The location was very handy to the remarkable Manly and the ferries allowed us to get to the city. The weather was lovely warm during our stay. the views from the balcony was spectacular.

  Comments: Leslie's family home is close to the bus line and ferry; an hour ride from the airport and a thirty minute commute to Sydney Harbor. The room has plenty of sleeping quarters, the bathroom is stocked with all essentials (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer), and breakfasts are light and delicious. Having a refrigerator, microwave,tea and coffee pot are helpful; and a washing machine within the unit is terrific. The family accommodated all are requests; we traveled some days as two persons and some days we had three persons. Leslie helped us with restaurant suggestions and paths to walk.

  Comments: The apartment was great. It is away from the city area, and in a little town, away from all the noise. The balcony view is great. The room is very cosy with everything you need. There is a washing machine as well. Breakfast was great and communicating with Leslie was very easy and accurate. She was very accommodating and understanding. There is a bus stop nearby that allows us to take the bus to the city. There is a comes supermarket nearby too. Thank you Leslie and family. We'll miss you!

  Comments: We loved the location, with amazing views of the bay from the deck. The coastal walk to the Manly ferry terminal was delightful and the ride across the Harbour spectacular. We took the bus back to the house from Manly and that was very easy with buses running every 10 minutes. The apartment was perfect for 3 of us with a small fridge, TV, washing machine and milk, coffee and tea provided. We were very comfortable. One really nice touch was the amazing breakfasts Leslie made for us. Thanks so much. We highly recommend this place

  Comments: Would recommend if you need a place to crash and experience Sydney. Checking out the buses to the Manly Wharf and the Ferry to the CBD was a thrilling experience. No need for a car to drive around. There are nearby restaurants and Supermarkets for convenience as well as a lovely complementary breakfast provided by the host.

  Comments: We really enjoyed our stay with Leslie and her family. My son was delighted that Leslie's son is a talented jazz musician and they ended up playing some jazz together. It was a very good start to our few days with them. The basement is quite spacious and doesn't feel like a basement as it is beautifully decorated with Leslie's son's artwork. I enjoyed my morning tea and fruit provided by Leslie on the deck with a quintessential Australian view; a kookaburra sitting on a nearby television aerial and the Manly ferries on the harbour. A perfect way to start the day! We would love to return and I recommend anyone considering staying to do so.

  Comments: Leslie's home is definitely one that my family and I would love to revisit! It was perfect for an intimate quality time spent with family in the basement studio. While noises of upstairs and neighbour's dogs was audible on occasion, it did not affect our stay. Beds were comfortable and we still got a good night's rest. The TV entertainment and wifi access was helpful and the stunning views overlooking the sails is second to none!! Leslie's complimentary breakfast was exceptional and her and her family made our stay feel like home - if not, better than our home in fact! Thank you again!

Small touches like a bath robe, clothes washing and drying facilities, Apple TV and Netflix - all added to the experience! Close to supermarket and shopping centre and bus to Manly. Hosts were friendly and helpful - even letting me store my bags after check out! Sincerely enjoyed my stay. Only downfall is that I wasn't able to stay longer!! Thanks again Leslie!

  Comments: A simple, clean room with galley kitchen facilities (including dishwasher, fridge and induction cook plates (rather than a stove persay) and a good size bathroom. We were only there one night, so didn't get to experience either the room or the magnificent view (due to poor weather) to any great extent, or the other nice touches like the provided Opal cards. The beds were comfy and warm. Loved the spare toothbrush - as I actually forgot to pack mine! There are quite a few stairs to contend with but this is pointed out in the dossier (that I failed to read carefully). Also a quiet neighbourhood. Leslie responded to any query we had very quickly. A very good first up Airbnb experience.

  Comments: The view from this place is truly beautiful! The kitchen is well equipped. This place could be used just as easily for a long stay as it was for our shorter one. We were there for three days. Leslie was a very thoughtful host, leaving wine and chocolates in the fridge, and even brought by Band-Aids for me when I got a really bad blister from my new shoes. DOWNSIDES: As mentioned in previous reviews, the basement holds moisture. As long as you keep using the de-humidifier, you’ll be okay. A major problem we had was Sydney’s inconsistent public transit, more specifically the buses. If you’re used to relying on transit, look for a place that is closer to the central parts of town. I think of all the buses we took, we had ONE arrive on time. Some showed up 10 minutes after the scheduled time, and one didn’t even show up at all. So, look for something nearer the main harbour or CBD, or you can do like we did a lot of the time: walk down to the Manly Wharf (about 25 min walk) and take the ferry to the main harbour, and only stick to the areas that are closest. Honestly, take the ferries as much as possible. The views are phenomenal. They absolutely -made- the trip for us!

Also, the balcony, whilst beautiful is a shared space so don’t go with the expectation that you’ll definitely be able to use it. We enjoyed our stay and was very convenient having somewhere to stay after a nearby event but probably wouldn’t recommend for a ‘holiday’ purpose.
