - the building has been recently renovated, so all of the furniture, kitchen, bathroom, etc. is brand new, and everything was extremely clean. The room was exactly what I wanted when on a trip - small (a studio apartment with combined bed, sitting, and kitchen area), affordable, and everything worked and was clean and comfortable. The bathroom worked well, and the shower was substantially larger than what you normally find in a Turkish hotel! The kitchen was stocked with basic cookware and dishes. On Sunday there was a huge street market around the corner from the apartment, where you can buy delicious produce for very inexpensive prices. The wireless internet worked well. There is no air conditioning in the apartment, but Ilknur provided a fan for me when I asked for it, and I was very comfortable with the fan. Ilknur was very nice and gave good advice about the area. She really wants her guests to be comfortable and takes their suggestions into account. I really enjoyed my stay in this apartment and would definitely recommend it to anyone I know travelling to Istanbul!

Et finalement, nous avons décidé de rester 4 jours supplémentaires : Istanbul est une ville incroyable et nous avions tout le confort possible dans l'appartement loué par Ilknur. Tous les meubles, la décoration sont quasi-neufs (les ustensiles de cuisine, le lit, la douche). Les murs ont été repeint récemment et le ventilateur a été très apprécié en plein mois de juillet ! Quand nous sommes arrivés dans l'appartement, du café, du thé, et de l'eau en bouteille nous attendais dans les placards, du savon dans la salle de bain. De plus, Ilknur nous a donné quelques conseils qui nous ont permis de profiter à 100% d'Istanbul. C'était un peu comme si on était dans un hôtel, calme, amical situé dans un quartier aussi sympathique que populaire.   Comments: The apartment we stayed was small, but sufficient, very well equipped (especially the kitchen) and very clean. The apartment is in a quiet street not far away from Istiklal and many other place that are off the beaten track the regular tourist would take - as a photographer I really enjoyed wandering the streets of Tarlabasi which is not far away. lknur is a very nice and welcoming host, helpful and provides good tips.   Comments: It's the perfect location if you want to visit Istanbul! You can reach Istanbul main Street in 5 minutes walking, the bus to the airport in within a 10-minute walk. The apartment is perfect if you travel alone, but it can be a good solution also for a couple. No noise in the area, so you can sleeo very well.   Comments: Ilknur was such an amazingly warm and generous host. On arrival, she sat down with us for 10 minutes to explain a little bit about the area, and give us a run down on what was near by. We got some great restaurant recommendations from her! The studio was small but clean, and in a good location in trendy Beyoglu. The apartment block is a 5 min walk to Isitklal Avenue with its shopping, restaurants and bars. You can even walk to Sultanahmet if you're feeling energetic, there's plenty to see along the way. All in all, our stay here helped make our first trip to Istanbul a great one. Would definitely stay here again!

She's a great person , very warm and wonderful host and more importantly has a really cute service apartment. The area is perfect too ( 5 min walk to one of the busiest streets of Istanbul and what fun that street is . It is quite small but has everything you need: kitchen, utensils to cook, bathroom, bed, table, and is very well located (close to one of the busiest street of Istanbul).   Comments: I stayed 5 nights at this lovely place. It's located near taksim square and in a few minutes walk you will be in the centre of Istanbul. It's a cozy place, but when Ilknur has space you get a bigger room. My and my friend stayed the first nights in a bigger room and the last three nights in a smaller room. Ilknur is very helpfull and had lots of ideas to do. We didn't met Ilknur but we contacted with the Phone from te lady from the house. The lady is also very nice!! I'll go back when I visit Istanbul again.

  Comments: We stayed six nights in Istanbul in this wonderful studio. We were very happy to find it as expected: small but very cosy. We were quite surprised that the pictures show everything as it is, clean, nice and practical. We had a room in the third floor and we didn't hear lot of other renters. The noises from the street near by were quite loud while the windows were open - but that shouldn't be a surprise since it is Istanbul and not some countryside-place. The location of the appartments is awesome, in less than five minutres you're in downtown Istanbul. We had a very pleasant stay!

  Comments: I didn't get the pleasure of meeting İlknur, but I was able to speak with her on the phone upon arrival and she was very sweet in getting us settled in and making sure everything was okay. The house lady who also lives in the apartment building met us at our exact meeting time and showed us up to our apartment. It is a very nice, small, and quaint studio equipped with a kitchen and bathroom like shown in the pictures. The apartment was very close to the main street, Istiklal Caddesi, which was always very lively and full of life during the night. However, we found it to be quite far to walk to many of Istanbul's main sightings, which was not too ideal. We ended up taking a taxi everywhere, which seemed to be more convenient for us since we were only staying there for two days. Other than that, the apartment itself was very clean and accommodating!

