Comments: I had the greatest time here. First of all, what a cool experience. If you are into lush rainforests, organic fruits/veggies/nuts growing on-site, and stellar landscaping - than this is your place. The room is very very nice and the property is super cool. The donkey, Mocha, is fun to see work his magic and the house puppy is really cute. Meanwhile, Sherry is a great host who gave me a very thorough intro to organic farming and a lot of encouragement to get starred myself. Highly recommend this place. NOTE - be sure to follow Sherry'a directions here and NOT (Hidden by Airbnb) /apple maps. Your tires will thank you!

Comments: Sherri had a warm Aloha welcome when we arrived!! The property was as described. It's definitely "shabby Chic" but very clean & comfy. Loved the great bed!!

Comments: Sherri's place is very magical & grounding & we enjoyed our several days here. Unfortunately, we were on the run visiting a sick family member & never got to really visit or talk. We loved the night time noises, but realize it wouldn't be for everyone. The grounds are beautiful, we only wished we had more time to explore! We thought the location was good, in a beautiful neighborhood.

Comments: Sherry our host is an amazing person. Her place in the middle of the jungle is a little paradise if you like animals. The place is filled with her art and her heart. It was an amazing stay at her place. We thank her a lot.

Comments: Airbnb is so fabulous! Instead of staying in a sterile hotel, I was able to meet Sherrie and see what life in the jungle is like and enjoy all of her delightful animals! If you are an animal lover, this is the place to go. It's a bit remote (bring a prepared dinner with you because you won't want to leave once you're there), but the upstairs room is so wonderful to be in, three sides with windows that look out into the garden and the palm trees. It has a real tree house feel to it. Sherrie showed me how to feed papaya peels to the donkey, and Mr. Chris, the cat, bounded in the door when I opened it and spent the nights with me on the king-size bed, which was a treat for me. If you are an adventurer and love being in open air, with the sounds of frogs at night, this is a wonderful stop just outside of Hilo and Keaau.

Comments: We really had a wonderful time at Sherri's gardens. Her place is so full of life and great energy! Her attention to detail made our stay pleasant and unforgettable. She left fruit and goodies for breakfast which we truly appreciated and really enjoyed. Her place at night is surrounded by the sound of nature and peace. We look forward to coming back!

Comments: Beautiful apartment on beautiful land in Keaau (Puna district). The apartment was spacious, cool, relaxed, and the art was a lovely touch! The garden was lush and the animals were really cute. The night sounds were great, although some people may be more sensitive to it (Sherri has provided earplugs if that turns out to be the case). Sherri is an extremely welcoming host and did everything to make us feel comfortable. We were welcomed to the place but then left in complete privacy. When we had a question, she was extremely quick to respond and accommodating in every way.

Comments: Animal lovers rejoice! Sherri is very friendly and her place is amazing. We fed the ducks and befriended all her (Website hidden by Airbnb) 2 year old daughter loved it. Thanks Sherri for everything!

Comments: Sherri is a fantastic host. She lives a little off the beaten path so you get a real local feel whole still being close to everything. Sherri was so sweet and welcoming and really made us feel comfortable. She has a donkey and goat and adorable little critters that you can play with and it was a lovely experience. We unfortunately had a travel issue and had to depart early but in our short stay it was clear Sherri has a little slice of heaven in paradise. The attached apartment has everything you need and Sherri has put her own artistic touch on the place. It is spacious for 2 people and just a short ride to downtown Hilo. Would definitely stay again.

Comments: Pros: 1) Many animals (donkey, rabbits, ...). Very interesting for someone like me who spends life in offices/apartments. 2) Like your own world. No people around. 3) Beautiful nature. There are many windows in bedroom, it's possible to imagine that you are sleeping in jungle. 4) Close to Hilo, Volcanoes National Park. Pros/cons: 1) I like to sleep listening sounds of nature: rain, birds singing and so on. But the second person in our party used earplugs provided by Sherri. So it depends on you if this is pros or cons. Need to mention: the road is unpaved. We rented SUV, so no problems at all. But I think, that "smaller" cars are suitable as well.

Comments: It was very nice staying with Sherri. We loved the bed in the jungle and the animals, especially the donkey. It was cozy and relaxing, like being at home. We miss the donkey who greeted us every day and did a summersault for us to get carrots.

Comments: We had a lovely time staying on Sherri's beautiful property. It is a real jungle paradise! The animals were very friendly and great to wake up to.

Comments: Truly an "Enchanted Garden". If you want to get away and into a beautiful garden, this is the place for you. When you sit on the outside veranda, there is a myriad of color and life that surrounds you. A little off the beaten path, but well worth it.

Comments: If you are looking to see the natural side of Hawaii Island, be in the rainforest, and rest in a safe, clean, beautiful and eco- friendly home-- book with Sherri!!! Sherri is a true artist, her art is everywhere around the property from the floor to the ceilings and outside. Everything is so pretty and dream-like so "Enchanted gardens" is fitting. Little touches throughout the home really tie everything together. the property is somewhat remote but only a short drive to town, the beach, and Volcano national park. You get the perks of being surrounded in rainforest and privacy but still get convenience, wifi, and hot water. Sherri was so helpful with anything we needed; she shared her art supplies with me and loaned us snorkel equipment and pool noodles after telling us the best spots on the island. Sherri and the animals were all sweet hearts. My favorite was the lovable pup, the friendly donkey and the happy chickens walking about the yard. She provided fresh fruit daily and offered us any fruit growing on the property. She even gave me a beautiful bouquet to take home with me. It was wonderful! My fiancé and I decided to get married on the big island, and we TRULY could not have had a better time or stayed anywhere better. Great for couples who want to adventure but have somewhere beautiful to come home to! Enjoy your trip, book Sherri!!!!

Comments: Stayed at this delightful jungle bungalow for five days. Located in the rain forest outside of Hilo, it's a bit of a drive to get there but worth it for the quiet and intense green vegetation that surrounds the place. The rain was constant - at least during our stay - but it's not cold, just cool. The house itself is funky and full of Sherri's handicrafts, art and artifacts. Sherri was a great and understanding host as well. Would love to come back next time!

Comments: Amazing value. Spacious bedroom and living area, beautiful views of the surrounding forest from the second floor. Very peaceful because the unit doesn't share any walls, ceilings, or floors with anyone else. We loved falling asleep to the sounds of the forest and the rain. Sherri has created a unique and beautiful paradise here. All of the animals are charming, especially the donkey. If you stay on a Wednesday, be sure to visit Uncle Robert's Night Market for live music, food, and a great view of the glow from Kilauea. Sherri was extremely responsive and accomodating.
