Space: Hello! We're Caleb + Cece. We are a husband and wife photography team that calls for a bit of traveling through out the year! We converted our parents garage into our comfy dwelling space back in 2013 when we got married. Our goal was to keep life simple and focus on our passion. This also allowed for us to travel for months on end at a time more conveniently. Anyways, we have been heavily traveling for about three years and most years find ourselves gone just as much as we are home. We LOVE Airbnb and the experiences we've gained from staying at cute/quaint little homes all over the world. This inspired us to open up our personal home to welcome like minded travelers, adventurous couples, and business minded people like ourselves into our home. Neighborhood Overview: Because we live in a local Hawaiian family neighborhood, we ask that our guests also treat our neighbors and other locals with respect. Thank you! :)

Notes: Maid service is available on request! This involves towel/bedding laundry, kitchen, bathroom, and floors. Violet or Niki will be watering all indoor and outdoor plants on Tuesdays and Fridays at 3pm.

Transit: Our space is conveniently located above two main highways. We are approximately 5 minutes away from Costco, 5 minutes away from other grocery stores, 10 minutes away from the airport, 10 minutes away from downtown, and 5 minutes away from the closest beach. We recommend renting a car during your stay as our island is vast and all of the best adventures call for driving.

Access: The main entrance is to the right through the white gate in front of your parking stall. We ask that guest please enter this way to give our parents and yourselves some extra privacy, though there is another entry door to the left in front of the main house entrance.

Interaction: If you are staying in our home then this usually means that we will be away traveling. We try to keep our phones on hand but may not be available at times due to work or being out of the country. You will always have a host/house manager to contact if we are unavailable :)

House Rules: Quiet hours are from 9pm - 7am. Please remove shoes before entering home. Only one vehicle allowed per booking. Must tolerate kitties as our kitties do roam the property + patio :) We regularly treat our home and property for bug/pest control. Our vendors use an organic material as we have a sustainable home. But please keep in mind that we do live in the tropics and bugs can be inevitable, especially certain times of year. Here are some things we recommend to keep the critters away : - always clean up any food or cooking messes - do not leave any food out on counters - we also suggest keeping your shoes inside as well - keep natural bug spray handy while in the outdoors It was quite an adjustment for us moving to the tropics from the mainland so we always like for our guests to be prepared, especially when visiting the wet side of the island! :) Basic cleaning supplies are available for any unusual messes or accidents. Please wash dishes and take out trash prior to check out. All

Comments: We loved this place! Its incredible what can be done with a garage! The interior design is exactly how it looks on the pictures. You feel like living in a magazine. The only thing you have to know is that you need a car for everything. But you probably need that anyway. By car all the shops, beaches and restaurants are very close. We would love to come back!:)

Comments: The Nook is even more beautiful than the pictures show! It is absolutely gorgeous. Fully stocked kitchen, nice comfortable space to share some down time, and VERY comfortable bed and linens. Ciara had some spot-on recommendation for where to go for coffee, food and groceries, and her communication was 100% - even going so far as to ask her neighbors to be respectful of quiet time during 4th of July celebrations, with no expectation from us that she'd do so. VERY thoughtful. Highly recommend!!

Comments: The Nook is as beautiful as in the pictures, and even cozier than it looks. The location is perfect, close to a grocery store, top restaurants, beaches, and most of the Kailua-Kona-Kohala activites, without the big touristy crowds of the Koahala coast. It's also an easy hour drive for farther activites such as exploring Hawi and the Pololu Valley, the Waipio Valley, Waimea or stargazing on the Mauna Kea. We found it very convenient :) Ciara was very very responsive to any request or issues we had, and we appreciated it. We felt welcome, and it was a wonderful home away from home :) We highly recommend it!!

Comments: Choose Ciara‘s place if you want to feel at home during your stay. It not only provides everything one needs but also offers a great atmosphere. There are millions of warmly decorated details and ideas that will inspire you. And all animal lovers will be charmed by the two kitties living there. Located very close to Kona but nevertheless in a calm neighborhood, it is a perfect starting point for exploring the western but also northern and southern parts of the island. Supermarkets, restaurants etc. are less than a 10 minute drive away. It definitely was one of the best Airbnb’s we ever stayed at. Even though we could not meet Ciara, she always responded quickly and there were detailed and helpful instructions that explained everything. We would immediately stay there again!

Comments: The Little Nook was a wonderful place to stay in on the Big Island. The hosts made the space feel welcoming and very cozy. Like the hosts and any visitor would suggest, renting a car is the best choice for transportation. Access to restaurants, public facilities, and other places are all without much hassle. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Hawaii!

Comments: Beautiful home. If felt like we were staying in a bohemian chic boutique.The air conditioning was sufficient for the bedroom, and everything was very bright and cheery. The outdoor shower and outdoor daybed were exceptional touches as well. This would be a lovely Bungalo to snuggle up in With the book. Cat lovers will adore the resident (though optional) felines. This side of the island is known for large and plentiful bugs however. While very few are inside, you may want to leave your sneakers behind closed doors. Definitely recommend this Home. Mahalo!

Comments: Ciara and Caleb’s home is just unreal. From the perfectly styled nooks, luxe day bed, to the view of gorgeous pastel sunsets, it is an extremely well thought out place to relax. The organic soaps, snorkelling gear and other thoughtful details were spot on, as were Ciara’s recommendations of food spots, beaches and must sees. Couldn’t get any better really.

Comments: Adorable little hidden gem right in a residential neighborhood. We had the awesome experience of feeling like a local while at the same time feeling cozy and on vacation. Close enough to town that we didn’t have any kind of lengthy drives, but close the gate and we suddenly escaped to our own private vacation getaway. “Local Nook” really is the perfect way to describe this charming place! Comments: I love Ciara’s place. She has really nice touches and the pictures are beyond beautiful. I stayed for three nights. My first night was smooth, second night ran into some spiders but I can deal with them and then my third night my fear of roaches was upon me. I tried to wing it but then the roaches decided to have wings of their own. I had to leave my last night around 1 am to get a hotel. Otherwise this place was affordable and in a great location. Close to the restaurants and shops. Also near the airport.

Comments: My boyfriend and I came on a vacation and had the BEST time! The local nook is perfect. It’s like living in Pinterest. Hah. It’s a cozy space but with plenty of room! I lived on the outdoor bed and my bf loved the outdoor shower. It truly is a magical place. And so close to lots of shops and restaurants. We loved staying local rather than going to a blah hotel. The space is adorable and we enjoyed being able to do our own thing. We even found a small beach nearby with sooo many sea turtles! You will definitely need a car for this location but if you want to stay like a local- you can’t do better than the local nook. We would highly recommend- can’t beat the price either. Can’t say enough good things.