Negatives: 4th floor but no lift, internet little slow for videos streaming, but ok if allowed to buffer-general surfing was smooth. My recommendation: high. I would give 8/10. Super good.

The location is great; a 5 minute walk to all of the dining, entertainment, and shopping. Very convenient to the Tunel and Sishane transportation as well. I would definitely stay here again.   Comments: First off all Ilknur: very kind person, helpful, human, very friendly, we had a problem and she did everything possible to let us be happy. She let us feel as part of the family not just a business affair a rarity. Very close from Istiklal Caddesi and from bus stop to Eminou Fatih . Located in a quiet area, near a small supermarket and a Sunday market. Apartment very well equipped, very clean and safe. We had water and sweets on our arrival. The kitchen provided with oil salt pepper sugar and a.... wine opener. The cleaning Lady of Ilknur was very sweet and helpful fantastic. I would definitely recommend the apartment and their hospitality. Thank you !

  Comments: I stayed in İlknur's studio for 3 nights. Great location to Taksim square and many restaurants and bars. Apartment was clean and just as described in the photos. İlknur gave me many recommendations and tips which I found very useful. There was a bottle of water and snack for me when I arrived which is very thoughtful since you don't drink the tab water in Turkey. The streets getting to the apartment from Taksim square are uneven and difficult to roll a suitcase down. If you take the bus from the airport to Taksim, I would then recommend taking a taxi to the apartment. It's only a 15 minute walk but to make it easier on yourself, you can take a short taxi ride. :) I had a pleasant experience and would stay with İlknur again!

She has send me a lot of information about the neighborhood and the city in advance, and had some great tips about good restaurants, transport and supermarkets for example. The room was neat and clean, and everything we needed was there. The only thing I could recommend are some earplugs cause the neighborhood was a bit noisy. The positioned in a perfect spot in the city, since it's just next to Istiklal street. I would definitely recommend this room to other people. It's a good price for a good place.

  Comments: My husband and I stayed in studio 2 for 10 days in april. The rooms are very comfortable clean and well appointed. The kitchenette is thoughtfully equipped with all essentials. Illknur is very prompt to reply to communications and helpful with directions and advice on things to do in Istanbul. The apartment is very convenient to Istiklal St and the train network. The walk across the bridge to Sultan Ahmet is only about 20 mins and heaps of interesting things to see on the way. I can recommend this good value accommodation in Istanbul

  Comments: It's really small room. But clean and cozy. It's ok, if you don't suggest to spend a lot of time inside. And you have now choice, because outside - Istanbul ;-) This apartment is right in the center in 10-15 minutes from Taksim square and near night life. Thank a lot to İlknur - careful and good hostess - for her help in finding place. It's obligatory to have a good map or navigator, because there is no street name on the wall and it's easy to loose.

  Comments: Le logement est dans un quartier bien placé, pas très loin de la place Taksim et de la bouillonnante rue Iskedal. Ilknur nous ne l'avons pas vue, tout s'est fait par mail, texto, c'est toujours plus sympathique quand on voit les personnes mais bon nous avons bien récupéré les clés et Ilknur nous avait envoyé par mail quelques infos sur le quartier : supermarchés à proximité, hammam, marché de légumes etc. Concernant le logement quelques bemols : il se situait sous le niveau de la rue, donc autant dire que les fenêtres offrent un paysage plutôt bouché et sur le palier une machine à laver collective (et un sèche-linge) utilisés la nuit peut perturber le sommeil le temps de l'essorage. Sinon, c'est petit mais fonctionnel et à un prix intéressant pour les budgets restreints.

We asked to leave our bag and she was very kind and allowed us to have a late check out which was very helpful as we were taking a night bus!! Ilknur was extremely easy to communicate with, provided us with various recommendations for things to do (and we second her recommendations of the Ciya restaurant in Kadikoy and the Bizim restaurant just down the street -- both were delicious!), and offered us any help that we could possibly need. The apartment is very small and was a bit tight for two people with luggage -- we did, however, know this coming in from the pictures, so it was nothing to complain about. In reality, the apartment looks exactly like the pictures -- you will get precisely what you expect. Ilknur was nice enough to leave us a treat on our arrival, the Internet and television worked perfectly, and the location couldn't be beat!   Comments: Small but very functional apartment in a great location. İlknur was the most helpful host I have ever come across on airbnb! Although we never met in-person, she provided lots of invaluable tips about the surrounding area. The apartment itself has everything you need and has been carefully thought out with travellers in mind. It's also very tidy, the wireless internet is fast, the bed is comfy. The only thing stopping this apartment from being perfect was the lack of air-conditioning, but there was a fan provided which helped.

