Comments: Satoshi is a wonderful and gracious host! This quiet little hostel is tucked away in a jungle paradise, but was perfectly located close to the volcano and only a short drive from Hilo. The place was so warm and inviting with clean rooms and bathrooms, a huge kitchen common area, and tons of foliage surrounding it. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! I hope to visit again soon.

Comments: The neighborhood is great, there is ample parking. the rooms are very clean and there is a common kitchen one can use. Satoshi was not the most welcoming of hosts and did not communicate very well on our arrival. We didn't mind, though, since his accommodation was affordable in a super pricey town and it well suited to our needs. I would go again.

Comments: We rented a private room with bathroom, stayed there with our toddler son. Room was very large and comfortable. The entire hostel is very clean and spacious. Great location for exploring the volcano. If you get a chance, talk to Satoshi - super interesting and well-travelled guy.

Comments: Our stay at Satochi's place was truly wonderfull. What you see is what you get and you can clearly see that it is a longrunning business. For the price you pay you get everything you expect. The place is actually more a hostel then a privately run airbnb. The room we had had it's own bathroom so all fine. Location is truly perfect at the entrance of the national volcano parc. I can only highly recommend this place for your stay.

Comments: Satoshi San wasn't there during our short 1 night stay, but Mei Ho, the Inn Keeper helped to make sure we find everything we need. The clean community kitchen where I enjoyed my poke and seaweed. Mei Ho also share with us her farming experience in the volcano area ...a small vegetables farm that I saw from our private room. The private room with the bath is clean and surely keep us out from the cold. Dave thought it is even warmer than he would expect. Everything exceed our expectations, friendly host and a very clean Inn!

Comments: Satoshi is a great guy, talked with him for a while. The hostel is clean and has a great kitchen. Once you do the check in you can access the place anytime with a key pad. It's on a dirt road in the middle of the village, very slow pace here but a great get away.

Comments: We had a great time staying here. Room was nice and clean. It was too bad we couldn't have a key to our room as we were only staying for one night. We had our own private bathroom in the room. Nice and quite. The hostel is in the jungle, very dark at night, so I recommend checking in earlier while it's still light out.

Comments: If you are visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, this is the best place to stay. You are less than 2 miles from the park entrance. The kitchen is big and would accommodate many guests. We had a private bedroom with private bath that was clean and comfortable. This is a place to stay if you are interested in interacting with other guests and getting out to see the outdoors!

Comments: Our stay was fantastic overall - the location is a five-minute drive from Volcanoes National Park with a gas station on the way, the rooms were very comfy and clean, the wooden panelling inside is quite nice, the common area had some interesting books and maps to look at, and Satoshi was very accommodating and responsive.

Comments: Great for visiting the volcano national park. You can watch the lava in the evening without the need to drive far way after that. The communication was quick and we managed to secure an extra day of stay on the same day.

Comments: Great location near the Volcano National Park. Did not interact much with the hosts. It's an Inn so there are other rooms available and the room is being cleaned every day which is nice. I would totally recommend the place to anyone looking for a place near the volcanoes. There is also a great restaurant in the Kilauea lodge in the Volcano village which we enjoyed a lot.

Comments: We enjoyed our night here. Great peaceful jungle area. We enjoyed the sounds of the birds. Welcoming and a nice hostel environment. The place has a slight musty smell (maybe because it's in the jungle), but our private room was pristine.

Comments: Rustic, clean, comfortable hostel near Volcano National Park. Get groceries in Hilo; local ones poorly stocked and way overpriced.

Comments: My husband and I spent 2 nights at Holoholo Inn and we really enjoyed our stay at Satoshi’s place. I love everything about our room and the inn: its wooden wall, its wooden floor, the lush greenery around the house. The inn doesn’t have much (extravagant and unnecessary) furniture and decors. Rather it’s simple, knit and clean. It’s also very close to the entrance of the Volcano national park, less than 10 minute drive, which is so important if you want to go out to see the lava at midnight like we did. I will definitely stay at Holoholo inn again next time I come back to Big Island!
