Comments: Joseph is an energetic, interactive and very solicitous host. When we arrived he had pizza, soup and dessert for us. His home is very eclectic with many pictures of his family. On our second morning he fixed breakfast for us. After finishing some dental work he allowed us to stay later than the usual checkout time. He was very helpful with finding things, providing maps for us and recommendations for restaurants.

Comments: Joseph was a fantastic host! He offered to prepare dinner and breakfast, took me to the location of a half-marathon I was running nearby and stayed around until the end to cheer me on! I could not ask for a nicer host. Nothing to point out about the accommodations: cozy and tidy, everything was as described. I would certainly stay again with Joseph should I return to the area.

Comments: Joseph's home is BRIGHT and CHEERY and full of LIFE! Everything is clean and placed well. Joseph was very communicative, and went out of his way to meet me outside the building to help me when I first arrived. He went beyond expectations to prepare a full dinner my first night, and was very patient with my ever-changing business trip requirements.

Comments: My business trip requirements changed, and Joseph was gracious enough to accommodate me to rent the room for an additional night, even though this placed him at some inconvenience with his own plans, and I definitely appreciate his flexibility and hospitality.

Comments: In all of NYC, I wound up having the best host. I am certain of it. I came to his wonderful apartment jet lagged & exhausted from a 36 hours of flight & travel time. He personally greeted me warmly with a comforting plate of Italian pasta with kidney beans and smoked cheese. It was quite good. He gave me all the subway info I needed easily, and all his info was accurate. As if this guy hadn't done more than enough already, he ended up giving me a pair of tennis shoes bc my luggage didn't make it and I had no shoes suitable for walking the streets of NY. This place is awesome. You should consider yourself lucky if he has an opening for you.

Comments: Handsome Joe Hanley is not only a gracious host with a nice place, but a great cook, a funny stand-up comic, and a wonderful guide for bay ridge and beyond. Truly one of the kindest people I've ever stayed with, he put up with me for a whole month and was truly above and beyond the whole time! Thanks for the good food and good memories!