  Comments: The woman who hosted us on Ilknur's behalf was very lovely. The place is quite small and a bit run down. It should be made more clear that it's a basement apartment as well. We only stayed for one of the two nights we reserved because we wanted a bigger and nicer place for our last two nights in the city. It's right for the price and if you're looking to crash and not spend much time in the place, it's perfectly fine.

  Comments: We were happy to stay in İlknur&Bülent's flat. It is small (as expected), but had everything we needed: a comfortable double bed, a small kitchen area with a fridge, an internet access, a toilet and a shower. It was clean, it is conveniently located with food shops nearby, but it is bit far from the major tourist center (Blue Mosque, St Sophie church etc.). On Sundays, there is a local market selling variety of goods from food to clothes. İlknur was very helpful, he sent us the detailed description on how to find the flat and gave us tips about local places and restaurants. The only downside we could see is that the flat was very warm, but it is a compromise we were prepared to have in the relations to the cost of renting.

The flat is just how the photos show, small but great value for where it is. The internet worked really well & Ilknur always responded quickly to any questions we had. The flat has a fan & you can leave the windows open over night so it stays quite cool at night. We really liked the neighbourhood & especially enjoyed the Sunday night market on the next street. If you want a convenient base in Istanbul at a really good price id recommend this.

If you tell exact time to check-in for them it would be nice. We enjoyed our stay is Istanbul, room was clean and equipped for all basic needs and there was a small biscuit and WiFi code on the table which made us smile and feel really good. Location of this place is more than good enough. Because it was 8 minute walk from "Taksim" square which is center of that area. Shops and restaurants nearby is very handy. There was a one more metro station "Sishane" 8 minutes walk away. Overall this was so great place for that price. If you not willing to spent much more this is a perfect place to stay.

The location is great, very close to the city center and the most popular street in Istanbul - Istiklal caddesi. If I got it right it's something like a little private hotel and everything you may need is provided by the hosts whom I unfortunately didn't meet in person. Instead there's a special lady who helps guests check in. Checking-out is also very simple and we had no problems at all. The studio looks pretty much like the pictures, the bed is big but old and uncomfortable partly because the linen is also old and scratchy. Otherwise everything was fine. We really liked it there. The room is in the centre, in the middle of a busy and alive street of Istanbul, meanwhile the room itself is very quiet. We were extremely stupid to lock the door with keys inside, making troubles for ourseleves and Ilknur first of all. The problem was solved, but still, don't repeat our problem and pay attantion not to shut the door without keys. We didn't meet Ilknur, but even n the phone she was so friendly and extremely helpful.   Comments: The apartment is as it appears. Simple, Clean, and Secure. The apartment is in a great location and is walking distance from major attractions and a cheap taxi ride from the airport. The apartment is great for one person, but two people may find it cramped. For American travelers one thing to keep in mind is if you do not have an international phone it will be impossible to contact the host once arrived at the airport or at the building to open the door. Before booking make sure that you do not have any reservation request changes because the host was not responsive in terms of accommodating my changes and seemed to avoid the question. Other then the inability to accommodate my revision to my reservation, everything is else was great.

  Comments: Квартира действительно маленькая, но достаточно уютная. Для одного человека точно подходит. Находится в 5 минутах ходьбы от популярной улицы Истикляль. Небольшие минусы, которые не сильно повлияли на мое пребывание: - пару раз с утра была чуть теплая вода, но мыться все равно можно было; - кровать в одном месте немного проваливалась, однако я это заметил, только когда сел в это место, а так спать было вполне удобно. В остальном все было отлично. Вентилятор был очень кстати, поскольку в августе в Стамбуле очень жарко. Также в квартире имелись два комплекта маленького и большого полотенец. В душе было жидкое мыло и шампунь. Все было как на фото. Кроме, разве что, настольной лампы. Что было не так важно. Самое главное - полезные советы от хозяина, которые он отправил мне в сообщении. С ними мой отдых в Стамбуле стал намного лучше!

Very convenient location with 2 grocery stores 50 meters from the apartment, istiklal street a 5 minute walk and a 10 minute walk to the Metro. Galata Tower, Tūnel and Karaköy ferry are also very close. The apartment is easy to get to from Ataturk by using the Havatas shuttle that drops near to Taksim. The apartment is small and cozy but was ideal for me since I was traveling alone. I look forward to staying here again.

Very good communication, we booked last minute and arrived couple of hours later without any trouble. it is easy to find and location is perfectly close to the center, as discribed. Room is like seen on the pictures and has everything you need and more...shampoo, towels, dishes, water, tea, spaghetti, oil, salt etc. Tv has foreign channels and in basement floor there are washing machine and dryer for common use. Street has small shops and farm market once a week. ilknur was kind to offer us bigger room with no extra charge, but we stayed in studio 7 that was smaller but less hot than big upstairs rooms. Rooms have fan but no AC, with sunny weather gets pretty hot.

Нас встретила работница дома, которая совсем не говорит по-английский и пришлось объясняться жестами. На кровати не было простыни только наматрасник. Написала об этом хозяину, чтобы принес, но он ответил лишь на последний день моего пребывания. Спала на одеяле и укрывалась своей кофтой. Очень темная комната. Утром темно, как ночью, но это не существенный минус. Плюсы: Есть все для готовки: кастрюли, сковородка, тарелки, чашки и главное, электрическая плита. В двух шагах есть супермаркеты, где можно дешево закупиться, а напротив простое кафе, где готовят вкусные завтраки. Цена. За такую комнату и расположение - это лучшая цена для бюджетного туриста. До всех достопримечательностей можно доехать максимум с двумя пересадками, иногда можно и дойти. Рядом Истикляль, а значит, что вечером будет чем заняться.

Otherwise the room is not for leaving. First of all it's in laundry floor, so the noise and smell will be during whole trip.   Comments: The place is good for a short stay. Small cozy room, pretty clean, walking distance from some of the main attraction and good communication with Ilknur. I personally didn't like the fact that my room was in the basement, often noise from the washing machines and was losing the phone reception as well

Les transports en commun ne sont pas loin Le seul bémol est la taille du studio , il est très petit, ainsi que la salle de bain.   Comments: Comfortable, secure, and inexpensive. Minimal amenities however the necessities are here. (Bathroom, kitchen, WiFi). Nearby local bus station, local eateries and markets, and close to Taksim Square. Would recommend to those looking for a simple accommodation at a great price. Also the hosts are responsive to questions and very helpful.

  Comments: The room is the same with the pictures. The location is in ghetto but It's also close to attractions. We had 2 main problems; there was a washing machine right next to room's corridor and the wifi didn't work. When we wanted to just rest, we had a troubled time because of the endless noises. The wifi didn't work and our phones also couldn't connect(because the room is in basement) so we had no connection for the whole night. I think these should be in the description. In general, the room is good for short travels and the bed was comfortable.

  Comments: I stayed at Ilknur place for 2 nights. Ilknur was very helpful in guiding me to reach the place easily. Also it was very easy to communicate with Ilknur and she responded to my queries in very quick and good way. Staying at her apartment was great as place is nice and clean and according to my expectation. Also the location of the place is very good and very close to Taksim Saqure. I would recommend staying at Ilknur place and will stay here again whenever i will visit Istanbul next time. Best wishes Ilknur!

Inoltre, l’appartamento è nel sotterraneo dell’edificio e sull’annuncio non viene specificato.   Comments: relativement déçu par l' insalubrité du logement. Pas d'isolation des fenêtres, on se croyait dehors tout en étant à l'intérieur. Il y avait pas mal d'odeur d'égout venant de la salle de bain. Nous avons même retrouvé un cafard écrasé sous le lit. il y a également la présence de quelques fourmis.

  Comments: I had an awesome stay in İlknurs "small flat". The studio is like described and very clean. Although Ilknur was not in person there to welcome me there was a very friendly turkish woman who let me in. The district where the studio is, is not overcrowded and in the evening quite enough to take a restorative sleep. The studio might be in a poor quarter of Istanbul but i felt really safe as a Single-traveling-woman. I would definetely recommend this flat :)

  Comments: Ilknur's studio located near Taksim square and it's very suitable if you arrive from Sabiha Gokçen by shutlle bus. The studio is very clean, compact, you have everything for staying and for cooking also. We stayed at December so central heating and hot water in the studio was appropriate. Bus stop, metro, many sights are very close. Ilknur always connected with us, gave good advices. We also didn't see him, lady met us and have the key. We were very glad to stay in Ilknur's studio and recommend it.
